I don't know about the rest of it, but to my understanding (which could be wrong) red dye #40 can cause allergic reactions. My sister is allergic. (And if I'm right, you probably *don't* want to know what it comes from.)

| maltodextrin and aspartame both give me sotmache aches, cause bloating, and gas. my entire body sort of poofs up when ever i hae artificial sweeteners such as these. my legs, arms and tummy all get bigger due to the chemicals, but it generally goes away after a day or so. yeah, i have to stop consuming it. i swear, spenda is probably more addictive than cigs.

Many of those ingredients you listed for Crystal Light are synthetic - made in a chemistry lab. They are artificial. The body is not designed to process or digest synthetics. Its like eating plastic. Can we digest plastic? These ingredients are known to cause addictions, allergies, and some researchers have even claimed ... weight gain. Just because something is low in calories doesn't mean its necessarily good for you.
Drink and eat things that come from the good earth. Anything manufactured artificially is unnatural and consequently bad on the body. A glass of water mixed with squeezed lemon juice (from a real lemon - not lemon juice from an imitation plastic bottle) can be just as yummy as Crystal Light. Or, buy some frozen berries and mix them with sparkling water. For a sweet addition, add cane sugar or honey. How about just juice? A glass of orange juice, iced tea? Again, anything natural is always good for you and can't harm you in the end.
I don't drink soft drinks but I think even they have "less" bad stuff than Crystal Light.
As I always say ... if you can't pronounce it, don't eat/drink it. If you don't know what an ingredient is, research it first before taking it in.
Remember, for thousands of years human beings ate naturally. Nothing was manufactured artificially - why do we need to do so today?
Trust me, the less you take in these ingredients, the better you will feel. The less "addicted" you will be to them.
