Well, I'm new. Female. I'm coming up on 50. I decided that I'm going to:
1) Lose weight
2) Buy a new motorcycle (and look like I'm 20 while riding it, a helmet will help tremendously with this <snort>)
3) Get a huge tat right above my a$$ cheeks (okay, the lower back area)
First off, I signed up for kickboxing. I got in with someone that is associated with UFC & MMA and he's been on Spike doing those cage matches. I haven't seen him there but he's on youtube and the guy is definitely good. We have female instructor and usually one of the men work us on Friday.
I worked out last night. My special sore places are shoulders, back, abs and some serious pain in my side obliques. I'm sure she'll either go for my arms or my legs tonight. So far I haven't made it to class all five nights, but I have made three nights. Next week I'm planning on going for 5 nights. After Friday, I never quite make Monday class (still re-cooperating).
I ordered a Bally ARC. The Firm had one but they wanted too much. I got it through QVC (I'm an employee and got 30% off) for around $50.00. I figure I can walk and do this on weekends and during the daytime (you can't ever work your core too much, so they tell me).
I use loads of Ben-Gay and aspirin. They are my two most favorites items to go to the store for. I take three aspirin before I even get to class.
Okay so here is my favorite diet food:
Pineapple, banana and chocolate cool whip.......tastes just like a banana split. Eat that every day and you've gotten your fruits down for the day.
Chaaaa-ching.
Good luck to all and to all a good night.

I'm still sore. I don't think that the boxing that we did last night strained any muscles because they were already fatigued from Tuesday......I can't wait to have really buff arms. No more batwings for me. Bye-bye batwings......
Anyway, going to start my Fat Loss for Idiots again on Friday. My instructor, Jennifer, informed me that it took her 2 years to get all the weight off. Yeah, well it' isn't going to take me 2 years. I put most of it on in 1 and I'll get the majority of it off in 1 (yeah, those babies will put it on you fast, won't they?).
Anyway, my Bally ARC has shipped so I should be seeing that within the next 10 days. I should have the abs of a 20-year-old within the next 6 months (okay, only if I really work hard and about 3-4 hours a day which I already know that isn't going to happen). I've been working out with P90X. I modify, modify, modify. I'm just too out of shape to do most of it but I see they use alot of it in the kickboxing class. I have to laugh because if something on P90X would look really too hard, I would just kind of take a break and watch it, well, my girl, Jennifer, uses some of those moves and she likes to come and give me personal instruction. Yeah, nothing like having the instructor stand next to you for 1/2 the class and throw personal attention your way. I'm the same age as her mother so you know where she's going......
I actually like the P90X and can't wait until I do it all the way through. I crash at about 35 minutes right now.

Well, I started my FLFI on Friday, cheated last night, had one of the supervisor at work feeding me chocolate. Didn't lose any but didn't gain any either. Just have to watch what I eat for the next 7 days.
Walked 1 1/2 hour on Saturday and 1 hour on Sunday. Going to try to walk 1 hour everyday and then do kickboxing 5 nights a week. I have to get more sleep because right now I'm only averaging about 4-5 hours a night. Not enough to keep up with a strenuous exercise routine. Maybe I'll change to walking 5 nights a week and kickboxing for 3. I'll have to think about it.
I'm looking at buying a 250 Ninja. My husband wants me to buy a 500 Shadow. I just want something to get around town in, not take a cross country trip. We'll see who wins this one.
I've picked out my tat. An angel. I found a stencil that I like but it's too sterile. I want something that looks tribal but that you can tell what it is. All those tribals are great looking but can you really tell what they are?
Well, going to go and take my hour walk before it gets too hot.

Well, I took Tuesday off from exercising and slept. It felt great. Lost 3 pounds on FLFI and bailed.
Did some research on ABS diet. Decided to design 100 to 200 calorie meals/snacks and eat them 6-8 times per day. Let's see what happens shall we.
Walked for 1 hr 15 min. My feet are sore. Think I'll get some new shoes. Looking into buying some new in-line skates. I want to get a really good pair as I'm sick of the cheap ones that hurt my feet. They have a new road that they just paved that has a bike trail. Eight miles of bike trail............every biker/skaters dream.
Going to kickboxing on Thursday and Friday. Friday is the best. I complain the whole time. They tease me that I don't like any of the exercises.......my reply......at least I'm consistant.
1782 - 477 = 1305 = 255

Well, I'm doing great on the new eating plan. I've created a bunch of 100 to 200 calorie mini-meals and I eat them all day long. Even give myself some dark chocolate (only 130 cal for 5 pieces). Don't like dark chocolate much so there's no possibility of over eating it. Funny thing is that I'm not too hungry in the morning but by about 1:00 am, I'm starving. What is with that? You'd think I would be hungry when I wake up, not when I'm gearing down for bed.
Didn't make kickboxing at all this week. I walked all week. Walked and drank water. I have one of those scales that says your weight, your BMI and your hydration. I finally got my hydration up to 40. It's supposed to be something like 70. Supposedly the more fat you have, the lower the number so I must be doing something right because it used to be 33.
I'm going to go over to the Honda shop with my son and my camera....Tell them that I want a Ninja and my husband says I'm getting a Shadow......Let my son take pictures of me on all the different bikes and the one that doesn't make me look like a dyke (and I apologize to any ladies that like ladies if I've offended you) is the one I'm going to buy.
Nothing more for now.

Holy cow, have I been busy.
Well, I forgot to take my food to work and went to Walgreens and bought some beef jerky. Probably should have suffered through it because that salt put 2 pounds back on me. Luckily, I know that if I step up my water, it'll be gone in 2 days.
Decided to just go to kickboxing M-W-F. Five days is too much at my present weight, I'll look into it again if I lose another 50 pounds. I now walk five to seven days a week from 1 to 2 hours. Can't wait to get more weight off. They just paved this new road (8 miles total) with a really wide bike path and I want to get my inlines on and go blade. I think I'll hit it on Saturday and Sunday and walk on both days also. Should burn off some fat.
Anyway, only eating oatmeal so far today, trying to help my system purge that salt. Maybe I'll have a protein shake before I walk and oatmeal again for dinner. We'll see, maybe a big salad instead of the oatmeal.

Well it's Sunday, I walked on Saturday and today also. Didn't make my kickboxing on Friday. I was so tired that I slept through it. I suspect that all this exercise is making me more tired because I used to be able to come home from 1 job and go right to the next.
Anyway, ate some ribs. Decided to take a day off from watching every morsal that went into my mouth. I have to laugh, I've watched everything that I've eaten, weighed myself, measured myself and made sure that I've taken in my 64 oz of water everyday.......not a pound.....haven't lost a pound.....eat those ribs and I'm down 2 pounds. What is with that?
So today, I'm back on the horse (so to speak).

Well, back to watching every morsel that I eat, those ribs finally caught up with me (lol).
I ordered 2 new pairs of pants. You see, I work for QVC and get a fantastic discount. I love the Denim & Company gauze drawstring waist pants. They are the most comfortable thing next to being naked. Anyway, I have a brown, black and white in 1x and I wear the he11 out of these pants. So the a$$ is hanging off of me and I decided to order some new ones. Should I get XL......nope not me, I'm going to go all the way down to large. So today, my new pants arrive. Well, I can get those bad boys on but I can't bend to sit. Guess I won't be wearing those for at least another 15-20 pounds.
So today, I start counting calories again. Maybe by March I can squeeze my a$$ into them. Anyway, I've discovered that Goodwill sells jeans for around $6.00 a pair. I'm not too proud. I'd rather wear somebodies seconds than have everyone think that I can't dress myself properly.
Hope everyone out there is having a successful week!!!!
Oh yeah, I returned my Bally ARC today, I didn't realize that it was just another step (I already own 2, Firm and Reeboc). I need another like I need a hole in my head. I may send back the firm also. I mean really, what do I need with 2 steps?
Oh and where I say up above that my dark chocolate was on 130 calories for 5 pieces.....WRONG, I was looking at 130 fat calories, those bad boys are actually 210 calories for 5 pieces. Guess I'll be limiting those to 2-3 pieces instead of the 5 I was feasting on <snort, it was fun while it lasted>.

Hi BB! Welcome to CPH I've got some chocolates at home that are 30 calories each. Of course, I can't remember where I bought them, but I'd guess Wal-Mart or Target. The brand is Lindt.............dark chocolate............70% cacao..........one serving is 7 pcs for 210 calories. Sometimes you just need to have 1 or 2 or 3
I love to buy pants that are too small.............it's such a victory when you can get into them, and get them zipped. And I love it when I can actually wear them to work, without feeling like every bit of cellulite is showing through them, and I can sit comfortably in them.
Onward and downward!

Thanks for the FYI on the chocolate. I went that night to the local Walgreen's to see if I could locate said chocolate. Well, I didn't find that one but I purchased another (Hershey's). Then proceeded to take 1 piece and pass the rest out at work. Yep, the girls just ate it right up. Ha, I sabotaged every single one of their diets (me bad).
So I go to kickboxing Monday night. Don't you know I pick "the new girl" to spar with. Well, I'm telling you if I have ever made a bad decision in my life, that was it. She wasn't "the new girl", she was someone that's been taking a month off because she was sick.
She kicked my a$$.
She broke two of my nails (through my boxing gloves) and almost dislocated my shoulder. The instructor kept coming over and yelling at me to quit being so tight or I'm going to get a dislocated shoulder and I'm telling you, this girl almost did it (actually, it would have ben my fault for not sparring correctly). Anyway I went to work afterwards and couldn't type for about 1/2 hour because my pinky and ring finger were numb.
So on Wednesday, I got into my class and said to my instructor, Angel (that's the little powerhouses name) broke 2 of my nails and made my hand numb for about 1/2 hour, her reply (while looking down at her hand), "yeah, I still can't wear a ring on this finger since I sparred with her". Luckily, Angel the Powerhouse, didn't show up. I'm hoping she quit because I'm too #%@&! old to go up against some of the youngun's.
That's my story and I'm stickin' to it.

Haven't lost one friggin' pound. I think that my metabolism is trying to figure out what to do. I've picked up my calories because I wasn't losing any weight and I think it's just starting to adjust itself. I've got a craving for a burger so as soon as I'm done here, off I go to the grocery store.......soy burgers for me.
One of the problems that I have is that I get off of work at 3:30 am and believe me, I'm starving. I try to take food but I'm still starving. I think it's a psychological thing having to do with finally getting out of the place. I'm going to have to work not eating something right before I go to bed.
I walk alot, about 5-7 times per week for 1 to 1 1/2 hours per day. It's good for you, burns fat. The kickboxing it because I'm having a mid-life crisis and decided that I'm going to fight getting old until it kills me, breaks my nails, dislocates my shoulder, whatever......
I had my 16-year-old load my MP3 with his music (I've always been a metalhead, so he loaded it with current metal). So I have quite the variety in there. Keeps me young. But the most fun that I get is I have a Leslie Sansone (Walk-At-Home) and I play her (with the sound off) on my computer while I load my Rammstein CD in my dvd player.
If I can recommend a dvd......P90X. It's expensive and you won't be able to do it (I can't). I modify, modify, modify and then modify some more. But you know what, you start to get smaller. I shouldn't be in a large pants size (even if I can't sit while wearing them) at the weight that I'm at. I have another 120 pounds to lose. I mean really, if I lose 120 pounds, I'm going to be like a size 0. Haha, like that will ever happen. My bones are just too big for that.
You could always start with Tony Horton's 10 Minutes Trainer. You won't be able to do that either but at least it's split into 10 minute increments. When you get one session down, you could try for two. I haven't tried him in a while but sincerely believe that I still could not complete one-10 minute session.
Okay, have fun and happy walking, I"m off to get my burger.

The TAE BO is one of the easier and better ones for people who are more overweight to do pullups and the crazy stuff i see on P90X.
Check it out. It might actually help your kickboxing training too because TAI BO is actually a form of kick boxing.
I just did section 1 and 2 on these video's only 16 minutes and i have sweat dripping all my head and my shirt is soaking lol. Im gonna try these video's everyday with my walking. If i ever get into something like P90X it will be when im 80 pounds lighter to where i can actually do a push up again. Yea i know i cant even do 1 pushup .
Man that must suck not losing 1 pound. You sure ? Thats sucks.
Oh btw if you do try this video its ok to take a break and you dont have to be in exact sync with these people lol, i found if they do crazy stuf like punch left and kick right i just do 2 punchs or something instead lol

Thanks for the youtube link. I used to do some of those moves about 24 years ago. Unfortunately, if I drop my hands that low now, I get a knock upside the head. Tends to make you keep your dukes up.
I wonder what he thinks about his stuff being used for free (I'm going to use him for free tomorrrow myself <snort>, so I would like to thank you again for the link). I can actually do push-ups (the girly ones). I haven't attempted pull-ups yet but I did purchase the pull-up bar. I sit and watch my son use it. How many calories do you suppose I burn up watching him?

Well the 20 minutes (first 2 parts) i did this calculator says i burned around 260-300 Calories. I belive this falls into Aerobics right ? I think i burned more tho i was litteraly dripping in sweat.
http://exercise.about.com/cs/fitnesstools/l/blcalorieburn.htm
About people using the video's for free yea i thought about the same thing if im going to look to this guy to lose weight im going to buy the video's. When i get paid in the next few days im going to buy the video called "TAE BO Amped" for $40. Aparently it comes with a Diet book, 4 DVD's, and some Resistance thingymabober.
In the meantime im going to watch the youtube video's.
http://www.billyblanks.com/category/my+goals/fat+burn.do
I can do girl pushup's lol, i ment "real" pushups if i go down to the ground my arms collapse and if i try to push.. it feals like a vein is going to pop in my head . I remember when i was younger like 14 i was in Military school over the summer and when i left i could do like 100 normal pushup's without even trying. Man i let myself go.....
Btw that "Snort" you do is pretty funny lol

Well, I was youtubing Billy Banks and I like the look of his Ab workout. I don't feel so bad about stealing his stuff from youtube. The clips that he has there aren't available any longer so he probably gave permission for them to be posted. Excellent marketing ploy. I'm going to steal the waist sliming thing from him. I do that for 30 days straight without bathroom breaks, rest, food, sleep and I'll be perfect by March.
I decided that I'm eating too much after 6:00 am (I don't get off work until 3:30am so I'm a little hungry all night). Well, I don't know what I was thinking when I decided that if I get hungry, I'm going to eat a prune. Oh wait, I know what I was thinking, I was thinking that I'll use prunes as punishment because everybody hates prunes. Yeah.......punishment it was. I only ate four. You'd have thought that I ate the whole bag. Believe me ladies and gents, you don't need to invest in any expensive colon cleaning products, those little balls of fruit will do you for $3.29 a bag.
For Jon-Erik, let me know how that Amped works out for you. I'm definately sending back my Firm Step. I have a Reebok and I like Gin Miller much better (she's kind of like my age, it's a comfort thing).

Will do, i just orderd the Amped system today $50 for the Resistance bar, 4 dvd' and nutrition book, and 30 day membership to his online thing, i did another session of the Youtube video's today. I still can only get through the first 2 parts of the cardio at the end of the 2nd i litterally cant breathe anymore lol.
The 5 dvd's have like 2 hours of workout's so im set lol. Once i lose enough weight and get in better shape im probly going to buy his Upper Body workout video's.
As for eating, it might be an age thing for you and me but i always heared it doesnt matter what time you eat its what and how much of it you eat. I eat whenever im hungry be it 3 PM or 3AM, i just watch how much of it i eat now.
I found one of the best ways to fill yourself up is to eat plain Mini Wheats, or Bran Cerial with the Sunbeam Raisens.. Why not Raisen Bran ? Because they pour tons of suger on there raisens. All high fiber foods and low calories, mini wheats will deff fill you up because they expand when you eat them.
Or get some of the WeightWatcher's Oatmeal. I like the Cinamon one. Another good one some people dont like is Cottag Cheese with the fruit of your choice, i like it with peaches. Another food that will make you drop pounds and fill you up is Sour Kraut mmmm that stuff is so good lol. I also eat whole Avacado's there really good for you they high in fat but have alot of Vitamins, Wallnuts are good too i eat them like popcorn lol.

Sauerkraut? I'll eat sauerkraut if you eat prunes........
Okay, I like sauerkraut but only if you add some weiner schnitzel and spaetzel. Kind of takes away from it being a "diet" food.
Have a good weekend youngun. I don't internet surf over the weekend so I won't be back until Sunday night.

Busy week. Injured my ankle, foot, leg, whatever. Too fat to walk <snort>, should have seen it coming.
It's a nerve. Unfortunately it's my sciatic nerve. Yep, last time (about 30 years ago) it decided to bother me........all I can remember is screaming. Yep, move wrong and I would scream. So I'll either work it out or scream for awhile. Guess I'll be on Google all night looking for natural ways to work it out. I'll let you know what I find. Probably something like lay in a hot tub and stretch my leg......alot.........take aspirin......alot....
Got my portable darkfield and loupe and was making everyone here give me their diamond rings so I could practice. One girl here has the nicest Leo Diamond I have ever seen. I mean really, it's impressive. I love to look at that diamond.......it's cut to perfection and the cutter put all the inclusions in the pavillion. He really did a nice job.
I'm going to make them give me their colored stones next...........I love the sparklies.....

I just wanted to let you know that I love reading your posts and you are such an inspiration on all you do. I am just starting my lifestyle of the vigerous exercising and eating healthy. I think you are so brave to do the kickboxing how "cool". Keep up the hard work you deserve it.

Okay, so I'm not saying that I'm dieting anymore. I'm through with dieting.
I'll tell you why (let me give you some background).
Both of my grandmothers lived to over 100. Technically speaking, I have a really good chance of it also. One had her body go and the other had her mind go. I figure if I do live that long, I'm going to have to work until I'm 80. What can I do when I'm 80........gemstones, beads and jewelery.
The down side is that I can't look 80 or walk like I'm 80 or act like I'm 80......right? I have to look younger than 80, much younger.
Well I did some research on slowing the aging process and guess what I came up with......you age slower if you eat less.....WHAT? I can look younger by cutting down on my food. What a thought, why didn't somebody tell me this before I paid $150.00 for Dr. Perricone!!!
So I no longer diet.......I have come up with a food plan that I can live with, that ages me slower and has a side benefit of keeping me thin. What is it you ask?
I call it my modified eating plan, others would call it starvation.
Oh I don't starve myself (alot). I eat 500 calories on the days I don't go to kickboxing which are Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday and then I eat normally and try to keep it healthy on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday. I still walk all the days and on T,T, & S, I walk twice. I drink anywhere from 1/2 gallon to 1 gallon of water a day.
On my 500 calorie days I eat 2 of those 120 calories South Beach snack bars and I make a vegetable soup. I throw in everything but the kitchen sink (oh and beware of brussel spouts, this is a fantastic way to get those suckers down ya but oh.............they give a whole new meaning to "silent but deadly"). I still use prunes as my punishment but only eat them after midnight on the days I can eat normally. Maybe it was the combination of the brussel sprouts and the prunes that stunk me out? Quite deadly (I hope no one is reading this stuff, it's embarrassing).
How "my modified eating plan" works for me is on the days I don't get much food, it's okay because I'll be able to eat shortly anyway and on the days that I can eat, I don't want to undo all the good I did on my starve days. I still eat a fair amount of food but I tend to make sure that it's good quality and not junk. So far so good.
This is not something that I would recommend to anyone else. It works for me because I have to slow my aging process. You ladies and gentlemen out there have your own priorities. I can live with this the rest of my life as long as it keeps me young and active until I die.
Oh and in case anyone cares, I like to die my hair a different shade every month. I'm going purple in March.

Well.....how's the non-diet going you ask? I'm starving <snort>. As expected!!
I just finished my punishment (prunes) and am going to embark on a trip to Walgreens shortly to purchase more punishment. I've already downed a gallon of drink and one container of my wonderful veggie soup. Haven't made the mistake of putting brussel sprouts in my soup again but since I've been reading up on how vitamin c and vitamin e destroy free radicals...........those brussel sprouts are going to have to make a return.
G0d help anyone in the immediate area (including me).
My kickboxing partner this Friday was a woman (age 40) who used to professionally spar when she was in her 30's. Nice lady. She can really throw a punch (and she has fantastic form while hitting on me). My shoulder was only numb for about 15 minutes with her and no broken nails. I'm improving!!!!

Well, I learned this morning that I am walking alot farther than I had previously thought. The hubby told me that once around the outside of our neighborhood was only a mile. Could not figure out why it was taking me 25 minutes to go a mile. So I got in my car and guess what? It's 1 1/2 miles. So I've actually been on track.
Now I go around 4 times each morning or 2 times in the am and 2 times in the pm. Except on kickboxing days. But I have to admit, this morning I went around 4 times and I still have kickboxing tonight. Probably won't be able to stand by 8:00 pm.
One year.....one very short year and everything will be in place. All the bills paid, the weight off, the degree finished and my new life starting.
Keep up the good work everyone.

Well, I walked 3 times around this morning. Should have only done two but what the heck......you only live once.
Got another shoulder injury. I think I'm scaring the youngun's at kickboxing. Sweet little thing hit my left and I actually let out a scream of pain. Then looked her right in the face and asked why she was stopping. She had the most horrified look on her face. She actually knocked the nerve loose so she helped it but she didn't believe me. I'm going to have to let it rest this week so I've got to tell Anthony (new instructor - male) that I'll have to go on the bag all week.
Pitty, I was so looking forward to getting beat into the ground by the 20-year-olds.
My new eating plan is going okay. Starved myself too much on Monday and paid at kickboxing. I actually laid on the mat and looked at Anthony. I think that I looked as bad as I felt because he didn't say a word to me. Went to work and got told I looked terrible. Needless to say, I picked up more calories and started to walk more to wear them off.
I have got to get those rollerblades. I can burn about 900 calories an hour versus 700 in two hours of walking.

Skipped kickboxing for two nights now. One because I wanted to let the shoulder rest and one because I was busy. Have to go back on Wednesday otherwise I have a hard time keeping up with the twenty-somethings.
Diet is okay, cheated on Saturday and on Sunday but since they are open days, it's okay. Had my favorite........Harvest chips with salsa......oh it was like heaven.
Tomorrow, back to the veggie soup and oatmeal with soy milk. Looking for those rollerblades still. I must have the biggest feet in the world. I swear, I'm going to have to buy men's skates. I don't mind but I do like that brake in the back and the men's don't seem to have that. They're kind of like hockey skates and I'm used to my figure skates (did that make any sense?).

Well, I kind of wigged out earlier this week. Personal stuff.
I've been on FL4I for 4 days now. Down 11 pounds.....oh don't get so excited for me. I knew I was going on it and decided to have 2 candy bars and 1 big bag of chips the night before........it was delicious.
So we are all smart enough to figure out that about 8 pounds of that is water from all the salt I ate.
I'll go back on ADF for 1 or 2 weeks and then go on another FL4I cycle. I actually like the ADF but my body seems to have gotten used to it and I quit losing weight. Figure if I switch back and forth, I'm thin in no time. I'll probably live by the ADF and throw in the FL4I when it looks like I'm starting to creep back up. I was aiming for 130 and at my age I figured that was acceptable but the more I read, I'm supposed to be about 120. I haven't been 120 since I was 20 so I guess I'll be starving alot. But the up side is that I'll look 10 when I'm actually 60 <snort>.
I have to admit, although my body is fighting to keep every pound, I haven't gained anything back, even when I'm not watching.
Getting new blades next payday (I know, I know, I keep saying I'm going to buy them but this time I reallyl mean it). Good for the glut's and I need some tight glut's, getting excited about getting my tat. I'm considering getting a black rose on my right upper arm at the same time. Angel for mom and a rose for dad. Haven't figured out if he'd like that but I think he would (but only if it's black, makes it more masculine). One of the supervisors at work knows someone from Miami Ink but it's a two hours drive. I'm not sure if I want to spend two hours driving home on an a$$ tat (okay, lower back but I still think it's going to be sore). Anyone know if you're that sore or not?
Walking like there's no tomorrow. I walk 1-2 hours every morning and 1-2 hours every night. Kickboxing 3 nights a week and then I'm going to rollerblade on Sat & Sun. I probably will replace the walking with rollerblading. I can burn a whole lot more calories in less time and I can't keep walking for 4 hours a day. I have other things I'l like to do with my life.
I wish all of you good luck with your program and to keep a stiff upper lip.

Well, I've been away for awhile. My life is good. I eat soup once a day, protein the rest of the day, lots of walnuts and almonds (you have no idea how delicious walnuts are when you're hungry and no, they are not salted or flavored). Other days, I don't eat much at all. I'm letting my body tell me when it's hungry instead of my mind telling me it's hungry. It works pretty good once you figure out the difference in what your body is telling you. Only drink green tea and water (okay, I have a diet soda about twice a week). When I want a treat, I mix chocolate protein powder with water. I get the big canister from Wal-Mart (orange w/black lid). I know it sounds bland but it's actually pretty good. Only 100 calories too.
I walk 6 miles in the morning and 6 miles in the evening. Someday those rollerblades are going to get purchased. I bought a Total Gym. I love my Total Gym. It is so easy to just hop on that thing after walking and workout whatever part of my body I want. I'm going to go back to kickboxing (I love it), but I am way too heavy to be jumping up and down. My feet aren't able to handle all the walking and then get pounded three times per week. Figured I'd get the majority of the weight off, then go back and beat the #%@&! out a bag. I love hitting that bag. I live to hit that bag.
I don't have much more to add. I just hope that everyone is winning their personal battle. And it's a battle, one that you have to fight tooth and nail.

Well, my baby was 17 yesterday. He informed me that tat's above the butt cheeks are for#%@&!s. I told him that's okay, because I'm 50 and can be a#%@&! if I want. He then hit me up to sign off on a tat for him. Told him I'd prefer not to and that he can get one himself when he was 18 because then he wouldn't hate me when he's 35 and wished he didn't get it.
I finally got asked how much I lost last night at work. It's 64 pounds. Honest to God, it took me 10 months. I thought I'd never get that off. I still have about 100 to go. I'm going to get it off in four months. Impossible you say. Not really, you have to exercise it off. If I rollerblade at 900 calories per hour........three hours a day......-2700 calories. If I eat 1200 calories (I'm actually supposed to eat about 2,200 to maintain), I'm down 3700 per day 3700 x 7 = 25,900.......25,900/3600 calories = 7.19 pounds. Leave in 1 day every two weeks to eat like a pig so I don't plateau and there you go, thin in 4 months. Now before anyone corrects me, I did not take into consideration that as I lose weight, I burn less calories while blading.
Okay, I'm just dreaming but everyone has to have a dream don't they? I don't think I could only eat 1200 calories and exercise for 3 hours a day. Maybe 1 but certainly not 3. I think this would be how you get yourself put in the hospital with exhaustion.

Ha, got my blades. It's too hot right now to try them out but in about 2 hours.........yeah baby, you'll see me cruising my neighborhood.
Got all my pads and helmet - I am ever the safe girl.
At my weight, if I go around my neighborhood eight times in one hour I burn 922 calories. Hello, I can do this. This is going to be a piece of cake compared to going around 4 times twice a day and wasting four hours.
God, I am so excited. Stupid hot weather. Slowing me down.

Thanks Zenobia......I am in love with them........they are my second child.
I'm sorry about your wrist. I didn't wear my knee guards once and fell on my knee, then I didn't hear my helmet once and fell and hit my head. It was like I targeted the unprotected parts of my body for injury. Believe me, I learned the hard way, I always wear those guards. Besides, I'm in the age group that gets all the broken bones from being old, bone loss, and from being old......did I mention from being old? I actually did go down within 75 feet of my house. I didn't get hurt going down, I fell when I was half way up and fell on my thumb. It and half my hand turned black and blue.
I went again tonight and it only took about 5 minutes to get my skates legs back. I didn't fall and I was averaging 18 mph for 45 minutes......I am burning the calories like a mad woman. I was sooooo tired of spending 3 1/2 hours a day walking.....I can burn the same amount of calories in 1 hour of blading. I'm planning on blading 1 hour in the morning and 1 hour in the evening........I AM IN HEAVEN!!!!!
WooooooWWooooooo.........
Yeah, I'm 50 tomorrow and still standing............fat will never take me down.......

Well, I've been gone for awhile.
I already have to take my blades apart and oil the bearings. I try to blade twice a day. I'm in the South and it's getting hot out there so I've had to switch to walking if it's anywhere near noon. As soon as I get under 170 pounds, watch out because I'm going to start running......I love running......I can't wait to run again.
I don't weigh myself anymore. I write down what I eat and when I get to 1200 calories.....I stop eating. I eat lots of oatmeal w/light soy milk (200 calories a shot). Lots of veggie soup and salads. Did you know that if you make a huge pot of veggie soup, you can eat like 1/2 of it and it's about 500 calories..... I just love that. But remember what I said above about those brussel sprouts. They'll get you in the end.....literally.....
I'm down to an large-xlarge. Different items fit me different ways. I've ordered all my clothes in medium. So I guess I had better get my a$$ down to that size. Ordered a new bathing suit in size 12.......I'll look fabulous...in oh about......4 months? Oh and have I got the worst case of bat wings......I swear......so now I carry one of those elastic bands with me and I'll pull that bad boy out and use it where ever I happen to be. Anyone looks at me funny and I just tell them, "physical therapy for a shoulder injury from kickboxing........I accidently broke the other girls nose and screwed my shoulder up)". LOL - that's the last of the funny looks that I get. Of course, you all know that I made that up, I got it in kickboxing but I was kind of the one that got hit.
Okay, have to go.....only walked 7.5 miles today and want to go home and put in another 3 mile while the opportunity to get a nasty case of skin cancer is still up high in the sky (only kidding, I use 50 or 70 when I go out).
Good luck to every one and I hope that your dreams come true!

So I'm gearing up to start my P90X again on Monday. Going to walk or blade for an hour and Tony Horton for another hour.
Was reading up on a new diet and it actually goes along with my starvation stuff. The girls at work laugh at me because I tell them my new motto is "starvation is my friend". They like to tease me......"here, Carol, have a mint and then you can say that you've had lunch".
Anyway, back to the new diet......eat fruit for breakfast, a normal lunch (proteins and carbs) and fruit the rest of the day. Works for me. I love fruit. Okay, I love certain fruits. So, I made this big thing of black bean soup and then my kid handed me a McDonalds snack wrap.....hmmmm, protein....carb....it works so I ate it. It's the worst thing I've eaten in like months and it was delicious.

Well, I didn't start my P90X. I can't find my dvd's. I know they're around somewhere.
So after much discussion with my 17-year-old-know-it-all, we've decided that on M-W-F I'll work out on my Total Gym and T-Th-Sat, I'll run/walk/jog 3 miles and jump rope working up to 1/2 hour.
You see, I've got the belly fat thing goin' on and it ain't going off of me. I'm getting stick legs and stick arms and this starvation/bloated belly thing on me.
So now I run up through my neighborhood hoping that know one is looking out their door or window at me. I can actually feel the fat on my back bouncing......and bras....yep, I gotta wear 2. One regular and one sports. Those bad boys are still trying to hit me in the chin as I'm smoothly (lol) gliding down my street.
I'm on an 8 week jogging/running program that I should be able to run 3 miles at the end. I'm going to join a local running club, they go to 2 marathons every month.
Going back to kick boxing in October but about 50 pounds lighter and in alot better shape. Gonna kick me some 20-something butt (only kidding, they'll probably mop the floor with me).
