I am proud to report that I have managed to choke  down all my vitties since Monday and I'm feeling better again

Alrighty... here is it 1:45 and I have NOT taken my vitties.  ARGH:angry:  Will take them now while I'm so full of Ruby Tuesday's salad bar I could sleep for two days.

I'm not getting off of the hook for YMCA today either.  :heart:Todd called and informed me that I must meet him at the Y today after work...  #$%@:?

:chicken:

2:44  Ok.. I'm going to take them NOW>>>>>> really:dizzy:

Just wanted you to know it's all your fault that I had oatmeal this morning for the first time in god knows when!  I bought the sugar free oatmeal with cranberries from Super Wal-Mart and it is VERY good:P!  See, you're more of an influence than you ever know...

The hardest part of it is getting there!! :dizzy: Once you've begun and get into the groove it doesn't seem so bad :nono: So just think of it as a date. Primp a bit, pick the workout clothes that look the best, and get your arse there. He's your work out buddy. It feels pretty good when you're finished.
BTW Congrats on being voted out of the over 300 club.

I WENT TO THE Y

I WENT TO THE Y    HA HA HA HA HA  AND I am happy to report I am NOT dead.. I just FEEL like it:shock:

It's pathetic really.  I did 5 minutes on the bike.... 5 minutes on the 'MACHINE OF DEATH' DUN DUN DUNNNNN otherwise know as the eliptical machine or something.  I HATE IT. then did sets of 10 on almost all of the weight machines.  I was SO miserable on the bike and the machine of death I wanted to clobber someone.  Biggest Loser needs to come back on so I can not be so pathetic and bitchy about sweating for 5 min each on these machines.  UGH:shock:

oh yeah.. I MAY have eaten a bag of peanut m&m's yeseterday..... I don't even LIKE peanuts.  Auntie Flow is almost here again.  Hoorah

What kind of workout routine were you going for, it sounds similar to the one at curves, where you go from machine to machine as a cardio instead of so much as muscle building?  I keep meaning to get to the gym, I won't do the treadmill there (too self conscious) but I may go for a swim and a jacuzzi :duck:  I wish we had a Y here.

I bet it's great going for walks at the zoo (I love animals :cow:).  My baby would love it if we did that, unluckily the closest zoo is a hundred miles from here :crying:

I thought the monkey made a good head because it was facing forward. Oh well.

Don't know about the Smithsonian Zoo, but the  museum is amazing. Walk in the door and you see an elephant. Just happens to be the biggest elephant ever know.

You can find many extinct species.

And I remember looking at the shoebill storks and seeing that they were collected by Teddy Roosevelt!

Way cool.

ALLLLRighty.  The tentative plan is to go to the Y MWF of this week.  I really have to get serious with my exercise if I'm going to try and get to 270ish by mid June for my fam reunion.

I am discovering that one of the things that made water aerobics so much more appealing (among MANY) was the fact that I didn't have to worry about work out clothes.  I'll poke a badger with a spoon before I show up at the Y wearing shorts:shock:

Soooo I'm thinking.. I'll pop on in to the store and pick up some sweats.. how hard could it be?  PSHH  Needless to say, I'll be going to work out today in my black work pants.  I'll be making a visit to the Big n Tall casual male.  I guess sweats are more of a winter thing.  What do they expect us big gals to wear?  SPANDEX:shock:  It's also frustrating to no be able to find a sports bra in my size.

And WHAT do they have for me to look at right in front of the stationary bike?  A TV you say??? NOOOOOOO a big friggin' mirror my friends.  So I get to sit there and not only be in agony physically but I have to LOOK at my self jigglin' all over the place.  I tell you what... Five minutes is all you could to take too if you had to look at what I have to see. But I digress..

I am glad to report I am back to drinking water in the car on the way to work and eating oatmeal every day.  Still a little feeble on the remembering to take all of my vitties.  I come in to work this a.m. and on my little vittie 'tray' are half of the ones I forgot to take on Friday.  Ooops.  I also get about twice a year this banana a day email that puts me on a 'eat a banana once a day kick' so I'm doing that right now too.

Ok.. this is apparently the 'face for the day':shock::shock:

Later

Synicalchick- I too have problems finding bra's that work for me.  Although I am at the other extreme (38A), but there is a company called Title Nine that has a wide variety of sizes, I think I have noticed sizes up to 42 DDD, you might want to look them up and give it a try.  Good luck.

Ah heck--I've just given up trying to find a product that works on spots (on the spot, so to speak!) and use a napkin like a bib most of the time!!  What do I care what people think of me, right?!!

As for the mirror in front of the machine--I say exercise your power (I'm just full of puns today!) and ask the management to move the machine away from the mirror.  I'm sure you're not the only one who doesn't like the location!

Wellll considering that the entire room is walled in floor to ceiling mirrors.....

I just got back from the Y for my Monday visit.  I feel triumphant.  It's auntie flows 1st day (day one and two are always the freakin' worst) and I almost didn't go.  not only did I go.. but I did 3 mintues on the machine of death.. THEN I did TEN MINUTES on the bike, resistance 4 average speed between 99-105.  ROCK!  TEN MINUTES!!!  I have always given up after 5.  Did I mention that I did TEN MINUTES!:D

You know, Chick, that's what I love about "Curves", they don't allow mirrors in the workout area.   We do have one back in the dressing room-I suppose to make sure we are put back together right:D    And I love that there are no guys there, to watch us jiggle and bounce either.   And I love the circuit idea, as I never have to wait for a machine.   And being they are resistance machines, I don't take breaks to adjust weights....it's a continuous workout, all in 30 minutes!  It works for me:cool:  Hisgal:heart:

AND I HAD OATMEAL FOR BREAKFAST TODAY!!:ribbon::star::thumbsup:  Have fun in D.C!!

A tye-dyed bra is great.  I bought my baby his first tye-dye the other day, baby's look great in tye-dye ;)

Today is Zoo :cow::pig::monkey::chicken::duck::bear::cat::dog: day !!!!

I will be walking 163 GLORIOUS acres fill with wonderful beautiful animals!.. then tonight I get to see a LIVE radio broadcast of 'A Prairie Home Companion'  In between I might even get to go to the arboreatum.... if I spelled that wrong it's not my fault... it's how I pronounce it.

Your vacation sounds great!  I will be trying to learn to ride a motorcycle this weekend--a class from the motorcycle safety foundation.  I have rarely ever gotten ON a motorcycle, much less tried to drive one--but I am getting adventurous in my "old age" :P--must be less carbs to the brain that birthday cake doesn't count does it?

ALRIGHTY....

I've been vacationed and MARRIED and now I weight 310 :angry::angry::angry::angry:  UGH

Getting my rear back in gear.. sorry I've been silent (though some of you are probably VERY grateful)  But my post would have been like, Breakfast pancakes, eggsw/ cheese:caution: and potato's... lunch :caution:CHEESEburger, supper Fried Squash and venison.  since I got Married on Fathers day it would say  Breakfast  Wedding cake, lunch wedding cake :caution:cheese and crackers and burrito and wedding cake, Supper, wedding cake, pie dough & chicken... well.. you get the point.  I'm darn well lucky I ONLY weigh 310.

WELL I'm back.  My HUSBAND ~~ heehee:heart: knows how much I LOVE the Biggest loser and I've been kind of bummed 'cause it hasn't been on.  This show is VERY inspirational for me.  he ordred me the workout vidieo and the book that has 26 testimonials from the people on the show.  I'm going to dig in to that starting tomorrow and reporting what I put in my mouth again... so.. HANG ON.

This morning so far I've had sharp chedder:caution: cheese and harvest grain crakers and about three cups 'o coffee.  I had to have :caution:cheese.. it's  my hairs fault.... I was all proud of myself this a.m.  I "french braided" my own hair... Looks great from the front.. couldn't see the back so I load it down with hairspray.  I get to work and Look at the back in the bathroom...

It looks like a pack of wild :monkey::monkey:monkeys:monkey::monkey: did my hair this a.m. but it so loaded down with hairspray that it would look worse if I took it down.
sigh

I am so glad you're back:D:D:D:D.  I think I almost split a gut laughing at your hair story!!

I also enjoy "I Lost It" on Discovery Health channel.  They have two stories per show and it is amazing and inspiring to see before and afters for all those people.  They use all kinds of methods to lose the weight so I guess the point is to find what works for you.

I think I will start keeping a food journal today--thanks for the idea.

I can relate on the hair issue.... mine is getting really long and unmanageable, so I stuck it up in a clip this morning, and halfway to work decided it looked like #%@&! and took it down!  We're such vain creatures!

Well, good morning.  It's the 1st day of the rest of my life.  I haven't been taking my vitties or anything so practically starting from scratch.  I'm switching to drinking distilled water with lemon in it. Heard it's really good for you.  Going to try not to drink while eating, which actually for me isn't that difficult.  For breakfast I've had a vanilla slim fast that I made from vanilla lite soy milk (16oz).  I'll do either a salad or oatmeal for lunch.  I am sleeeeepy and want coffee.  I figure if I can choke down two 16 oz glasses of water by 8:30 I will allow my self 1 small cup of coffee.

Got kind of hungry around 10 so I ate one pack of oatmeal.  Went to lunch and got a  garden salad with grilled chicken on it.  It was deelish but wasn't able to eat all of the salad.  I am STUFFED.  BLECH:shock:  i would like to do most of my calories for the day by lunch time. We'll see how that works out.  No clue what's for supper..just know it doesn't involve wedding cake ;)
