I just had my first child last year and have gained significant weight. My sister gave me her dvd's, because she no longer uses them. I am a bridesmaid in 2 weddings this summer and am going to Noah's Ark. I am hoping to atleast be back down to the weight I was before I got pregnant. That means losing atleast 40 pounds. I was told that if I burn atleast an extra 500 calories more than I eat, I lose 1 pound a week. I am not sure if that true. Since it is winter and I have a full-time job and baby I have limited time to exercise. I am hoping to do atleast 1 video a day. Anyway, does anyone know how many calories are burned using one of these dvd's?
Tae Bo:
Total Body Fat Blaster
Fat Blasting Cardio
Basic Training Boot camp
Utimate Boot camp
Prevention:
Belly, Butt, and Thighs
3 - 2 - 1 Workout
Debbie Siebers Slim in 6:
Tear it Up ( Total Body Blast )
Mit it Up ( Variety Pack )
Shape it Up ( Opposing Muscle Groups )
Slim in 6 ( 6 weeks )
Keep it UP ( week 7 & up )

The amount of calories you can burn in any of these DVDs depends on your current weight and other specifics. Try the activity calculator on this site and use the AEROBICS - GENERAL activity to get a good estimate.

Several forum members on this site (but not me) have a heart rate monitor that estimates calories burned, if you wear it while you workout. When I asked around about these, they seemed to be consistent with the numbers you get on the activity calculator on this site.
