I have been trying to banish the #%@&! I eat at the cinema. heres what I took with me last time:
Sliced Apples
Carrot sticks
raw hazlenuts, walnuts & macadamias (only a small handful)
Chocolate coated gogi berries
I did buy a small popcorn & a bottle of water while I was there but as I understand it popcorn is very low cal...the problem is the salt. (I shared the popcorn with my bf anyway)
I was actually so full after the movie I didn't eat any dinner.

Wow that looks great! That's how we all should do it. I usually just buy an ice-tea or something which is pretty low cal, but I am not the biggest movie muncher.

I am the HUGEST movie mucher...like theres no point seeing a movie if I can't snack the whole way through!
I can stay away from the sugary drinks though but my boyfriend compulsively orders the largest size frozen coke available. I keep asking why he just can't get a small one & avoid the 25tsp of sugar in the large one but he just wont do it.
So annoying!

Well my understanding differs somewhat. Unlike the air-popped popcorn you can make at home (well, if you have an air-popper, anyhow!) the kind you get at the movies has oil or butter and this rather changes the makeup. (if anyone knows differently please reply!)

My sis used to work at Regal Cinemas corporate office, here in Knoxville. She knew the guy that was over concessions for the company, and he said that he refused to sell any concession unless he made a 300% return. Craziness...
In any case, most theaters have a policy where you are not allowed to bring your own food. If you do, be careful to hide it. Of course, for those who use purses, that's much easier.

I'm tricksy, I do hide it in my big handbag but on the rare occasion they do find my snacks I say I have a lot of food allergies & can't eat thier food. They always let me keep my stuff!

| Yeah that is a major weakness for me. I feel like eating buttered popcorn and icecream. I've tried bringing better snacks but I still end up eating from my brother's popcorn. It's a bad habit. Movies=junkfood feista! hehe
