On a few shows in the UK, men have been accused of rape only to be proven innocent e.g. the women had lied before, or evidence showed otherwise, but the men had been plasted in newspapers leading to them being named and shamed and living through immense trauma, such as having bricks thrown through their windows.
The women who lied get no punishment.
Do you think the men's identities should be protected until they're found guilty? Do you think the women should be punished also?
I personally feel the men's identities shouldn't be revealed to the public because vigilantes can take matters into their own hands. Plus, even when the men have been proven innocent, their lives have still been destroyed, e.g. a teacher was accused by his female student (she was angry because he'd told her off in class), and even though he proven innocent, no one revealed who she was, he NEVER got his job back and she never got excluded from the school. I think some people still labelled him as a child molester even after being set free. I think it's disgusting.
I also believe that the women making the false accusations should go to jail; I don't understand why it doesn't count as perverting the course of justice? I was just watching a show where a woman falsely accused her ex boyfriend. He was in jail for nineteen years before his sister proved his innocence. He died six months after leaving jail. Very sad.
Yes, women definetely deserve to be punished as well!!!They are very aware of their own actions, and should be taken to court and jail, on their terms.isnt there a jail for them as well?
