If you've thrown up the last two times you ran, it sounds like they might be correlated!

I know a woman who gained a lot of weight, the freaked out and started running anywhere from 5 - 17 miles per day to get the weight off (a bit extreme).  She ultimately screwed up her thyroid from overtaxing her body and now she's paying for it with weight being REALLY hard to get off now.

I would say, listen to your body, it never lies!  Your mind may lie like a Persian rug, but the body never does!  If you are vomiting after you run, you probably need to run less or not as hard or as far or something.

Ok, what a weekend...well, it wasn't that exciting but it was nice to have 4 days off work.

Morning weight was 158.6...No comment...but it could have been worse!

Today I decided I am tired of tracking every frickin' calorie I eat and am going to really start listening to my body and when I get the munchies, I am going to eat healthy.  Today so far had yogurt, steel cut oatmeal and been snacking on dried figs and fresh blueberries all morning (only a cup or so).  Not hungry but I just like having something to munch on and they are better than my jar full of peanuts.

Planning on running this afternoon. I really don't feel like it but I am morbidly curious if I will get sick again...and I need to get some exerise to burn off steam...

Ok vent time...

I am a VERY generous person.  If I could have all the money I have loaned out back...it would be thousands of dollars.  I bend over backwards to help my friend and folks out...but it comes to bite me in the butt sometimes (ok, alot).

Case in Point:

We signed the lease for our apartment on 1 Jun.  That same day, a friend of my husband who was moving at the same time we were,  called us and said he was 3  hrs out and if we could watch his cat till he got a place.  We hadn't even moved into our apartment yet!!  I said sure, thinking it was going to be a week or so.  So 1 month later the guy finally gets an apartment!  Evidently it didnt occur to him to save money before he left and couldn't afford a deposit.  Now being so broke, he also did not offer to buy food or litter for said cat.  Now said cat is also very anti-social and hates other cats so she stays locked in our spare bedroom.  I feel horrible about her being alone so much.  So this weekend he got a place and he came over to pick up the cat...only to tell me  he is leaving for 2 months for military training and he was planning on leaving the at in the apartment and have a "buddy" take care of her.  Said "buddy" was a person he met at work a few weeks earlier and when I asked him when the guy would be coming over...i.e. daily? He didn't know.  So I offered to watch the cat for another 2 months.  I am very upset about it.  He is totally just assuming I will do it for him and not making any effort otherwise.  The next thing was his house hold goods delivery.  B/c he took so long to get a place, they are starting to charge him daily to hold his goods.  So he schedules the delivery for Friday and THEN says "Can I ask you one more favor?"  Really now?  So now he wants me to sit in his empty apart and sign for his furniture being delivered.  Oh, and there is $100 check on the counter...oh by the way, that is for the storage guys, oh by the way they only take cash, oh by the way you need to cash said check, oh by the way I left it at the apartment for you, oh by the way I leve 25 miles from you in horrid traffic...ARRRRGGGGHHHH  As it turned out I was planning on taking friday off anyway since hubby is flying out to meet his ship in the Med...but what would he have done if I said I couldn't take the day off?   She he left yesterday...I have his cat...who I am expected to support...

Ok. I need to get back to studying my books.  I am just wound up so time I could through a tantrum of something goes wrong today.

Morning weight was 160.0  I am really hoping it is a TTOM change, otherwise I have a problem!

Yesterday went well, I didn't count calories and it felt good. I made healthy choices and am pretty sure that after my exercise I came in around 1700 net. I had an awesome run and didn't get sick at all; must be something else then, or maybe I didn't push myself as hard.

I am on vacation for 4 days after today. I have to take hubby to the airport then console myself...he is only going to be gone 3 wks though lol. I also have a friend coming up with her two kids for a festival that is going on.

This morning I am having rice cakes (brown rice w/ egg mixed in and then fried up w/ cooking spray) I mixed some flax in there as well and having it with light syrup. They are really filling and last till lunch!

Had a nice weekend, actually took off 4 days total for a visiting friend and her two kids.  Although I think their soul purpose of coming up is for me to take pity on their their financial state (entirely their own doing) and buy the kids their school clothes...$500 later, the kids are outfitted for the next year and so the weekend was expensive after all the wining and dining I took them on.

Morning weight was 157.0!  Woot, guess there was some pms bloat going on.

Hubby is gone for the next 4-6 wks on deployment and so I am going to try and get back into my productive mode again.  Goals:

1) Lose 7 lbs before he gets back
2) Exercise 4 days week
3) Work on my Rosetta Stone 3 days a week
4) Finish 3 vol of my CDCs (currently starting 2nd and pounding the 1st a little deeper into my brain)

So we will see how it goes.

Still taking the thyroid supplements and still fee warmer than usual, especially my hands.  Maybe there really is something to them.  I wonder if they have had anything to do with my weightloss?

Ok, back to "work"  lol  Have to make the next...8hrs 20 min go by somehow :)

This week has gone pretty smoothly it seems...no weight loss, infact this morning came in at 158.2lbs...that is up from monday.  Which is odd b/c I ate pretty badly this weekend.  Maybe I was dehydrated and that lead to some water retention.

I haven't been counting calories and it seems like such a burden lifted off of my shoulders...I still mentally guesstimate though.  Yesterday I came in around 1900 I think b/c I had a lunchtime Drs appt and so Taco Bell was a quick stop before I headed back to work.  No exercise...just some pushups and situps.  So I hope I got some sort of loss going on.

I have a feeling with the route I am taking that I am not going to meet my 7lbs goal, but I will have to just keep that in my head everytime I put something in my mouth.  I have learned though not to buy a bit ol' jar of peanuts and have them sitting at my desk  lol.

Today I am planning on doing a 5k...if the weather holds.  That is, stays cloudy so it doesn't get really hot.  The weather guys have been pretty bad lately and everytime they say it is going to rain...it doesn't.

I have been doing pretty good on my goals...I think I am going to write them down individually.  Like, I want to play piano 3x a week...I am going to write piano down 3x and then cross it off everytime I do it...I am going to do that for all of my goals.

Alrighty then...8.5hrs left in the work day so I better look busy :)

Yeah for payday! My wallet is fat and my scale is showing it :) 159.5 this morning...I hope it is my wallet anyway!

The only thing I can think of that caused it was my run yesterday. I did 3.1 miles...ran the 1st half and started the jog back but was exhausted and the sun came out from behind a cloud and it jumped to well over 90 degrees out there. I was red and hot! Maybe my body is holding onto all the water I drank b/c in does not equal out  Dinner was kinda salty too...frozen chicken chow mien from TJs.

Today I am starting the day off with some special K again...pickings are getting slim but I don't want to shop...I have plenty food, I just need to get creative.

Exercise today is going to be a toning DVD...

I really hope that I see some results soon...my PT test is coming up fast and 140 is out of my reach for that date already unless I do some SERIOUS dieting...think Phase 1 of SB diet for 2 months lol.

Wow, has it really been 5 days? Morning weight was 156.6!

I think I am kinda dehydrated, although I can't imagine why. I did run yesterday but afterwards I had a big glass of green tea. Oh well, we will see how much I can get in today.

The weekend went really well! I am finally in my groove since hubby left and now he is coming back in just 2 weeks! I was hopping to lose 5lbs by the time he got back, but with my slow start, I am now hopping for 3lbs. I finally saw Eclipse and really liked it, I hated the second one. I also made my own lotion scent: cedar/sage/heather/velviter....It smells so woodsy w/ a touch of floral. I love the woods and after seeing the movie I was motivated to try and recreate a nice scent.

On Sat night I went out bar/clubbing with 3 co-workers...I was pretty much he convenient DD...or that is what it felt like anyway. I went out of my way to be as generous as possible with accommodating everyone's wishes. All I got was kept out till 4am and giving random people rides home...long story. I didn't even get a phone call or text the next day asking me if I got home OK or even a thank you! My mother is always scolding me for letting people walk over me...she is right. I need to bring out my inner tough girl...

Oops...gotta go to work!

Morning weight was 157.8lbs.  That is up from  yesterday and while I didn't eat a lot; we did go out for lunch to a Mexican place and I am sure the food was salty.  I didn't snack at all btwn lunch and dinner (just wasn't hungry) and then made two quesadillas for dinner and finished off some rice-a-roni.  I figure I came in right around 2k calories...I guess that is a bit  high.

I planned on doing some toning and got a ballet dancer's toning workout off of netflix...that was a disaster.  I enjoyed the pilates ab work but then they started doing these little combos of dancer moves and that was a serious no go.  I all got out of that was sore butt muscles and a reminder I am so not graceful.  I think JM and I get along the best...no nonsense toning.

Starting another day.  Woke up with full blown allergies and HUNGRY!  Feeling like c.rap I went to Panera and got a bagel and coffee to start the day...not a good start but I guess I will just have to be conscience of what I eat all day.

Morning weight is 157.4 (down).

Yesterday was a weird one. I ate bagels all day...seriously! I didn't even eat lunch b/c I snacked all day. For dinner I was planning on a slimfast as I had to get to a meeting around dinner time and there was going to be traffic. But I found time to have a frozen dinner instead and then after the meeting, I came home and played the piano to keep my mind off of snacking.

Today I am feeling a bit down in the dumps. My allergies are still sucking but at least I OD'd on benadryl last night and could actually sleep.

I am hungry this morning...having cereal. Today I want a big breakfast...hashbrowns, egg, sausage...the works. But alas, the cupboards are thinning out. Which is the plan...eat all the stuff that has been sitting around and been too lazy to eat. I plan to restock when hubby gets home.

I want to exercise today but not sure what I want to do. I need to do some extra toning after my disaster on Tues but I also want to a long run. Problem is, it is still soooo HOT! It was 95 degrees at 7:30 at night yesterday! Normally I run right after work, but if I do that it will be on a treadmill...I can wait till at least the sun sets and it will still be hot but no blazing...but then I have to wait and Iose my motivation quickly.

We will see...Supposed to go to an awards luncheon today...will probably get bumped for someone more important though...Panera had some nice looking salads...

Morning weight was 156.8! (down) I think again that is a bit dehydration b/c at (I am so proud of myself for this) 7:30pm I drove to a running path and ran 3.2 miles! Now mind you it took me 41:21min and I would like to do it under 36 min one day...but the point is I was out there. I really do need to pick up the speed a bit b/c in less than 2 months I need to run 1.5 miles in <15 min. I am going to work o sprints on the treadmill next week.

Yesterday was OK. Felt in the dumps all day and everyone at work was almost kinda nasty to me...didn't say anything but just their complete ignoring of me. I think it I have to come to terms that the people in my office are just NOT friendly or I am not their type and I need to move on to a different social network...but where? I have the spouses club but with the ship so close to come home, the spouses tend to go there separate ways again.

Today I should so some toning...I am thinking I will do an impromptu workout and not some structured 30 min deal...it's friday!

Breakfast was Weight control oatmeal with fresh blue berries and fat free half and half.

now off two work...

Monday morning weight was 156.8 (same)  I guess I can't complain for a post-weekend weigh in :)  I need to measure myself, but I don't think I  have lost enough for that yet.

The weekend went well, I was so exahusted from the week for some reason.  Sunday I saw The Sorcerers Apprentice and really enjoyed it.   It was a fun movie.  Also had dinner at the theater and I splurged.  The rest of the weekend I had egg/potato/bacon that I had picked up at the Farmer's Market on Sat AM and had leftovers to last me 3 meals.  Dinner last night was a whole box of Mac-n-cheese...not th best choice but it didnt' put me over on calories.  Especially with all the cleaning that I did.  I have determined that I am not exactly overly thrilled with my steam mop...It cleans smooth surfaces but sucks at grout and the pad doesn't pick up anything the steam doesnt disolve.  So you either need to sweep/vac before mopping or pick up the stuff in the corners it leaves.

I hope to make this week as productive as possible.  Hubby comes home next week and so I really want to enjoy this last week of "me" time.  I want to get some really good piano in and exercise.  I think the Rosetta Stone is going to go the way of the dinos; I just don't have the patiences...even though I think it would be nice to speak spanish.

OK, I guess I should get to work...whatever that is for today.

Morning weight was 157.2...still enough to bring down Physicsdiet to drop another bit :)

Yesterday food was good, it might have even been low but I was distracted and just didn't feel/want food.

Had a Dr.'s appt and my BP was 96/57  w/ a pulse of 61  lol.  I guess that is what happens when you nearly fall asleep waiting for the doc to come in 40 min late :)

Got a good run in too...3.2 miles and met my goal of under 40 min!  Drum roll....39:55min  lol.  I just need to work on my 1.5 mile run.  I am sure that burned some serious calories.  Had an Atkins shake when I got home b/c  I knew I was going to wake up hungry after that.

So here it is another day and not really much planned on the calender.   I burped up my fish oil viti (the actuall oil not just the taste) so now I am chugging coffee and eating applesauce so I don't have fish breath all day

Morning weight was 158.0 (up) I am sure it is normal fluctuations as I think about it now, I am about 10 days out. That is about right and annoying.

Yesterday I had some splurges. In the morning I wanted something to nibble on and the only thing around was a large bagel that cost me about 300 calories  Lunch was OK and then after lunch the afternoon dragged and I broke down and had a Take 5 candy bar. I didn't even look at the calories. Dinner was TJs chicken enchiladas. I didn't look at the calories either but had 2 and they had a good amount of cheese on them. So maybe yesterday I did go over a bit. I also did not drink enough water.

Exercise was dicey. I did 38 pushups and 53 sit ups (very slowly) and that was it. When I was done my elbow was screaming...This is worrisome as the date of my fitness test once again looms on the horizon.

Today is going to be busy. I have to go to the post office to pick up my new stretching DVD from Amazon, babyshower gift shopping and then grocery shopping for the fixin's of pasta salad for a BBQ tomorrow.

So time to scarf down my oatmeal (which refuses to cool) and off to work...again.

Morning weight was 158.2 (up)  I guess this could be more bloating or it could be the fact I had Wendy's for lunch yesterday

Breakfast was good (oatmeal w/ raisins) and then I got the munchies and somehow convinced myself I was hungry and had some honey roasted peanuts (2 servings).  Lunch I had to go to the post office and so stopped by Wendy's for lunch and had the spicey chicken sandwich w/ fries.

I didn't snack all afternoon and for dinner I had some pasta with calorie free butter and parmesan cheese.  I also sampled my pasta salad...just a couple bites and that was dinner.  I don't think that is really bloat material but the Wendy's was probably salty.

Exercise:  I planned on getting a good workout with my new stretching DVD and it turned out I was very disapointed with it.  It was 45 min of some lady in  her living room showing the most basic of stretches and by the end of it I didn't feel very limber.  Waste of money.

Today I woke up late and so it was a Slimfast for breakfast with an apple.  Lunch is a BBQ with Brats and sides.  Not sure on dinner yet.  I plan on doing some speed work on the treadmill for exercise today so we will see how that goes.

Morning weigh was 158.4.  I know iti s higher b/c of TTOTM but I was hoping it wouldn't be as high, meaning a bigger drop when all is said and done.

Quite angry with PhysicsDiet...it appears they have lost the last 2 months of my wieghts.  boo!

Just spent some time browsing through the new "Curves Ahead" thing they got going on in FoxNews about how "voluptuous" women are accepted more these days.  how confusing could it get?  One day we are fat and the next we are sexy  lol.  I looked through the slide show and there were a lot of women on there I would call beyond voluptuous that is for sure.  I call voluptuous carrying maybe and extra 15 lbs...but these ladies had back rolls and were quite large.  I found this interesting b/c the next article down talked about how NY theaters were having to replace their seats with bigger ones b/c folks are having a hard time fitting into the vintage ones  lol.

Food was good yesterday.  I think I kept it under 1750 for the day and got in a walk/job/gimp session.  I had planned on doing my usual weekly 3.2miles but I had a party to go to and was short on time and not to mention that no amount of stretching would unlock my calves and I got a cramp in my butt muscle  lol.  Maybe I wasn't hydrated enough but I don't think it was that bad!  I guess we all have our "old lady" days but that is so frustrating when you WANT to get out there for a change.  lol.

Hubby comes home tomorrow; I get to see him tonight though and will take him dinner.  It is going to be a long workday waiting for quiting time to go down there.

Ok, I am back.  It has been a busy week of health related stuff and hubby coming home finally.  I was off work for 11 days and I am glad to be back and have a purpose (sorta) for the day.  At least I am out of the house...although i was starting to enjoy Dr. Oz in the morning

So b/c of my health stuff, I only got 1 run in this past week and a couple of pushups/situps.  Needless to say I have lost some serious ground.  I also got on the scale after avoiding it the entire time (it was great) and was not happy about 159.0...that is up about 2 lbs.  Not entirely unexpected as we did eat out A LOT, but I didn't eat a lot.  I guess it could have been worse.

But I am back on track today.  Had oatmeal for breakfast and planning on a lot of water and some good toning exercises today.

PF Test - 30 days.

I can't believe it is already Thurs!  Morning weight was a bit of a shock...159.6 lbs LOL...CRY....

I thought I had been doing really well all week too.  I feel like I am cutting back but maybe I am only cutting back to a maintenance level of calories.  I think I still might be eating too much at a meal...although I have cut back a lot on the frequency (no mindless snacking).

I am thinking I might also be dehydrated.  I am finding on days that I don't drink enough water, I actually gain weight and not lose.  I figure it is my body holding on to every last drop until I catch a clue and start drinking more regularly.

Today I was planning on going on a long run but it appears the weather may not hold out.  Even if it does, my motivation is definitly low...these are the times that I need a workout buddy.

So the day has gone well.  Lunch was pretty heavy...pasta (with a lot of oil) with feta and a bit of mahi-mahi and a chunck of toast.  I am sure it was up there near 1K calories with all the oil in there.  Breakfast was good though and I did sneak in a few twizzlers...not sure on dinner yet.  maybe lunch will hold me over...and if I do run, that is a def appetite killer.

Ok, well morning weight was 159.0lbs.  That is down but I still really can't explain how I gained a couple of pounds so quickly.  It didn't seem like I was that bad...

Anywho...wasn't hungry after work and after a quick rest I put on the ol' running shoes and went for my run.  Planned on doing a long one, but after reading an article talking about how unless you are training for a marathon, short fast runs are just fine and burn just as many calories or more b/c you are working harder.  With that in mind and a curiosity to see how my 1.5 mile run was coming a long I did that and it came out to 16:02.  That was with 2 stops to tie the shoes and a 30 sec walk.  I don't count the walk b/c I think it evened out b/c I could put a bit more umph in the last .5 mile.  I am hoping to get my run to 14:45 in a month...we will see.  Now to work on strength...bah!

Food today is iffy.  Morning was usual oatmeal/raisins/ff half and half...no snacking.  Lunch I was craving Thai and so had a noodle/broccoli/chicken dish and at the whole thing *sigh* and then came back and 1/2 serving ice cream BAH!  Good thing I can only think of is that I hope I am not hungry tonight after all that.

I have an appt with a Intuitive Life Coach this evening to help me get motivated to enjoy my youth.  We will see how it goes...can't say I didn't try.  She does hypnotherapy too...I wonder if she hypnotize my thyroid  lol.

Should be a good weekend.  Hubby is working so I am not planning on going out much.

Morning weight was 160.0 :nono:  Not sure what is going on...All I can think of is that I need to really start watching calories again and cut back on the carbs...no more pasta everyday

Doing pretty well on exercise this week...got a good run in on Monday and yesterday despite feeling kinda icky, got about 20 min of strength tng in.

My session with the intuitive life coach was really interesting...she said one of the reasons I don't succeed at what I do is b/c 60% of my decision process is influenced by my fear of failure.  So I don't even try...

30 days till PT Test so I guess I better not fail this time and really stick to it.

Oh and waist this morning was 32"

Morning weight was 158.8.

Yesterday I really made a true effort to not eat frivolous carbs if other options were available.  Started using LiveStrong again to track my calories and it said I went over 200 calories of my goal.  Oh well, it is still a deficit.

No exercise yesteray as feeling a bit under the weather.  Just a dry hacking cough and scratchy throat...no other symptoms but enough to make you cranky.

I was planning on doing my run today but will see how I feel this afternoon.  Not to mention it is my day to stay till closing and we also need to go shopping for a house warming and birthday present.  I might do that at lunch if I feel like it.

We will see how it goes!  Took my Emergence-C and so hopefully that kicks some butt!

Morning weight was 158.8.

So these past 3 days I believe I survived the bubonic plague.  I felt miserable!  I am thinking it was actually the flu (in Aug?) but all the symptoms match.  I tried to go to the doc but our wonderful healthcare couldn't see me for 10 days...oh well.

So my PT test in now officially in 28 days   I don't know how far back this illness set me.  I am going to hit the treadmill again today for some interval training to try and bring down my run time...I also REALLY need to work on my push-ups!  I have NEVER been this weak!  It would be nice to go into the test weighing 150lbs too...it will be hard.

Ok, I need a reality check.  So the chick I sit next to at work is a personal trainer and a dietician!  She is a wealth of knowledge and a model to eat after at work.  (she is HOT!) But what do I do?  Eat a Java Twix while she is munching apples and peanut butter...WTF is wrong with me?

So this is a new week and a new day and maybe a new beginning?

Yesterday went REALLY well...so proud of myself and I hope I can keep it up!

Livestrong calories came out to 1262 Net.  Got in a good speed-work run for 29 min /2.25 miles.

Made fish and rice for dinner and some banana muffins :yum:

Overall it as a very lovely evening with the hubby working and me have some "me time."

Busy today so food is going good b/c not having much time to think about it.  Planning on some good strenghth training this afternoon, scheduled the date for my PT test...28 Sep!

Morning weight was 158.0...same.

Yesterday went really well and I was busy on my feet for several hours setting up/tearing down for a function.  I enjoyed the refreshments but kept it to one small cocktail plate of stuff and no cake.

Came home to exercise...had grand plans of doing a killer push-up plan:

10 p/u
10 s/u
10 p/u
10 s/u
10 rev p/u
10 rev s/u

All that 5x...I made it 2 whole times...3x I had to cut out 1/2 way through p/u to my knees...4x all on my knees...5x didnt happen.

I plan to do this 2x a week and hope that will get my strength up...unfortunaletely it is not much of a calorie buster...

Everything on plan for today...calories tracked...no exercise planned...we will see!

Morning weight was 157.2 :down_arrow:  Woot!

Yesterday went really well, it was getting pretty close on my calories and I think I did go over about 150 of my goal but it seems to be OK.  Not sure what pushed me over.

No exercise but I am really sore from my workout on Tues.  Today I plan on doing a good long jog.  I hope it cools down enough before the sun sets to do it comfortably.

No plans for the long weekend...my only goal is to not over eat!

Morning weight was 155.8! Now that was 2.5hrs later than I normally weighed and hydration was lower than it has been for the past week...45.1% So I am not going to get too excited about it right now. I still have the weekend ahead of me and not sure what is in store food wise. I have given myself permission to enjoy some of the foods I might want but not sure what that is at this point.

Yesterday I got a long run in...5K and it took me 42 min...longer than before when I ran it by 2 min. I also burned 500 calories! I was really tired afterward.

Today I am off work and enjoying a lazy rainy day. I did do 4 sets of my push-ups and it was easier...but I also spread the sets out longer (on the commercials of my show).

Have about 900 calories left for dinner and not sure what I want to have. We will see...

Thanks Sassy!  I am really trying hard...

This morning's weight was back up to 158.4 (lower than last week at this time).

This weekend I think went pretty well.  I did indulge but kept it to a minimum and I don't think I gained anything.  Yesterday we spent the day at a friends house and I don't think I had a glass of water all day!  So the result...I am VERY backed up.  That is a big problem for me...always full of $h1t  lol.

So last night I took some assistance and then chugged some serious amounts of water and I plan on continuing that today...

Oh man...someone just yelled out Panera Bread bagels .  grrrry

Back on track for food again...maybe except for 1/2 a bagel.

Plan on running this afternoon...the countdown continues to PT test!

Morning weight was 157.8...not as low as last week at this time.  Physicsdiet is saying I lost .9lbs last week though.

Had a wicked awesome run yesterday.  On a whim set the the treadmill to the 350 calories in 30 min program.  It has you run at a 6.0 pace for 24 min!  I bumped it up to 6.2 for a while and burned myself out and had to take a 1.5 min breather after 15 min but then picked it up again.  I felt really good!  Now if I could just do that when pounding pavement.  I need to learn to pace myself.

Calories yesterday were a few too low...1200 Net.  I would have been good but hubby stole some of my dinner...bah!  I woke up hungry this morning.

So today I had my slimfast and coffee and had 1/2 a stale bagel (really craving carbs after the run).  I have my tupperware of veggies and hummos standing by.

So I am one day closer to my PT test...and I was plotting yesterday on how to score over a 90...if I do that, I don't have take it for another year : )  I either need to up my pushups to 35 (hard for me) or take an extra 30 sec of my desired run time (which I am not close yet.)

Thursday I am going to go out and see how I do on the run...I need to push myself.

Big test is coming up for my job too...I think it is scheduled for 2 wks and so I need to get cracking on though 400+ flash cards I have  lol.

Morning weight was 157.0.  Same as last week thursday...Physics diet is saying I am down .13 lbs so far for this week 9/5 - 9/11.  Last week I lost .9 lbs.

Did well on calories yesterday, I came in at 1480 Net.  Had to spend few extra minutes on the treadmill to make up for some kitkats yesterday.

Today is another day and not much is planned that is out of the ordinary.  I sat down last night and wrote a to-do list of all the things I have been avoiding and it is pretty long...

Planning on doing a 3 mile run today.  Going to do the first 1.5 miles as fast as I can to see how I am progressing on getting down to that desired 14:20 run time.  I was able to 26 push-ups and 46 sit-ups last night in 1 min...still need to up those by 9 each and hope they count all of them.  Waist looks good for full points though!

Ok, off to chug my slimfast and start on my laundry list of lifes administrative details.

I have noticed my body warming up when I take those Raw Thyroid supplements.  It did seem to take several days in a row of taking them.  If they are warming up the body, that means they are in fact, increasing the metabolism.  That's good news for us!

I also thought I would share, it seems to be easier for me to lose weight if I cut out sugar and grains.  After two days of being strict about it, the scale has gone down.

Good luck with all your goals.(Exercise and your "to do list")  I've got a long list of to "do's" as well.  My house has piles of clutter here and there, that are making it impossible to clean house, keep it clean or have it look clean. :dizzy: Sigh!  That is one of my goals.  To get further than just the dishes, laundry and vacuuming.

Morning weight was 156.4.  About the same as last week...Physicsdiet says I am down .28lbs for the week (which still has 1 day left in it).

Yesterday was hectic!  Lots of stupidity trying to figure out why my rented dwelling insurance suddenly was changed...turns out there was a "mistake" made on their end.  Ugh.  I got a lot of appts made and things mailed off that I have been putting off so that was good.

Work was kinda stressful as I get closer and closer to my test day for my academia and I amy psyching myself out and now I am not sure I know it well enough to pass.  I didin't meet a deadline either for a research paper for the boss...kinda his fault b/c he gave me such a broad topic and I am not sure what question I am supposed to be trying to answer.  He won't elaborate either...just repeats himself.

Yesterday's run was a bust.  I was actually cranky when I finished!  I ran a mile in 10:45 which is pathetic cosidering I can run a 9:40 mile on the treadmill at an incline!  My muscles felt so weak and sore and stiff...maybe I was dehydrated.  I guess I am not one of those types of people who can run off minimal water.  I hope that doesn't happen on the day of my PT test!  I am goning to go out on Sat maybe and do a redo on it.  I was also reading about how I probably need to do some hip strengthing exercises and stretch more.  I am about 10 inches from reaching my toes when I bend over.

Feeling kinda blah and spacey today...hungry too.  I hope the day goes by quickly and really don't feel like working out.

Morning weight...Uh, I forgot lol. I know it was something .2. Probably 157.2 or 156.2. That is what I get for trying to weigh myself so early on a Sat.

So on weekends I refuse to track my calories, it keeps a measure of sanity in my head. I do keep a basic running tally in my head but I don't really try to stay under something.

Yesterday when really well, stayed under the calories. Got in some good strength training and looked up the 100 push-ups and 200 sit-upsin 6 wks program. It looks supper easy! Too bad I didn't find it 4 wks ago when I could have really used it for my PT test...hopefully 2 wks gets me far enough to do well.

Morning weight was 158.4.  Weekend bloat...

Had an OK weekend.  I am sure I went over calories on both days but I don't think that it was major damage.  Maybe 500 calories over maintainence.  There was a lot of snacking going on on random things and they really added up.

Back on track today.  Planning on starting my 100 pushups/200 situps 6 wk program today.  Going to incorporate some leg work in there b/c after Fridays workout of squats and such and not being able to walk for 48 hrs afterwards, evidently there is room for some serious improvement.  Hopefully enought to help my run time in now a measly 14 days.

So I have by jug-o-water here and gettin' it done!

Wow, looks like we got spamed!  I hope it was Spam Lite

Anyway, things are going along here today.  Morning weight was 157.2...nothing new but pysicsdiet is still saying I am losing...  so far .1lbs for this week and .5lbs over the past 7 days.  Still not noticing much change in clothes though.

Yesterday I did the 100 pushup challenge and 200 sit up challenge.  I would a set of each and then rest for all 5 sets.  I then did a bunch of squats/lunges etc for a total of 95 calories...guess that isn't too bad for 14 min of work lol.  Calories were good too, right on the dot with livestrong.

Today doing good so far.  I have 333 calories left but I also plan to get a good run in this afternoon so that should give me an extra 300+ for dinner.

Got some stressful news today about some upcoming travel.  Nothing firm yet; but I am going to really work hard on not letting it get to me until I know for sure and then really controlling my emotions.

Morning weight was 157.2 again.  Same as yesterday; hopefully this is one of my stalls and then there will be a good drop.

Yesterday was definitely a notch in the belt for a good "diet day"  Went over my calories by 20 but I also got in a good 1.5 mile run and .5 mile walk.

Still on a bit of an emotion rollercoaster right now until I get more info on my possible travel plans.

I am also going to go see the Doc about my hip cracking/grinding etc.

Morning weight was 157.4 (up). Not sure why.

Yesterday seemed to be another model day for me diet wise. Stayed on track with livestrong's calories and got in 200 calories exercise for my pushups/situps and walk.

Today is going well too. I have an additional duty today "observer duty" so I get to watch people pee in bottles all day. Kinda kills the appetite and the bathroom is on the second floor so I have to climb about 20 stairs each customer...ugh. I was planning on running this afternoon but now I don't know if my legs will work lol. But with all this going on, I am actually hunting around for more to eat to keep up my calories.

No news on travel yet. I am calm and rational now so I am cool with waiting.

Morning weight was 158.2 boo!

Yesterday since I was hauling butt up and down the stairs all day, I didn't get muc time to enjoy my usual snacks and by 4:30 I had only consumed 700 calories.  I didn't really feel hungry but I really felt it on my run.  Really sluggish and I ran m y 1.5 miles a minute slower than usual.  It was also pretty warm out there...probably 90 Degrees and I was running on black asphalt.  I did bur 270 calories so that put my dinner at a minimum of 800 calories to make sure I got my 1200 at least.

Hubby solved that problem saying he wanted to go out.  Given I had so many calories left over and I was feeling crudy, we went to a Japanese place.  I had a salad w/ peanut/ginger dressing, miso soup, ebi sushi, shrimp tempura sushi, and a few bites of bimbimbop (by then I was full).  I think I stayed in range of not going over my left over caloires.  That tempura sushi was pretty high cal though I think.

Today I have my pushup/situp/squat workout.  Hubby is working till tomorrow AM so I am on my own.

Morning wieght was 159.0   Not sure where that came from!  I really didn't eat that much yesterday,  OK maybe it was salt as we had Charlies and then I tried to drink a lot of water.

This weeken went pretty well food wise.  I didn't over eat to the point of overfull and that was nice.  We even went out to dinner and I only nibbled.  I am sure calories were pretty close to maintenance or a bit over but that is OK, it was the weekend and I didn't go overboard.

Yesterday I scrubbed the house as my allergies are kicking my butt!  I am allergic to cats and have two, but I clean every week and have air purifires throughout the house and they get baths 1x a month.  So over the years their affects has been minimal.  I am thinking it is the turning of the weather that is getting to me.

We also went to Bath and Body and they had all their fall scents out which I LOVE!  I am going to stock up for the rest of the year  lol.  So now my house smells delicious

Morning weight was 156.8 (down).  I really don't know what I did over the weekend that caused such a ruckus.

Yesterday I think I went a bit over on my calories.  We had wraps and they are kinda hard to calculate so I decided to "wing" it on counting and not use Livestrong.  I guess I did OK.  Also got in my 1.5 mile run ... did it 15:50 which is 20 seconds slower than last time and I was a huffin' and a puffin'!  Only 6 days till my PT test...Burned 255 Calories on that run and had hamburger helper for dinner.

Today back on Live strong and dropped my weight goal to losing 2lbs a week.  It says I only get 1186 calories day (not counting exercise).  boo!

Exercise planned for the day is strength and might  have to throw a few minutes of walking in there so I can have enough dinner.  We will see.

Morning weight was the same 156.8.

Calories were OK, according to Livestrong I went over by 100 but stayed  under 1300 Net.  Had to spend a few extra minutes on the treadmill to earn a few more calories for dinner...still went over.

Nothing really planned or new for today.  Starting off my day with slimfast (which is so easy and filling all morning) and my coffee w/ my handfull of supplements.  Put on my pants today and they felt more comfortable than usual.

Physics diet says I still haven't lost anything this week b/c of my weekend bloat but overall it says I am down 6.1lbs  and 1.5lbs in the past month.  Ok seriously?  I keep it under 1500cal Net for 1 month and I lose 1.5lbs?  BAH!  According to Livestrong, I should be losing that in a week!  Ok, maybe I gained muscle but that would be a lot of muscle  lol, 3lbs worth  lol...take that guys

Today planning on running...of course we are having an indian summer today and it is going to be 90+ so I will have to go later in the day.  Gotta keep up the motivation to come back out to run!

Oh, and so stoked!  I refinanced my car and got a 3.15% lower interest rate!  Now if I can just do that with my mortgage...why is it so bloody expensive to refinance your house?  You practically have to take out a loan to do it.

Food was good yesterday and I came in about 150 calories over, which I am not too worried about as Livestrong recommends only eating 1186 to lose 2 lbs a week. Way too little for me. So if I don't exercise to earn more calories I usually don't worry about an extra 100 or so.

I also got some exercise in yesterday and burned 344 calories doing that...still managed to go over though. oops.

Today was my "free" day. I notice that I am eating a lot less and it takes so little for me to be full. B-fast was oatmeal, lunch was a burger at Five Guys with maybe a dozen fries. Dinner killed me though...chinese and then 1/2 of a like-it Cold Stone caramel apple ice cream :yum:

Tomorrow I hope to be better but hubby is talking about going out for breakfast already as he wants a good meal before he heads out to sea for the next 10 wks. I want to avoid the weekend bloat as much as possible as I have my PT test on Tues (if it doesn't rain). I am so ready to get that done with for awhile.

I didn't eat a lot this weekend, but what I did ewat was VERY salty and carby :chewing:  so I am totally not surprised.  I took my daily cleanser and bought a diuretic this AM and having my coffee to try and get things moving.

Tomorrow is the PT test!  Of course I picked the one day that 100% chance of rain Boo!  Not sure what they will do...they have an indoor track but you have to run around it 16 times! :dizzy:  Maybe the will just reschedule, not sure if that is a good or bad thing.

Hubby is gone. :crying:  He will be home for 2 days in Nov and then back for the Holiday Season.  Now is the time to be productive, no one distracting me and giving me reasons for excuses to eat out or not exercise!

Back on track for calories!  Physicsdiet (which gave me a scare this weekend when it wouldn't come back up! It already lost 2 months of data) said I lost .

.29 for the week
1.5 for the past 30 days
6.1 Overall

I find the .29 for the week confounding as my calories were spot on all week to lose 2lbs per Livestrong.  BAH!

Morning weight was 157.8 (I think). Not sure why it is up, didn't go over on calories by much +/- 150.

I did end up having my PT test...in the rain and all. And drumroll please....I scored a 92.2 out of 100 woot! That puts me in the top 10%! Although I think there are a lot of folks who could score 150 points if the scale went that high. But that was an achievement and a surprise for me.

Stats:
30 inch abdominal
33 Push ups in 1 min
51 Sit ups in 1 min
14:00 1.5 mile run ( I thought I was gonna die on this one)

Today my quads are really sore, it has been hard getting up and down out of chairs. I also pulled a tendon (or something) in my ankle so it is very sore to move my foot up and down. I am not sure what did that, you would think I would remember. Maybe I put my foot down wrong on the run. Tonight I didn't exercise and sat in my recliner with a hot pad alternating btwn my ankle and my quads lol. What and old lady

Today has been super rainy and gloomy. I like the rain a lot but btwn that and my celebratory mood, I wanted to EAT! Kinda splurged today. Had oatmeal with raisins, agave nectar, fat free half and half for b-fast; thai for lunch; a much un-neeeded snack of apple and peanut butter and a dab of ice cream and then a WHOLE box of mac n cheese for dinner  There really didn't seem like much when I made it and I figured I would eat it and get full half way through...that is a negative ghost rider! I snarfed it down. Total calories for the day 2100! If I could find an accurate daily needs calc, I would know how much that would be over. I usually just go with the time I wore my HR monitor for 24 hrs straight and it came out to about 2200 cals. I should do it again and see what I get.

Tomorrow we are have a mexican themed potluck. I made crockpot chicken enchiladas. I put the recipe in Livestrong and it came out to 554 cals a serving eek! I will see how this goes and see if maybe I can cut out some of the cheese. I am still in my celebrating mood but with my ankle laid up, I can't take the risk of too high of calories. I need to find the motivation again to keep going on my oh so slow weight loss.

Morning weight ????  I forgot  lol.  That is a good morning.

I have been VERY stressed lately regardin an upcoming deployment and been driving myself crazy...until last night.  I have several books on Intuition and Living in the Power of Now and spent from the time I got home to the time I went to bed sitting in my recliner switching between books, journel and meditating trying to rebalance my inner peace with life.  Today I am doing much better as yesterday I felt on the verge of a panic attack.  I have to acknowledge when my mind takes over and stop it and "walk" away and return to the present and the present task at hand (which is not a trip to Afg in 5 months).  I didn't even eat dinner last night...just sat there.

Today I don't think I am going to bother with Livestrong, I have my slimfast and coffee and I will just eat like I have been lately.  I think I might go for a fast on Sunday...I have never been able to complete one b/c when I get hungry, I get headaches and woozy.

So today I will work on my inner peace and balance and everything will fall into place.

Sunday Morning : )

Normally I don't post on the weekends b/c I don't track my calories, but this sunday I decided to do a 36 hr fast. It is a lot easier when I am home a lone too. I decided to do this b/c I enjoyed my week of celebrations after doing so awesome on my PT test. I didn't track calories all week and I know there were a couple days where I pushed 2K and I didn't exercise! My ankle was pretty sore though up through Friday.

So yesterday I started my fast at 7:30pm after dinner. I slept till 11:30 this morning! 14 hrs  I sleep a lot during TTOTM. Sure enough this morning I woke up with all the symptoms and really needed a Midol. I can't take that on an empty stomach so I had 1/2 a cup of low fat cottage cheese to coat the stomach so my fast has turned into a 100 calorie day lol. I guess that is OK.

So the plan for the day...I am going to the store to by pet shampoo and then it is cat bath day! woot! It is raining so I think I am going to completely field day the house and relax with some True Blood tonight (I love netflix, I have had those movies for nearly a month now lol).

7:30 PM weight 158.2
11:30 AM weight 156.2

It is now 3:30 PM and I am 20 hrs into my fast and I am not sure I will make the 36 hr mark. I am not hungry per say, but I am feeling cold and a bit air headed which means my blood sugar is down. I am not diabetic or hypoglycemic but I do react to low blood sugar pretty strongly.

Been busy all day with shopping, spent way too much money of course. I also gave both the kitties their baths and cleaned the kitchen and cleaned the floors. The laundry is going and I am relaxing now.

I am pretty sure I will make it the last 4 hrs of the fast; but feeling pretty cruddy with TTOTM going on and all. I will just sip my green tea and see what happens.

I was hoping for more of a drop but I guess I didn't have it in me.  That weight was also pretty hydrated to according to the scale, maybe .5% than most days.

I made it to 7:00pm on the fast, so that ws 23:30 hrs.  I got so hungry around 6 pm that I thought I was going to die.  It was not that light, in control, enlightening feeling I hear some folks talk about...it was down right gut knawing, head pounding hunger!  So I broke my fast 550 calories of grilled cheese and soup and hot chocolate.  I was still hungry afterwards but I refrained.

So this morning I had my oatmeal b/c after the fast I wanted solid breakfast, not slimfast.  Tonight I will get back into my workout routine and do a toning video.

I was trying to think of what to use to motivate me for this next stretch since my PT test is done for a  year.  I came up with glamour shots with the hubby in mid Nov.  I am not setting a goal weight I want to lose as I know my body has a complete mind of it's own and so I will just try to lose what I can and keep that photo shoot in mind.

Good morning CPH!  Morning weight was 155.0   Where the heck did that come from?  Was I really retaining that much during TTOTM.

Yesterday went really well, only went over about 50 calories on Livestrong.  I am not too concerned about that b/c have it set at losing 2lbs a week, it has me only eating 1172 calories which I know is a no go even w/ exercise.  So overall I ate about 1450 w/ 215 calories exercise.

Today is going well.  I had a sliver of banana bread and my slim fast for the morning.  Had a snack of 1/2 a serving of cottage cheese for a snack and not sure on lunch yet.

Planning on running this afternoon.  It is going to a long slow run as my muscles are killing me from my strength workout yesterday.

Good morning!  Morning weight was 155.8 and hydration was .2% higher than yesterday.  Random, I will never understand that.

Yesterday's run was lovely!  It was a crisp day with a nice breeze and the smell of the ocean.  My asthma (yes, I am finally admitting and accepting it) reared it's head for a bit.  But I find if I run and get short of breath, I walk it out and when I start again I am about 85% fine.  I read about what is going on w/ that, but ya'll don't care  lol.  But I got in 2.7 miles in about 34 min (with warmup/cool down/ catch breath).

Dinner was the same as yesterday, chicken enchiladas and I enjoyed a hot chocolate again.

Today I am thinking some pilates are in order.

Still no word if I am deploying...it looks like it is going to be a last minute thing (as usual).
