Hi everybody,
I just need to know a few things about the ab wheels so please put your views.
I just have heard enough about the ab wheel in the Telivision as well as in the internet.
Many suggest that it is the ultimate ab sclupting device and it helps in loosing th belly fat quickly.I also found a lot of possitive reviews in the net where people has claimed that they have lost around 10-15lbs in one month using the ab wheel.I bought one today and will start using it from tommorow.
So I just need to know that all that is said about ab wheel is true?Does it really help to reduce the belly fat?or is it just a #%@&!?
please reply..................

please read Why Exercise Is Important for Weight Loss and then Spot Reducing
the short answer is: no device or exercise can help you lose fat at a specific part of your body, and there are better exercises for fat loss than abdominal ones.
For example, Scott Colby just finished giving a 10-part seminar series on just this topic, maybe you can still catch (listen) to the last call at amazingabsformula.com/call.html

Thanx for your replies Nir.I am 22, my height:5 ft 8 inches and weight:198 lbs.My work out routine consists of 20 minutes jumping rope,20 minutes yoga and then 3 sets of ab wheel where every set is of 10 repititions.I have cut down the fats from my diet and basically my diet is full of vegetables and fruits along with a little carbohydrate.
Now what i actually fear is weather the ab wheel excercise will result in gaining more weight.

Hi drubo! I don't know anything about the "ab wheel" other than the one infomercial what I've seen - but here's my 2 cents anyway :
1) I wouldn't worry about whether your ab wheel is going to cause you to gain weight - weight gain basically comes down to eating more calories than you burn off over a consistent period of time. If you're thinking about weight gain in terms of gaining muscle - that can happen under certain conditions while dieting (and it's a good thing)but the combination of your specific diet (limited protein) and exercise routine, including the ab wheel, is not really geared toward that happening to any significant degree.
2) Fruits and veggies are carbs just like bread and pasta are carbs - just sayin' ...actually my point is that weight loss primarily comes down to taking in fewer calories than you need to maintain your weight over a consistent period of time - there's not any long term fat loss benefit (other than the fact that the typical piece of fruit or veggie has less calories than a serving of noodles) to "cutting out carbs"
3) cutting down on the saturated fats (mostly the type of fat in animal fat such as meat/dairy) is always a good idea for health reasons, plus fat has more calories than protein or carbs - but remember that you do need a balance of healthy fats in your diet (think plant based fats such as in avocados, nuts, seeds, olives, etc.)
You might want to check out "Why Healthy Foods Make You Slim" in the tutorial. Good luck with your weight loss plans and I hope you keep us posted on how the ab wheel works out for you

| Hey, exercise is exercise and I say if you are doing anything it will help you build muscle and lose weight. The more muscle you have in your body the more calories you will burn, so do it how ever it works for you as long as you do it! You go girl! I was just looking at one of those, let me know how it works for you. My problem area is my abs and my stomach, I walked a lot off but this area never seems to go down.

| dhrubo, hey, I have one of those things sitting in the closet gathering dust. I was watching a video on YouTube and that looks like a heck of a workout. I am going to dust off my Ab Wheel and start using it again. I do regular and Hindu Pushups along with Hindu Squats every morning and night so adding this can't hurt..
