love this show.  Their approach is somewhat controversial, but for some of these contestants, a slow and steady approach just won't suffice!  At the end of the day its calories in vs calories out.  Just crazy how many calories out these people are forced to do!

Just saw the show...

I don't know why they are making such a 'big secret' about who the trainers are? What difference does it make? They are trying to build up a suspense that doesn't exist. Having said that, it was probably a tough choice for them as to which trainers to go for. Let's face it, 4 weeks of immunity is worth its weight in gold on that show. But then, you can't deny the results of Bob & Jillian. 1/3rd of the people signed up with B & J are going home in the first 4 weeks, thats not great odds. However, I have a small thing for Jillian so I would have gone with her for sure ;)

I wish the contestants on the Biggest Loser were'nt so big. I think they are too big to relate to. Granted there are people who fit their profiles of obesity, but I think the majority of the people watching the show are probably in the 40-100 lbs overweight range (if I had to guess). Maybe they could implement some short season shows for people who only have to lose 50 lbs or so?

The guy that is 507 lbs and only 5'8" tall has his work cut out for him. Apparently he is already down over 150 lbs from his heaviest. Geezuz! that is incredible. I guess 660 lbs was his barrier, or rock bottom if you will. Thank God my rock bottom was 243...

Overall, I don't see this show's entrants to be flowing with character and personality. So far, the contestants aren't that likeable. I still think the season that Ali Vincent won was the best season by a long shot. Ali was more than likeable.

I agree that they were too big to be relevant to most overweight people.  And I had an eye rolling moment when one of the father/son teams came out to weigh and Bob said this is the "typical American family" :dizzy:.  I could just imagine millions of people in their living rooms saying "No it isn't!" in unison at that moment.  We're not quite that bad as a whole yet, Bob....

And it was sad to me that 1 person had to leave because she only lost 9 pounds in 1 week!  That just means she didn't have as much freakin' salt in her body as the rest of them.  Too bad for her.  She should have eaten a whole bag of tortilla chips the night before and she'd have been better off.

Anyone else have any thoughts about the show?

Yea it was just too typical wasn't it. This is not a good reflection of the typical American family. These are the extremes.

Hey, did any of you guys see that Ali, season winner from a couple of years ago has her own show starting on cable?  Looks like it might be pretty good.

I love watching The Biggest Loser show also.  The contestants are inspiring.  It motivates me to keep going.

Patchers, don't you hate it when somebody joins CPH and only posts once?

I'd like the name of that show too!

I just googled it Sassykat and came up with this info

http://www.ontheredcarpet.com/Ali-Vincent-from-The-Biggest-Loser-gets-TV-show/8317121

It is on a channel we don't get though.

I was sorry to see Sunny leave last night, I was hoping it would be John.

Thanks Patchers!  Hmmnn, I don't know if we get that channel.  I'll have to go search.  If it's a new channel, then we probably don't get it.  We have had the same pkg of channels with Directv since... forever, like 10 years or something. LOL.

Yeah Sunny seems really sweet.  I don't know what to think of John.  It would have been nice to see both girls get a chance in the final four.

I'm still trying to get use to the new trainers.
