Hi I'm Heavenseventeen (obviously :yum:)

I'll try and post whenever I come on this computer. Usually more than twice a week.

Wow clarinet girl, your boyfriend sounds so nice. I hope I meet someone too . I did like a boy, but he didn't want me back...and now I sit next to his girlfriend in one of my other lessons- argh!

But I'm over it now...I'd still like to have a boyfriend though (hope I don't sound desperate!:dizzy:).

Anyway....

I'm aiming to lose A LOT...70lbs. So far I've lost 20, and I had a six weeks plateau recently , but it's finally gone. Yay!

You all seem really cool! Speak to you later!

Flip--it's going to be okay. What happened? Don't worry, i have been having a lot of days like that...well, not quite 3000 calorie days, but I-know-I-shouldn't-have-done-that-days. I'm afraid it's only going to get worse with so many yummy holidays one right after the other.

We still love you, and no you don't sound silly.

It will be okay. As to what you should do...forget about it. Baby steps. Even if you keep taking two steps forward and then a step back, you still get to your goal.

Promise me you won't obsess over one bad day. I know you can get back on track, no problemo!!

Hi Heavenseventeen,

Welcome!

My boyfriend is nice,. Right now I'm a teensy bit annoyed with him...why won't he hold my hand?...but that will come in time, I'm sure.

I know how you feel, about liking a guy who doesn't like you back. I went through a big thing like that with this guy. We hung out a lot, and we were really good friends, but I liked him more than that; and everyone else said it was obvious he liked me more than just friends. But he kept talking about liking one of my friends. So one day I finally talked to him about it. And he didn't LIKE me like me. It about killed me, i was so upset for so long:crying: But all better now

Well, sounds like you are already doing great! Don't worry, 70 is totally achievable...some people here are trying to lose nearly 200  I started out trying to lose 50, at my highest...about twenty left!

TTYS!

Thanks Clarinet.

To the person who ate over 3000 calories, trust me, it happens to people all the time. Basically bad stuff has to happen. At least now you know for the future. Don't worry, your body won't punish you with putting all the weight back- and even if you do gain a little, it'll probably drop off again quickly. Every now and then you need a treat, otherwise we won't be able to do this for the rest of our lives...and that's what's important.

I hope you're feeling better!

You CAN do this. You WILL do this.

^I haven't done anything this week-end...that's the problem. I should be doing homework...argh!:nono: I decided at the start of this journey I wouldn't track calories. I just eat when I'm hungry, drink water, and exercise so my journey is going to plan. I did want to be "overweight" by this time, but I guess the slower the better...

!Hola, mi amigos,

Today is a beatutiful shiny day in cg-land.

Today---the scale---it said---this morning, when I got up---in pajamas, of course---it said---139.8!! Woohoo, it's my first time to see a 130-anything number!! I am finally at the teeny tip top of a normal BMI.

Heavenseventeen--wow, that's too long. What can we shorten it to?  I don't want to do my homework either...I'm supposed to be studying for the ACT & SAT...ick :nono:

5'9. 180 pounds.

Your unadjusted RMR is 1671 calories. DO NOT GO BELOW THIS NUMBER.

You sedentary RMR is 2172. This is the number you burn in an average day, doing average things, ie breathing, making lunch, sitting around, brushing teeth, etc.

1836 is your sedentary RMR reduced by fifteen percent. This is a good number of cals to eat per day.

So, you should eat somewhere between 1671 and 1836 per day, probly leaning more toward 1800.

Each day you will burn 2172 plus (exercise MINUS # of calories you would have burned just sitting on the couch for the same amount of time).

Does that make any sense at all?

We were under a lockdown at school Friday for an hour and thirty five minutes. I was so scared. I heard they found like three guns, arrested between one or fifteen people (I know, big difference, I have heard both), supposedly there was a bomb threat...it was so scary, I cried.

I am going to break up with my boyfriend Monday. I just don't feel like we click. This is going to be sooooo hard :crying:

I hope everything is okay at school now. It's best they get all those twisted people out so people who wanna learn safely can do so.

Good luck with your boyfriend. If it's not working, it's best to be honest. Remember how we felt when the boys we liked said no- it would have hurt more if they'd lied about their feelings, so it is good that you're being honest.

hey everyone! well i'm here to hopefully be able to keep track of what i eat and stuff! i'm 17 and i want to lose like 20lbs. it would all be so easy if it wasn't for the fact that i have an eating disorder :( i'm a binge eater. it's soo crazy, it consumes my life! i dwell on it day end and day out........ i hate it. BUT i won't give up. thankfully, i'm not extremely overweight or anything and some say i carry my weight well. anyways, i guess tomorrow i'll start posting what all i eat. i look forward to some encouragment and all that stuff and will glady encourage everyone else!!!

:crying::crying::crying:Last night one of our senior band members, and junior who is not in band, were hit by a car. They were practicing their marching for ROTC on the side of the road...or else they were crossing a road to go to a market...the details there are a little fuzzy...but they got hit by a Mustang going 60...and that road is like 45. They were both airlifted to Erlanger, in Chattanooga. He is doing okay, but she is in trauma ICU. She is in bad shape, though a teensy bit better than last night. If (I hate to even say if) but even if she makes it, she is going to have a rough time. Brain matter was coming out her ears...her face, knee and hip were crushed...leg broken...
Please pray for her, her brother, and their family.

Her brain  swelling has gone completely down! She is moving her hands, and she can breathe on her own!!

The next twenty-four, supposedly, will decide it. "They" say there will be a significant change one way or the other.

I thought you'd disappeared.... Good to have you back.

How's the weight loss going?

Slow, as usual. I'm feeling a bit depressed because I've lost only 20lbs in 5 months. Others have lost 40 in that amount of time. I just want to stop comparing myself to others.

 The exercisng?

Great! I'm gonna ask for Turbo jam for this Christmas. It's hard like Tae bo, but the music is much livelier. That's something to be excited about.

School?

Hard. Lots of work to do. Need to get started and do it.

And you?

Hey, I've been posting more than you have, missy!

And...20 pounds in five months! That's good! That's four pounds a month! That's a pound a week! That's even, steady weight loss! You wanna know how much I lost for the month of October? About two pounds! You're doing a whole lot better than me.

Some of those "other people" probably either have more to lose or are losing it the wrong way. Don't beat yourself up.

I've heard great things about Turbo Jam. I should consider asking for it for Xmas too (although I'm afarid Mom would scoff, after how non-diligent I've been with my Tae Bo and pilates DVDs.)

I've really not exercised much lately. Don't know what happened. But I'll get back into it!

So, do you have 50 pounds left to lose now? I have about twenty...

clarinetgurl:music:

It is one pound a week...I looked at my calendar. I beat myself up yesterday over nothing! Urgh! I'm okay...

I didn't realise you did tae bo too! I can't wait to try out turbo jam. It looks so lively, but the intructor seems to smile a bit too much...I might find it annoying or freaky.:dizzy: God- I want it now!!! Argh- at least I'm excited about Christmas again. I didn't give a #%@&! a week ago, but now the joy is back! Tell your mum the reason you've been diligent is because we need to have as many different DVDs as possible to keep us interested, and keep the momentum going. I started to get tired of doing my tae bo tapes until I got cheap other ones from Billy and other instructors, so now I go back it always feels fresh again. I was surprised, but my mum realised this without me even saying it. BUT I think she's surprised that I want to get even more, plus the price (£50), put her off.

It's worth it though... Now I've got 44lbs left to lose until I'm in the healthy range and heading for the middle. Then I'll see what happens. 20! That's great! You're my motivation to get there. One day I'll be able to say the same thing.

PS. Did you decide to stay with your boyfriend or not? You never said. PLUS, how is your school mate who was unconscious after the accident? Is she better now?

Did I never say? My mistake. No, I broke up with him. It was hard to do...but it it wasn't like we were married or anything. He was/is a great guy, but there was no real relationship feeling there...we hadn't grown past friendship in a whole month...it just wasn't working.

The band kiddie who was unconscious is now conscious. She is moving a bit and trying to talk, so, doing a whole lot better

No, the thing is, I had mom buy those DVDs...and I barely used them at all. I reeeallly need to...especially with how many calories they burn!

Hey Flip!

I, personally feel honored that you feel that comfortable with me. Thank you.

Ouch. :horse: Bad horsie!

We kind of have in between sizes. We have regular sizes which are like 8, 10, 12, 14, etc and then there are petite sizes or something like that which are 7, 9, 11, 13, etc.

Got to go, not much time right now

hey, welcome. does freshman mean you're at college/university?? Maybe I should have paid more attention to One Tree Hill and work out what freshman and all that means. Seems like I'm the only teen that doesn't live at home?

they call us 'freshers' in the first week uni, so i guess that comes from the US freshmen.

I am totally with you!

I bring my lunch to school every day. I usually bring an odd jumble of this, like, some blueberries, some raw carrots, and a slice of sourdough bread or something. And my friends, one in particular, will be like, "That's not a real lunch." And I'll be like, "and that stuff you're eating is?" Microwaved pizzas, nachos, uncrustables, popcorn...aka, sodium, carbs, more sodium, sugar...

I don't eat enough veggies, but I eat a lot more now than I did before. I take carrots and cucumbers to school a lot...I have found that I actually like them better without the dressing, now that I've gotten used to it. Try eating them without for a few days...you might like it

Trust me, I am emoticon crazy too!!

How do you cut a cucumber in spears? What's the difference in slices coins and rounds?

Great. We're definitely talking about the best way to slice veggies.

*You know you're a health nut when...*

And of course string cheese is better in strings!! Yeah baby!

ooh, and I found your energy to run! It was cowering under the couch in the corner

Go run! You will feel like a total champion afterwards!

I'm currently trying to avoid oreos...and convince my junkie half that oreos DO NOT make a healthy and fulfilling supper.

I'm losing that battle.

AN IDEA:

Would anyone be interested in a walk/run/something-athon?

Here's what I was thinking: We could pick a week. Sometime during that week, you would walk/run/travel at some speed, a certain distance. Then you would come to a thread designated for the run/walk, and post how long it took you. At the end of the week, whoever had done it the fastest would win!

Win what? Uh...the satisfaction of being that week's winner...

It could be a one time thing...or we could do it like monthly...would anyone else be interested? Or am I a complete loser?

Just out of curiousity...

...if you were to label yourself, put yourself in a clique...where do you think you belong?
