Your goals are realistic.  It's so funny - billions of dollars are spent every year on weight loss "solutions". 

Once your daily caloric intake to maintain your current weight is calculated and a safe daily caloric "budget" is determined based on factors such as:

  • how much weight you want to loose
  • safe period of time to achieve that goal
  • estimated daily caloric "budget"
the rest is basic math - calories in < calories expended.  We all know that so we should all be rich and fit :wink:

that is all great in theory but for some there are other blockers... whatever those may be.

I am VERY active and I KNOW I burn more calories than I take in and still my scale remains the SAME...

any suggestions there?

so I know that this isn't monday but I normally only weigh once a month but we are going on vacation soon so wanted to know my weight before hand to know if I gain/lose on vacation.

 

My weight is roughly 155 (I actually weighed on the scale at 153 but that was in the morning, normally we weigh in the evening so I added 2 pounds)

155 is a 2 pound loss

I didnt post my weight this week I was so embarrassed. I gained - in one week - 11 pounds!! Didnt think this was possible at all :sad: and cant explain it to myself. I did not eat THAT much...

I'm blown away by all the participants in this challenge.  Let's all give it a good push this weekend so those numbers on Monday will show a big loss.  Last week was over 150# and that's not with everyone reporting.

Unfortunately, nothing lost this week. However, nothing gained either. Will start in earnest this week - last week I was visiting friends and didn't join until Wednesday. So, will work on losing a couple of pounds for next Monday's posting. Did a lot of walking though, 10.000 steps and over on Saturday and Sunday.
