I'm starting The HCG diet in the morning.I will be doing the daily subQ injections.I'm feeling very optimistic. Here's my issue.Let's say i've done great and remained on the diet for the maximum number of days(doing the injections daily) allowed with the protocol. Can I continue on with the protocol using sublingual HCG without waiting six weeks in between cycles?I read that with sublingual HCG you don't develop an immunity to the HCG, so you can continue to take it until you reach your goal.I've already purchased the injectable HCG  and don't want to waste my money.I have a good amount of weight to release. So, I'll need to do multiple cycles.I usually do good on strict or structured diets. My problem has always been on the maintenance phase.I'd like not have to worry about maintenance until I reach my goal.Hoping that maybe reaching my goal will be encouragement to stay focused.I'd appreciate any advice anyone can give me on doing the protocol itself and to this specific issue. Thanks in advance.

Hello Terree,

I also started HCG.  I started on July 25, 2009 and I am doing sublingual.  To answer your question you pretty much have to stop for six weeks in between your rounds.  I purchased the Trudeau book and it explains everything.  According to what I have read and speaking with mama klok on you tube you have to take a break.  She did not take the appropriate breaks and she feels that it slowed down the progress of her weight loss. How much have you lost thus far?  I have lost 14 pounds and counting.  Today is my 15th day.

Hello Josh,

I do not know of any tablets for HCG.  Even if there were I would be skeptical.  I have lost 45lbs and would like to lose another 40lbs.  The first time I used it sublingual and now I am going to do the injections, just to switch it up a little.  Josh if you have any additional questions please feel free to let me know.

I have been doing the HCG injections and my doctor recom'd 1300 calories with no dairy products. Weight loss has been slow. He also told me no diet cokes due to the sodium.

I wondered if anyone on the HCG injections knows if on occasion it is ok to have red wine or a light beer? Open to any suggestions to get the weight off quicker!!! I am 5ft.5 in. - 180 pounds. - 40 yrs. old Thanks so much!

Are you using the injections or the drops? Have you had a good success rate?

Good Morning,

I used the drops on my first round.  The second round I am going to use the injections, I want to know how both works so if someone asks me I can tell them. Have a great day.  Yes,  my success rate was just as the doctor said.  I lost about 1 lb a day unless I cheated.

Lady G,

Have you notice any difference between the drops and the injections?   I did the injections for the first.  I heard that for the drops to have to be really strict of the time for the meals, is it difficult?
But also notice more weight loss in our friend that did the drops, although she has been really good at the plan.   But she have never done injections so she does not know the difference.
Which one you like better, drops or injections?

I also have a quick question can we exercise on the weeks we are off the plan?  I have a lot to lose so want to help a little.. lol.

I started the HCG injections 2 months ago and wasn't following the diet plan. So I gained 5 lbs. Now I'm back with my injections and is on my 3rd day. I lost 3 lbs so far, but I think it's because I'm not eating like I should. I'm to scared to eat cause I just don't know how to start. On the strict diet plan it asks to drink black coffee and eat types so sea food and chicken breast. I don't like any of that. Just need help on how to start my morning and lunch.

I am really considering this diet due to my insane work schedule and the fact that my main problem is consuming too little calories which has severely slowed down my metabolism. I think this would work well for me considering its a VLC diet and consuming 500 or even 800 a day would work out perfectly for me(without slamming my metabolism in the process).

I want to loose 12-15 lbs and no more. Is this ok to do for that amount of weightloss? I wouldn't be looking into it if something else worked, but my metabolism and hormones are a HUGE problem in my weight loss and i've never been able to get down to where I need to be with ANYTHING I've tried.

Also, there are some clinics around here that you can go to and get on a plan with a doctor who does everything for you. Not sure how expensive it is, but would it be better going to a clinic or just purchasing everything and doing it yourself at home. I dont mind the injections, I would do either one. I just want to make sure it would be safe for me to do.

Im 27. 5.5ft and 143lbs...goal weight 128-130lbs

thanks for anyones help =)

By now you have probably finished the second round with the injections. I am just starting on the drops an have been reading some not very flattering reports about the drops being a scam. Did you notice any difference between the drops and the injections? Thanks for you time.

@ Lglass  I think it depends more where you get the drops, there are lot of cheap ones on ebay, not sure how good they are.  But I  am doing the injections along with some other friends, and we also have one friend that is doing the drops.  She has lost more weight than us with the injections.  So here drops are working really good.  I just ordered the drops, cause I as well want to know the difference between both.

@ sitori   As you I have tried evrything but haven't been able to stick to anything, But this plan is really working for me and all our friends.  The great thing is that no matter how much weight each of us need to lose, some a lot some just 5 to 10lb, we all lose at the same average, given that we do no cheat.

Clinics are more expensive but is word checking.  What I did is that I went to my own doctor, told him I was doing this HCG protocol, so I needed a complete physical, so I knew how my body was in the beginning of the diet, then if something happen, he will be able to control my changes.  But I have been great.  I am doing now my second round and havent had any major side effects. Only some headaches at the very beginning of the first round, and every now and then a little constipation, but rather than that.  I feel great!!!

If you want more info in how i ordered it, send me a message and I will be more than happy to share.

I am on day 8 and have only lost 6.5 pounds. I am not cheating. My drops are from a clinic. I have 80 pounds to lose so I am looking for suggestions to speed this up. I expected to lose at least 20 pounds but now concerned it will be less. I am a 55 year old female serial yoyo dieter and I am terrified if doing something wrong because I want this to work so badly to give me some hope. Suggestions? Thanks for this website and the support!

@ lglass if you have not  cheated look for other things that maybe slowing you down.  Bar of Soap, deodorant with oils, moisturizer,  shampoo, conditioner, tooth paste with sugar...  etc.
Are you drinking enough water?
We have notice than in the first round people lose faster than in the second and third, which could be disappointing when you are used to lose 1lb or more per day,  but whatever amount you are losing, means you are losing and that is a big success.
I also have to lose around 70lbs, so we are on the same boat =)
I could not say much as I just  cheated bad 2 days in a row, but I am back on track and taking it one day at a time =)

Oh great!!  I am doing good with my apple day.  I actually like them, I can hardly finish all the 6 apples.  I am at 3 1/2 and lots of water.  For dinner I bake them with Stevia and Cinnamon.  Gooood.  But only ate one, maybe later when I get hungry again I will eat another one.  Hopefully I lose something tomorrow.  As I have notice that after I cheat, it is really slow for the next 4-6 days to lose weight.   Depending on the result tomorrow, I might repeat the apple day!!

To what dose you increase the drops?

sorry I didn't see your question before. I am taking 15 drops 4times a day. I really like the drops except for having to schedule brushing my teeth (eith an hour before an hour after the dose).

Today at 11 I have an appt at the clinic to start the diet. When I called to inquire the doc was super nice. This program is a little more than I wanted to ospend but its one flat fee and I can keep going back for lifetime maintenance, if I need more meds after my initial supply the doc calls a prescription in to the pharmacy so taking that into consideration.. its not bad. It's also a freaking ton less than slimgenics which I failed miserably. Great program, doesn't work for me.. like most of them. The doctor is a ob/gyn who has used this program, so I really like that.

So my question is.. for those of you who dislike needles how do you deal? I have a strong aversion to needles and I know they are small but its not the size its the needle. Itself. Thanks!

Ok guys, today at 11 am I go to the hcg clinic to meet with the doctor for the first time to get started with this diet. I'm nervous, I won't lie.. mostly because of the cost and the thought of the injections. But when I really put it into perspective I did slimgenics (major fail) and spent oodles and oodles more on that. And best part is the doc is an ob/gyn who has used this in the past.. both of which I find to be a bonus.

As for the needles, oy vey! How did any of you with a strong aversion to needles get over it? I know it is small but its the needle itself not the size.. yikes!

My appointment went well I was surprised to have been given the option of injections, drops, tablets or cream. The doctor said all work equally well and are equally strong he has the drops, cream and tablets compounded by a local pharmacy. He said the only problem he runs into is with the cream in the summer is people going in the water too soon or something like that.

I got the drops. He said make up and lotions are just fine, I'm going to trust him but read a lot saying the opposit. I also read a lot about loading days and he said to eat normal for for first two.. I dunno.. he is a doctor and a hcg user so its not like he's qualified to dole out the advice ;)

Wish me luck tomorrow is day one on the drops and the normal calorie days. I will also be walking my dog for my exercise.. nothing to strenuous!

Did you read the "Pounds and Inches" book??? You should really read the protocol. I dont know if you know about it but its basically from the inventor of the diet and he says how you have to follow it to a T in order for it to work correctly. Saying you MUST preload 3 days with the most fattening foods possible or else once you start the 500 calorie diet youll end up feeling like #%@&! and really hungry bc your body doesnt have enough fresh fat deposits to take from.

Some clinics say its ok to eat 800 calories instead of 500 but he says absolutely not and most people agree even if you go over 500 by a few calories, youll gain a pound or 2. Plus the same thing goes for the lotions and soaps.

You can read the protocol book at hcgcoach.com plus theres loads of info and a forum. The coach there would also tell you what this clinic is telling you is going to hinder your results. I was going to go to a clinic as well but its expensive and easy to do yourself, plus i think they tell you its ok for certain things when its really not to hold you back in order to keep you there longer...more money for them!!

So Id def go read up on it. That website is amazing and also has tons to order from. Thats where ill be getting my stuff as soon as i get some money together. They even have super starter kits with everything youd need. Its great! And if you need to ask questions you just fill out the contact form and put your question in and she answers immediately.

Anyway good luck !!
