They any good for you? like how much cals approx. I couldnt tell but i got coupons for them at whole-sale so should i buy them and use them as my dinner?

Generally speaking, such processed foods include constituents that you would not wish to ingest frequently.

Check the label. Is it high in fat? (Remember that fat grams contain 9 calories each, so something that's 20% fat by weight is actually over 40% fat by calories!).

Does it contain lots of sugar (as do many 'low fat' foods aimed at dieters).

Does it contain a reasonable amount of protein (say 20%+ of calories).

How many additives are there? Colorants, emulsifiers, stabilizers....

As an occasional convenience meal, such foods are fine. But you should still calculate them into your overall eating plan, just to check you're still on track.

BTW - if the label doesn't give you all that information, then don't buy or eat the product anyway. The manufacturer is rarely coy about ingredients for no reason!

Granting that Lean Quisine, Healthy Choice and the Lean Pockets are not ideal, I have managed to wean my husband off of choices that were much worse (and ended with angioplasty and 3 stents). 

I think that sometimes, a balance between what is optimal and what is do-able is necessary.  If I send him to work with two lean pockets, and (usually) a Healthy Choice (I think they're better), plus water and other snacks, he's better off than double cheeseburgers, fries...not to mention two eggs, sausage or bacon and hashbrowns cooked in what is politely termed the "coach."

He *does* get healthy stuff here...
