Kinda got the blues today, but it's probably because it's 'that time of the month' LOL. The workout was fine, but as usual I had to fight for those last 15 min.  My body is pretty used to 45 but the last couple of times I stretched it to 60 and it's not too thrilled about that. I think that is my absolute limit; another minute and I'd go nuts.  Too high of a boredom factor for me even with my ipod on.  I have such a short attention span LOL!

Happy Halloween everyone!  Time to retire my pumpkins now.

Great workout this evening; liking cardio party 2 a bit more this time.  Gave it all I had.

Rushing around to get everything done...time to get the popcorn popping and watch my guilty pleasure 'The Biggest Loser'.

:shooting_star:Exercise:  short toning segment on Exercise TV + turbo jam Cardio Party 1 w/weighted gloves

 :apple:Calorie Intake:  1451

Great day.  I had a couple people at work (that I don't get to talk to often) come up and tell me how great I look.  The one said I look like a whole new person LOL.  Hmmm...wait a minute - not sure if that's good or bad LOL!!  Anyway, you know how uplifting compliments can be! Yes!

I couldn't decide which turbo jam dvd to do tonight - so I chose the ole standby cardio party 1...my old friend.  I positively rocked it tonight.  You know how sometimes you just have all those endorphins - or something - kick in during your workout?  Well, something really kicked in tonight and I just had a ball. :shooting_star:  I wish every workout could be like that.  Totally pumped.

Come on Friday!!  WooHooooooo!

When you are use to 45 minutes on the elliptical and move to 60, those last 15 ARE tough!!!  It gets easier.  When you have time, keep pushing.  I usually try to self trans-myself;  Just place myself somewhere else and push harder!  My extended time situation comes with the stairmaster-my nemesis.  But you know what they say keep your friends close and your enemies closer!!

Congrats!!  You are doing GREAT.  Be happy that people notice!!  It's a good thing.

Thanks Dondi!  I don't know how you do it...that 60 minutes is all I can aspire to LOL!!!  I can't imagine going longer like you do - at least not in one session.  I would have to either split it up into 2 workouts, or finish on the bike.  But, I usually don't workout out longer than an hour to begin with, unless it's a weight training day on top of the cardio.  YOU, my friend, are a WARRIOR LOL! :shooting_star:

Once again I had a compliment at work today.  What a great week LOL.  A teacher I speak with every now and then pulled me aside today to tell me how proud she was of me.  I almost teared up. She kept telling me I was a totally different person and what was I doing, eating, etc - and wants my help.  ME! That is sooo funny!  Someone wants my help in losing weight! It's going to take awhile for that to sink in.  Really.

Yeah...I figured if I can't EAT the pie - I might as well have one around to look at LOL.  These little pics I found by doing a search on Yahoo for 'Thanksgiving gifs'.  Usually for each holiday I try to find some cute pics and store them in my photobucket account.  I can't help it, I'm addicted!

Aww Scoobees, that is sooo awesome. You are having a bunch of what the weight watchers gals call NSV's. It stands for non-scale victory. I like that term. You have just been rocking the NSV's...

Saturday

Well, fell asleep once again during last night's movie.  I made it thru about 1/2 of 'An American Haunting'...I wanted to see it soo bad.  Rats.  Maybe I'll find time to pop it in later.

This morning was my weekly weigh-in.  I am sooo thrilled.  I lost 3.5 pounds this past week!!! :shooting_star: Holy cow! :cow: I had a feeling it was going to be a good weigh-in; I didn't even feel really bloated though it was my period week.  I figured I must have been down more than usual.

I have a feeling it's due to really cleaning up my diet even more.  I'd fallen into the trap of depending on frozen entrees alot.  Lots of Lean Cuisines, Healthy Choices, South Beach, & Kashi meals.  Sometimes once...sometimes even twice a day!  Ever since my son left for college, I don't find many reasons to actually cook meals anymore.  My hubs works his regular day job and then we have a used car lot that he attends to right after that, usually till real late.  So, with no one to really depend on me for meals, I started taking the easy way out.

I started feeling really guilty about putting some of that junk in my body a little too regularly - once in awhile fine...but daily?  No.  I got out my ole George Foreman grill and started grilling turkey burgers, chicken breasts, lean cuts of steaks, etc and adding tons of veggies and sometimes a small baked potato.  Wow!  What a difference.  Talk about getting filled up for a change!  Those little entrees don't hold a candle to real foods.  Lots more bulk in my tummy...no more hunger pains.  I KNEW this already...but it's so easy to take the easy way out LOL.  Lazy me.

I'm sure some of my loss is due to losing water weight.  I was probably retaining extra water because of the sodium content in some of those frozen dinners.  I guess last week was all the proof I needed.   I feel better, feel fuller, and the scale went down even more!

Till later....

:shooting_star::shooting_star:3.5 POUNDS!!!!!!!!!! WOOOOOW!! Thats a HUGE loss Scoobs!!:shooting_star::shooting_star::shooting_star:

You might as well be on the Biggest Loser with that weight loss!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

How awesome do you feel right now??? Good for you!! That's wonderful! I can't wait until the day I can get my diet cleaned up for good and not depend on prepared meals and snacks and the random french fry at work that falls on the counter! i find myself eating alot of frozen stuff too, is it really that bad for you? I had no idea. I thought the veggie burgers and gardenburger wraps and lean cuisines I eat were good for my body. Guess not, according to your last weigh in! Makes you think about stuff though.

CONGRATULATIONS SCOOBS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:shooting_star::shooting_star::shooting_star::shooting_star::shooting_star::shooting_star::shooting_star::shooting_star::shooting_star::shooting_star:

I am on fire?????  YOU ARE THE ONE ON FIRE!!!!!  Great job!!!!!  Just a lot of exercise and watching what goes in the ol' pie hole and all melts off!!!

I wanted to reply here because I wanted to make sure I answered your question. Santa Clause 3 was good.  I liked it.  I took my son who is 7 because my daughter was a brat and I was not about to take her.  He enjoyed it too.  It is pretty much like the other two, a bit corny, but fun and innocent.

I am so happy for you and the weight you are taking off.  Keep it up.  It is nice to have your support!!!

Ahh, American Haunting! Did you get to finish it yet Scoobs? I thought it was sooo good, we watched it at my house, me and some friends from school, on Halloween night. It was creepy...and sad.

Dondi is right. You are totally on fire  Wow, 3.5 pounds in one week is so amazing! You rock, chick!

Wow!  Thanks guys!!!

OWF - I like veggie burgers too LOL!  My problem was that 1-2 meals per day lately were usually a Lean Cuisine or something similar.  I really liked the South Beach ones because they have a great balance between the protein content and good carbs.  But I just got to thinking of all the other added stuff in these dinners.  Can't be good.  I am just trying to get a little more 'real' food in me now and am amazed how full I get...and how much better I feel.

Dondi - Yes you are on fire!! Every day I look at your diary and those pounds keep coming off.  Thanks for your review of The Santa Clause - I totally love corny holiday movies!

Clarinetgurl  - I didn't get to finish American Haunting yet...but now I want to since you said it was good LOL! I even fell asleep during The Omen (the new remake) the other night too!  I am getting OLD.  I totally adore all your cute pictures!!!

But again, thanks to all you guys that keep cheering me on. You make me feel so good about myself.

It was just last Saturday when I was so excited to reach the 160s - 169 to be exact. And now the scale reads 165.5 and I can't believe it.  I really did get on it 3 times.  I can ALMOST visualize my goal of 135.  Almost.  That's too daunting to think about.  Quite a long way to go yet.  But I know now how possible it all is.  Just like Dondi said - lots of exercise and watch what goes in your pie hole LOL!!

I totally slept in really, really late today.  I feel bad about that.  Still don't have all my work done...and today was supposed to be my zig zag higher calorie day and I don't think I can even fit in the calories.  Oops.

Cardio Party 3 kicked my butt today.  Awesome.  I am following a turbo jam challenge on the beachbody forum.  I'm not part of it, just following their workout schedule as close as I can.  Anything to stay motivated LOL.

Time to get the laundry going again...till tomorrow!  That reminds me - Kirstie Alley is on Oprah tomorrow!  She vowed to come back on Oprah in a BIKINI after successfully following her Jenny Craig program.  Last I heard she lost 75 pounds.  I can not wait to see!

So did you see her!!  Doesn't Kirsti look great!!!  But here is my question----why did she not take off the robe, and what was that black thing hanging down her belly???  I missed the first five minutes of Oprah, but caught the recap.  Luckily I got an elliptical machine.  A lady just got off one as I got to the machine so I grabbed it.  What made me sick is that she did not wipe it down---gross---I always wipe the machines before and after I get on.  Just yesterday I got off the elliptical machine and I was really sweaty and I was going to wipe it down and a lady just got right on.  I said, "Oh, I was going to wipe that down."  She said, "oh that is ok" and just got on it with my sweat all over it.  EWWW SO GROSS!! Why would someone want to exercise in my sweat??? YUCK!!!

Anywho what got me really mad was that father of the "use to be" fat chick.  What a jerk.  I want to sit on him!!  What a jerk.  This is what makes the world and evil place.  How could he say he was ashamed and embarrassed of his own daughter just because she was heavy?  What happened in his childhood to make him such a jerk!!  The girl looks great now, but if you really look at her she looks so sad.  She even said she got gastric bypass  so her dad would love her.  What an #%@&!!! I hate people who take others dignity away from them.  Put me in a room with him and I will teach him a thing or two!!  He said he was ashamed and embarrassed by his own daughter.  Well Elanor Roosevelt said that no one can make you feel inferior without your consent.  It shows his character---a weak man--as weak as they come.  He does not have the ability to truly be a man and accept his daughter for who she is because if he did, she would have been able to take off the weight on her terms.  Then he disguises it as "we were worried about her health"  Well guess what--no you weren't because if he was, he would have considered her mental health--something he destroyed by his stupidity!!!!  What a jerk!!--trust me there are other words I want to use!!

My father tried to give me havoc about my weight years ago and I killed that right away.  I basically said that if he continues to say anything about my weight he will not longer see me because I will not subject myself to his insults.  Further, I told him that he needed to be more concerned with his weight instead of mine and when he took off 100lbs he could then say something to me.  Needless to say, this was the last time he lectured me about my weight.  We will have two way conversations regarding weight, but it is never solely directed toward me.  I do not stand for people treating me different or inferior to them because I have made the choice to be heavy.  Well, except my grandmother, but that is only because she is old and I would hate to give her a heart attack by being tough with her.

Scoobee keep up the great work!!!  I am so proud of what you are doing!!!

Just back online after the weekend (never seem to have time to post then).

Congratulations on the 3.5 lbs!!!!!

And an even bigger congrats on the food choices!    We all know to eat fresh fruits and veggies, lean meat, whole grains, low fat...........but so often we reach for convenience in our busy, stressful lives!

Yeah for you, Scoobees!!!!!!

Keep up the great work..........you will be at goal before you know it.    And I better get my butt in gear or you will beat me to the 150's:tongue:

Dondi  - Thanks for the compliments!  Kirstie looked awesome!  I didn't see the black thing hanging that you mentioned...she did say something about her 'stripper panyhose' falling down - could it have been something like that?  I kinda figured she wouldn't leave her robe off long, you could tell she was very uneasy.  I can't blame her though; it must take a heck of a lot of guts to come on a show viewed by zillions in a bikini LOL!  Her hips & thighs still looked a bit big - but if I could look like her at 55 years old I would be thrilled!!  I just love her attitude and personality; she's insane LOL!

And a big EEEEEWWW YUK for anyone who doesn't wipe their sweat off machines in the gym.  And double EEEWW for the person who wouldn't let you wipe off yours before she got on!!  What is wrong with people?!  That's just sick!

Back to today's Oprah - OMG...the father of the used-to-be-fat-chick!  I was in tears for that poor girl.  I was praying he would answer YES when Oprah asked if he could accept her at her present weight or even if she gained another 10...and he said NO.  How could he call himself a father...or even human being for that matter??!!  For her to have felt unloved her entire life by her family because of her weight, just plain sad.  And for him to disguise it as 'worried about her health'.  Yeah, sure.  What a freakin' slime bucket.  And then for her to have such risky surgery just to gain her father's love.  Trust me, I wanted to sit on him, too.

Hisgal - Thank you for cheering me on!!  Today was grocery shopping day and my cart whizzed right by those frozen entrees.  I am trying so hard to avoid that stuff.  Just like you said, we all KNOW what we SHOULD be eating, but it's so easy to get caught up in convenience foods.

And I just came from YOUR diary and I don't think I have a chance at all in beating you to the 150s LOL!!!! You are almost there!!!  Congratulations!!!!!:shooting_star:

GREAT JOB!!!  I am proud that you exercised instead of sleeping!!!  It may be hard to sleep after all that exercise but it just shows your dedication!!!  Just keep your eye on your goal!!!

So if you and I had the same feelings about that "father" I am sure almost everyone did too!!  I almost cried too when I saw the segment.

I feel bad for anyone who feels they have to resort to surgery to take off weight, HOWEVER, after today I understand it. After my behavior toward food today I am ready to make an appointment:angry:. Food is a best friend and worst enemy. I would never judge anyone who resorted to it, but I have more respect for the people who can lose a great deal of weight without it.  That is just my feelings however.  Still, people who lose it with the surgery have to be commended for making such an inside altering decision.

Keep up the great work!!!

Thanks Dondi...sometimes dedication can be evil, too LOL.  I probably should have went to bed.  What I didn't add to last night's entry was that I actually re-injured my knee.  I don't remember exactly what I did, but I came down from either a jump, or kick - and landed funny.  I let out a yelp (enough to scare the dog) but continued on to finish the dvd.  It didn't really hurt much after the initial jolt, but I knew this morning would probably be bad.  Yep.  Pretty swelled once again, can't bend it fully, yadda yadda, same old story.  It's to the point that I don't even care anymore.  I didn't get this far to just quit.  If hubs has to hold me up, I am still going to do this.

That's probably quite an asinine attitude.  But I am so sick of complaining and dealing with it.  Tonight I will try a mix of bike and elliptical.  Neither one seems to have aggravated it in the past; it's just the darn high impact moves of my beloved Turbo Jam LOL.  Why I don't just stay low...I don't know.  Friggin' Idiot.

Thanks again for the encouragement, Dondi!

Hey Scoobees-
Sorry to hear about your knee injury.  I too had knee pain, I think mostly because I overused  them (12 mile runs, 20 mile bike rides, 5 miles on the rowing machine, you get the picture).  They had been achy for months, then I ran into a friend who is an athlete and he is having hip replacement at age 40 (my age) from years of overuse, he said that he wished that he had started taking glucosamine chondroitian years ago. Previously I had thought of it as something for older people but I started taking it that afternoon, I am doing more cardio than ever and lifting weights and I am not having the throbbing in my knees.  I don't know if there is a connection, but if I forget to take one I get out of bed and take it.  Have you considered taking it?
Keep up the good work!

Hey Scoobs,

I agree about the glucosamine chondroitin.    Used to be, that if I got down on the living room floor, I couldn't get back up again without crawling to the couch/sofa to pull myself up.    I got into the habit of taking them and started feeling better.   Once, when on antibiotics, I forgot to take them (too busy trying to remember to take the antibiotics on schedule) and suddenly my knees were hurting again-big time.    That answered my question about whether they were helping or not!   My son-in-law was having trouble with his knees too (at about 28 yrs old) and started taking it.   Really helped him too.   Why didn't I think to mention that to you?

Have I told you guys lately how great ya all are???  Thanks for your concern and advice; you're the best! :cph:

Phoebe & Hisgal - Thank you for reminding me about that supplement!  I was going to start taking it years ago when I was a very avid exerciser with knee pain...and somehow forgot about it along the way.  Thank you - thank you!  Hubs & I are on the way out, so we will stop and pick some up.

No exercise today.  Hubs came home early and put his foot down - so to speak LOL.  I know he thinks I'm crazy, but if you've never had a weight problem you couldn't possibly understand.  You start having great successes and get an injury - and someone just says 'Well, don't exercise' as if it's as simple as that.  It's not.  All those old feelings come flooding back.   And of course, I go off the deep end with my thinking...I'm going to gain weight back, what if I can never exercise again, if I can't do turbo jam again I'll just die, etc.  Did I mention I'm quite the drama queen?

On the way to the store...Thanks again guys!

Scoobs,

sorry about your knee. I hear you, I am only 29 years old and I am starting to have slight knee problems. They start hurting during and after class and work sometimes on random days.  My parents have both complained of knee problems so it might be genetic. I am thinking of starting to take a vitamin for it too. Doing some research first. I will let you know what I find out-if anything!

OWF - If you do find something interesting during your research, let me know.  I'm grateful for any info at this point.  I am sorry to hear you're starting to experience knee problems, too.  I was 32 when I joined the gym and started taking all those aerobic classes that eventually led to those problems.  Years later when I quit working out - the pain quit, too.  Of course the weight all came back...figures.

We just got back from the store and of course there was a complete myriad of products on the shelves all claiming help for painful joints.  I probably should have done more research before buying...the one thing I learned was that because these are unregulated supplements, there is no quarantee of the quality and actual quantity of the substance even in the product.  That really sucks. And it's not like the stuff is cheap.  I guess all I can do is hope.  I bought a product called Flex-a-Min Complete.  It contains (supposedly) the glucosamine HCL (1500 mg), chondroitin sulfate (1200 mg), and MSM (1600 mg) that I've been reading about.  Anything I've read so far also says it could take at least a month or more to feel any results.  So, at $25 month...it won't be cheap.  But if it works in the long run - worth it's weight in gold LOL.

Good Morning!

I hear you about the exercise. I was roller blading in July and had a major wipe out and cracked all my ribs, ended up getting laser eye surgery and couldn't exercise or move much for about 8 weeks. It drove me absolutely crazy!! No matter how much it hurt I still walked though. Very gently lol but I walked.

My husband works for a drug store chain and they recommend the  glucosamine and apparently people have had good results with it.  Personally I have never taken anything like that so have no opinion. Sometimes it is worth the try.

Anyway have a fabulous day!

Love Cool

Scobees that weight loss is awesome. Sorry I didn't get in here sooner to tell you how thrilled I am for you.

I'm really sorry about the knee. My right knee cracks and gives me problems once in awhile. It seems to be much better since I lost over 50 pounds. Every once in awhile it reminds me it's there, though.

I tend to get medical information from researchers and a couple medical sites I go on regularly. If I learn anything new, I'll let you know.:dog:

Oh Yeah I was watching LOLOLOL!!!!!!!!!  How silly sometimes.  Here I am flinging loads of laundry in the wash...flying thru my workout...and cooking up a storm real quick so I can sit on my big butt and watch a 2-hour Biggest Loser Special!

I made it...only about 2 min late.  Hubs had some sort of country music video program on and I was like ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? Channel 3 please!!!

I was so sorry to see Bobby go.  He seems like such a warm & geniune person.  He looks great now, too.  Those 2 new people that joined were starting to bug me LOL.  I guess they were just used to doing things on their own.  And what fantastic jobs they did!  And what's up with the 20 pound loss this week??? Geez, I thought we were done with those kinds of numbers!!

Speaking of losses, I'm nervous about weighing in on Saturday already.  This knee thing is really playing with my head.  With no exercise yesterday, and a sub-par workout this evening...and whatever the next couple days hold...I don't expect to really see a loss this week.  And that makes me so sad.  I do realize it can't be helped, and I have to heal...but PLEASE don't show a gain!  Tomorrow is supposed to be my zig zag higher calorie maintenance day...how can I feel good about eating at a maintenance level when I'm not really exercising??  I guess I'll just hang in there and do what I can do.

:shooting_star:Exercise:  50 min cardio (30 min elliptical + 20 bike)

Thanks Skipper - we must have posted the same time.

Mine is more of a chronic thing.  It happened ages ago when I was a gonzo gym rat.  Subsides if I don't exercise...figures.  I was hoping the more weight I lost - the less of a problem it would be.  But, apparently if I don't quit the high impact moves - it won't either.  And I am quite bullheaded...hubs can testify to that LOL!

It only gave out a couple times at work today...so I snuck in a workout.  Nothing major, but it at least helped my spirits!

And thanks in advance if you find out any medical info - totally appreciated!

Scoobees, can you wear a knee brace? I have a friend who has an extensive knee surgery history. He still plays hockey regularly. He has a really unobtrusive knee brace he wears when playing or doing high impact stuff. Maybe you could have something like that made. It might be covered by medical insurance. Just an idea.

I get antsy when I can't Turbo Jam. I have been swimming on weekends. I think the change in routine is what helps my weight continue to go down. But...after a long swimming session, I still want to turbo. It's so addicting.:dog:

You two!!!

Almost everyday, I consider buying TurboJam because of the weight you have both lost and also because of how great you feel afterwards!! But my fear is I won't do it because I have way too much other stuff going on and that is a weakness of mine-piling my plate too high and overloading my schedule!!:dizzy:

I am so glad it works for you, this winter I might consider getting that or YogaBootyBallet. That is something that looks like a lot of fun to me!!!!! Have either of you tried that??

OWF,

I saw that infomercial a few weeks ago, and thought about ordering Yoga Booty Ballet.   It didn't look at high impact as Turbo Jam.    I thought maybe my knees and bad back could take that better.   I'd love to hear any feedback on it too.   I checked out the exercise section of this forum right after I saw the infomercial, but only a few comments on some thinking about ordering it.

Skipper - I actually already have a knee brace tucked away somewhere.  It was from another time way back when I was really struggling to restart an exercise program.  Way more painful that time, too.  But my orthopedist at Cleveland Clinic sent me next door to the rehabilitation dept to have one fitted for me.  It would probably be a great idea to wear it during TJ.  D'oh!  You'd think I would have thought of that LOL!  Thanks, you are always so helpful!  I am ALREADY itching to do TJ!  At work today, I was hearing some of the songs in my head (Hey - at least not voices!!!!) and I wondered if it was stable enough to give it a try.  I will probably wait a couple more days and keep on with the bike or elliptical till then.  It really is amazing how much I miss doing that workout.  It's a real joy.:rainbow:

OWF & Hisgal - I actually saw Yoga Booty Ballet on the shelf at Wal-Mart last weekend.  I thought it was only offered via infomerical? I don't know anything about the workout; just what I saw on TV a couple times.  It didn't look high impact at all; maybe more of a yoga & toning focus?

I can't help it...Turbo Jam rocks my world LOL.  There was supposed to be a couple new TJ workouts released soon...some posters on the beachbody forum thought it was today...I will definitely check later.  You KNOW my order will be placed LOL.  Just because I can't do it right now...whatever LOL!!!!

Scoobees,

I googled "Yoga Booty Ballet reviews" and most all of them were positive....some extremely positive.   Some raved about the way it got rid of the saddlebags and the stomach pouch.   Certainly my problem areas!   So, I went on Amazon and ordered it, with free shipping.   I'll let you all know what I think when I have tried it for a while.    Isn't it from the same company that puts out Turbo Jam?

Hisgal - Yep - same company.  I was just at beachbody.com to order the new turbo jam dvds that came out today - and I noticed Yoga Booty Ballet was there.  Definitely review it for us...sounds like it could do me lots of good too!

Thursday

:shooting_star:Exercise:  30 min elliptical

 :apple:Calorie Intake:  1488

I finally got home after 10:00 pm and had to resort to only a 30 min workout.  Better than nothing for sure!  My knee didn't give me much of a problem so I'm a bit optimistic about that.

Tomorrow is FRIDAY!!!!

YES SKipper!!!!!!!!!  They came out last night - I posted it right away in your diary in case you checked back in here!!!

:grin::grin::grin::grin:

One thing - I just got an email from Beachbody today for 15% off the new dvds!  But I already ordered them last night!  UGH!  Talk about jumping too fast.

I hope you checked your email first...if I would have known earlier I would have let you know.

And I actually got an email order confirmation from beachbody today!  Imagine that?  Their ordering department must be shaping up over there:grin:!

Woo Hoo! I'm so excited. I checked my e-mail, no discount. I think I'll wait a couple days to see. I lost out on the free weighted gloves because I was so eager to buy the max. results package. I had to purchase them separately. They were worth every penny, but stiil...

I already have a pilates ball, but having an extra one won't hurt. The one video is an hour! Wow.:dog:

Me too!!!  Never in my life would I have thought I would be so excited about an exercise dvd release LOL!!

I would wait too.  I totally jumped the gun.  I've been checking over at the beachbody forum for weeks just in case someone knew the exact release date.  Rumours were flying...finally this one was true.  I just didn't think...click, click and ordered them.

I already have a ball, too.  I've never used it much, but I think THIS one will see alot of action!  A 45 min and a  60 min workout!!! Yeah!  Bet they'll be tough - I hope so!

You guys are cracking me up. I wish I could get that excited about exercise. I mean, I do enjoy walking on my treadmill...don't get me wrong...and I enjoy how I feel afterwards...but I don't look forward to it with nearly the anticipation that you guys do TJ.

Hence, why I am still sitting here reading posts instead of walking. No, I'm really putting off playing clarinet, not walking. I feel like I should practice before I let myself walk...and I don't wanna practice! I'm just not in the mood...

CG - you never fail to crack me up!  Trust me, I've never been excited about exercise in my entire life...but TJ makes me want to stick with it, and once I drag myself in front of the tv and pop in a dvd, in a matter of minutes I'm actually happy to be exercising.  It's simply the combination of its creator's - Chalene - cheerful & funny personality...good music...cool moves - and results.  It's a sweaty challenge that you really look forward to.  I would never have imagined me saying something like that, ever.

Friday

:shooting_star:Exercise:  60 min elliptical

 :apple:Calorie Intake:  1475

With tomorrow mornings weigh-in hanging over me (LOL), this was my 'last chance workout' again.  I REALLY need to stop watching The Biggest Loser!

It probably wasn't a good idea for my knees to stick it out for a whole hour, but the tunes were jamming and I was in a great mood due to it being Friday!!!

I guess that's it till tomorrow.  Have a great weekend everyone!!!

Saturday

Weigh in day...Drum Roll please...

I am down 2 more pounds!!!  :star::star::star::star:

What a relief.  I was a bit worried with missing a workout, and the other workouts being a bit less intense due to my knee issues. And no turbo jam.

That gives me a total loss of 47.5 pounds so far!!  Weeeeee! Current weight 163.5.  I just may break into the 150s in a couple more weeks! :ribbon:  That would be mind-blowing to me.  I just may have to buy myself that new Christmas outfit after all.  Why not show off a little, right? :rainbow:

When I started this diary I had hoped the one thing that would come out of this would be the accountability factor.  And it certainly has worked.  I just wanted a place to come to to jot down my feelings, log in some exercise, and track my progress.  It didn't matter if anyone else read it...but I sure am glad others did and continue to do so! It really helps knowing :cph: is here...and that I have to log in and post my daily stuff.  Before I reach for that cupcake (or whatever sinful thing is calling to me) my weight loss diary is in the back of my mind saying Nooooooooooo!  And when I feel like blowing off exercise for the day - I know that I would have to report that in this diary, too.  THAT is what I was looking for.

:heart::cph::rainbow:

Ok, end of rambling.  Off to get my Mom some groceries and do a bit of baking  later. I have a recipe for an easy, crustless pumpkin pie that I want to try before the holiday.  165 calories/slice.  Since today is my zig zag maintenance day - I will totally have a piece!

Till later.

:shooting_star:Exercise:  40 min upper body weights + 30 min bike

I'M SO HAPPY FOR YOU, TURBO JAM BUDDY!!!!!

I broke down and got myself a Christmas present today. I'm giving you permission to get yourself something for Christmas. I recommend getting something slightly tight so you'll get the longest use out of it.

What size are you if you don't mind? I have some awesome clothes barely worn. Maybe we should do a clothing exchange. I don't have any Scooby shirts, though.

I also got the e-mail with the Turbo Jam Discount. I ordered it today, although with the holiday, it probably won't process until Monday. Now the wait. It is like Christmas.:dog:
