Okay the big "ladies man" problem is done and over with. He's finally started to leave me alone! Now I got another problem. So, their is this guy who is my friend. Don't get me wrong, I think he's nice, I think he's cute...but I don't really want to be in a realtionship right now and from what I've noticed I think he might have a crush on me. I can't date him. We're both in theatre and if we got together, broke up their would always be this weird vibe in the air...no.

Today I'm in a semi-good mood. I have some endorphines running so thats a plus. I'm just really anxious to get my Jack La-Lane Juicer (If thats how you spell it)

So...Jared (my b/f of two whole weeks) patted me on the shoulder this morning. Yay! Maybe one day we'll graduate to hand-holding

Splendid news. Me and this other guy on annual staff did the opening write-up for this year's annual today, and the whole staff really seemed to like it. One guy said it was the best he'd ever heard (course, he only has a couple others to compare it to, but still ) So that made me happy/

I am just starting Animal Farm by George Orwell. It's like, a classic. I'm on the Academic Bowl Team at school, and at tournaments there are often questions about this book, so I decided I should read it.

I have a new reading goal. I am going to read at least one book that I have never read before every week of school. And I'm going to try to make sure a lot of them are classics: The Last of the Mohicans, Don Quixote, Gulliver's Travels, Moby Dick, etc etc.

I've done pretty good today. i saved most of my calories for supper tonight: :pizza::pizza:pizza:pizza::pizza:. I ate too much of it, but it's okay. I don't have any homework, so I'm going to jump on the treadmill and work it off. Plus we had band this afternoon.

Princess, you have insomnia? That must stink. I haven't been getting enougb sleep lately, I'm always tired, but whenever I do go to bed I usually fall asleep pretty quickly.

Okay, over and out!

Hey, I just joined this forum today but I've been using the activity calculator on here for a couple years now.

My name's Kat and I'm 15 going into grade 10. I'm 5'0 and about 119lbs right now. My HW was 125 and my LW was 112 (this summer:grin: but only for a couple days)

I'm on an all star cheerleading team and I asstintant coach(and am on the team) at my school. I also do tumbling so once school starts again I'll be doing about 10 hours a week of practices.

My goals are to get down to like 100-105ish but not like how I've lost weight in the past which was in a really unhealthy temporary way of like fasting for a few days, looking great then eating again and gaining everthing back.

Oh and on a tottally random thing I went jogging today. I really need to just focus on cardio stuff cause i get plenty of strength training at tumbling and cheer

Welcome kitkat!

My mom is the cheer choach at our middle school. (They're not an all star team )

I did the same thing as you: used the activity calculator forever, then finally got on here. Actually, I got on here once, began one post, changed my mind, deleted it, and stuff off for several more months before coming here to stay.

 Sounds like you have a good goal. I'm glad you're going to try to do it the right way this time.

Princess-Yeah, the time change stinks. Sorry  Yeah, relationships tend to be short at that age (I personally wouldn't know because Jared is my first ) But I have seen my friends go through it.

Have a great day everyone!

I wish my realastionships (wow i really can't spell) lasted longer and were more serious but it seems all the guys I like or get together with just want sluttyness.

I'm so not a man hater though I'm a little bit guy crazy:devil:

I've done okay so far today but it's only like 12:30 in the afternoon, I didn't get up til 11 though which isn't good cause school starts in less than a week. I had the urge to not eat this morning cause I felt fat but I know I'd just have lots of junk either later or tommorow then, I ate a bowl of honey bunches of oats with almonds cereal with 1% milk which i know still wasn't the best breakfast cause there is probably tons of #%@&! in the cereal but im too scared to read the label now.

For lunch I think I'll have a baby spinach salad and some salmon but I'll let you all know how that goes in like 4 hours after im done eating it.

I sorta feel like working out right now but am all lazy cause i like just had a  shower and did my makeup and don't feel like ruining it, I'm such a girl sometimes:tongue:

Go for the gold Flipxx!

Kitkat--as I said before, this is the first guy I have been in a relationship with. And I don't consider that mine has been very long---mtwo of my friends are two years into a relationship. I hope this one will last for a while, I think he is a great guy.

Don't they make, like, waterproof make-up? Would that work? (I'm not sure I never wear make-up)

You haven't started school yet?! I hate you.

No, I don't really, but man! We've been in school for three weeks.

Um...I was going to say something else...

Oh yeah! I didn't get home from the football game, playing in the band, til 1230 this morning. A two and a half hour drive, one way. It was fun though. We beat them by like 18 points.

So today I am going tin to work at 2. Must eat lots of fruit; if I do, I think I can reach my catch-up goal fortonight: 143.8.

I'm about to go out in a canoe for the first time!! Should be good exercise too

Yay for your team clarinetgurl!!!

Yup they make waterproof makeup but I wasn't wearing it but i did end up working our anyway:grin:

Today has not been my best, I had three M&M cookies which were very good but made me feel guilty so I did half an hour of the advanced taebo video and burned like 400 calories so pretty much just the cookies.

Got invited to a party tonight but can't go because I'd promised someone I'd babysit for them which sucks cause I like the guy who asked me but we're just friends and he likes someone else and I support him in that cause that's what friends do.

Just gotta make sure I don't have anymore junk today because the house where I babsit is filled with treats:yum:

I wanted M&M cookies sooo bad today! Good for your taebo-ing them off (I have a taebo DVD...but that takes too much coordination for me )

Ooh, have fun babysitting. Sorry about the party :crying: But babysitting's fun. How many kids? How old? Do you play with them? I wish I got to babysit, I have a few times, but no one usually asks me *scratches head* I don't know why not, I love kids.

Hey guys.

Oh man I feel horrible. Okay so I have a stuffy nose. That was bugging me all day. Then my grandparetns game...with cookies and doughnuts. Then they bought icecream treats. Nice. I did pretty well. I didn't binge so much...but I did help myself to some cookies.

So I'm blowing my nose. Then my left ear (the one I always have trouble with. I had surgery on it when I was a kid) started hurting once I blew my nose to hard...stupid ear.

On the plus side I'm sick. And when I'm sick I don't eat as much. But in the meantime I have a snuffy nose and one #%@&! ear.

There are two kids, 1.5 and 2.5 (didnt feel like writing out and a half but just did neways..) They are pretty sweet but obviously at that age sometimes bratty. One boy (older) and one girl.

OMG tonight though was kindda freaky cause after they were in bed the power went out for like a minutes then came back on and I was so lucky to find a flashlight cause then it went out again til they came home and it was freaky cause the house is in the middle of nowhere (well like a 5 minute drive from a SMALL town) 15 minutes from town

Aww, I'm so sorry Atta. I have been sick like that all week...well, except for the ear. I hope you feel better soon :crying:

YAY sunshiinee's back! How are you doing, weight loss and healthy-ness wise? Oh, I had a question for you. I noticed where you had posted in toher places, and you had a different goal in every one! Sometimes 140, 130, 125, 120...so, what is your true goal, your ultimate goal? If I may ask...I'm really good, thanks for asking. I am finally not feeling sick anymore

Kitkat--aww, how cute. That's the age of my little second cousin that I spent about a week with this summer. He's 2 and a half, and his older sister was 5 and a half. We had a good time, but they got bratty too, you're right

Oh the power going out! Yikes! That happened once when I was being baby-sat. I was probably...somewhere between 6 and 8. But me and my little brother weren't in bed yet. We completely freaked out. We talked our babysitter into talking her mom to come over.

Just as her mom got there, OUR parents got back, AND the power came back on...:dizzy:

Aaahhhh! Jared and I are going to a state park today! yay! Picnic...with his whole family, but that's fine with me.

The scal proclaimed 144 last night! I was supposed to 144.8! Wahoo! I though it was 143.8, but i was mistaken.

Okay, time for breakfast,

LOL!

Clarinet was my second chocie if I couldn't play flute too...

...and man, I definitely COULD NOT play flute.

Where I started in middle school, they tested you on instruments, and gave you a rating of one ten. You didn't HAVE to pick the instrument you did best on, but they encouraged it.

I got a 1 on flute, and an eight on clarinet. It was pretty much a no brainer to me : duh! Pick the one you can play!

I got...a 1 on percussion, a six on french horn...I think that may be all they had us try.

Band is going really well. We are playing really fun music this year (Our first tune has bits of Soul Man, Can't Turn You Loose, Messin' With the Kid, and Sweet Home Chicago, the second tune is Minnie the Moocher, and the last is Shout and Jailhouse Rock).

It's sounding pretty good....one girl in my section...poor thing. She can't play, she can't march...I don't know why she's even in band.

There aren't really any prerequisites for being in band at my school, since we're so small. I mean, you already have to know how to play the instrument...but you don't have to try out or anything. But I really wish our director would kick her out, she pretty horrible.

(I know that sounds awful, but it's just a fact. She can't play any of the songs we have at all...she knows about five notes. And she never marches in step.)

I wanted to learn to play piano at one time...but then I never did. *shrug*

You don't need to be 85 pounds. That is in no way shape or from healthy. I calculated your BMI. Your BMI is 19.3. Normal weight is 18.5-24.9. Underweight is anything under 18.5. If you were 85 pounds you would be at a BMI of 16.6 which is underweight. If you're at a BMI of 19.3 you should be doing backflips. True you may want to loose weight and look skinny. We all do. But it's not about being skinny its about being healthy.

Actually, if you got down to 90 pounds that would be 17.6. Nope. That's underweight. The lowest you can go is 95 pounds.

Yeah, I was gald they tested us too. Of course, it's always possible that once I started working with the flute, i might have done better...but I really love the clarinet.

Yes, it is marching band. From the beginning of school until Christmas break, we have marching band. We play and do our routine at the halftime of each football game, on Fridays. And we practice a bunch. Then, once we come back from break for second semester, we have concert band for the rest of the year.

Yes, I think we are starting our third week of school. Or maybe fourth...

Let me know what music you get!

Things aint going that well really, well i dont no really,  for the past couple of days ive started not eating anything through the day till around 6:00pm and eating alot of carbohydrates and fatty surgary foods:pizza: at night. not on purpose  though, eating in the morning has started making me feel ill again so i dont have breakfast and then im busy through out the day.  Its true that healthy eating does make you feel better when i was healthy eating i never felt ill or sick eating my breakfast, but the motivation that i had before has gone, like when i wrote that message on friday saying i was going to start again i was like yep im gonna do it properly this time, but then at the night i had like a handful of chips and thought o whats the point,it gets me down so much sometimes i lost 7 pounds well i was "motivated" and i think ive put about 5 of them back on, listening to all your post u can have a sugary snack and think o well ill burn that of or thats all right it was only a little bit but even if i have 1 biscuit i think o my god what have i eaten and i think ive failed, ive got no willpower at all sorry this is such along post and sorry if you got bored half way through but i had to get this all of my chest i just dont know what to do

Oh Flip, I'm so sorry.

You have got to eat breakfast. What do you mean it makes you feel sick? Headache? Stomache? I used to NEVER eat breakfast, but now I make it a point to eat SOMETHING every morning. I feel like I snack less if I eat better in the morning, even if i am not hungry.

Maybe it isn't the eating, but what you're eating. Do you do cereal, or doughnuts, or toast, or? Maybe you should try something else for breakfast:question:

You say you have lost your motivation. What was your motivation? Why are you trying to lose weight? What are you working for?

To look good for a certain event? To be healthier? To be able to fit into smaller clothes? Just to look fitter? To keep your New Year's resolution?

What are your goals? Such as, lose so many pounds by a certain date, be able to run so far in so long, get to a certain size clothes, be able to compete in an athletic event...

You CANNOT beat yourself up over a mini failure. Do you hear me? I forbid it:smile: You can't even think of it as failing. Don't be depressed, please? One biscuit is not going to kill you or your healthy weight loss plan, but falling in the dumps after you eat it and putting down a half gallon of ice cream and a bag of chips will.

That's how I failed the first few times I tried to lose weight. I would give in and eat a piece of cake and think, "Well, I just ruined it. Oh well, might as well enjoy myself now. I'll try again next year."

This week, will try something? Will you eat something for breakfast, and then a healthy, filling lunch and supper. If you want a snack, try fruit?

See if it works.

I know what you mean about willpower. You wanna hear my day yesterday?

BREAKFAST: two cinnamon rolls with butter and sugary icing stuff

1st LUNCH (with my family): a big tortilla with chicken, peppers, and onions, and then lettuce, tomato, salsa, and sour cream on top, and then TONS of tortia chips with salsa and cheese dip

2nd LUNCH (with my b/f): a sandwich with turkey, lettuce, mayo, some regular soda, and two chocolate chip cookies

SUPPER: a hot fudge sundae from McDonald's

So, you see how my day went. Now I had decided before hand to have somewhat of a cheat day (I did so good last week, I felt like I deserved it ) But I went overboard on it. I was having a good time, and i decided to keep on having one.

But today I know I have to get back on track.

Something my preacher said at church yesterday: You can't live in the past, and you can't live in the future.

It applies to weight loss/living healthy too. You can't say, "Well, I ate bad yesterday, soo..." NO! Forget yesterday! And you can't say, "Well, I know I'm going to be able to eat healthy tomorrow, soo..." NO! You have to think about only what is going on TODAY. Can you eat healthy TODAY? Can you exercise TODAY? Have you had any junk food TODAY?

Okay, so now my post was porbably twice as long as yours and you don't have to feel bad anymore  Flip, we all want each other to succeed. This is what this forum is here for, we are here to chat and support each other.

Post here or pm me and lket me know how its going.

NEVER GIVE UP!!

Sunshiinee said:

wow princess you wanna get down to 85 POUNDS?? that's wayyyy too little in my opinion! how tall are you? and how much do you weigh right now?

Princess said:

Im 5'0 and i my weight is 99 pounds

Atta said:

You don't need to be 85 pounds. That is in no way shape or from healthy. I calculated your BMI. Your BMI is 19.3. Normal weight is 18.5-24.9. Underweight is anything under 18.5. If you were 85 pounds you would be at a BMI of 16.6 which is underweight. If you're at a BMI of 19.3 you should be doing backflips. True you may want to loose weight and look skinny. We all do. But it's not about being skinny its about being healthy.

Princess said:

I had know idea that would make my bmi so low thankx for that info maybe i'll try 90 pounds but i cant stay as i am because it just dosent feel right

I always think that short people (me) look better skinny than normal

Haniganda said:

correct...

Atta said:

Actually, if you got down to 90 pounds that would be 17.6. Nope. That's underweight. The lowest you can go is 95 pounds.

Okay, sorry, just had to get that whole thing down.

Okay, Princess, Atta is right. When I saw you had posted 85 this morning , I was very worried.

Ove in the eating disorders thread, and here, you mentioned you have anorexia. I can't imagine how difficult that must be. So, how are you doing with that? Have you got it under control? Do your parents know? Have you talked to a specialist or anything? (not trying to make you feel uncomfortable...just worried about you :heart:)

So, Atta explained that 85 pounds would be unhealthy for you. But personally, I think even where you are now is a teeny bit unhealthy. I don't think you need to lose any weight at all. So, do you think maybe you still have a skewed vision of your appearance, and that really you are more slnder than you think you are.

I know what you mean about short people needing to weigh a bit less. I have always thought, Man, if I could be a couple inches taller, my weight would be fine  But I don't see anything wrong with normal. Even the littlest bit of overweight-ness is more noticeable in short people...but really, I don't think you need to lose any weight.

Perhaps you could tone. You know, do weights, pilates, sit-ups...not lose weight, merely firm and sculpt.

Please talk to us more about this. I don't want you to be underweight, and I'm sure you don't, too

Haniganda? Would you like to introduce yourself? Lol, that post was kinda random, as i have no clue who you are  (Although i noticed you posted in my diary...thanks). Um, i assume you're a teen, right? Are you trying to lose weight, or just...be healthy, or...like, do you wanna post your goals or tell us something about yourself?

Do you live in the states, or Canada, or the UK, or...

Talk to everyone soon!

Hey guys! I couldn't find the thread at first.

Well tonight I'm doing dance tryouts! You don't have to be able to dance really well though. I do have atleast some experience under my belt atleast.

Also the BFJ (I'm calling that "ladies man" the BFJ from now on. Stands for Big Fat Jerk) will be at the dance tryouts. Great. Fortunately I know a couple of girls who I'll just stand next to and talk to.

Wish me luck!

Good luck Atta!

Okay, I'm taking a poll. Do you guys want to A) creat a different thread for all different topics (ie scholl, weight loss, family, etc) or B) just keep it all in general dicussion for now?

Please place your ballots in the large box behind the curtain...

or, um, you could just post your preference, por favor?

That's what I think too.

Separate threads-2

One thread-0

We need votes from Atta, Flip, sunshiinee, and kitkat...

Separate threads: 3

one thread: 0

Flip, sunshiinee, kitkat?

If one more votes separate, that will be a majority.

Peter said that if someone wants to start a thread, they should...and we shouldn't just start them when we don't have anything to say yet.

So let's go with that.

When you have something to say about school...start a school thread.

A new big project in your hobby? Start a hobby/extra curricular activity thread.

Family driving you nuts? Start a family thread.

Like Atta started the lunch one.

Sound good to everyone?

clarinetgurl:music:

Of course, this can always be a miscellaneous thread...
