Hey,

I was just wondering, is Jarod the real deal? Can you eat their sandwiches and lose weight?

I saw a documentary on him and it's an amazing story. He was morbidly obese and lived by a Subway and got the idea and the story goes on...

To answer your question, you can live on cheesecake and lose weight if you eat little enough:

the subway diet does work, but only if you eat the right sandwiches. ask the people behind the counter they know all about it (i work at a subway and we get told what we need to let people know). just don't have cheese or sauces and the calorie content is what it says on the website. the only mayo we use is light mayo and the ranch sauce has very little carbs... when im working i have a footlong veggie delite with no cheese and no sauce, it ends up being 420cals which i think rocks for a footlong!! i normally have wheat bread too because it has more fibre.

Subway sandwiches are delicious and so filling!

I love the fact that subway are out to promote more of a healthy fast-food, and not being afraid to show how many cals their sandwiches have.

I honestly don't get the point of the subway diet not only is it expensive but the calories aren't great and it's not fullfilling... 400 calories for veggies and bread

Fanta with the subway diet, they dont suggest that is all you eat.  Its all about compromise.. instead of having fatty KFC, or some other burger shop food, basically your swapping over to a subway sandwich or wrap instead.. perhaps if u work for example and get fast food for lunch, then go to subway instead.. yes it is expensive, but so is everything that u buy from a Take away shop.. in fact.. even fruit and vegetables are expensive here where i live.

there has been rumors around our town they are putting in a subway.. and i cant wait!!

210 calories for veggies and bread actually. and 60 calories for just the salad. plus it tastes great and the veggie delite (the 210 cal one) is only 2 pounds in the uk.

Whenever I'm on the run and need a quick meal Subway is my choice.  I'm a vegetarian anyway so the veggie delight is perfect.  And I hate mayo so I just get mustard and that helps with the calories too.  Load on the spinach too!  Yum!

I eat a fair bit of cheese but always low fat.  Subway cheese is definately NOT low fat, so i always order without cheese and without any sauces.. no marg or butter .. and always on a wholemeal or wheat bun :)

When I'm on the run, I buy a wholemeal roll and a banana.   It's a bit messy, but you can make a tasty and nutritious snack even if you don't have recourse to a knife!

And a tad less expensive than Subway, I'd hazard?  (Don't know, as I've never been there).

i keep wholemeal bread rolls in the freezer .. and buy fruit on the way to work .. i am lucky enough to be on the catering and hospitality industry and fix lunches for people every day.. so i often make myself something out of what they are eating.. (salad rolls or sandwiches with fresh ham or chicken)  they are also given a platter of fruit.. which i can never make all of what i have cut up to fit on .. :yumm:  so of course i have to eat it.. no good wasting it eh

We still dont have our subway store here.. its two hours drive to Subway, so basically i dont have it either .. except once every six months or so when the rest of the family indulge in Maccas .. (ewww)

I eat subway when I am out on the weekends with the wife and kids and dont have time to go home to eat, and we live in Arizona so its freaking hot and food doesnt last long in 100+ temps.

One to two times a week I may eat a 6 in Turkey sub with no sauce or cheese on the Italian bread, less than 300 cals and filling too.
