Hi my name is Tanya, and I just join these forums. I have started the FL4I diet today. I have been using our Wii sports software, and Wii fit, for about a month or so. Awesome, fun exercise. I actually look foward to doing exercise everyday!!!!
Highly recommended! I love the fact that almost all the Wii games get you up off your couch potato butt, and get moving. You don't think of it as exercise.

I can't speak about Fit yet (hasn't arrived off of ebay yet), but I did pick up Active yesterday. It kicked my butt on the low intensity setting last night. I started the 30 day challenge and it was only about 20 minutes, but I was completly soaked in sweat and I'm walking funny today because of those dang squats and lunges.
In all fairness, I've never really done any real exercises so if you are used to working out, it might not have the same results. Also, the resistance band doesn't provide much resistance. Anyway, my initial reaction is that it will be well worth the price ($59).

We just got the wii and wii fit plus on monday. I can say even if you do work out this will make you sweat. I'm finding some of the workouts are hard on my knee right now but I do enjoy them

I just got a Wii and Wii fit plus for Christmas. Here I am a 58 year old grandma getting a game system. Anyway I am really enjoying the exercises in Wii fit pllus. Actually I feel I get a pretty good workout doing the tennis game in wii sports. I really enjoyed the games where you are riding a segway and having to steer it with your core movements. Great for balance which is a biggie for me. I'm headed to bestbuy. They have all their games that use the balance board on special. They even have the EA sports for $39 that is usually $59. Probably a new years/get in shape thing.
BTW does anyone know how much weight the DDR game pads can handle?

I just googled it and came up with this.
"DDR Dance mat’s have no weight limit at all so even if you weighed 500 pounds you won’t be left out."
It looks like an independent review, and not from an official source, so don't me accountable if it is wrong.
Also, when you mention EA Sports, are you talking about Active? I highly recommend Active if you are looking to sweat buckets. Actually, I'd go with the sequel Active - More Exercises. It doesn't come with the resistance band or leg strap though, but they are available as a separate purchase.

Hi Tontus,
Yep I got the ea active AND the ea active MORE exercise. I also got the Jillian Michaels game. I think I have totally blown my game budget out BUT the sport was only $39 and the Jillian was only $19. Can't wait to try them out. The only way I can justify getting the Wii system is if I use it to supplement my exercise routines which up until a week ago were non existent. I do have goals though.

I tried out my new Wii active game today. That really kicks butt! They provide a velcro strap that straps around your upper leg and holds the remote so they can track your leg movements. I liked the kick boxing portion especially. They distract you with these fun little games so you don't realize that you are exercising. I love that!
I haven't really exercised in almost a year so to me it was a workout. I actually sat and watched some parts of the game, but next time I will do better. At least I did something!
I'm loving the Wii. My 6 year old grandson things I'm the "cool" grandma too because I have a Wii. I should have gotten this thing 2 years ago!
