Cyrenadawn:
I know you will love Turbo Jam! My older son's girlfriend (who is 21) is trying to get in shape and is doing Weight Watchers now and my son bought her "Hip Hop Abs" to be supportive of her. Well she thought it was okay but when I gave her my Cardio Party 2 (too dancey for me - I enjoy Cardio Party 1 better) she absolutely LOVED IT! She told me that she wished he had bought her Turbo Jam instead. So when I get the Maximum Results package for Mother's Day - I have to give my husband some really big hints - and then I'll let her watch it to see how she likes that one.
I am really looking forward to getting new workout DVD's. Even though I REALLY LOVE the original package, I am getting a little bored with it and am excited to learn some new routines and I can hardly wait to hear what new music Chalene has on this series.
Scoobees:
Thank you for your opinion of Turbo Jam Maximum Results - I was hoping to hear from someone who is using it. Congratulations on your weight loss too. I just love shopping now and have to stop myself from squealing in the dressing room when I put on those size 8's!!!!
Don't feel bad about talking about Turbo Jam . . . we know it works . . . we know it's fun so it is our responsibility to share it with those we love and those we just like! Keep jamming!!!!

Cyrenadawn - hi and congrats on your decision to make a life change! Turbo Jam is awesome, I absolutely know I wouldn't have made it this far without it. If one can find something that is fun AND effective - what a double bonus! After all this time, I still look forward to Turbo Jamming. I do other things also...but the best days are the days I JAM!!! I can't wait till you check out your Max Results package - you won't be disappointed!!! Hope you visit again soon!
Cathy S - Thanks, and I can totally relate to stiffling the squeals in the dressing room! I never thought I'd be buying size 8s...and here I am thinking of 6s now! My losses have slowed quite a bit lately, so I'm taking a month off to just maintain my weight - in case my metabolism has slowed a bit. I'm still exercising, but increasing my calories. Then on to the size 6s - wooohooooooooo!!!
By the way, I also do Hip Hop Abs. I did not like the basic set very much, BUT I also ordered the Level 2 dvds and they are awesome! Much more intense and fun. But, nothing beats Turbo Jam in my opinion LOL. It's just nice to have options.
Keep Jamming All!

Just wanted to check in and say hello. I've been experimenting with other exercise programs over the past few months, and my weightloss has hit a plateau...so I decided to start the 30 day "Advanced Rip You Up" Turbo Jam Rotation. I started this once before (last fall), but only lasted a week. I leave for Florida for a month with my family on June 26th...so this will keep me motivated to complete the rotation this time! Wish me luck! Has anyone completed the Advanced rotation before, and if so, what kind of results did you experience? I have lost 50 pounds so far with 25 left to go. I'm so excited to reach my goal weight! If anyone is interested in doing the Advanced Rotation with me, let me know, and I can post the rotation if you need it. I'm thinking it has already been posted somewhere in this thread, but I can post it again. Hope all is well...and keep pushing play!

Hi everyone!!! Im Little Kiwi from New Zealand and Ive just spent the best part of an hour reading all of your posts, phew!! Im a SAHM of two pre schoolers, and TIRED of looking frumpy! I just want to wake up in the morning and throw clothes on, you know? I spend aggges in front of the mirror and still dont feel nice in what Im wearing.
So....by Christmas I want to be in shorts and a T shirt. No more covering up, and no more hours in front of the mirror = more time spent with the kids and my lovley hubbie.
Ive ordered TJ and am waiting for it to arrive, which HOPEFULLY should be in a couple of days. I belong to the gym too, so I'll do a bit of that also. Must write up a plan of some sort, including eating!!
I will come back here each day and use this for accountability (sp?)
Nice to 'meet' you all and will see you as soon as they arrive!!

Hi all
Well my parcel arrived this morning, yay!! I did the 20min one just to see what it was like, and it was GREAT! Time went so fast and I love the way I can see how long I have to go on the screen, what a GREAT idea!
My eating was fantastic yesterday and hopefully it should be today too. Muslie and blueberries for brekkie, protein shake for morning tea, omlette for lunch and tuna, beans, carrots and brocolli for dinner.
Where is everyone????? Come back!!

Wow! These forums are definitely the place I need to be!
I used to go to a different weightloss forums when I was doing TJ before and no one had any idea what it was, but so glad that this place seems to have a good amount of people that are doing it!
Really great to hear that people have gotten, are getting, great results from doing it! It really does help reading that when you're about to go and start the workouts back up ya know?

Wow! Turbo Jam sounds really good! I just went to their site, and read about the Turbo Jam Maximum results. 1000 calories per hour!
Just wondering... Is ordering online from their site safe? I've never ordered anything online before.

It's safe.....I am a Beachbody coach and I can help you get a 10% disc......Let me know if you are interested.
Ninah
P.S. that 1000 cal an hour is a little confusing.....that's the rate for some people during the turbo. It generally avereges about 400-700 per hour depending on effort for women during the course of the full workout

I think I burn about 550 calories in 40 minutes doing cardio party 1 at quite high intensity . Everytime I finish doing it I feel thinner (even if I'm actually not) so I end up feeling much better about myself all day. I find I sit straighter and my fitness has really improved even over just a couple of weeks. Try recording your resting heartrate now and then in 2 weeks after turboing for that time. It's great to feel healthier!

I Just ordered the Turbo Set, I'm a 24 Year old new mom of a beautiful 5 month old daughter. I had a C-Section and have had a good amount of trouble with builing my strength back up and staying motivated. During the pregnancy i put on a LARGE amount of weight and only lost 30 of it... I'm currently at 177lbs at 5'3 and quite miserable about that! I put on a bit of weight before prego but still at LEAST 45lbs above my goal weight dieting is not an option as i'm currently breastfeeding so I'm hoping that this will help witht he weight loss!

Hi MegFar83,
I meant to respond to your post earlier! I'm in a somewhat similar situation. Only trying to lose the last 5-10 pregnancy pounds... but while breastfeeding (my son is 7 months). I've been shooting for regular exercise (TurboJam or jogging/walking) and VERY modest calorie deficit. At the very least, I still track what I eat to make sure I'm not going way over my "maintenance" calories. The weight is coming off slowly.
I'd love to hear about your progress!

Hi everyone,
After reading posts in this forum I decided to buy TJ. I was rather excited when I purchased after all the excitement here so I ended up with a couple of upgrades too. Ah compulsive purchasing + effective sales compaigns.. will get you every time.
I've done a lot of running in the past and never got my body to my goal, it always seems illusive. I had some injuries and stopped exercising for a couple of years except for Yoga, which I just made peace with the idea of not really getting there I guess...
Recently I started exercising again as we have a gym at work and I've been doing ok with the cardio but when it comes to resistance and/or weights I'm finding it hard to be creative. So seeing TJ, I thought it would be a great way to spend my lunch breaks!
I'm 5"2 and hoping to lose 7kg (15.5 lbs) and tone up generally. I'm a vegan so I doubt I'll follow the eating plan but I'll see when it turns up. I'm looking forward to my big box arriving in the mail.
Thanks for listening...

I am new to this place. I have been trying to decide weather or not to buy turbo jam. I am 23 and i need to lose at least 50 lbs. I gained 50 with my daughter 2 years ago but unfortunately i cant start it for 3 more months. That is because i am pregnant with my 2nd child. But when she is born i want to lose all my baby weight. my problem is i have trouble staying motivated. i have tried many different workouts and can not stay motivated. Any advice?

Hi, I just got my first TJ video. It has the 5 workouts on it. (Learn&Burn, 20 Min, Turbo Scuplt, Cardio Party and Ab Jam)
I am going to do Learn and burn today, but does anyone have a good rotation schedule?
Also, how do I find out how many calories I'm burning?
Thanks!

alright so I did the 10 days 10 inches challenge and well stupid me realized after the fact that there is a certain diet you are suppose to follow, but just so you all know I still lost inches in the 10 days I lost 6 inches in total without doing the special diet in the 10 days so not too bad if i do say so.
But I now have the diet and so I am going to do it again and see what happens and I will let you all know if the diet makes a difference or not.
In any case I think these videos are soooo worth it and lots of fun to do I am not even close to sick of them yet and I get sick of things real easy although I have found that I am adding wrist and ankle weights now cause I am getting a little to use to it and want to add some resistance to make it a little harder again.

| You all have totally got me pumped about spending the $141 for the entire Turbo Jam deal. I ordered Monday so I'm hoping it will be here by next Monday (they said 5 - 7 business days). I got all the videos, the meal plan, a resistance band, boxing glove things, etc. Basically the only thing I didn't buy was the supplements. I can't wait to get it now!!

I just recently received my Turbo Jam in the mail today and I can not wait to go home and try it out. Unfortunately, I am at work reading all of you alls post and I have got to say, "YA'LL GOT ME SO PUMPED UP RIGHT IT IS DRIVING ME NUTS." I have been keeping track of it everyday through UPS and have been waiting and getting excitied everyday that I have seen it moved to a new location. I called my sister at home around 12:30pm to see if it had arrived and she said it didn't, so I called UPS to ask if it had really came through and the gentlemen told me that it is out being delivered at the moment. Well, my brother called me at 2:40pm and said that it is here and I am so excitied and I really can not wait to go try it. I was 130 lbs. last year and I now I am 155lbs., okay so I am not bad off but I feel horrible and I feel lazy, I have never felt that way before from when I use to work out but by being in college and working a full time job the food can run up against you and attack. So I am trying to get down back to 130lbs and maybe even 5 more (125), which would not be bad at all because I am only 5'2 ins. tall.
I love work out DVD's but since I have been reading the reviews on it today I am really pumped up. Excuse me for asking but is Shaun T's "Rockin Body" videos any fun, cause I am thinking about getting it just for fun cause I love to dance.
Wish me luck everybody and thank you for being kind enough to put your reviews up, it really motivates people into getting up and actually doing something about their weight, cause ya'll really got me going.

OMG, Turbo Jam is the bomb. I tired the Learn and Burn last night and just from doing the workout at a slow pace (because she teaches you the moves on this disk) felt like I had did something, not only that but I was sweating from it. After she teaches you the how to do the moves properly she then starts a work out and to say that workout was not that long at all you can actually feel like your body is starting to make a change, but even though you do the work out it is really important that you start to eat healthy, because I did and let me tell you, IT MAKES A BIG DIFFERENCE, it really does. I purchased the Elite 11 package with it and man you get so much stuff and just looking at everything you get makes you excited. For who ever is hesitanting about this program, I am here to tell you that it is just that fun that you actually forget that you are working out. You get into the music so easily and you get pumped so fast, because your looking at the people that is workiing out with Chalene and they look exciting, in which they are suppose to and the great thing about the instructor is that she is so cool, at the end of the Learn & Burn session you go behind the scenes and she tells you what type of person she is and what her life is like, also on the Cardio Party Mix 1 (I worked out off of that this morning at 5:00am) after the session she plays tricks on her cast and at the end they tell them that you got jam'd, it looks like they have so much fun and you can't help but to laugh right along with them cause she really makes it fun for you. By far I would have to say that this is the best work out program I have ever workout on. I am extremely happy that I purchased this program. So, Slimwish, go ahead, do the right thing, cause you will be making the right choice, if you love to dance and have fun then this is the best motivator out in the world. (to me!!!)
And yes, I will keep you all updated on how everything is going.

Hello! I have been scared to death to buy Turbo Jam from the company who sells it...I have heard nothing but bad things about them when I started doing some research. My husband and I have seriously been thinking about buying this but found out a couple days ago that they have a ton of complaints that don't sit right with me.Most of the people complaining say they haven't received the videos after several weeks, sometimes months...some say they have been WAYYYY over charged...sometimes close to triple the amount advertised and others say that when they call they always get the run around, nobody is willing to answer any questions, nobody will process returns and sometimes people at the company are just flat out rude.Luckily there are people selling it on ebay and Amazon...I just can't wait for it to eventually hit the stores!!!

| I've heard of these stories about people having issues with ordering Turbo Jam - but I had absolutely none. I eventually ordered a total of FIVE different TJ packages directly online at Beachbody.com and each one came within the normal time limits...no extra fees...no hassles...no problems...no issues whatsoever. Perhaps it's better to order online? I don't know. I just wanted to interject that because I was definitely a pleased customer. Good luck guys! Happy Jammin'!

I've read the same things! The stories were really freaky.
But I'm getting interested in buying Turbo Jam again.
Who here has Turbo Jam Maximum Results? Is it good compared to the other Turbo Jam products?

Good day all! I'm new to the forum as well as the Chalene Johnson phenomenom! I'm soooooooooooo in love with this video... i just started on Saturday and believe me when i say that this TJ is worth every red cent you have in your pocket if you're looking to lose weight. My body is already slimming and i've only done the workout 2 times. My energy level is through the roof! The next day after trying the TJ i was hurting in places that i didn't even know had muscles...lol.. my back for starters has been almost unbearable ...but-this is by far the only tape that i've ever tried that actually hit areas that not even BILLY BLANKS could hit! lol...
Wasn't in love with CS... but i found out that there are 2 locations that business mainly comes out of. The CS, when you're contacting them about your package, is in India... and then there's one in LA that calls you if you've had some problems with receiving your package. Has this been anybody else's concerns?
I just happened upon this website and i can't wait to log in my results along with everybody else! I think it's a very rare thing when you have a workout video and everyone has only positive things to say about it! I'm sooo excited about this DVD... i'm so tired of being unhappy with the way i look. but this time.. i'm going to WIN.. i just know it... i've already cleared out my cabinets and have replaced them with all healthy foods, whole grains, veggies and fruits. Instead of setting myself up for failure... i'm setting myself up to win, win, WIN!!

I wanted to ask the same thing, which DVD did you start off with? Also, when I ordered TJ I had no problem getting it, I was even able to go online and chat with one of the personals from Beachbody and they answered all of the questions I had. I actually called the number that they give you on TV and everything came in one piece, but I am not going to lie I received my stuff maybe a few days after I thought I was going to receive it but that was okay, just as long as I had everything in the package that I ordered.

Hi slimwish - I purchased ALL the Turbo Jam packages; they were organized a bit differently back when I ordered them. I've got the original set (which differs from the current Maximum results set), the Max results package, the Elite package, the Live package, and the Get on the Ball package. Just a bit of a fan here. I can honestly say, almost every single dvd is excellent. My favorites are Punch Kick & Jam, Cardio Party 2, Cardio Party 3, Fat Blaster, and Cardio Party Remix. | Hi Scoobees, if you don't mind me asking, which dvd is great for slimming down, as into losing weight, cause I brought the original with the elite pachage and gloves but I would like to know which is the best dvd to get really good results in losing pounds? I don't want to start toning up until I lose that I don't want and I don't want to get the dvd's mixed up. I guess to break it down and stop making it complicate, I don't want to start on one of the dvd's and it's really for toning when I am trying to lose weight. Thank you so much for your recent response.

Hi Angel - In my opinion, all the Turbo Jam dvds are great in aiding weight loss. Most of them are basically cardio...so you're definitely getting your heart rate up for 30 - 45 min which is great. The only ones that are 'toning' related are Turbo Sculpt, 3T (Totally Tubular Turbo), Lower Body Jam and Booty Sculpt & Abs. (Well, Ab Jam too - but obviously ab-related). These focus on muscle toning (not cardio) with either weights, bands, or tubes. But don't be afraid to tone or do weights right away. It's a perfect tool to incorporate right along with your cardio...and you will see results faster. Not only will you be burning more calories, you will also be building muscle and firming up all along the way.
Did your package come with a booklet giving you a basic workout schedule to follow for your dvds? When I first started I used that rotation schedule that was included. That way I got a good mixing of the dvds and never really got bored. When I got the other packages I just incorporated the others into that rotation. There is a Turbo Jam forum at beachbody.com if you're interested. Lots of members post questions, or their fabulous results, and when you're ready for it they have more advanced rotations for the dvds, too!
Gosh, I hope I answered your original question. I tend to go on...and on...and

Yes, you sure did answer my question, thank you so much. Your absolutely right about the toning while losing, because it said that your muscles help burn the calories and fatty tissue in your body, the more your muscles work the more fat is being removed. Also, I do have the booklet but I decided to do the Advance Side of the booklet and got stuck when I saw the Scuplt DVD, it didn't really want to tone until I saw weight lose results but since you said that I am going to try it and besides that I have lost a few inches of my body already. Thanks for the advice, I am going to go to the beachbody.com website and see how the conversations over there are going.
Thanks again.

You are totally welcome Angel - ask me anything anytime. Congrats on losing a few inches already - that rocks!
I hope you find the forums over at beachbody helpful. I used to post semi-regularly in the Turbo Jam section, and the Hip Hop Abs one, too. Lots of info and help there.
Continued Success & Jamming!

Hi, I just have a question in regards to the weighted gloves. I bought the original TJ package in 2005 and I was wondering if the gloves are really worth buying?

I got the Maximum Results package with the gloves and eating plan... THOSE GLOVES ARE AWESOME!!! I use them everytime i excersize and i can feel the pull in my back... my Bra doesn't even fit the same anymore! I've gotten up everyday at 4 am to do my workouts and it has paid off immensely!! I haven't taken my stats yet... but i'm on day 9 and my clothes are starting to get very loose... this i didn't expect to happen so soon. I don't weigh myself because i have large muscle mass and although muscle weighs more than fat... when you don't see the scale move immediately you get discouraged... so i wont get on a scale yet... i'm actually seeing dramatic results in places that i haven't been able to see results in in a loooong time! My calves for starters are actually getting smaller which is really strange for me because i'm like POPEYE!! lololol.. But i have to say that Chalene Johnson's tapes have inspire greatness in me. 4 am ?? who knew?

I agree - the gloves ARE awesome. They really make me work LOTS harder - and get my heart rate up nicely. Totally worth it!

I'm still wondering about getting Turbo Jam Maximum Results...
If I only needed/wanted to lose about 8-10 pounds, would the results come a lot more slowly?... What if doing it for about 30-60 mins a day?

I believe with this video 8-10 lbs is the easiest thing to lose. This is a workout that will give you complete body transformation! You'll end up losing more weight than that if you were to do it 30-60 minutes a day. If that's all you're trying to lose then do the 10 day challenge, those pounds are gauranteed to fall off!

I think I might order the Turbo Jam Maximum Results soon...
The last time I tried to order it, the order wouldn't go through.. But there wasn't anything wrong with the card..
I'm still a bit skeptical about it, it sounds too good to be true! And there are SO many bad reviews on beachbody on the Internet. The bad reviews definately out number good ones.
Also, many people say that it takes like a month for the order to arrive! So I'm guessing that even if I do the "UPS International delivery", it might still arrive very late. I don't want to waste an additional $15 for nothing, but I don't want it to take a month to arrive.
Has anyone had a problem with beachbody?

Beachybody sells the 3T, Fat Blaster, LBJ and the next two Cardio parties. Just look up Chalene's other Turbo Jam products. It's about the same price as the Maximum Results package.
