wow, good job on the weight loss... really good job.   my mom did that walk away the pounds thing for a while.. and wanted me to do it with her (didnt want to be the only one looking odd marching in place for 45 min. haha) ... i dont know how you do it - cause i get bored as all #%@&! doing those tapes - it can be mid winter and i'd opt for outdoor walking instead of listening to leslie sansone!  ...and thats when i discovered cycling.. sweeeet.... keep up the good work

I started exercising on a high school track and got bored to death running in circles. Then I fell in love with running on the streets. But that was in So CA.

Now I live in the Northwest and it rains all the time or gets icy! So I'm turned to a treadmill (better on my old knees :crying: too) and whatever on TV.

Whatever works!

:)I have many of these DVDs and I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE them. :) They have easy moves, not too much coordination is needed.  I like that their are different miles to do.  I really like the 4 mile and the 2 mile walk and jog!!!  For added intensity I sometimes wear ankle weights and moved my arms when she is not.  They really do give you a good workout.  They are for people of all fitness levels.  If someone if thinking, "what are you talking about, how could you like walking in place in your living room???"  I would say that she does other moves, and it is fun!  You should try it!!!

I have read alot about these tapes, and I have been really tempted to try them.  I just haven't done it yet.

Has anyone ever done these with kids?  I have a five year old that I would love to be able to do some workouts with, so that we both enjoy and benefit from them.  Plus, I know he would love them being my little athlete and all, and I know that he would push (whine?) until we did them together a few times a week.  Any suggestions?

I love these tapes too! There are a few women here where I work that got me interested in them and yes at times Leslie can get annoying LOL but I've found that when I got to a point where I could memorize the tape I just turned the volume down.

I have also used Windsor Pilates but its too much talking for me...

:) i would say that yes, you can do these with children. they seem easy enough that even a 5 year old could handle it.

i haven't done them in a while, but i am going to start back up again. i was running but the weather here in upstate NY is getting bad and i have to find something i can do for the winter.
