Hello there. Well, same as most people here on this site, I really just want to lose some weight. You know... feeling disgusted with myself and all of that. So I figured this would be a good place to start keeping track of what I eat (or at least where I type it down). So, I'll attempt to write in this every day (not likely), at least to get down my calorie intake and deficit of each day.
And I'm sure I'm not the only person who claims to go on a diet and by the end of the day has managed to squeeze two slices of pizza and a bunch of chocolate chip cookies into their fabulous "diet".
Now, the excercise part (for me, anyway) is the fun part. Turn up the music and I'll do anything from clean the entire house thoroughly, to dancing so much that I'm disgustingly slick with sweat. It's the, uh, 'well I just did all that work, now it's time for my bag of cookies', state of mind I need to get out of. So, maybe forcing myself to admit just how much I'm eating will cause me to stop.
So, now that I've talked your ears off (or... something to that effect, being that this is the interent), I am going to ask that, if you can relate to my insane-ness, or at least feel like giving me some helpful pointers, do go ahead and leave a comment. It would be greatly appreciated, and it would be nice to have some people who are wishing to shed some pounds as well, this way I don't feel as alone.
I know most of that last part sounded selfish, but I promise to anyone who asks that I will return the favor at anytime. I'm really not that annoying if you feel like chatting it up some random time. About anything.
And really now, I'm done. Thanks a bunch to those who actually finished reading all this nonsense.
-Kelly.

Hi joyfullynumb welcome to the forum Im flip
your definatly not the only one to do the oooo 1 slice of pizza wont hurt ooo 1 cookie wont hurt oooo 1 chocolate bar wont hurt diet lol
And if you read some of my other posts i sound very very insane (i think ive actually scared everyone off the teen forum )
i like your way of excercising sounds fun.But i know its hard to get out of a routine of o ive just done some excercise now i can treat myself to somthing, Try treating yourself to a fruit salad bowl or somthing healthier becasue i promise you will feel alot better eating fruit than you would eating biscuits.
If you dont mind me asking what are you goals, obviously to lose weight but how much weight and things like that and (sorry if this sounds cheeky) How old are you?
All my goals and info its on the general board if you wanna read but im not that interesting though,
Post on here anything/anytime you want becasue there is always someone that will give you really really good advice and everybody is really friendly
well thats about it, Have i board you yet

Hi flip, and thanks for the welcome!
And also, thanks for your input. And I actually do enjoy fruit, so I will try my best to make sure that's most of what I eat, rather than chocolate and such.
My goal I haven't put too much thought into. I mean, I'm at 145 disgusting pounds, standing at 5'4''. And I'm 15 years old. I wouldn't mind, someday, getting back at least into the low 120's. Maybe even lower. I do know that part of it, is the hopeless battle of genetics. Every woman in my family is cursed with an apple shaped body. But I also know, that the part I do have control over, the whole eating so many flippin' cookies in one sitting and then not being active all day, that could change. And perhaps balance my shape out a bit more.
There I go again, rambling on. Haha, and no, you didn't bore me in the slightest. And I will go and check out your general info as well. You don't seem un-interesting to me.
Thanks again, though.

wow,What your are typing sounds exactly how i used to be, ate the wrong things and did no excercise,
ive still got a long way to go and sometimes its really hard , like i post on here my problem is even if i eat 1 biscuit i feel so guilty and just want to throw everything in,
but im slowly learning, and with all the brilliant help and advice off people here that having 1 biscuit wont send me back to where i started ,
youve just got to have a goal in your mind and stick to it, and treat yourself a little every now and then to a small piece of your favourite cake or a chocolate bar becasue then you will be less tempted to eat rubbish.
By some of your posts it sounds like we might have somethings in common like our eating habbits so its really good to talk to you :)
And feel free to pm me anytime if you wanna ask me anything or just chat
im sure some others will post on here soon

Hi Joyful!
You sound super-nice We are all super nice here. You sound like me! I definitely do the "Well, I just walked two miles on the treadmill, now I can have a bowl of ice cream" bit. It is so hard to get out of that frame of mind!
We are all behind you 200%!!
I am 5'4 as well, sitting around 140-145 (It's been 140-141, but after today it traveled on back up check out my diary if you care to hear the whole story) I am trying to get to 120...I started at 170 at my highest Can't believe I was ever that heavy.
Do you live here in the states, or over across the ocean somewhere? You don't have to be too specific, just wondering.
Keep us posted! We are here to encourage you!
Oh, and I love talking about random stuff
Flip, you are NOT uninteresting!

Flip, thanks again. It's good to know I'm not the only one who thinks that way. And knowing that I have people to talk to about this makes it just that much easier. And since we have eating habits in common, I know being friends with you will be beneficial to my weight loss journey. And hopefully, I to yours.
Clarinetgirl (I used to play the clarinet!), thanks for the comment, you sound extremely nice as well. And thank you so much for the support. It is so greatly appreciated. Know that I'm supporting you, too. I will go and stop by your diary. I've started one myself, now. That's where I'm keeping track of everything I eat.
Congratulations on the incredible pregress you've made! That's amazing, and honestly, it gives me hope that someday I'll get to my goal. That's awesome.
I do infact live in the states. California specifically. And I'll definately keep you posted. I'm keeping a diary here, as I mentioned before, so I imagine I'll keep most of my preogress/ set backs on there.
Thanks again to both of you. It's great to know I'm not alone. And I hope I can return the feeling of support.
-Kelly.

You all seem really nice! ( <-- Omg, a rubber ducky!!!!) I have to say, keeping track of what you eat helps, a LOT. It's a pain sometimes, but it's worth it in the long run.
Anyway, I'd really like to get to know you guys better. About me.. well, I'm 13 years old, I'm in the 8th grade. I really like swimming, gymnastics, skiing, and snowboarding as sports, but I like junk food a lot too. So luckily, the exercise pretty much balances out the junk food. Also, DDR is AWESOME! I just played it for three hours today, and now my feet are sore! I like playing the guitar, though I'm not very good at it since I've never taken real lessons. My parents make me play other instruments too, and I hate it so fricken much.. I don't watch a lot of TV, but I spend a lot of time online. I like video games sometimes, but only when I can find a good game. I'm not really into the repetitive street fighting type of games. I mean, they're okay for a while, but they get old quick. I'm more into RPGs. I'm not really into makeup and dating and all that kind of stuff yet, even though a lot of my friends are. For now, I just wanna have fun.
So I'm done rambling about myself now! It'd be cool to talk to you all some more, and good luck with everything!

I WANT DDR!!!!!! Ergh! But I don't think i'm going to get it, from something my mom said today. Maybe I can buy it myself later.
Hey, I'm sixteen, and I'm still not into makeup. too much trouble, I think.

I think we're twins or something! I can't be bothered to wake up earlier than 6:30am just to cover my face with something, only to rub it off at the end of the day either.

Really! And then you have to be so careful not to rub your eye, or scratch your face...it's just not worth it.
Besides, when you're the most beautiful person in the world you don't need makeup J/K.

| Lol, I agree. Unless you spend WAAAY too much time doing your makeup, it usually just makes you look fake anyway. DDR is wicked awesome, though. :P I've played it all day for the past three days since I've been too sick to go to school. Which totally makes sense because playing DDR will so help me get better.

Yeah, there are a few girls at my school like that too. They wear really thick black eyeliner and then like... neon or metallic eyeshadow. It makes them look like circus-folk.
