CW 179.5. 1.4, feeling pretty good. Long way to go but at least it's moving in the right direction.

If it's okay to still join, I'd like to. My starting weight is 220 lbs and my height is 5'4". I'll weigh in on Mondays. My goal is to lose 15 lbs, getting down to 205. That's about 3 lbs per week, which I think is realistic since I'm very obese.

My true goal is to be 117-123 so I have essentially achieved being at the midpoint. I have designed this range to allow me to fluctuate but really the aim is to stay in this middle - NOT to be at the bottom of that range. So soon enough my concern might be not to lose any more weight (without adversely changing my eating habits, without calorie counting, without doing something that will trigger regain etc.).
I am planning some junk food today (IKEA cooked breakfast in less than an hour - did someone say 'perfect ETL'?), I do not think there's any need to worry about being underweight (111lb is a rather wide 9lb margin away).

| Nir, you do a great job at keeping your weight where you want it, give or take a couple pounds. I swear if I ever get back to goal I am going to try and emulate you and Nancy_in_GA, you two really seem to know how to do it and I know from experience it is not easy. Great job. And BTW, thank you so much for doing these challenges, they do help and I know they are alot of work for you.

Maintenance is arguably more of a challenge than weight loss because it is a lot less sexy. Clearly I am still adjusting to it (as is Nancy). Right now I'd like to know whether I'll still be eating 'sweets' in 6 months' time or whether this will looked back at as a regrettable episode!

Ok I am putting my weight in reluctantly. I was doing well and down to 153, but had really tough couple of weeks and I am back up to 156.5.
So my weigh in is 156.5.
However I am back on track and ready to get back into the challenge. Weigh ins will be every Sunday for me.
My motivation is family picture and summer vacations on the beach and to be healthy.

Rather pleased with this as I've dropped out of counting calories. Hopefully I just needed a few weeks of it to remind myself of roughly how many calories various things have. :)

161 today.
Knew it would come back down, its just always so frustrating how much i can fluctuate. Trying to fend off a cold too, doesnt help, want to rest...ugh!

(Update - physicsdiet.com is up and running.)
Since the last weigh-in I've had an IKEA breakfast, various sweets here and there and two (count them) Pizza Hut outings! Otherwise Eat To Live is my baseline.
My lowest weigh-in in 14 months was after a night of drinking so perhaps I was dehydrated so perhaps just a blip and not necessarily indicating fat loss.

I know I'm joining this very late, but this was one of my favorite parts of dieting back in the day so I know it will help me now. Since I'm just getting back into weight loss I'm going to aim for just 2 pounds.

My current priority is to eat more than before - to ensure that I have enough energy for my workouts and indeed for life. A week of being tired, sleeping a lot and having virtually no energy for my workouts has been very persuasive. I have not started counting calories but I have started jotting down little notes about what I eat, to make sure that I am adequately fuelled. Anywhere between 117 and 123 pounds is good for me, so if this means my weight nudges up a little in the other direction, that will be acceptable. I do not want to live life as a zombie. I am resisting full-scale calorie counting, I want to hang on the freedom I've grown accustomed to.

Great stuff again James.
I have stuffed myself this week and will record a no change.
Will shoot for a final goal of 14 lb total loss over the next 2 weeks.

I've eaten more and usually have enough energy for my workouts and activities. I continue to make rough notes about what I eat - weighing certain items in certain situations (in particular any 'dry mix' I assemble for myself from nuts, seeds, dried fruit, oats and muesli gets weighed - all mixed up and just to the nearest gram - multiply by 5 for a very rough estimate of calories so 100g is ~500 calories - on days when I don't "eat out" I am aiming to at least register 150g of 'dry mix' as a minimal boost to my other "unrecorded" eating. Much less of an issue on days when I go out for a Carvery (yesterday's carery included unlimited vegetables and unlimited ice cream!)
Although the current weight I'm posting is well within my target range of 117-123 it does give me a little pause for thought. It is 1lb below my goal - not for the challenge but for 'life'.
