Hey everyone,
Unfortunately I haven't lost a lot of weight since starting turbo jam. but my body has changed. i can feel the definition in my muscles. i've lost 6 pounds in all. I'm like you Preteyz I'm 5'6 and 178 lbs now. I always look like I weigh less than I do. I'm a size 12 trying to get to a 6 or a 4. 4 sounds small but when you see the infomercials and the people went down to a 4 it sounds so doable. if you look a size charts there's only an inch difference between a 4 and a 8. but i love turbo jam and although i haven't had the results i've wanted i'm going into my 8th week so i know within the next couple of weeks my body is going to change. it's been hard to keep my eating on track. has anybody else felt that because turbo jam is so efficient on your body it makes you hungrier? I just got engaged so I have new found reason to stick to it. I'm even adding the shorter workouts in the evening.
Has anyone tried the 3t workout in the maximum results package? it really hits your muscles. i've done resistance band workouts before but my gosh!! i really suggest to anyone to go ahead and get the max results. you'll be suprised what your body can do. the stronger you get the more endurance you have. it's awesome!

And thanks for letting me know Heather71285 that your co worker has been doing it for a few months. On the infomercial Chalene said her friend called after 6 months and said that her pants were falling down! So it makes me feel better that it's going to take some time to see a real difference. slow and steady wins the race right? it's a fun workout that gets me sweating so i'm not stopping. i can't wait until she comes out with more workouts.

Hi Becks, good to hear from someone else in New Zealand. Here is the phone number to order your TJ. 0800 008 009. Try it you should still be able to order without the ad on t.v. But they may have taken it off for a while because they had so many orders. Thats what happened the first time they played it (that when i ordered it) and if they have got that many orders they have probably put everybody on 30 day back orders. But it dosn't hurt to try to ring anyway. Hope this helps

wow... what's up with all you women??... don't you share your success stories with your guy friends?? I think more guys should check out Turbo Jam, it definitely is fun and you get results.... quick. I have had a weight problem... or should I say a "love to eat" problem my whole life. I love cooking and eating my creations. Diets have always been a chore, I have always put so much into them, yet little results for such a long period of time. Im a 36yr old guy, and have been doing Turbo Jam for about 6 weeks now. I do it every day with at least doing the 20 minute work out. The box with the DVD's sat on my desk for two weeks before I even opened them. I opened them up and gave them a try. I had to do some traveling for work the next day, so I played them on my laptop in my hotel room :). To date, I have lost 25 lbs.... 20 minute workout in the morning, and Cardio party in the evening. I eat moderately and splurge a couple times a week, even have a few beers. My arms are more defined now just from punching, and doing turbo sculpt once a week. It took me almost 3 months of going to the gym to be in the shape that I am now. I have never felt sore from a workout, just a little stiff. Now, I do more stretching and drink lots of water. A massage therapist told me I have to drink half my weight in ounces of water.... 200lbs, so 100 oz. of water. I sweat most of it out during my workouts though..... I feel so great!! Everyone is asking me, "What happened to you?"..... Turbo Jam!!! My mom who is almost 60 is trying it now and getting results, she is so excited. GOOD LUCK TO YOU ALL!! keep it up!!

Weight loss should NOT be your goal. Fat loss should be your goal, and if you have built muscle and still weigh the same you HAVE lost fat!
And the added muscle will make FAT loss much easier in the future!
You're doing great!

Thanks Peter. I know that I'm replacing fat with muscle. But at the same time I really want to see the scale change. And I really want to see my sizes drop. It just sucks that I can't have my cake and eat it too!
That's great Turbo Guy! Welcome to the club! It's great that you've been so successful and that your mom is doing it as well. Keep up the great results!

Hey all! Ok, I'm new to this site but I'm really glad that I stumbled across it. Let me tell you a little bit about my background...hope this doesn't bore any of you to death!
I'm a 21 year old female (will be 22 in a couple weeks), 5'6''. I'm about 145 - 150 pounds (not too sure since I hate stepping foot on a scale). About 2 years ago, I reached my highest weight of 156 and I was absolutely miserable..crying over my weight on a daily basis. I ended up going on a strict diet which resulted in me going down to 134 pounds, a size 7 in juniors in jeans (down from a size 11)...and I did this all in about 2 months..i was ecstatic and was even able to keep the weight off until recently when my weight started growing again. The original diet i went on is too difficult for me to follow now that I graduated college and started a full time job....so as a graduation present, I asked for turbo jam from a friend of mine. I kept seeing infomercials ... but didn't want to spend the money on it. My friend was reluctant in buying it. She felt as though she would be insulting me if giving it to me as a gift. However, she ended up buying it for me and I received it in June. However, I have been reluctant to use it. Meanwhile, the weight kept piling on and on and on and my size 7 jeans that I was so excited about became tighter and tighter and tighter. I knew I had to do something about it..and then I remembered turbo jam. My boyfriend kept teasing me that my friend had spent all this money on something I wasn't even using.
Yesterday, I decided to get going. I popped in the 20 minute workout but was only able to complete 12 minutes of it before I was completley out of breath....but after reading all of your posts, I am determined to keep going. I'm going to follow Chalene's schedule that she posted in the guidebook for beginners...because I obviously need to build my stamina (I haven't excercised in about 6 months). Thank you to all of you who have posted your success stories. I am truly using them as my motivation and inspiration and I am hoping that by me posting my own experiences, I'll be able to keep up with the program (I have a track record of quitting things after only about a week).
I don't judge things by the scale...as I already have stated..I hate the #%@&! thing...but I would love to be able to loosely fit into my size 7 jeans again..and I would love to tone up cause i am extra flabby!
Anyway, I think I've bored you all enough. Thanks to those who have actually managed to read through this entire post...but mostly thanks to all those that have given me the motivation to actually get started. I'll let you all know how it goes and I look forward to continuing reading your success stories.
xoxo,
HazelEyz

Hiy Good for you, I myself have just started Turbo Jam, I have done Tae Bo for years, I once was overweight after the birth of my child, I made a deal with myself and now exercise is non negotiable now unless i'm dying with some bug of flu, exercise comes first now this may seem selfish, but if I don't keep up with it my energy levels drop and I get moody so I am a better person if I exercise, so whatever you do just don'[t give up you can do it yah, I also have a question I put it to Peter and he told me to ask you all. I am having trouble logging into the official website as I had to purchase my tapes through as seen on TV over here in New Zealand hopefully one of you can help me instead, I am currently working out 6 days a week, mon, wed, frid, I do an hour of Tae Bo plus onother 1/2 hour butt leg exercises, tues, thurs and sun I run for 25mins walk 30 then do the 25mins core secrets, I would darely love to cut his down which is why I purchased Turbo Jam (believe it or not I am still not toned and still have my pooch) Can YOU PLEASE TELL ME if doing Turbo Jam will be sufficient to cover what I am doing or will I need to keep up with the running (which I don't love) I ahve worked so hard for so long that I don't want to go backwards at all, but would dearly love to spend less time exercising HELP and THANKS in anticipation.

I do them in my bedroom which doesn't allow for much space at all. You just have to think whether or not you're gonna have enough room to do kicks. If the answer is yes, then you should be fine with space.

Becks,
You do a ton of cardio, but I don't see hardly any resistance/strength training which is what does the toning. You need to lift or do the sculpting 3 times a week to start getting those results and I guarantee you will. Training the muscle. For TJ use the Lower Body, 3t, bootysculpt, ab Jam and T sculpt, even PKJ has a sculpt section. That should help w/variety and prevent the plataeu

Hi all,
I used to post on another TJ board, but it's been slow. Glad I found this one! Anyway - I purchased the basic package about a year ago. I loved it. In the winter, I bought the rest of the videos and now have the whole collection. Around March until July, I worked out almost every single day. I felt great, and although I was still pretty fat, I was looking so much better. (If only I could stop eating so much!!!) I stopped working out for about six weeks and just started up again. I'm so out of shape, gained TEN pounds in that period of time and am just disgusted. Hoping to get back there again soon!
So good to find others who love TJ so much. It's really changed my life. I can't believe I actually look forward to working out!
Look forward to getting to know you all.
Liz

Tahnks for that Ebonybombshell I only have the first set of Turbo Jam dvd's as that is all we can get over here at this stage, but I will follow your advise and get some more resistance in there as this is my first week I though I would just follow here advanced plan but I might add the turbo sculpt in there a few times, you are obvioulsy able to get alot more of her dvd's I sure hope they make them available in New Zealand, as when they bought out Tae Bo they just did the one original library and it was bloody hard to get more as alot of places don't ship here, well thankyou so much for your advise I'll keep you posted.

Hi Ladies and ....... Gentlemen!
I think I'm going to have to re-order my Turbo Jam since it seems that my first attempt did not go through.
Now that I'll be doing this process all over again.. i'm just wondering if I need to order the basic package first or can i just start w/ the maximum?
what are your opinions? I just don't want to spend over 100 dollars for both, if the maximum is better and the basic package comes w/ some unnecessary things that i don't think that i would be using.
but still would love to get opinions from you ladies...
have been doing tae bo for some time, so i'm not totally out of shape... but just curious if max is doable without trying out the basic.
thanks

Bride2be,
Sorry you're having so much trouble with beachbody. One thing I learned when ordering from them is to do it all on the live chat. I then copy it and keep it on record. That way, when they say you're wrong, you can say No, you're wrong and i have it recorded. I always get what I was promised even though they try to get out of it.
I love LOVE the maximum results package a lot more than the basic package. It's my favorite, that's for sure. YOu won't get the ab dvd, or the learn and burn, but if you're low on money, I would definitely get the max. results package. You'll still get a toning dvd, and having those two cardio dvd's in the package is awesome. Some may disagree with me about not really needing the learn and burn thing - but I figure - watch the infomercial for the tuck position, and you'll be fine:) especially since you've been doing tae bo for a while.

Bride2Be,
I don't really know much about the max package since I don't have it...but according to Liz, you don't get the ab dvd. The basic package has the ab dvd and it is awesome! I have never felt an ab workout the way i felt after doing the ab dvd..so if u get the max package and it doesn't have it, i would definitely recommend ordering the ab dvd seperately possibly from ebay or something because I know i wouldn't be able to have TJ package without it.

Ok, I am close to being convinced to order this. Can you lovley ladies help me..
I'm 26, 5ft 9in, weigh 85kgs ( 187lbs) I haven't done serious cardio for ages. I smoke and don't eat the best. I want to get a work out I can do at home, my dilemma every other exercise video has nearly always resulted in me being carted off in an ambo with cardiac arrest. Will I last longer than 2mins. I realise I have to start somewhere, (I used to be really fit) but is this TRUELY a beginner workout?
Any comments much appreciated.

Cath,
Yes and no....It moves to intermediate pretty quickly. That being said, all videos have low impact options that you can follow till you are ready/able to kick it to the next notch. Honestly when I'm tired some days I jump back and forth just so I'm still moving. So the beg set would work well, but in the mean time start walking to get your heart and lungs prepared a little. You'll be quickly pleased at how much you improve once you commit yourself.
Bride
Max results-great, but almost no ab sections like the other sets and I can't imagine not having the basic kit to start out with. Tell us what you do and how it goes. once you place an order they start dending you discount options too. So that may help w/cost

After doing some more research... i keep seeing bad reviews for beachbody.com
Not the product itself, just the horrible customer service.. is there anywhere else i can order the maximum results?
i've decided that i would just order the maximum results package and then get the ab jam as others have suggested, but now I'm skeptical about purchasing from beachbody.com, but i can't seem to find it anywhere else.
any ideas?
thank you

Hey bride to be! I'm a bride to be also!! I was going to say that I read a lot of reviews about beachbody customer service before I ordered too, but I always order online and then you don't have issues. You get billed correctly and you receive your product in the time quoted online. So in case you just got the basic, when you're ready to do the max results, just use the link on the bottom of this forum and order online.
I'm glad to know that I'm not the only one struggling with my eating. Ever since I started Turbo Jam 7 weeks ago I feel like my appetite has skyrocketed. That sure doesn't help. And then now I have this horrible cramp in my calf and so I can't workout until it gets better. I'm so thankful for this forum it really does help keep you motivated even when you can't workout. Hopefully i'll be fine at 6 am tomorrow. I'll get up and try. That's what I did this morning; I tried and after the warm up my leg was telling me to stop.
I'm not sure who asked, I think it was Becks; but I wanted to say Turbo Jam will help you transform your body. Since you already workout regularly I suggest that you focus more on strength training to shape and tone our body and boost your metabolism. But also double it up. Do both cardio and strength training on the same days. I've been doing a long workout like one of the cardio party's in the morning and then 20 min or burn or ab jam in the evening. And then one of the strength workouts on alternating days. Hope this helps.
Does anyone have any advice on how they stick to their diet? Turbo Jam really makes you want to eat more.

Aria,
So glad to see that i'm not the only one struggling with this whole eating thing! I thought I was going crazy because ever since I started TJ, I have been hungry non stop!... and it's only been 4 days! I'm scared to see what the future holds for me. I haven't really been sticking to any kind of diet..but I know I should start or else I won't be seeing any kind of results..but if i'm this hungry all the time now without any kind of diet, i don't even want to think what its gonna be like when I start actually carefully watching what I eat.
If anyone has any ideas what to do for those constant hunger cravings, i'd greatly appreciate it!

When I started Turbo Jam I did a 10 day "detox" to re-program my body. I really REALLY feel this has helped with my results with Turbo Jam. I have lost 13 pounds in 4 weeks and am not having the hunger issues others have described. What also helped me was writing down EVERYTHING I ate along with the calorie content. I gave up soda completely, which I didn't even think was possible. Now that it's been 4 weeks, I am so proud of what I have accomplished. Since college, I have been on a roller coaster of diets. It has taken me 10 years to realize that I have to do this the right way or it's not going to work. So, I keep my calories below 1500 per day, and exercise 45 minutes to an hour daily. I thought 1500 calories wouldn't be enough to keep me full, but have found that it is more than adequate. A tip that has helped me is, if you think you are hungry...put some raw veggies on a plate and eat them...the nutritional benefits are great, and the calories are few. If that doesn't sound good, then you aren't really that hungry Don't give into the cravings! They will rob us of the results we want and deserve! I think we all just have to come to a point personally when we aren't going to accept not succeeding. We can do this together!

I so totally agree with jlkgolf76. What I do is something similiar. I'm doing the Jay Robb fat burning diet where he promotes carb cycling every other day. One day I have low carb foods and the next I have high carb foods. But don't get scared ...its the right kinds of high carbs foods that I eat, like wheat bread or brown rice or sweet potatoe. I eat 3x/day without feeling hungry. However, when I do (which is rare), I drink a 8-16 oz glass of water which makes my cravings go away. I also keep telling myself that nothing tastes better than skinny feels. Then I can drink my water with much dignity. I applaude everyone's effort in wanting to better their bodies as well as your minds. It takes will power to grasp ahold of a battle. But once we do...watch out because it's on then! Keep pushing play everyone.

I haven't got my TJ in the mail yet but I just ordered it on Monday so I can't wait for it to arrive! You all here have given me so much hope that it WILL work for me so I can't wait to start!
A little about me. I am a mother of three boys ages 18, 15, and 8. I am 5'7" and if I had to guess (since I haven't stepped on a scale since I was at the hospital 3 months ago) I would say I am roughly 187 pounds. For the most part I am like a few of you on here and my weight does not show as that heavy to most people (either that or they lie to me convincingly ) but I do not have any muscle tone and I just have flab rolling over most of my clothes.
I tend to wear a size 10 - 12 depending on the maker but three years ago I was in a size 4 - 6. I got that way on the Atkins diet - no exercise - however, they do not tell you that the diet is very very bad for you health wise! I originally was a size 20 when I started Atkins and I dropped down to the 4 and was estatic! I thought, "look! I can eat all sorts of fatty foods IE: red meats, cheeses, etc. and still lose all this weight!" But, I was diagnosed with cancer shortly after reaching that size 4 goal and the doc's informed me that due to my deficiencies in the right kinds of vitamins stemming from my diet that my body just didn't have it in it to battle it like it should. SO to make a long story short I ended up having surgery, spending two weeks in a coma and then stopping the Atkins diet. But the health effects only seemed to get worse. I recently had a heart attack (and I am only 38!) and spent the week in ICU and had to have a balloon angioplasty- all due to my poor choice in diet!
So when one of the nurses recommended this exercise program I thought, well at least I can try! So I started doing research on TJ and found this site and loved reading all of your posts that I just jumped and ordered it. I am hoping to see the same results that most of you have had. I will keep you all posted as I start this journey and I look forward to reading all of your posts.
One last thing.... I saw one of the posts regarding the constantly hungry once you start the program so I went back and asked the cardiologist's nurse what I should do about it if it should happen to me and she talked to the doc and he said that when hunger urges strike that I should drink a 100 calorie protein shake. He recommended the EAS low carb protein shake (I love the chocolate - no after taste like the vanilla) and if you go to Wal-Mart you can get it there in the 4 packs for $4.99 (look for the silver packaging). It is only a 100 calories and it only has two grams of carbs so it will curb your hunger craving as well as satisfy your sweet tooth. I have been using them since last week and I love them! I have one in the morning with my apple (around 4:30 a.m. and I don't get hungry again until around 11!
Doc says once I start the TJ program that I can have up to 4 of the shakes a day as long as I stick to my heart healthy diet for the rest of my meals and I should get the added benefit of losing weight as well!
Sorry the post has been so long but I have been so excited to start the TJ program and I can't wait to get it in the mail!!

I commend you on wanting to get healthy. I don't know how I would cope with all that you have gone through. I want you to be there for your kids!
I think Turbo Jam is a great way to get yourself in shape. Especially if it was recommended by your doctor. I would work very closely with him/her considering your history.
As far as hunger goes, the diet plan that Chalene recommends is very cardio-healthy and I did not find that I was hungry doing her 10 day kick-start. When I'm hungry I eat veggies like baby cut carrots, sugar snap peas or raw green beans. No dip, just plain. They all have good crunch factor and the fit nearly every diet plan. Air-popped popcorn makes another good snack. Higher protein keeps me satisfied longer than anything else, but you may need modifications based on your heart diet. I make smoothies using skim milk, fruits and weight watchers smoothie mix or you could use the protein powder. Freeze peeled bananas, blueberries, strawberries. I throw these in with milk and a handful of ice in the blender...very healthy and filling. You can also add fat free sugar free yogurt or fat free plain yogurt depending on the consistency you want.
These are a few ideas...There are many more on this site. Good luck with Turbo Jam...I love it!

Hi guys :) I've read a lot of the posts here and I decided to post myself.
I am 16 years old, 5'3 and I weigh 118 pounds with the bmi of 20.
Sooo I'm really not fat or even overweight, I think I could do with loosing a few pounds, and toning but I really don't know if Turbo Jam would be right for me lol =P
I've seen the commercials so many times and I want it so badly haha, it looks great and so much fun :) My mother said she'd order it if I really wanted it, so I decided to do some research on it first, see if the feedback is good or bad.
So before I order, do any of you think I should? Like would it be right for me? Lets not forget I am only 16 and really not fat, I've still got a cute figure, its just got flaws that need fixing.
Thanks in advance for any help you can give me!
Lots of love, Megsie.

Hi - I'm a new member. I was inspired to join this forum from reading the posts by "showmpunkxcore" and "purplecat" - you guys are so positive and inspiring and helpful to the other forum members.
I'm 49 years young and tomorrow am undergoing arthroscopic knee surgery. I have a cyst in my knee and a slight case of osteoarthritis. It has hindered my ability to do lower body exercises, let alone going up and down stairs. The doctor says after this surgery I'll be "...better than before...". So my plan is to add Turbo Jam to my regular gym routine. I'm in perimenopause so weightloss is slow, metabolism is slow, no matter how little I eat, no matter how hard I work out.
I am hoping that TJ will work for me like it has for you all. My goal is to lose 40 pounds (52 in actuality), but I am setting my goal in groups; I'm aiming to go 10 pounds at a time. I'm thinking this will make it more realistic and I won't become despondent if I don't lose fast enough. My weight ballooned due to medication I had to take a few years back and its been difficult to take the weight off despite my efforts. I am in the public eye at work and looking my best is paramount. People are surprised at my weight - 232 pounds; they say I "carry it well" I stand 6'0". There is cancer, diabetes and heart disease in my family and I want to move out of the line of fire, not be "at risk".
I am ordering my TJ tonight. I figure by the time I get it I hope to be getting the "green light" from my doctor that I can begin working out again.
Any help you guys can give wholeheartedly appreciate.
I wish everyone here continued success. I'll be writing everyday - I need the support.
Thanks

Welcome megsie & brand-nu-me. I have a few words of advice for both of you.
Megsie, I think you could do Turbo Jam. I would adjust your diet accordingly to avoid losing any more weight. You have a great BMI. If you lose much more body fat it could interefere with your development. Women don't reach full maturity until about age 25. You may yet grow taller. I did a lot of exercise in high school as I was a soccer player. I wish I had stayed active. I think establishing healthy exercise habits now will do you a GREAT service in the long run. You may have noticed, many of us on this site did not start out large.
Turbo Jam is great for toning and improvement in cardiovascular condition. And it's FUN. I wish this was around when I was your age. Don't be surprised if your mom wants to do it too. LOL. I love what it's doing for me. It has given me a big boost in self esteem.
brand-nu-me...My main recommendation is to make sure you buy the proper shoes for Turbo Jam. I felt some stress in my knees when I first did it. There are ways to modify the exercises to avoid stressing the knees, but I found that nearly all the stress is gone from my knees now that I have the right shoes. I can even do the high impact moves now.
Chalene recommends Nike Shox. There are several companies that make comparable shoes. When I went to the shoe store, I asked a lot of questions. Make sure you get a knowledeable sales clerk. You want shoes with a rigid sole, especially beneath the arch. Make sure the clerk understands that you will be doing kicking and both lateral and front-back movements. My clerk recommended cross-trainers based on those moves. The cross-trainers prevent the ankle from twisting and thereby prevent the knee from twisting. The clerk also said to look for shoes without a lot of mesh in front. The one with mesh tend to be more flexible and have more room for the front of the foot to slide around.
Will you have a knee-brace after surgery?

Thanks for your prompt response and advice Skipperdox. I don't know that I'll be needing a knee brace after surgery - I'll know tomorrow for sure (the "big day"). Similar to the other woman who posted here, I have carpeting where I will be doing my TJ - would you recommend I do it barefoot?
I've learned that for this type of aerobic kickboxing type exercise that crosstrainer shoes are the best. I will look into nike shock, though. I of course have to wait til my doctor gives me the ok to go back to exercise and as well, find out if I'll need any rehab.
Thanks again. Either way I'm psyched about doing Turbo Jam and getting back into shape and losing the weight that I want.
Cheers,
brand-nu-me

Hi Brand-nu,
wishing you the best tomorrow!
I do TJ in my barefeet. I have foot issues, so it decreases my pain, but in general, it's just easier for me to do it barefoot on the carpet. I have since developed a lot of calf and shin pain, but if I take it easy for a few days and go low impact, it heals itself.
Take care!

Hi,
I just wanted to say that your posts here have inspired me to join this forum AND buy Turbo Jam!
I wrote and posted on this site - I'm 49, having knee surgery tomorrow - nothing too serious, just removal of a cyst and bone fragments due to osteoarthritis. Doctor says after surgery and healing I'll be "better than before". I'm looking forward to getting back to shape and hopefull losing 40 pounds in 10 pound increments.
All your posts here have been inspiring - thank you.

cubfan65 wrote: Greetings everyone. I am new here and I am finally going to go ahead and purchase the Turbo Jam DVD set as I saw on the infomercial today. I have seen it a few times and really paid no mind to it since I am generally a bit skeptical on most things. But my curiosity has been raised and like I do with most things when I am skeptical, I go to the internet forums and see what real people have to say. Again, always been skepital on the testimonials from people on infomercials.
I have to say that I just turned 40 and I weigh the most I have ever weighed at 258 lbs on this 6'0" frame of mine. Oh, and I am a male just in case you are wondering as it seems that most people on this thread are ladies. I just bought some new jeans and they are 42 inch waste (although probably could have gotten by on a 40 inch, but the 42 inch is comfortable and I am all about comfort).
I would say my goal is to lose the waste (36" would be nice) and the fat on my face and chin. Also, some definition on the abs and arms would be nice as well. So, I am going to go press the button and order this DVD series and hope for the best. I have to say that I don't like exercise unless it comes to playing a game of tennis or racquetball or something like that cause you are focused on hitting the ball and having fun and the exercise is sort of fringe benefit.
Can anyone advise if they feel like they have more energy after doing Turbojam? I know that is generally a positve benefit of any workout program, but did not see anyone chime in on this thread about their energy level being increased.
Look forward to trying this and will fill you in on the details and progress.
John
Hi John-
I'm new to this forum and am reading posts and just read yours. Our weight/height is almost the same (I'm 232, 6ft) and I'm female (if I guess from your handle, we're also both Cuban). I am ordering Turbo Jam - just wanted to know how you're doing.

Hi John I have just started Turbo Jam this week, i have been doing Tae Bo for six years prior to this and any thing along these lines is excellent for increasing energy, I find it excellent for energy even more so than running etc, I feel better after my cardio kick box workouts than I do after a run and Turbo Jam is soooooooooo much fun but still has alot of those kickboxing moves, I am one of these people that has to exercise or otherwise I feel absolutely terrible hav eno energy and am so grumpy so now exercise is non negotiable for me even on thoses days when I really don't want to I know I am better of if I do, just so glad to have this fun new thing to do, I am so glad I came on this forum and seen what everyone had to say so I knew it was a sure thing, IT'S GREAT i'm gonna get my partner to start doing it with me, have felt a bit unco-ordinated this week but that's normal

How has everyone's weekend been? I'm currently at work and if your weekend has been anything like mine, I'm afraid to step on the scale. I've slipped, fell, stombled, #%@&!....I've totally stepped over the bandwagon. Every cookout I went to have great food and I was definitely tempted to taste. However, it's a new week and I'm focused again. But I do have a dilema. I am a registered nurse working nights and I have the most difficult time trying to space my eating times appropriately but it's hard. Anyone having this problem and if so, how did you overcome it?

I am 29, 5' 9.5" and 184 lbs. This is the biggest I have every been. I have always been active in exercise until this past year (went back to school full time + work full time). I have been doing tae bo boot camp and winsor pilates. I love the pilates but it doesn't give me the cardio workout I need. The boot camp is hard to keep up with and even harder to stay motivated. I have lower back problems and the bootcamp seems to irratate this. I also wasted my money on the Nutra Systems meals. Did not lose a single pound. I tend to fluctuate 10-15 lbs but am trying to get it under control. I am trying to conceive and want to start out as healthy as possible. I have ordered the Turbo Jam and am wondering if it is hard on the lower back? Also, if I do become pregnant, is TJ safe to continue?

Hi Everyone! I am so happy to have found this thread.
I just ordered Turbo Jam yesterday after hearing my friend rave all weekend about how fabulous it is. It is great to find so much positive feedback on this product.
I am notorious for wasting $ on diet and exercise products that I never follow through on. I am sure once my husband finds out I ordered it he is going to kill me but oh well. It is worth a shot. He was mad at my friend for even telling me about it...lol
I am 30 years old. 5'2" and 123 lbs. I have quite a bit of weight to lose as I am very out of shape. Actually I am not really as concerned with the weight but I desperately need to lose inches!! I used to be a size 2 or 3 and now find myself sometimes needing a size 8 for pants just to fit my big ol butt in them. I really need to increase my energy level as well since I am very lethargic and unmotivated the last couple of years.
I can't wait to start. I hope I become a TJ fanatic as well!!

Hi icykc - I also was having back problems doing tae bo & billy's boot camp elite. In fact I only lasted approx 2 weeks doing boot camp. Since starting Turbo Jam my back has not hurt at all! I was really worried about that. My knees sometimes get a bit sore - but that reminds me to use good form - which Chalene really stresses. And turbo jam is SO much more FUN than tae bo could ever be!!! As far as doing TJ once you become pregnant - always ask your doctor's opinion first.
Also Hi to mrslid! You mentioned wanting to increase your energy level - you won't believe your energy once you get into turbo jam. As soon as I hear the music start - it's like turning on a light switch LOL!
I hope you both get your packages soon!

Maybe it's just me but I feel as if I'm talking to myself. I've tried several times to ask questions and join in on the conversations, but I guess everyone has their favorite people to talk with. What's the point of joing a forum if nobody answers your questions or only comments to particular people . I'll just stay motivated by myself and find other forums that participates collectively. Thanks anyway.

| Thanks for responding. I don't remember the original tae bo being so stressful on my body. Well, I am eagerly awaiting my TJ videos. I have a doctors appointment today so I will ask about using TJ if I become pregnant. IF anything, I am sure it will be useful after pregnancy. Thanks again.

| Hiya I'll yack i'm up for a chat, don't worry if you fall of the bandwagon just don't dwell on it, an ddon't be too hard on yourself, I think when people throw them selves into some hard core new healthy eating plan it becomes too hard if you take reducing meal sizes tec slowly and don't cut out everything it is not as bad, even try allowing yourself one day a week where you allow treats I am a size 0 but after my son was born I was 73 kgs which on a shorty like me isn't to good, it took about a year but i lost 25kgs doing taebo, didn't stick to any strict eating thing I just exercised and ate within reason, keep up your exercise and slowly but surely you'll get there just don't give up, and whatever you do don't be too hard on yourself if you slip up, forget it move on. This is my second week doing Turbo Jam loving i |
