My son is just about 14 months. I actually don't weigh too much more than b4 I got pregnant but my extra weight is now all in my middle area. I think I will try to start doing my TJ tapes along with walking to see if it makes a difference.

Hey everyone! I just want to start off by saying I LOVE TURBO JAM. I am a girl who needs to lose a good 80lbs, and a month and a half ago I was watching tv when an infomercial came on for TJ. Now at first glance I thought it looks like fun, but would I be able to do it and if I ordered it would I be able to keep motivated. Here was this little blonde chick (chalene), the size of one of my thighs bouncing around the screen talking about how its so easy and fun and she had all these pics of people who had lost weight on the program, and all these testimonies from people, and I kept thinking yeah right. It must of taken months to reshape what she had claimed would only take you thirty days. But, it was when I saw Anna-Rita, that my intrest really peak. That girl was all the inspiration I needed to sign on to my computer and order the deluxe package.I said to myself, if she can do it, so can I because what she had lost was what I wanted to lose. The package arrived within five days(by the way did i forget to mention that I'm in toronto canada?), I paid for the express package; and I started a week later. I was working up my nerve. . All I can say is that I wished I hadn't waited that week. I am following the exercise plan religiously, and since then have lost 6 pounds -and-get this- 11 inches !! I have no intention of slowing down and I can't wait to get home after work every day to punch, kick and Jam my way to good health. Thanks Chalene and thank you Amerita for showing that a smaller me is possible without skipping out on the fun.

hey everyone! i've been doing turbo jam for 2 wks. now. i have not exercised in yrs and really enjoy this workout. I was a former Taebo lover and lost lots of weight on it but it got rough on my knees and joints. I guess all the twisting. I hope TJ won't do this. I don't think i have lost any inches or lbs. yet but I do have more energy. I also feel like I'm not as hungry as I used to be. Also I thought when I ordered this that I was able to use the beachbody site free. Seems you get a 30 day trial and then you are charged on your credit card. i think some of it can be accessed for free.
P.S. i love the ab workout. you can feel it working your abs.

I placed the order on a Saturday and on Tuesday I already had a notice from UPS that they had attempted to deliver my package! Turns out they ship from about 20 minutes from my home.
I watched the first 2 workouts and did them once, but I haven't been able to workout again because I've been sick.
In the meantime I'm enjoying reading about people's other workout routines and the way the use Turbo Jam.

I've been sick all week....but i just can't stay away from my TJ dvd's. I know that you should rest when you're sick but chalene, keeps calling my name. lol . I make sure that I keep the intensiy really low because like I said i've ben sick and I don't want to make myself feel worse, I find it very theraputic.Love TJ and the results are phenomenal. I am fitting into a pair of jean capris that weren't even going over my bum last Saturday. I can't wait to see what fits me next week. Keep motivated people, and for those of you who are thinking of buying TJ, do it! You won't regret it.

Hi guys, New Zealand has just had its first taste of the TJ infomercial yesterday. I found this site looking for info on it to see if I had spent my money well. I'm so pleased that I have ordered this. Hopefully I will actually be able to stick to this and lose the weight.

| Hello everybody! My name is Erica, I just ordered Turbo Jam today and I am so excited for its arrival! :D Two years ago, I looked really good, I was very proportionate, and most importantly, I was healthy. Recently, I have been traveling a lot which makes me gain weight, why, I do not know. Also, I have been going through a lot of family problems which could be causing my weigh gain. I am 4' 10 and I am very active I have played all sports ever since i was little, and I still do. Since those two years ago, I have gained 26lbs. People are shocked when i tell them I gained that much, because it only looks like i ganed around 7lbs. I took measurements of my body two years ago, and they are the same as my current measurements. I think that if I lost the 26lbs. I gained, i would be slimmer than I was two years ago which is not what I want. I am looking to loose approximatly 15lbs. no more than that. Below is a current picture of myself. I want to trim my waist about 3-4 inches, my thighs about 2 in each leg, and i want to tone my arms. Is 15lbs. to much or to little for me to achieve my goals? Also, which of the five workouts would be best for me? Preferably something with quick results! Thank you for your time, and please get back at me!:) Attached Image (viewed 1450 times):

Hi all - brand new member here and am planning on ordering TJ in the near future. My problem is that my knees are easily aggravated by any high impact activities. As an older exerciser (43) I unfortunately have to be concerned with such things.
Has anyone had any problems with this so far? Any help/advice would be much appreciated...Thanks!

Hey Scoobies! In regards to your question. Turbo Jam is a high impact workout....BUT there is a lady in the video called Mindy who does everything low impact and she has lost 45lbs doing so! So there's an option for you to follow that would be a little easier on your body. Try it out. If it still bothers you, you can always return it. I alternate between the low and high impact, depending on how I feel that day and I always get a good work out. Hope this helps. :yumm:

Hey Erika! Congrats on making your TJ purchase. I am not quite sure on how much weight you should lose, but in reguards to which work outs you shoul use, try alternating between cardio party , turbo sculpt and ab jam. I use all of my tape and then some but when i first started these were my power three and since then i've lost, 2 inches on each thigh an inch in each arm and 3 inches on my waist and 3 inches on my hips all in a month and a half, and i took a week off because i was sick. ;) This program really works. I LOVE TURBO JAM. I hope this helps,

| Thanks Sharpie - that helps alot. After watching the TJ informercial I kinda got the impression there was quite a bit of jumping around...a couple years ago I would have liked that...but not now with these knees LOL. It helps to know there is a low impact option - thanks. Attached Image (viewed 1428 times):

Hello everyone! I am also new to the forums!
I am a college student and saw the TJ infomercial during one night of pure insomnia. Usually I am skeptical of any infomercials because I have fallen for them before, however, I immediately saw a difference in TJ! I was able to see Chalene Johnson sweating, so if the creator was still getting a a good workout then I knew it was worth further investigation.
I was so close to ordering the package one night and then found absolutely horrible reviews. I became discouraged and put it off, however, I just could not shake the feeling that I had to try this!
I plan on ordering it tomorrow. (pay day) Nevertheless, I was wondering for those who purchased it on the Internet, if it automatically signed you up for three monthly payments?
Also, I would love to hear how long some of you have been using TJ and your results for motivation!
Thank you!

You can buy TJ in one payment. When you get to the payment section, it breaks down the different payment methods- you just check off how you want to do it.
I LOOVE the workouts, I have been doing it for two months and I still really feel the muscles burning and I see new muscles appearing. My arms have never looked this good! All the participants in the videos clearly sweat, too. And they seem more real than the people in other videos. There are little bio's on the people in the videos that really make them personal. Some have had kids, some are in their fifties!!!
You won't be disappointed. I was reluctant to order them, too. When they came, I was kicking myself..."Why didn't I get these sooner?!"

| I just started Turbo Jam on Thursday, 7-6-06. I think it's great so far. First let me say that I've done so much research on Turbo Jam, I think I was addicted to it before I even started. I looked at a lot of customer reviews and watched the informercial way too many times. Turbo Jam is really fun and although you're really working your muscles you're enjoying it. I've done the Learn and Burn and the 20 minute workout so far. My body was so sore yesterday. I've already been losing weight since I had my baby. She's almost 15 months and to date I have lost 78 lbs since her birth. I had just gotten down to a size 8 before I got pregnant. Right now I'm a 12 and I would love to get down to a 6. I only have 33 more lbs to lose and I know that Turbo Jam is going to get me there.:D

I bought the max results package. I love it. I love that I have a variety of videos to really mix up my routine depending on the amount of time I have. The bands work great. My legs are looking awesome. Now turbo sculpt almost seems too easy in parts...time to increase the weights.

| hi people. im still waiting for my tj to arrive. Im new to this forum thing and so im not that comfortable talking about my weight. But heres a bit of information about me, i'm a 33yr old single mother of two (6 and 3) beautiful little girls. I'm 5.11" and at last weigh in i was 300lbs. So I have a very long way to go to get to my goal, but anything will be good at the moment. Luckily I'm also one of those people that others are suprised when I tell how big I really am (one of the good things about being tall I suppose). Anyway I'm still looking forward to getting my tj so thats a pretty good start. I can't wait to get started to see if I can get results from this.:D

Hi kiwigirl,
I see from another of your posts that you found this forum looking for info on TJ. Just want to be sure you know that this website has a lot more to offer than the forum... click on the logo at the very top of the page for an index. Exercise is just one part of the solution to permanent weight loss; the rest is about eating healthy.
And don't feel embarrassed about your weight. That's how we all got here!

Hello everyone! I just stumbled upon this chat room but have to admit, I got pretty psyched after reading everyone's posts and how much success they've had.
I'm looking forward to getting my DVD's and starting to lose weight. Just last week I started running 2 miles everyday but I think I'll like this much better. Anyway, I'm 38, 5'2 and weigh an all-time high at 186. I can "feel" the fat and I hate it! I'm ready to start jamming the weight away!! Once I get my DVD's, I'll update you on my progress. Everyone here seems so supportive and I really think that will help motivate me.

| Hi everyone! i'm new to TJ and this forum. just ordered my package today. reading everyone's posts on their progress has gotten me excited and i'm anxious for my package to come within the week. can't wait to get started. since college i've gained the dreaded "freshmen 15" i think each of the 4 years i was in school. =0( i've also inherited the big arms from my mom's side of the family. i'm 24 years old, about 5'3", and about 185 lbs. this is the heaviest i've ever been and i'm tired of my tire sticking out every time i sit down. my goal is to lose at least 30 lbs by my 25th birthday in december, but my ultimate goal is to go back to 135 lbs. like i was in high school. i'm hoping the TJ program will help me do that. it sounds so addicting and i hope this works. i've tried others and get pumped for like a week or two, but then i get bored because there's not enough variety. with TJ, there's so many different workouts i hope it keeps my interest. any advice for a new beginner? Julie (aka msjhoff),
There was so much good advice and inspiration in your post. I agree, we always like to see immediate results. And you're right. definitely have to stay patient through this whole process and we're making life changes, not short term ones. i love hearing everyone's success stories and hopefully soon i'll have mine to add. thank you again for the awesome advice.
p.s. my name's julie, too! =0)

Hi scoobees,
did u receive ur TJ package today? I tried the Learn & Burn yesterday and it was fun! During the Learn part I felt kind of goofy with some of the moves, but then after applying them in the Burn part it made more sense and it felt more like dancing than just moves. i think i'm gonna stick to the beginner's schedule Chalene provided in the guide book for now, and then just work my way to advanced stuff when i'm ready. so far i like it. =0) Hopefully u get to try it out soon. Let me know how it goes!

Hey Jewels - I did get it today! WooHooo! I've been reading some of the guidebook and I'm gonna pop in Learn & Burn in about 1/2 hour and give it a try.
I'm also going to stick with the beginner schedule for now; at least until I learn these moves :D. I have to be extra careful with my knees & lower back so it would definitely be to my advantage to ease into this routine. My first instincts are to go crazy with this, but I don't want to take the chance of another injury and set back. It's hard to contain yourself when you just wanna go, go, go!
I'm glad to hear you liked it! I'll let ya know what happens...:)

It was fun! I watched the Learn and did the Burn and although I lost step a few times, it was really fun. I felt like an idiot with all that tucking and pumping and shaking and shedding LOL but at least I was having a good time. :D
I rewatched the Learn part again to make sure I get the moves; tomorrow I will try the Burn again and see if I can follow a bit better. This just may become addicting!

I have really enjoyed reading all these posts and have got to put in my little two cents. I ordered TJ back in January (I had a baby in November and wanted to kick start by weight loss)…unfortunately, my VCR for some unknown reason would only accept my tapes on certain days (meaning: some days the tape would go right into the VCR and other days it wouldn’t go in at all for some unknown reason) which made it really hard for me to be consistent with it so I didn't bother. I even almost returned the tapes seeing as how I could just picture them collecting dust in the corner with all the rest of my tapes. Fast forward to April and I attended my best friends wedding only to look at the pictures and stare in amazement at how huge I looked. BUMMER. Finally around June 5, I said I was sick of the fattiness I felt and got a new VCR and put in the tapes…..and OH MY GOD! When you watch the infomercial and all the people are like “oh this is so addictive”..it is like yeah, yeah…seen it and heard it all before (i.e. Tae Bo (which I loathe). But by God, it is true. You start to hear the music in your head at night…(“It’s time to party”…..”Everybody on the floor for a party train”) and it is like you can’t wait to get up and work out. It has Tae Bo elements, but SO MUCH easier to catch on to and WAY more fun. Chalene is so energized that right when I want to say enough is enough…she is just so peppy and cute I am like “ok, I can do this….” The energy I feel when I am done is insane…there are even days I do a Cardio Party and Fat Blast (80 minutes) IN A ROW!!! The maximum results package rocks and I will always and forever recommend this to anyone. Oh and in case I forgot to mention it, I have lost 15 pounds and 18 inches since June 5.

Jewels - I couldn't resist and did the Learn & Burn twice back to back today. OMG, I am still sweating like a ! Just like you said - I can't believe what a good workout I got! And it does get easier to follow along. And you know what the best thing was? I spend the whole time with a smile on my face. That's never happened with any other workout for sure!:D I wore my heart rate monitor just to gauge how hard I was working and it was definitely in my upper range with all the effort I was giving. Burning 292 calories in that 30 min wasn't bad either. I think we are both becoming addicted!!!
Jodell - I'm so glad you put your two cents in! It always inspires me to hear how great someone is doing...and how I hope I can get to your level someday. 80 min in a row is awesome; I don't know if I'll ever get THAT good - but it's fantastic to know that you are still excited about TJ and working out. I'm a former Tae Bo person too, and the only thing similar between the two are a few moves. Tae Bo bores me completely and I could never stick with it. This puts soooo much more fun and energy into a workout. And I'm already hearing the music in my head at day #2 LOL!!!
Thanks for the recommendation on the maximum results package - I am hoping once I progress thru this first package that I will be so hooked that I'll want to order more. Congrats on your awesome success!

Jodell24 I'm so happy to hear your results!!! I'm going to order the Maximum Results next month. I just got the deluxe package I guess it's called. It has the Cardio Mix 2 and the Lower Body Workout. Turbo Jam is the absolute best thing ever!! I used to like Tae Bo and then I tried the Billy's Bootcamp and it was so horrible!!! In my first week of Turbo Jam I've lost 5 lbs. I weigh in on Sundays so I hope to see good news on Sunday. I have already lost some body fat according to my scale. My butt and legs are really getting blasted. My baby girl likes the workouts too, when I preview them before trying them. Everybody at work is like "wow Aria you're slimming down fast". Who doesn't love to hear that?;) This is the best workout ever. It kinda sucks because I did have other workouts that I liked before Turbo Jam; but I can't find time to do them because I love Turbo Jam waaaayyyy too much to stop!!!
ps i would love to be on the next informercial:D

The last three years I have not exercised much, because ever since I started taking Welbutrin, I continue to have the side effect of muscle fatigue. It is very annoying, but the medicine is doing so much good, and the side effect of weight loss counter-balanced the reduced exercise.
Well, I am now 40. I am not overweight, but I am getting flabbier and flabbier. I had a baby 20 years ago and it wasn't until last year that my stomach started sagging. I never thought it could happen so many years later. Yikes.
A couple weeks ago I saw the Turbo Jam infomercial. Since it was a lot of money and I didn't know if it would really work, I got out my old Firm tapes to see if I would even be interested in taped workouts.
I found this forum thread after doing an internet search on Turbo Jam. I started doing the Firm and felt really good, but I really need more aerobic exercise. Your posts were encouraging and inspiring. I never thought about exercising every day of the week. I was impressed! I have been doing the Firm tapes while I wait for Turbo Jam in the mail. It became obvious that I was babying my weak muscles. It is possible to push through some of that, but not all. I am feeling really good emotionally and I see some muscle tone already. The best outcome is that I am very proud of myself to add a new, healthy habit to my life. My habit these past years was to sit all day at my desk at work, drive home and settle into the recliner, watching movies and taped TV shows, and EATING. That is a hard habit to break because that in itself makes you feel like you don't have any energy to get up and exercise.
The Turbo Jam DVDs came in the mail yesterday. I ordered them from Half.com/Ebay.com and got them withing 3 days, and at a terrific price. I did the Learn & Burn workout this morning. It was neat to measure myself and know I am going to check my measurements each month - something I've never done before. My stamina is not good from the Welbutrin, so I just take little breaks as needed so I can go through the whole workout. This is the most intense feeling aerobics I have ever done. A couple of you said you cried after a Turbo Jam workout. I wanted to let you know that I did too. I think it is because Chalene is full of love and happiness. I would love to be like that! And she gives me the feeling that she really cares.
So many of you casually say how much you've lost in such a short period of time. Is this really true? Are you also changing other areas of your life drastically? - such as in what you eat? Or do you really think Turbo Jam is burning that many calories?

| I've been following this message center for a couple of weeks now, I found it while researching TJ. I just ordered it about 20 minutes ago and I am excited to start!! I seen TJ for the first time about a month ago and my boyfriend and I both want to start. I'm scared that I will do it for a couple of days then quit. Is this really as motivating as they make it seem?

Believe me I am not CASUALLY mentioning how much weight I've lost or how toned I'm getting with TJ. I am working my butt off literally. It's not just the TJ videos. I am eating healthier than I ever have (Weight Watchers) and I have a different attitude about food.
Turbo Jam is very inspiring. Chalene give just the right encouragement at just the right time in her videos. She makes me want to push myself.
an example: During some of the toughest leg exercises, where I just want to quit, and I'm making horrible faces, she says "Keep going, you may find that you love these exercises so much because of how they will reshape your legs." I know by how much the muscles are burning that she's right, and I find myself pushing harder!
These aren't sissy exercises, but they are fun. Watch the out-takes and extras on each of the DVD's and you'll see what goes into the videos. There is a lot of joy and fun infused into each video with all the sweat and tears. Like Chalene says...this is a gift you give yourself.:xmas_gift: My husband likes what they're giving to me too!

Hello everyone:
I've done TJ - Burn workout (15 minutes) 3 times now in the last 2 days. I can now make it to the end without stopping, and I'm getting the more difficult moves. Once you get them right, they flow nicely. There is something about that "Shake it" move that tickles my giggle box! It allows me to let go of my sexy side - and what is more fun than that! I enjoy giving my all to the moves - thanks to Chalene and the music, but it is easier to do this when no one is in the house. The energy is so high and positive in these tapes, is anyone else experiencing that other types of workouts seem "dead" now? - at least in spirit....
I am very sore, especially in my lower back and sides. The amazing thing is I got up and exercised before work! And did I sweat.... All of these things I am sharing are not normal experiences for me. Normally I don't try hard enough at anything to get sore or sweaty, so something is getting me going. And I certainly never felt like exerting effort soon after getting out of bed in the morning. The "fun" element is definitely making a difference.
I am getting hungrier, especially late at night. I am eating more fattening foods so I know this is stopping me from losing body fat. Anyone have some advice for me?

Scoobees: I actually found myself smiling through the workout, too! :D sometimes even laughing along with the crew because it was amazingly so much fun while you're working your butt off. after i exercise, i don't even want to sit down because i feel a surge of energy that wants to keep on going. I'm glad to hear it's getting better for you. Yes, I agree...we are getting addicted! hopefully we'll have some good results in about a month.
Jodell24 & Skipperdox: It's so good to hear from people who have been seeing a lot of success from the program. I hope that I can keep as diligent and motivated as you all are. I figure, too, with everyone becoming addicted to the program that it is not hard at all to just keep on going.
Aria82, Chererene, & Kloie99: Welcome! I hope we can all keep each other motivated through this forum. it sounds like everyone is having fun with the workouts. can't wait to hear everyone's results in a month!

Hi Cherene,
Have you tried eating small snacks during the day between meals? I found that this kind of curbs my hunger at regular meals (makes me not each as much during regular meals because i get full faster). When I do get those hunger pains or cravings, I first drink a full glass of water (or sometimes Crystal Light will help too) and then I wait a couple of minutes to see if i'm still hungry. sometimes that works. on days it doesn't, i eat something depending on what i'm craving. if i'm craving something cruchy, i eat sweet pea pods. they're crunchy and sweet at the same time and very refreshing if you eat them right out of the fridge. if i'm craving something creamy, i opt for vanilla yogurt with some fresh strawberries and blueberries mixed in. of course i have those urges sometimes to eat some ice cream, and i do. haha. but i just make sure to either cut down a lil or exercise more the next day to make up for it. just some small adjustments. you don't need to do anything major. and i keep on telling myself this as well, but to remember moderation is the key. still struggling with that one because i love the taste of food. but hopefully some of this helps. look forward to hearing more about your progress!

No need to hope you'll get addicted....because you will!!!:P Turbo Jam almost feels like my new bestfriend. It's just so much fun. For those of you who don't have it yet you have to get Booty Sculpt Live! It will have your muscles starting to quiver in the warm up. But it's very doable and you feel so rewarded after it. I like it better than Turbo Sculpt. In the past 2 weeks since starting Turbo Jam I've done the Booty Sculpt 3 times!!
A tip I have about curbing your eating; is to chew gum. I personally can't stand sugar free gum, so I know I'm getting sugar from my gum but I find that when I chew gum I'm not hungry. Chew gum and drink water.
An added bonus about Turbo Jam is that it seems to bring out your sensuality. I feel sexier from all the shaking I guess.

Hi Everyone,
I can't wait until I receive the TJ DVD's. From everyone's response it seems like the thing I need to fit into my dress for my Best-friends Wedding!

Kloie, I had the same problem when I ordered TJ. The debit came up as pending, then disappeared, then returned on my statement. Two days after it appeared on my statement, I got my videos. I was nervous when it happened, but I think it's just because their customer service is so overwhelmed by orders.
I placed two orders for Turbo Jam after that using the website. I printed the screen receipt for verification if there was any problem. There wasn't.
I LOVED THE VIDEOS SO MUCH THAT I EVENTUALLY GOT THE ENTIRE COLLECTION!
ENJOY, you won't be disappointed.
Aria...I just received my TJ live package. You were right about the live Booty Sculpt & Abs! Whooey! I was making horrible faces, I'm sure, but I'm going to love the results! The ab part was really short, too, but I was really feeling the burning in my abs. I think I got thinner from that one workout!
