Studies show that journaling the food we eat helps not only because we are keeping track of what we eat, but because it causes us to give more thought to what we are about to eat. And by posting on-line, we are likely to give even more thought to our actions because we know that others will be following our progress.
But this forum isn't necessarily for posting about what you eat or your activities or tracking calories, though it can be. It can be like any other diary where you write about what you are doing, thinking, your progress, setbacks, spouses, boyfriends, girlfriends and parents (parents!). Anything about diet and weight loss and anything about life, thoughts and feelings.
You are welcome to post in another member's diary, just be sure to be supportive. But that doesn't mean you can't express a differing opinion. If you think they have their eyes closed and are about to walk off a cliff, by all means tell them!
To start your own diary, click on New Topic. Give your diary a title like "My Diary - Username" or "Martha's Diary" or something similar that identify it as yours.
We look forward to sharing in your journey!
