Very good choices! I can't stand the taste of coffee, yet as a kid in a supermarket I'd always go over to the coffee grinder and stick my nose it in.

Anyone else old as me will also remember when our teachers handed out freshly mimeographed papers and we'd all put them up to our noses and take a deep breath! I don't know if we got a high or just enjoyed the smell.

(Anyone growing up after the invention of a Xerox machine won't have a clue.)

BTW, I HATE strong perfume... like when a woman walks into the room and you can't help noticing FROM 10 YARDS AWAY!

Oh yeah - me too!  We had 2 teachers in our building that absolutely reeked of perfume...I would cough and choke for quite awhile after they passed by; they actually left their scent in the halls long after they were gone.  We suspected they overcompensated quite a bit because they would secretly go outside and smoke.

1. Cinnamon rolls baking in the oven
2. My neighbor's lilac bush when it starts blooming
3. bacon

Ok, I have to admit I like Peter's version better. Well, except for the cucumber thing.

Definitely did this!  When my son was much younger, he used to go raid that neighbor's bush for me all the time! Now that he's almost 20, and we have new neighbors, not so much. Rats.  Might have to get my own bush.

What a great topic!  Mine are:

1.  Open prairie on a mild sunny summer day with the clean, sweet, dry air hinting of slightly of clover and long grass

2. Clean laundered sheets my bed after a long day full of fresh air and exercise

3.  A huge bouquet of red magic roses

4.  A really good glass of red wine

5.  Starbucks coffee first thing in the morning

Ha! My roommate is exactly the same. She loves the smell but refuses to drink it. She says she doesn't even need to look to see if I'm awake in the morning, she already knows I'm up when she can smell the coffee wafting through the house, lol. :coffee:

AshIdiot: Vanilla coke! That was one of my favourite drinks EVER. They don't make it here anymore, at least I've never been able to find it in MONTHS  The closest thing is black cherry vanilla now.
