I am a 40 year old, happily married mother of two teens. I have been working out my entire life....currently strength training for over seven years...am a former aerobics instructor...and also a physical education teacher. Three years ago I suffered a ruptured brain aneurysm..which normally either kills, or leaves it's victims with some kind of lasting problem. I was left only with an extreme appreciation for life! Shortly after I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. It doesn't seem fair...I am not overweight..always exercise...and have no family history. I think now that I had it for several years as I was always tired. I struggle everyday with food. I was always a big eater to support exercise. Now I have to watch most things, and watch portion sizes. My doctor treats me strictly because I am young. Instead of losing weight..I actually struggle a little. Maybe it's the 40 year spread..I dunno. Perhaps I'll log my ups and downs right here!!!
