I searched and searched for the right 'diet' for me and my lifestyle and even ended up (like a fool) buying a silly con diet from the net called 18in4! doesnt work by the way! Finally i found something i was comfortable with and its a healthy eating and excercise programme by a diet and fitness expert called Rosemary Conely. The food is healthy, filling and doesnt take ages to put together which is what I wanted...She also has fitness DVD's which I have and follow and am also waiting for her GI Hip and Thigh Diet book to be delivered to me (which I can review for those interested once I have read it and tried it) - I also plan my meals from Rosemary Conely low fat cook book, because otherwise I am a lousy cook! 
An example of my daily food consists of (sorry if oyu dont understand certain brands as I am in the UK)
Breakfast - Grapefruit, Boiled egg, slice of wholemeal toast
Mid Morning snack - WW yoghurt
Lunch - wholemeal Pitta bread filled with low fat cottage cheese, lettuce and sweetcorn
Mid afternoon snack - Ryvita with pumkin seeds
Dinner - Rump steak with unlimited veg, boiled potatoes and salad
Plus 8 glasses of water a day, also allowed coffee, tea, diet sodas
This is just one day - it does vary quite a lot so isnt too boring. I usually write out a weekly 'menu' on saturday and sunday do all grocery shopping for the whole week - With me it works to have it all written i.e. what I am having for B, L, D each day otherwise I would just eat whatever.
