Hi everyone. I have been very moved by all the posts placed here by earnest people struggling with losing weight. I have been in your shoes. I thought I would tell you my story of success and hopefully it will help some of you.
I am 53 yrs old. I was in pretty good shape in high school and over the next 35 yrs I gradually gained 65 lbs. I yo-yoed through the years. I got back in really good shape when I was 36 then I got married. I’ve tried every diet imaginable, even the “just eat less” program. I had some success with all of them but I couldn’t stick with them or I couldn’t keep the weight off. I would lose 5 and gain back 10… lose 10 and gain back 15… and so on. My weakness is carbs. I love pasta, desert, bread, fast food (I could live at Taco Bell and Schlotzsky!). I could never just eat one donut. If I ate one, I ate 10. If I ate 1 cookie, I ate 12. etc.
I heard about the cookie diet in 2008. I did a little research and found the R&D Diet Cookie. It fit my budget better than any of the others. I thought I would give it an honest try. I have basically been on the R&D cookie diet, or some form of it, since. I lost a total of 50 lbs. My goal was to become a size 8 again and I made it in 3 months. I lost 20 lbs the first month, 15 the second month, and my last 15 the third month. I had to work a little harder at it the 3rd month but I was so close it was worth it. I have kept the weight off for 10 months. It has been pretty effortless. I still eat 1 or 2 cookies each day simply to maintain control and because I like the way I feel when I eat them. I could probably quit them completely but I feel no need to.
I’ve never been much for working out. I don’t like to exercise. I try to walk and keep active. After I lost about half the weight I started working out a little because it simply felt good! I also started eating better. While I was losing the weight I made sure my evening meal was healthy and balanced. I am happy and I feel better than I ever have!
I encourage all of you who are starting out, or any of you who have been at it for a while and have more to lose. This program works!! You can and will do it as long as you put your mind to it - and you can even cheat once a month. We are all human and need to do that every once in a while. Don't beat yourself up - just know what you are doing. You will stop - just remember what you looked like and felt like on day one and how far you have come. That always works for me.
And, if you don't exercise, start walking today - the spring is a wonderful time to begin. You will feel so great once you do. And keep the bad carbs out of your life - no bread, no pasta, no potatoes, no sugar, etc - that's the biggest problem with our society. Eat lots of plant based foods, leave out the added fat (no butter or mayo).
I am in the best shape I have EVER been in… I have a great plan… I am in great health and have a great attitude… thanks to the R&D Diet Cookie!
Here’s a note to all of the people out there who trash a program such as this… you are only discouraging the good people who are working hard at losing weight and you are hurting them in the process. Go preach to someone who hasn’t found something that really works. But don’t tell any one of us that what we are doing is wrong. We know it works because we have done it and you don’t know what you are talking about!

| Way to go Sandra! I wanted to post here to say that I too found the R and D Diet Cookie. I lost 30 lbs right away and I have to admit it was pretty easy! It was such a relief to find someone who was telling me quick weight loss was OK and maybe even better than trying something slow. I took a 3 month break (and kept the weight off). I just started them seriously again in order to lose my last 20 lbs. The hardest thing was to change my way of thinking that rapid weight loss is bad for you. I feel like I've been brainwashed all my life!

The R&D Diet Cookie ... Keeps you from craving foods Keeps you from obsessing over food Boosts your energy Contains NO ingredients that promote hunger! Doesn't keep you up at night Has NO side effects Is completely safe because it is a FOOD... not a drug!

I found this post with some bit of searching, and even though it's pretty old, I was wondering if you all had any update on this diet? Has it helped in keeping the weight off?
I try to stick to excercising for weight loss but find it hard to keep it off when life becomes overworked and stressful. The biggest problem I find is my body tends to compensate for the lack of excercising (with extra baggage) yet still wants the additional protein and energy. I know, I shouldn't just "stop" excercising all of a sudden, but sometimes life isn't perfect.
Will be looking forward to any additional comments you all have!

Hi Koprime,
I can recommend the R&D Diet Cookies. I'm on them now and I love them. I tend to lose about 10 lbs then coast for about a week then lose 10 more. Best thing is that I'm not yo-yo-ing! AND, I'm not gaining the weight back when I "coast". They are easy to fit into my lifestyle so it's pretty easy. Try them. I think you will like 'em!

Yes, koprime, I have kept the weight off! The R&D Diet Cookie was my savior! I lost the 50 lbs I wanted to lose and it's been off for almost a year. I use the cookies now and then (maybe 3 or 4 days every 3 or 4 months) just to get back in control of my eating because... even tho' I lost the weight and... even tho' we all know how to eat healthy... I'm still me and I still love food!
I can't say enough good things about this program and the people who developed it! They also taste great and have a number of flavors so I never get tired of them.

It looks like it's been about a year so I wanted to give an update... I went off the cookies over the holidays (about the end of October) and did ok until about mid-December. The weight started creeping back on and I was just totally out of control. Ended up gaining 12 lbs but I went back on the cookies the first of January and lost those 12 lbs by Valentines Day! I use them now and then as maintenance and the weight is still off. I think they are just great! It's like they were designed for me.

Hi Koprime,
Sorry I haven't been here for a while. Yes, I have kept the weight off. I simply did not go back to the way I was eating b4 I lost it. The cookies have helped me stay in control and make better choices. I still get to eat my favorites occasionally. I just don't go overboard any more. I still order the cookies now and then but I don't eat them every day anymore.
