Give a movie quote, or answer one. Have fun!
I'll start with an easy one...
"You only think I guessed wrong! That's what's so funny! I switched glasses when your back was turned! Ha ha! You fool! You fell victim to one of the classic blunders - The most famous of which is "never get involved in a land war in Asia" - but only slightly less well-known is this: "Never go against a Sicilian when death is on the line"! Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha! Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha! Ha ha ha..."

Here's another one...
"How's that working out for you?"
-(what?)
"Being clever?"

Thats Great!.."Strange things afoot...." is from one of my favorite movies! I nearly have that movie memorized. That would be "Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure".
Your other one-"don't make me destroy you" sounds very familiar. Hmmm,...I'm not for sure on that one. For some reason I see it as a comedy, said by Will Ferrul or Sean William Scott. I'm going to guess 'Dude, where's my car', but its a long shot guess.

Think 1980 and not a comedy.
As for Bill & Ted, I saw that movie 8 or 9 times in the theater, probably about 50 times on video, and maybe 20 or so on DVD.

Ok Tontus, I'm going to guess CONAN. I can't place the quote, but it sounds like something he'd say.
Bjd74- I thought I'd be a master of this game as thats all I do is watch movies, but I don't know yours either! Is it Tea Leoni that's saying it?

BJD74- I'm not up on westerns at all, not my forte. Maybe someone else will get that one...
Here's one from another of my favorite movies:
"[talking into tape recorder] Nobody... nobody trusts anybody now, and we're all very tired... there's nothing more I can do, just wait... RJ MacReady, helicopter pilot, US outpost #31."

I knew it was Young Guns after I googled it. Since I had to cheat, I didn't want to ruin it for someone else who might have known the answer. As for Star Wars, you are pretty close. It is Vader talking to Luke in Empire.
well, you may tell the Captain that i am disinclined to acquiese to his request
That would be Elizabeth Swann in one of the Pirates of the Caribbean movies. Is that close enough or do I need to try to remember which one?
I don't have a clue on Tours latest quote.
Here's a couple from a movie I just finished last night. They are from the same character.
"My team just saved your life, son. This is the part where you get to say 'thank you."
"When all else fails, we don't."

Nope on the thank you quote. This might be a bit too recent to expect people to know the quote. It just came out on DVD a couple of days ago.
As for the thunder/lightning quote, this is just a pure guess. One of the 78 Harry Potter movies maybe?

Hellrazor, I think we have a lot in common. That is one of my favorite movies!
Big Trouble in Little China.
I nearly have that movie memorized, I have seen it so many times!
(For some reason, I'm not getting my notification emails when there are responses to topics I've posted in, I just saw this one...)

Tontus- I just rented the movie last night that had your quote, and when I heard it I immediately thought of your quote. I cant believe I sat through that entire movie. 3 hours of relentless explosions and effects. Not totally terrible, but not movie quote worthy I wouldn't think..

Good one on the Hitchhiker's..
THere werent' too many famous horror movies in 1980...perhaps Halloween, Alien, or Friday the 13th? The quote isn't ringing a bell.
Here's one for you:
(What is best in life?)
"To crush your enemies, see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentation of their women!"

I've got another one (two quotes from same movie):
"Mom! Dad! It's evil... Don't touch it!"
"I've got an idea...forming in my head."

sounds familiar Hellrazor, but I cant place it.
Here are two of the great scenes in moviedom (2 movies):
- "Everything?... OK! OK! I'll talk!... In third grade, I cheated on my history exam. In fourth grade, I stole my uncle Max's toupee and I glued it on my face when I was Moses in my Hebrew School play. In fifth grade, I knocked my sister Edie down the stairs and I blamed it on the dog... When my mom sent me to the summer camp for fat kids and then they served lunch I got nuts and I pigged out and they kicked me out... But the worst thing I ever done - I mixed a pot of fake puke at home and then I went to this movie theater, hid the puke in my jacket, climbed up to the balcony and then, t-t-then, I made a noise like this: hua-hua-hua-huaaaaaaa - and then I dumped it over the side, all over the people in the audience. And then, this was horrible, all the people started getting sick and throwing up all over each other. I never felt so bad in my entire life."
- "They look like big, good, strong hands, don't they?...I always thought that's what they were. .."

Ha! The Naked Gun is a classic.
If you liked the Naked Gun, then perhaps you've seen this movie...
"CHARACTER #1: Listen to me Hillary. I'm not the first guy who fell in love with a woman that he met at a restaurant who turned out to be the daughter of a kidnapped scientist only to lose her to her childhood lover who she last saw on a deserted island who then turned out fifteen years later to be the leader of the French underground.
HILLARY: I know. It all sounds like some bad movie. "
ANOTHER CHARACTER "If they find out you've seen this, your life will be worth less than a truckload of dead rats in a tampon factory!"

"Mom! Dad! It's evil... Don't touch it!" is from TIME BANDITS.
"Goosed! We're all goosed!" is from VERY BAD THINGS
Next Challenge:
"Even when someone has the strength to discard me, my power is not diminished. Someone always finds me. Very few escape my grasp. Even in death, my powers continue."
