No loss this week. (I think. My scale was jumping all over this morning.) Anyway, at first it was disappointment, but considering how off last week was, I'm probably lucky I didn't go up. Congrats everyone who lost!

Well, I am back up a pound to 190.  Mostly due to a sudden lack of exercise due to too much work on the house, and not enough work on the body.  Going to start the exercise again today!

Try shaking up your calorie intake.  I find that it usually works.

Hi ribble,

I have to agree with Javan with respect to shaking up your calorie intake.

If I understand what he's saying, stick religiously to your normal eating and exercise program for a week.  Go off over the week end and treat yourself to something you wouldn't normally eat.  For example, my wife and I went away for a weekend a couple of weeks ago.  Friday evening I had a few bourbons and we ate pizza.  On Saturday night we went for dinner and I had a bourbon again (picking up a pattern here>),a salad, grilled fish with vegtables and a light lemon sauce but I had a creme brulee for dessert.  It was great.  I made it a point to work out the day we left and used the gym at the resort we stayed at on Saturday.  I didn't work out on Sunday.

The following Monday I weighed in and only lost a pound but that week I hit it hard again and the next Monday I showed a loss of 3 lbs.

I guess it's akin to tricking your body and metabolism.  I've done it a few times to kickstart when I think I'm hitting a plateau.  If you're close to your goal weight that could be the problem too.  This may do the trick.

Disclaimer: if you gain, you treated yourself too much.

Down a pound this week, bringing me down to 146lbs. I am 5lbs shy of the goal so I hope I get my butt in gear here. I think I've hit a bit of a plateau since I'm doing everything "right" still. Ah well.

Starting weight - 200lbs

Starting weight (for challange): 157

Current weight: 146

Hi pbf4326e

Thanks for the tip (and disclaimer ).  I certainly need something to kick start /kid my metabolism.  It may well be the cause as I've maybe over religiously sticking to watching what I eat snce the second week.  Think I'll give it a go tomorrow probably and see how its goes.  The way I feel anything is worth a try.

I'm sorry but I just now sent this week's update to Peter (on Friday morning).  I was having technical difficulties last couple days.  Eeek.

Hi, I have just joined the site and would like to join in if it isn't too late? Starting weight 255 lbs, this week weighed 251lbs, lose of 4lbs.

I've only got a week or so to go before the end of this challenge, so my target is 248. Hope to lose 7lbs.

Also, will there be another challenge after this one? Seeing as I've tagged on so late.

Thanks, Kez x

There's always another challenge!

We'll add you in next week's update.

Be sure to make your goal realistic. I like baby steps that encourage me as I go. I've already met my goal for this challenge because it was easily achievable. Can't wait for the next challenge to keep going!

That's a good one, Peter, but not as much fun as reaching for your mate instead of the plate.

My weight may have went down a little bit but since I don't have a digital scale it is hard for me to read exactly so.....I will just say no weight loss this week.

I have to work a little harder this week...I have been slacking:)

Hmmm, I seem to be having scale issues too - I'll be buying a new one. Mine reported that I weighed somewhere between 23. 8 pounds and 275....since last week was 159, I'm thinking neither of those weights could be correct!! I am afraid I may have gained a pound or two - it was a very odd week - my daughter's birthday party, a couple of days of not being able to workout, and working late a couple of days = bad eating, not enough water, and too much sodium. Let's just say 161 for this week, and I'll hope I'm wrong...

Greetings!

My weight stayed the same this week.  Works for me, although a loss would have been nicer.

This is my final weigh in.  My husband and I leave for vacation tomorrow and I iwon't be here for the final weigh in.

I still have my goal weight in mind but I am not taking it on vacation with me. !!

Current weight:  148

Hello Everyone

Back from work/vacation trip to Hawaii - great weather - good time.  I thought I was going to weigh more but surprise I lost a pound - must have been all that hiking in Kauai - very rocky hiking trails.

I am at 123 today - I will probably not reach my goal by next week so hopefully we can keep this go
ing until Easter - if not I will have to find a diet buddy to keep me motivated.
