Looks like your ticker is right, but you did it a little differently than me as to how many pounds you want to lose instead of starting and end weight, which is fine.  Here's mine..

This morning:  134.6 - 2.4 pounds lost!  More importantly, I'm starting to fit back into some of my old (not-so-fat) clothes!  What a great way to start the week.  And it's warm out (in upstate NY, that's 50 degrees), so I get to run outside today!!!  Yipee!

katie in spain, you need to copy and paste the first box for the blog site, I think it says url.... instead of http....

You can also preview your message to see if you got it right.

GeeGee - you probably need to change your parameters if you want it to show start and current weight.  You may have chosen to post weight change instead of simply weight.

Hope that helps.

MY WEIGH IN!!!

I am shocked shocked shocked.  Since I have also been sick with a sinus infection and not working out I was really expecting a gain (or at least no loss) this week.  So I had to weigh 4 times this morn to make sure I had it right.

Start weight (Dec 30 I think)-173

Today's weight-167

That's a loss of 6 pounds.

It must be all the stuff I've been blowing out of my nose.  (I know that's gross-sorry.)

I weigh in again in 2 weeks.

I am now officially over half way to my final goal weight.  I am so excited.

The temp is nice here in KS today but it is sprinkling a little on and off.  I think I'll get out there for a walk anyway and then this afternoon I see my trainer.

Hi DG.  Can you add me to the list?  I started my weightloss on January 3rd but just noticed the challenge today!  I want to lose a total of 20 pounds.  I'm 47 yrs old, 5'7" and very determined!!!

Not sure if that amount of weight loss by February 29th is realistic, but I'll give it a shot!

That's ok ArmyChiefsWife!!!  You can do it!!  Stay positive!!

I've found that during the day if I start to feel a little hungry and it's not quite time to eat yet, I drink water!!  Always works and you need 8-10 (8oz) glasses a day to burn fat effectively and it helps with the bloaty, cushy feeling.

Hi there Sarah Beth,

Yes, I've tried that.  I've tried it the way they say in the members' instructions help thingy. I've done it before but failed this time, so I put it down to the scale fairy.  She's mad at me because I had some candy, cake AND a hamburger!!!:chewing:  Therefore, I haven't lost anything this week.:nono:

I promise to be good from now on so that the fairy will make my ticker work!:down_arrow:

DeterminedGal,

You can wait and add me to the challenge NEXT week, as I'm just joining today. As I committed to a few weeks ago when you announced the challenge, I waited till all my holidays were over.

I'm going to set my goal at a pound a week, for all 8 weeks, starting at 192. So my goal will be 184.

This is actually an ambitious goal because I have not been going to the gym for a month and I will be starting back today. I will gain a lot of muscle back, which will cause me to put on weight. So I must actually lose much more than 8 pounds of fat to reach my goal.

All right.  So it seems that I gained weight.  That's not so good.  The "no sugar" situation didn't pan out as I had hoped.

Started at 122

Today 125

Goal 118

Well I started at 186 and I am still 186.

HOWEVER

I started the week eating homemade peanut brittle and pecan brittle made by the great candymaker here at work.  I finished the week eating a salad with lots of vegies and a big bowl of lentil soup for dinner last night, while my DH and friends had deep dish pizza.  So I consider that a major change.

My motto is one day at a time, one hour at a time, one minute at a time

And nothing tastes as good as being thinner feels

Reporting in on my weigh in.  I went from 307 to 302 for a 5 lb loss this week.  I think at this rate I will be able to make my challenge goal weight of 295 after all.  Of course I realize that probably all of that is water weight but it sure is encouraging to see that big a change.  Generally I lose about a pound a week if I am doing the right things.  But even if I am able to lose just a pound a week from here on out I should make the goal.

Thanks DG for the challenge!

Reporting in.  206 this morning.  1.5 pounds less.  Guess it's a start.  Put in 14 miles this week which will increase.  We'll see if that helps.

It's so easy to get discouraged but 1.5 pounds in a week is wonderful.  We get impatient, but have to remember how long it took to put the weight on.  It didn't go on overnight so it sure isn't going to come off overnight!!

Keep up the great work!!

Thanks!  I have NEVER had to diet (and never have) before.  I was very active in HS and college and now I have gotten disgusted with the belly that I am now carring around.  1.5 is something so I am happy with that!  Thanks for the encouragement!  You guys rock!

1.5 a week is great.  That's 78 lbs. a year!!!  That would put you at 128 lbs by next January.

Hello all! I am just writing to say I will not be weighing-in until tomorrow, as Tuesdays have always been my weigh-in days. I feel I did good this week though, so I am hoping for that 2lbs loss.

Congrats to everyone so far!

(I am editing this because I actually messed up and put my starting weight at 158 instead of 157, and also messed up my goal weight - I was at 158 for  afew weeks, I guess that's why)

Also, it seems I am not on the list for some reason. I just checked and my name is MIA. Please add me! If you need the info again, here it is.

Starting weight is 157lbs

Goal by the end of Feb: 141lbs

This is a 2lbs per week loss. Thanks!

My ticker attached to the email last night and I wasn't execting it to.  It didn't attach to the email today, and I was expecting it to.  Any advice on this is welcome.  I'll keep trying.
