Today, I have got home from work with a headache from #%@&!, I'm shattered from a busy day, not eaten since morning and finally get home, the joggers go on, the feet go up and I spend the rest of my afternoon sat on the sofa (on the computer). Even as I am typing this I can feel my eyes starting to drop. But I know that at some point this evening I am going to have to get off my #%@&! and do some exercise, whether it's a jog, or a Zumba DVD, I need to do something. Basically, I have decided to do an online diary in the hope that being even more accountable will embarass me into sticking with it. I promise that I will be honest in what I post as to weight loss and what I have eaten daily. I will start by updating my weight figures:

Age: 26
Height: 5'9"
Date: 16th Sept 2011
Weight: 11stone 10lb OR 164lb
Muscle%: 37.2
Fat%: 26.1
BMI: 24.1
BMR: 1571

My goal is to get down to 10stone (140lb). I would have liked to have done it by the time I go on vacation but i ahve left it too late for that so I now plan to complete this by christmas.

I know I am not huge but I want to be comfortable and I know where my downfalls are. I tend to eat my emotions, if I'm sad I eat, tired I eat, bored I eat, stressed I eat, happy I eat. I think this is largely down to how I ahve been brought up, though I can't blame this completely. I was brought up that I should eat everything on my plate and anything left is a waste, and when I was upset, I was 'rewarded' with a choc ice or a chocolate bar. This is a BAAAAAD pattern that I need to break. I need to find new ways to deal with how I feel. I also need to execise more, I find it so easy to think what exercise I will do while I'm at work, but when I get home, I want to veg out!! So again, I will update daily as to what exercise I am doing. I also want to up my water intake. I will be aiming to eat 1200 calories a day, and for info of anyone reading this, I won't be counting fruit and veg (I know it has calories, but if I count it, I tend to reach for chocolate instead).

I will update every evening with that days food intake and what I ate and when. I know this might get boring, but again, it keeps me accountable.

Ok, now it's late enough that I won't be eating anymore, I can post what I have had...

0730 - alpen light bar - 60 cals
0930 - warburtons thin and scrape of butter - 120 cals
1340 - alpen light bar - 60 cals
1500 - cupcake - 300 cals
1500 - cupa soup and flatbread - 310 cals
1530 - apple
1900 - pasta, veg and a little cheese - 350 cals
1930 - mini milk - 40 cals
1930 - pear
1930 - single finger drifter bar - 100 cals
2000 - orange
TOTAL: 1340 cals
Drank 1.4 litres of water plus diet soda
Didn't manage exercise today, aiming to do some tomorrow morning before work!! Looking at this list of food, I think I might just put a list of everything eaten ad total calories rather than individual calories. I have weighed and measured everything I have eaten too and the cupcakes were homemade with the calories totalled by me.

Here's hoping tomorrow goes ok!!
