Hi, im 16, and weighed 195 when my doctor told me i needed to lose weight.  So, my mom got me to the gym, and i currently weigh 183.  But I am also doing weightlifting to bulk up, and drinking more water (doctor recommended 1 cup for every 20 pounds, so 9 cups). Is there any diet where I can still eat fruits, vegetables, grains and protein and still lose weight around the midsection?

I really recommend the eat to live diet.  In essence, you eat primarily fruits/vegetables with a serving of whole grains a day.  You also eat seeds/nuts (for protein/fat) and beans.  You need to read the book to be convinced, but I have more energy than I've had in a long time and the weight just seems to fly off.  Plus, I'm never hungry and don't feel like I'm "starving myself" like I did on normal (restrict how much you eat) diets.

Wow this ETL diet sounds great! I have been doing something close to this on my own for a few weeks now. I restrict a lot so I have to choose only very healthy low cal. food to stay fit.

I getting a copy of this book tomorrow!!!

Thanks! :D
