Hello
Time for the weigh-in - still at 124 - must have been the pizza and wine - oh well it was yummy!

Hi All,
I lost 1/2lb, at least I am not at a stand still again, and it went down some. That puts me down to 215.5 almost 1/2 way to my goal.

I anxiously joined this group..and looked so forward to losing weight. I gained 3 pounds. I actually go up and down 180-177 and back again. Does anyone here have any ideas? I use my elliptical, I do aerobics a few times a week, I run up and down the stairs all day after my grandchildren. I have changed my eating habits so much in the past few years its unbelievable. But since quitting smoking, ( 3 .5 years ago) I just can't seem to get down to a reasonable weight. I'm about ready to try any suggestions offered at this point, I'm so disappointed with my accomplishments thus far. Thanks

Todays weight 172lbs not bad seeing as how I've been pigging out the last two weeks with four course breakfasts and evening meals. Skiing must burn off a lot of calories.
Still means I've got 11lbs to lose over the next few weeks tho.

You might want to use a pedometer to track you steps. Sometimes we think we are doing a lot but should be doing more. Of course, if you are over 40, you know how slow the metabolism is. I know when I use a pedometer and can see that I have walked at least 10,000 steps a day, my weight does come off.
Good luck and hang in there. It is just plain hard to lose weight!

I honestly use a pedometer daily, and strive to hit 1000 steps per day. I do in fact hit it daily...when i fall short..I jump on my elliptical to bring it up . Good advice and would encourage everyone to use a pedometer . They really help.

Hey Everyone!
I bought a scale over the weekend so Im able to keep on tracking!!! I lost 2 pounds in the last 2 weeks so my new weight is 147!

Amazingly enough, I was 126.5 again today--exactly the same as last Monday. Oops, I just noticed that midnight has come and gone. That weight was Monday AM. I had thought that my scale was probably off last week, so I am actually pleased to be the same this week.
I see that lots of pounds have been lost. Congratulations to all who did, and hugs to those who will still be trying next week.

Yay, down 4lbs this week! After staying the same last week, I am very pleased with this, and so happy to finally be out of the 150's!
