Greetings everyone.  I am new here and I am finally going to go ahead and purchase the Turbo Jam DVD set as I saw on the infomercial today.  I have seen it a few times and really paid no mind to it since I am generally a bit skeptical on most things.  But my curiosity has been raised and like I do with most things when I am skeptical, I go to the internet forums and see what real people have to say.  Again, always been skepital on the testimonials from people on infomercials.

I have to say that I just turned 40 and I weigh the most I have ever weighed at 258 lbs on this 6'0" frame of mine.  Oh, and I am a male just in case you are wondering as it seems that most people on this thread are ladies.  I just bought some new jeans and they are 42 inch waste (although probably could have gotten by on a 40 inch, but the 42 inch is comfortable and I am all about comfort).

I would say my goal is to lose the waste (36" would be nice) and the fat on my face and chin.  Also, some definition on the abs and arms would be nice as well.   So, I am going to go press the button and order this DVD series and hope for the best.  I have to say that I don't like exercise unless it comes to playing a game of tennis or racquetball or something like that cause you are focused on hitting the ball and having fun and the exercise is sort of fringe benefit.

Can anyone advise if they feel like they have more energy after doing Turbojam?  I know that is generally a positve benefit of any workout program, but did not see anyone chime in on this thread about their energy level being increased.

Look forward to trying this and will fill you in on the details and progress.

Personally, my energy has skyrocketted... if I go a day without doing Turbo Jam or some other form of exercise I get really antsy.... fidgetty... and annoy the #%@&! out of my boyfriend haha. I used to  be fine with sitting around all day... not any more... I need to get up and do something!

Hey Guys! I had seen the TurboJam infomercial on TV last weekend, and was debating ordering it until I did some reasearch about it on the web and came across this forum. You have all inspired me to order TurboJam and I can't wait to get started!

A little about me: I'm 23, female, 5'9 and 173lbs. I'm pretty tall and borderline overweight. I lost about 20 pounds last year (gym 5 days/week, eating super healtyh), but after my graduation trip to Europe, and my first 9-5er (more like 7-7 with the commute), and lack of gym access, I gained half of the weight back and refuse to buy big clothes anymore. I have an eliptical and some free weights here at home, but I jsut don't seem to be motivated or getting the results I want. So I'm hoping that I, too, will be able to shed this excess weight as so many of you have.

I was just wondering if they recommend a schedule, who's tried the "supplements" (I didn't get them, I think all diet pills are a crock of ----), if you saw more toning or just weight drop, and how long it took you to start seeing results.

I look forward to sharing my results with you!

hey jess

I think you will enjoy the TURBO JAM sysytem.  I am also 5'9 and weigh 173.  Istarted the program about a week ago and have done it every day.  I love kick boxing and enjoy the moves and music.  I aslo walk with my goldenretriver and german shepeard almost everyday for two to four miles.  I got the program because I have stalled at 173 but am losing inches which is good but I like to see the scale move.  This forum has introduced to a lot of people and how much they enjoy Turbo JAm.  Ill tell you you can really feel the workout just after the first try.  Your abs feel stronger and legs as well.  Anyways i thought I would drop you a line since we are both the same height and weight.  If you get into the system get back to me on what you think

I ordered mine last Friday, but apparently it hasn't even been shipped out yet. :(  How long did it take for everyone else?

I'm not the type to just sit around either, though, so I went out and got Karen Voigt's Streamline Fitness DVD for 10 bucks. :D  I must say, I like it.  I expect it will provide a good counterbalance to Turbo Jam -- between the two, I'll have good variety and shouldn't get bored at all. :)

I ordered mine last Monday, and have yet to recieve it. What's up with that? Express delivery my @$$! I guess its a good thing I have my eliptical and MagRack in the meanwhile. The weather in the Northeast has also become sooo beautiful, so I began taking walks at lunch (2-3 miles). I'd really like to get my Turbo Jam soon, while I'm still excited about it. hmmmmmmmm....

Have you heard of the Turbo Jam House party?  If you host a party, they'll send you a bunch of the Turbo Jam DVDs for free!  They just want you to invite your friends over to view the videos with you.  It sounds really fun.  If you want to learn more about, check out turbojam.housparty.com (there is no http://www )   It's a great way to view the videos before you commit to buying them.

Hello Everyone,

I have real most of your postings on here and was wondering if anyone has tried the "maximum results, turbo jam?"  I am wondering if I did wrong since I got the "maximum results" first instead of getting the old turbo jam.

Hey everyone and WELCOME to the new people.  Sorry that I have been out of the loop for a while.  I so don't like the time change.  Still keeping up with TJ and am LOVING the latest TJ DVDs.   They're awesome!!  I tried on my low-rider jeans (that I love but couldn't wear) and got them on this weekend without any circulation being cut off.  That's 4 pant sizes since January (despite the month of almost no working out due to the ankle injury and outrageous - eating out daily eating).  Did I mention I LOVE TJ?  :D

Apparently BB's express delivery is really long.  I received mine in 7 business days.  However, I think the main problem is TJ's success - BB just wasn't prepared for it.  I hope everyone receives their TJ soon.

Sorry to cut this short but must get my little one off to bed.  I wish everyone the best of health.

Hi everyone, I just ordered Turbo Jam the other day for myself and my mother. Last year I was 352lbs., now I am 300 lbs.  I was using walk away the pounds for a while and it worked, but only for so long, until I hit a plateau. I was never this big before, I used to work out almost everyday, but over the last few years my weight just kept increasing. It peaked after I had my son last year. I dont have diabetes (yet). I figure I am just lucky in that aspect and better do something before my luck runs out. I got medically cleared to start this program so I am excited.

Hey, Catrenia....do you work out every day???  You said you'd dropped  4 sizes.  Just curious if you do  TJ everyday (except  for the time  out for the ankle).

Hi Everyone

I'm new to the site. I saw the commercials for Turbo Jam. It seems really good. Heres the problem...I find it too expensive. Is there anyone looking to get rid of theirs? I'm in Canada too...

still waiting for my DVDs.... I was told I would get them this week, since everything was delayed due to power outages. We shall see.

In the meanwhile, I've been using the website to help me track my calories and whatnot. Interesting stuff. They have a really extensive foods list and meal plans. Turns out I was only eating approximately 12-1300 calories a day, which is definately not enough for someone my size. I will keep everyone posted.

WOW...6 days a week...don't know if I will be able to manage that but will at least give it a shot as I feel this is my last ditch hope to  lose some weight.  Two little babies to keep up with.  One is almost 2 1/2 and the other almost 1.   Now I need to go and check out what exactly I'm getting with the package I paid for WHICH IS STILL NOT HERE >>>>>>>>>>>AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.

lately I've been doing about 2 TJ's per day, going to the gym for up to an hour about 5 times a week (kind of a Curves set up, minus the bad diet) and running... I played tennis an hour or two 6 days a week while in California, but being back in Australia and apart from my fiance/tennis partner, that doesnt happen. I have just the basic original TJ package, and my weekly routine goes something like this:

Monday : Cardio Party + Ab Jam
Tuesday : Total Body + 20 minute Jam
Wednesday : Cardio Party 2 + Lower Body Jam
Thursday : 20 Minute Jam + Ab Jam + Lower Body Jam
Friday : Cardio Party 1 + 2
Saturday : Total Body + Cardio Party 2
Sunday : Total Body

I use 3 pound weights in all workouts which require them.

I'm 5'2 and now 122lbs.... So I'm pretty much happy, just getting rid of those last few flabby bits and definately maintaining... being overweight (not obese... just overweight) runs in my family... So I really work hard to stay smaller than my genes want me to be... and it really does take that much exercise.... even with a good diet. I was about 140lbs when I started TJ in March and a 9 - 11 US size... now I'm down to about a 5... or AUS 8....

I'm so proud of my weightloss and strongly recommend TJ to anyone considering it.
Hannah :)

I should add that I don't recomend diving straight into my schedual.... if you're new to working out, it will be too much... The package comes with a booklet with a Beginner and Advanced schedual done for you... mine is probably Advanced Adavanced lol... and remember to bend those knees, life those feet and take care :)

Well, I finally got my TJ package last night, IM SO EXCITED! I woke up early this morning to do the Learn and Burn, and am going to try the 20 Minute workout this evening. I was surprised that I started to sweat a little after the 15 minute Learn and Burn workout segment.

I've been using the website for meal planning and tracking my calories. I don't know if I will do the 10lbs in 10 days slim down plan. It would be pretty hard for me, considering that I don't have the time to prepare the food. Does anyone have any good store-bought alternatives to the protein shakes? My office doesn't have a fridge or a blender. I have a water cooler, and thats what I have to work with for now.

And Happy Wednesday.... it's halfway to Friday!

Hi Everyone!  It is so awesome to see so many people that enjoy Turbojam.  My Sister and I ordered it together...because it looked like fun, and that is what we needed.

I really enjoy reading about everyone's progress--so we thought we would post ours too...as we will be doing everything together (we live together), and everyone could kinda see how it may be different for some people.

When we were younger, my sister had a more athletic type body (not too curvy; but trim); I was very curvy (10" difference between waist and hip measurement). We haven't taken our current measurements yet, but will over the weekend...since a lot of comments were made about inches -vs- pounds.  I am 31 (as of the 17th) and Tina is 29.  We both have 2 kids about the same ages.

As of Today (Pre- TurboJam):

Misty = 160 lbs - 5'4"  (help Me! i weighed this (overblown pregnancy) when I gave birth to my son 6 yrs ago!)

Tina = 159 lbs - 5'1"

So anyway; we can't wait to get started...everyone here has us PUMPED!

On a side note about ordering--we ordered over the phone through CS; there were some high pressure tactics to order more products...they even said that the people on the commercial had used ALL of the stuff...not just the basic package.  I resisted pretty well...because i wanted to try it out--I know if we like it as much as everyone on here does---we will definitely order more, i just didn't want to dive in financially until I knew it was the workout for me.  Well, to make a long story short--the package didn't arrive within the promised time (upgraded express shipping) and in fact it took 2 weeks for the charge to even show.  When I called CS to find out what was going on--they confirmed the above that their were serious technical difficulties that delayed 20,000 orders.  They stated they would be refunding half of the shipping cost (I didn't ask....they offered).  So all in all...it was a little late in arriving; but no big deal really.  We are just anxious to get moving.

Thanks everyone for posting your experiences---it truly is a great way to keep us all rearing to go!

See ya soon,

:)Misty (and Tina)

OK... so here's the deal:

I got my TJ on Tuesday, woke up early Wednesday to do the Learn and Burn, loved it so much  (and it wasn't really that taxing on me, since I'm not a true beginner), that when I got home, I did the 20 minute workout. I LOVE IT! I didn't want to stop, but I feel it in my lower back. I had a back injury a few years ago, and get a bit sensative, but I'm hoping I will get stronger with use.

So I was a bit sore in my back, obliques, and abs this morning, and can't wait to get home from work and do TJ!

Hi,

I just joined the forum (I'm waiting for delivery of my DVDs) and read your posting.  I used to use the Herbalife products and found them good.  (No, I don't sell the stuff).  You can find them just about anywhere on the internet.  They taste good and can be mixed with a shaker that arrives with your first order - just add water.  Hope this helps.

Thanks, Misty, for the note about shipping -- it's been exactly two weeks since I placed the order for Turbo Jam. :(   The first charge finally showed on my bank account a couple days ago.  Still no email that my package has been shipped, though.  But since you say that's normal for right now, then I'm going to do my best to be patient.  I wish they'd do a news release or something -- would be interesting to at least see how their numbers have jumped. :)

Oh yes, and good job to: kellyoniel, Hannah, Misty and Tina, jessynergy, and Catrenia!

Hello, All!!
I found this website while anxiously awaiting my Turbo Jam DVD's. I have been doing Weight Watchers for about 2 months, but was getting bored with my workout and wanted to try the ab workout especially. I have a post-baby belly from 4 and a half years ago that I would love to lose.
I ordered Turbo jam about a week ago and it hasn't posted to my account yet. It sounds like their customer service is pretty poor.  How many of you actually got shipping confirmation? Did confirmation come from Beach Body or UPS?
Who works out in the AM, who works out in the PM? Why do you prefer one or the other? I have been doing a PM workout after the kids are tucked in, but if I'm really going to sweat, I might do the AM to avoid a second shower...only so much time in the day:(.
I look forward to hearing from you, I'm glad to be on board:)!

:) hello everyone!!!!

i just started turbo jam last week and love it so far.

i am not the type of person who likes exercise so hopefully i can keep it up.

one thing i do want to say is i had no problems with ordering or waiting for my products to arrive.

i live in canada and paid a bit more for ups to deliver but it was worth it.

i received the dvds in a week!

i need to lose about 30 pounds but would be happy with inches.

hope all is well with everyone.

The Turbo Jam invoice finally posted to my credit card. I am waiting to see when it arrives. It's been a little over a week since I ordered the set.

About the protein shakes...I haven't heard of them causing acne, but sometimes they contain an ingredient that you may be allergic to. Frequently food allergies can cause skin infections that mimic acne. Have you had any other dietary or food changes? Any changes in soap, cleanser, shampoo can also cause breakouts, especially if you are bathing more frequently after exercising. Read the ingredient list carefully. You may want to mention it to your physician if you are certain it's from the shakes.

I have more acne recenly as well, but I suspect it is from a complete diet/lifestyle change and sweating more due to a return to routine exercise. Hope this info helps.

i hadn't done anything differently. i purchased tj so i could lose the weight because my products weren't working. i notified my company but have not had a response yet.

i am sure there is something in it not agreeing with me.

oh well....tj to the rescue!!!!

i am on the 20 minute workout and boy does it make you sweat...and cry and laugh.

i have been at tj for a week now so we will see some results soon...i hope.

thanks again

Is there anyone who has done taebo in the past, but prefer turbo jam? If so, why? I have seen the informercial on tv and it looked convincing. It seem similar to taebo, but there is something about it that interests me more. Ordered a week ago, but yet to receive my shipment.

I got my dvd's today. Well technically, since it's past midnight,I got them yesterday. :) I was doing the Learn and Burn and I was actually having fun. I really didn't think it would be as fun as it looked, it definitely is. My son who is 1 was laughing at me as I did it. A good workout and child entertainment, good deal :D. I tried to post earlier but I was having problems loading the site, anyone else have that problem?

Well I got my Turbo Jam about two weeks ago, and I have to say I love it! The 20-minute video is my favorite because its high intensity, quick, and perfect for a college student. I'm 22 y/o, 5'4", and 125 lbs. I am not really looking to lose that much weight, maybe about 4-7 lbs, but I am more interested in losing my gut, the flabby legs and arms, and hopefully be able to put on pants and see my hip bone above them...So far I've been doing them faithfully, skip one day here or there when my back or abs are sore. I don't think I'm doing the tuck right because everytime I do, my back muscles start to hurt. :( I have been following the recommended schedule, however, since last weekend, I just did the cardio party and the 20 minute yesterday. No inch change as of yet, and I'm getting a little worried that I'm screwing things up. Any advice? Thanks!:star:

I couldn't load the site last night either. Still awaiting my TJ DVD's. Hopefully tonight I'll get to start. I'm interested in seeing the diet plan. Thursday is my regular shopping night, so I won't be able to shop for menu items until next week even if my order arrives.:(

Thanks. Can't fix it if I don't know it's broken.

Still no TJ package. Hopefully today. If they don't arrive today, Monday will be two weeks since I ordered them. Not exactly express shipping.:dizzy:

I've been keepng track of weight loss to date. I measured pre-turbo Jam. I'll post the numbers when I start TJ. I have been dieting and exercising for a little over 2 months, so I don't expect the dramatically quick results in the infomercial. I'll be pleased with the program if it gets me moving and I can see toning. Beach season is coming. I don't want to wear the suit I wore last summer!!!
