The contents of my kitchen:

Chicken breasts, Frozen Corn, Frozen Mixed Veggies, OJ, Apple Juice, frozen 3 oz size burgers, special k fat free waffles, skim milk, lipton ice tea (directions say to use 2/3 cup of mix with 64 fl. oz water. I only use 1/3 cup) romaine lettuce, low fat salad dressing, potatoes, ketchup, large eggs, farina (cream ofwheat), granola, oatmeal, canned peas, canned corn, ramen noodles, whole wheat pasta, regular pasta,  stuffing mix, whole grain boil-in-a-bag rice, white rice, fruit cocktail in light syrup, canned peaches, low fat graham crackers, honey nut cheerios, bananas, canned chunk light albacore, canned chicken (98% fat free), fat free mayo, pam, low fat peanut butter, jelly, whole wheat bread, broccoli.

I am 5'7 and I weight 208 lbs. My boyfriend (we live together) is 5'6 200 lbs. About five months ago we were going to the gym daily, eating Atkins style. I was 185 lbs at my lowest and he was about 180 lbs. When we moved in together and started school again we dropped the gym and stopped eating Aktins. I don't really see anything unhealthy or wrong about the food I am eating.....I do not work out so I guess it is good that I havent gained MORE than I have already. We are re-joining the gym this Friday and I am prepared to workout an hour a day 5 days a week and eat fruit, veggies, chicken, tuna and whole grains only. Hopefully I will be restored to my previous size 14 (not the 18 I am now) and possibly lower! I really hope I can do this. and that we can do it together.

Today I ate:

Breakfast: Farina, coffee with milk and 2 tsp sugar

snack: 1 cup of cereal with 1% milk

Lunch: 1 cup of clam chowder, side salad with low fat dressing, 1 roll, soda (eek!)

Dinner: whole wheat pasta with homemade sauce (have to get the bad food out of the fridge before friday!)

snack: 1 cup of fruit cocktail

Bad stuff is in BOLD

Clearing the "bad stuff" out of the kitchen doesn't mean it has to go into your stomach. My mother-in-law used to say, "Don't make a garbage pail out of your stomach." Which is funny because she'd eat everyone elses left-overs!

Just kidding about this. Glad you're off to a good start. Make the gym workouts easy to start and you'll enjoy it and keep it up!
