My goal is to get down to 110, is that realistic? I'm 5'1
I'm 5'2 and 120 with a goal weight of 110. We can do it!

Very attainable, and more likely to be lasting. We spend years putting on weight, and then are disappointed when we can't lose it fast. It only leads to failure.

Hi again Angel,
First let me congratulate you for thinking enough about yourself to make a lifestyle change. You are starting off on the right foot by realizing multiple "baby steps" add up. Celebrate each day you stay on track and each intermediate goal accomplished.
The need for assistance with motivation is common. If you would like, I'd be happy to exchange email addresses to help.

Hi y'all,
Your goals are realistic. It's so funny - billions of dollars are spent every year on weight loss "solutions".
Once your daily caloric intake to maintain your current weight is calculated and a safe daily caloric "budget" is determined based on factors such as:
- how much weight you want to loose
- safe period of time to achieve that goal
- estimated daily caloric "budget"
the rest is basic math - calories in < calories expended. We all know that so we should all be rich and fit

that is all great in theory but for some there are other blockers... whatever those may be.
I am VERY active and I KNOW I burn more calories than I take in and still my scale remains the SAME...
any suggestions there?

so I know that this isn't monday but I normally only weigh once a month but we are going on vacation soon so wanted to know my weight before hand to know if I gain/lose on vacation.
My weight is roughly 155 (I actually weighed on the scale at 153 but that was in the morning, normally we weigh in the evening so I added 2 pounds)
155 is a 2 pound loss

Katze,
If you gained a whole lot in a short time much of it is probably water weight and you can lose it fast.
The fact that you posted your gain shows that you are committed!

Hey everyone!
I'm blown away by all the participants in this challenge. Let's all give it a good push this weekend so those numbers on Monday will show a big loss. Last week was over 150# and that's not with everyone reporting.
It's still not too late to join. If you've posted your starting weight and goal weight, then remember to post your current weight each Monday.
Have a great weekend!!!

Unfortunately, nothing lost this week. However, nothing gained either. Will start in earnest this week - last week I was visiting friends and didn't join until Wednesday. So, will work on losing a couple of pounds for next Monday's posting. Did a lot of walking though, 10.000 steps and over on Saturday and Sunday.
