I think it depends alot on the brand of soy milk, almond milk, etc. I personally drink soy milk because my tummy has issues with too much dairy. The key is to look for the nonfat versions (or at the very least low fat). Otherwise the fat content can be pretty high. Check your food labels!
you can also get it in fat free. or you can get the kind that has omega 3 fat in it and that is supposed to help you lose weight. personally, i like 8th continent. get the light kind and you're talking 50 cals per cup. amazing! get the vanilla flavored kind (my fav!) and it's only 60 cals per cup. it's deliscious, too!
