I came up with this recently as a motivator for myself. I am a boredom eater and I wanted to stop some of my cravings and suffering once I've eaten it.
H - Healthy - Find new recipes that are sweet or sour or salty, whatever it might be, but are natural and healthy.
E - Energy - As soon as you eat, are you lethargic? If so, put that food (if it's easily accessible) to where you can't simply reach for it and eat it. Top shelf, back of the cabinet, whatever works.
A - Activity - Boredom eaters like myself crave mostly when bored and needing something to do. I do fun and random things like writing a list of random attributes (colors, shape, size) and seeing what I can find with those attributes. Even if it only lasts 5 minutes, it is enough time to distract your mind from the craving.
R - Reaction - How does your body react to your food choices? Find foods that don't give you a stomach ache and are healthy, and keep those in store for when you do snack.
T - Train - Learning all this isn't an immediate thing. When going to the store, make a list of alternatives to your snack foods and buy only ONE of your splurge food, and put it away for a time when you need a pick-me-up. Keeping only ONE around with put a stop to the constant snaking.
Feel fry to share healthy recipes! I'll share my own soon as well
