Dear Frank,

Ahhhh, things have finally settled down!  And I am almost caught up on homework!  It is hard to take classes online when you don't have access to the internet.  All is well, I weighed in at 142, which is great!  And I am basically back on the diet, we are going to have a big family get together this weeked, and I know I would cheat so bad, so am kind of waiting until after that to jump back on all the way.

I have been going through all my old things and throwing away alot of things that we dont really need, it feels amazing and takes so much off my shoulders, who knew something that simple would help so much?  One hting I am tired of is going to walmart to get things we don't have, I go there at least every other day.  At least we have a couch now, it is nice to have a couch.  Well I need to get more done while baby lvoe is sleeping, talk to you later,

Dear Frank,

Back on the diet sucessfully today.  I'm guessing I had about between 1200 and 1300 caories for the day.  No exercising besides running around the house after my 17 month old and unpacking.  I drank about 50 oz today of water.  Not bad, it does make me pee all the time but I guess that is ok.  I'm still shooting for about 80 oz a day.  I made banana bread today and I only had 1 slice.  It was so good, I wanted more but I didn't give in!  Oh yeah wegihed in at 143 this morning, no surprise there.  Talk to you tomorrow.

Dear Frank,

Yesterday was not a good day for the diet.  I usually eat 5 times a day, the first 4 totalling about 600 calories and then dinner.  Yesterday I didn't eat anything until almost lunch and then had about 700 calories for that one meal.  All I can say is I love pizza.  So you can imagine my surprise when I get on the scale this morning and it says 140.  Oh well it goes up and down and right now it is down!  It is making me do really well on my diet today.  2 meals and 280 calories for the day.  Still low on water intake but  that seems to be a continusous battle for me.  I want to get a little exercise in while baby is taking a nap.  But I need to get other things done first, like laundry and homework.  Gotta run!

Dear Frank,

Yesterday was a sucess...or so I thought until the maintance people came and had to turn off the power while they did a repair.  Good news...the repair was done finally!  bad news it did something to the internet and I missed a very important meeting with my online group for school.  This made me upset and so I indulged in a little snack, wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't so late.  But I am still holding steady at 140 so all is well.  My goal for today is to exercise.  I haven't been able to in a while and I really miss it.  The best I will be able to do is a video at home, but those are still a good workout.  I recently got netflix and we can watch stuff on our tv instantly.  There are tons of different viedoswe can watch even exercise ones.  So if you know of any good ones let me know so I can try them out.  Today I want to do this yoga pilates one.  We will see how it goes.

Dear Frank,

So far so good today, about 400 calories for the day and it is after lunch!  Weighed in a t 141 this morning, no surprise, ate out last night and had a snack later.  I really need to start exercising that motivates me not to eat as much because I don’t want to waste all my energy.  Maybe I will be able to do some after homework because my husband doesn’t have to work today.  No big news, just busy with life and loving it!

Dear Frank,

Been off the diet for a while but today was a great first day back.  I ate no more than 1300 calories spread evenly throughout the day.  I did 1/2 hour pilates workout, plus the regular running around getting stuff done.  I really really wanted to eat extra but I held strong.  My weight is still 142, which is nice to know that once I get down to my ideal weight it will be easy to maintain.

I'm renewing my goals since it is kind of like a new begining for me.  Right now I am at 142.  before I had Cortney I was about 130.  At my smallest I was a size 4, but after having a baby my goal is to get down to a size 6.  I'm pretty sure I can get down to 130 again and if that is at a size 6 instead of 4 I would be very happy with that.  But I think there is a chance I will fit into a 4.

Today was a great first day. I think it will really help me do good tomorrow becuase I dont want to ruin the good streak I have been on.  If all goes well I would like to be down to my goal weight by the end of september.

Here we go!

Dear Frank,

This is my post from yesterday. I was up late working on a group project and forgot to post.  Yesterday I weighed in at 141.  MY husband surprised me by coming home for lunch, and I ended up eating about 300 calories more than I should have.  But I balanced it out a little and it ended up being about 1450 for the day, not too bad.  I didn't get a chance to exercise like I wanted too, I did do alot of walking around, so that is good.  I will come back later and write up another post for today.

Dear Frank,

So far today I am doing pretty good.  Weighed in at 141 again this morning.  I have had about 600 calories for the day so far and have had like 40 ounces of water so far!  I did ½ hour of Pilates today.  The work out video is amazing for my abs.  they have been so sore and it was another tough work out today, love it!  I have eaten a little more calories than I should have so far today so right now I am going to write down what my diet should be so I have more of a reason to follow it.

Breakfast 200 calories

Snack 100 calories

Lunch 200 calories

Snack 100 calories

Dinner – for dinner whatever I want as long as it isn’t too much, I know if I eat too much, I have ruined everything I have done already today.

A dessert is fine if I eat it directly after dinner, if not no dessert.

Nothing to eat after dinner, which is usually about 6:30 or so.

80 oz of water

At least ½ hours of exercise

Obviously this is more of an ideal plan.  It doesn’t happen everyday but I get pretty close.  I got so much done today!  I finished a lot of homework.  Swept and mopped the floors.  Cleaned the entire kitchen.  Exercised, and I even have time to play around a little while my daughter is still asleep.  I love days where I feel like I get a lot done!  I’m going to go grab a nice big glass of water and sit and relax a little.

Dear Frank,

I know it has been a while, Ive done good on the diet, I've stayed between 1200-1500 calories the last couple days.  And I even got around to playing some tennis.  I used to play in highschool but that was over 7 years ago, so basically I suck.  But it got me running around, and I loved doing it.  I will have to go again soon.  Lately I have been tired, I have really noisy neighbors, the big problem is only at night.  Right now it is 2:30 in the morning and I'm wide awake.  I love the apartment but these nieghbors are driving me crazy.  I'm tired all the time becuase I sleep horrible.  I am not one to confront people.  I don't like burning bridges but I don't know what to do about these guys.  Anyone have any ideas what to do about noisy neighbors?

I'm very curtious to everyone around us.  We have a piano and I don't let anyone play it until 10 am.  I also dont do laundry or run the diswasher till then either because it is so loud.  Even though I wake up around 7:30 in the morning.

Ugghh, I don't know.  I'm too tired to thing right now.  I'm going to try and go to sleep even with the noise.  Let me know if anyone has tips for me, thanks

Dear Frank,

Done good so far on the diet, I upped one of my snacks to 200 calories and I might need to eat an extra snack becuase I'm just plain tired right now.  I am going to try to not eat more than 200 extra calories though, but I do need extra calories to keep up wtih Cortney on such little sleep.

So far today I am about 600 calories.  My guess dinner is going to be about 600 and that with an extra snack will bring me to 1400 calories.  Not too bad.  I have also decided only to weigh myself once a month.  It is hard not to get on the scale every morning but I think this way I will see more of an improvement over time which I think will help motivate me.  Seeing the scale go up and down everyday is kind of driving me crazy.  I haven't weighed myself since Friday, and it is kind of nice!

Dear Frank,

I needed more motivation, and guess what, I gave it to myself.  I signed up for a 5k this october!  I'm excited today is the first day of training.  I am right where I should be for calories - 300 for the day so far.  I'm going to go to the zoo later, and then do my training.  I'm going to use the couch-to-5k program.  I'm excited!  I have told alot of people too, so I think that will help me to stick to it better.  My goal is to run the entire thing without stopping.  yesterday I finished under 1400 calories.  And I got an amazing night sleep, thanks to my nieghbors who decided to go somewhere else and be loud all night.  Today is a good day.  Here we go...

Dear Frank,

It has been a couple days, becuase I found another site with a group that is really good about talking and motivating each other, plus it is easier to write down what I eat.  But I am doing good!  I completed the first week fo the couch to 5k program today!  It was a hot day today so the run was not all that fun.  But I did it!  I've been doing good eating wise.  But I changed to only weighing once a months o I am not sure if anything is paying off yet.  but I think it will.  I have a love hate relationship with running.  I hate running but I love the way it makes me feel.  It has always given me the results I have wanted in the past and I don't think it wil let me down this time.  Well next week is harder for the running, but at least it doesn't go too fast.  I think I will be ok.

Dear Frank,

Everything is going pretty well.  I'm doing good calorie wise.  I wish I could weigh myself to find out if I have lost anything but that will have to wait until August 9th - that seems like so  far away!  This week i start week 2 of couch to 5k program.  But I will be doing that tomorrow.  I only run 3 days a week which is nice but I feel like I am not getting enough workout time in.  So I think I am going to do some ohter kind of viedo on the other days.  But this week will be tricky,  It is finals week for my classes, it shouldn't be too bad  I just have 1 project and one big test but I am not doing any extra workouts until those are finished.  So far I have had 200 calories for breakfast,  right now I am going to go get a nice big glass of water!

Dear Frank,

Things are going ok, I did eat 2 extra oatmeal cookies yesterday, but it is ok, they were only 95 calories each.  I think I am finished with all but one class for the semester.  I have one more final and there are 120 questions on it.  Blahhhh.  I'm really not looking forward to taking it.  I think I will do good on it becuase I am doing excellent in the class but I just hate tests.  Today will be week 2 day 1 in my couch to 5k program.  Hopefully I will be able to run a little later in the day when it is not so hot.  I'm starting out good for today with 200 calories for breakfast, and yesterday I drank 60 oz of water! Which is alot considering I usually have been only getting 30 down a day.  I am just so busy with housework, school work, and Cortney I forget to stop and drink some water like I should.  But yesterday was  a good day, my goal today is to try and match what I did yesterday.

I'm going to sleep so good tonight!  I need to becuase I am taking my last final tomorrow, wish me luck!  arrggghhhh... I hate tests.  I'm glad I only have 3 semesters left after this one!  I can do it!

Dear Frank,

I got a soild 87% on the final!  I feel better.  But I have bad stress problems associated with tests.  Therefore I had about 700 more calories than I should have today - this has probably been my highest day in a long time, I don't think I broke 2000 though, so I don't feel too bad.  It is nice to have school over with for a couple weeks, it will help my stress level and that might help me lose a little weight!

No exercising today, the final I took was over 3 hours long, and that took all the time I had and more to myself.  But it is over yay!Talk to you later!

Dear Frank,

I finished week 2 day 2 of my exercise program, and I think I will do the 3rd day today instead of tomorrow becuase I know tomorrow is going to be a busy day.  Yesterday I was really lightheaded almost all day.  So I ate an extra dinner and today I am feeling much better!  I'm thinking of adding 100-200 calories more a day just becuase it is summer and I'm outside more and doing more stuff, I think my body needs more than I am giving it.  Doing good so far today!

Last couple of days have been really busy.  I got to see my brother again for the first time in a while, he was able to come on leave for a while.  It was great to see him!  My diet has been a little cruddy though, I have been around alot of family, and my family likes to eat.  Hopefully I will get a good day tomorrow and jump back on well.  I have nothing coming up in the next couple of weeks this should be a good time to really get in a good groove.  Well I think I am going to head off to bed, I'm tired.

Dear Frank,

I’m doing good I have just been really busy.  We are trying to break my 18 month old of the bottle, not easy.  I have got a renewed sense of wanting to lose weight the last couple days and I am setting a deadline of October 9th that will by the day of my 5k.  I will weigh myself Monday because that is weigh in day then decide how much I should push to lose for October.

I have done good for today I am about 600 calories for the day.  I used to eat 600 calories a day before dinner and then dinner and I am done but I have decided to add 100 calories because doing that for a week at a time has made me really light headed.  And I don’t want to take a couple days off to recover.  I am hoping by adding an extra 100 calories and drinking more water that it won’t happen again.  I want to get on a stable schedule so I don’t take time off.

Planning on running tonight.  I am getting better at running and breathing, which is good because it was hard for a while.  Tonight will be more running than I am used to so hopefully it goes well.  I will be running about 1 1/3 miles total, broken up by small bits of walking. But last time went really well so I think I can do it!  About 9 weeks until my 5k.  Next week I think I will be running a mile without stopping.  I know for some people that is easy but it is actually going to be big for me.  I cant imagine that I am going to be running a 5k in nine weeks…as long as I stick to the plan.

Dear Frank ( and everyone else),

My calves and ankles are really sore from running.  I did a workout routine today since I am not going to run and my ankles and calves were so tight while I was doing squats.  I am doing really basic stretches and not much of them.  Ever since i started running outside they have been killing me - any advice or stretches I could do would be great!  thanks,

Hi Kim!

I just wanted to let you know that I think it's fantastic that you're doing the C25K program.  I'm sure you will be very successful at it.  I read where your ankles and calves were bothering you.  Definitely ease up if the pain doesn't go away.  Slow to a walk or do a baby step jog.  Stretch after every run and everyday even if you're not running.  I look forward to reading about your first race.

weigh in today was 2 pounds down!  offically 140.  Awesome! feeling good today, and the good weigh in is plenty of motivation for me to do good today, so I am going to go for a 1200 calorie day.  I'm so excited that I have 10 pounds to go.  I know this might sound crazy but i have been thinking about it alot and I think I wasn't really pushing myself up until now.  I think somehow in my mind i never thought I could lose all the weight and I didn't want to fail, so i didn't really push.  I'm not sure what clicked in my mind but something kicked me into high gear, and now I think it is possible, and it will happen!  Feeling good today!

Hiker thanks for the encouragement.  It has taken alot of hard work, but it is really paying off!  Today is going to be a really busy day, we have a wedding to go to around noon and then tonight we are going to a Dave Matthews concert.  Some of our friends called up yesterday and said they had two extra tickets!  We found a sitter for Cortney and we are excited to get out and have some fun tonight!

Dear Frank,

Not such a great day but not too horrible.  I weighed in at 140, not bad.  But I am feeling sick today.  Horrible headache and stomach uneasiness.  Plus it is raining - so looks like no run - I might go tomorrow and the next day to try and make up for lost time.  1200 calories yesterday and another 1200 for today - it might actually be less becuase I have been feeling a little crudy - but I know by not eating at all will make me even more sick so I have been pushing some stuff down, but not much.

Dear Frank,

Feeling much better today.  I'm on track for a 1300 calorie day, but I might eat a little more - my goal is not to go over 1500, but I might eat more after I run, if I start getting a headache.  I have a mini goal for myself to get to 138 by monday.  Yesterday I weighed in at 140 and I was totally bloated so I should be able to make it.  Just need to do some working out and some good calorie days - meaning at the most 1500.  I'm not sure where my motivation is coming from and why it is so amazing right now but I am loving it!  I think it might be becuase I am just so close and have been doing so well!

Dear Frank,

I only have one diary but I have a couple challenges going on, that might be where you have seen my name before.  Doing good today I have 700 calories so far - right on track for a 1500 calorie day.  I want to go for another 1.5 mile run today.  I also need to get my push ups done by tonight.

Also on a good note clothes are fitting quite good right now .  My size 8 pants are fitting really good.  Fitting into a size 6 was my original goal!  I think I will make it before I get to my goal of 130.  As a prize as soon as I fit into my size 6 jeans I get to eat a snickers bar.  This is my favorite candy ever!  And I haven't eaten one since before I had my baby who is 19 months old.  I am getting so close to my goal though!  I am hoping my monday I will weigh 138.  Being in the 130's will be a huge deal for me - since I haven't been there for nearly 2 years.

Dear Frank,

note to self: do not eat a cheeseburger and then go for a 1.5 mile run.

I made it through but now I am just not feeling so good.  Lesson learned.  next time I will get a wrap instead.  But I did the 1.5 mile run all the way through again.  Slowly making progress towards that 5k!

Dear Frank,

Good start for the day!  Weigh in today was at 138!  Haha yes!  I'm happy about this!  8 pounds to go, dang I am so close.  I am officially in the 130s and this is amazing becuase my goal is 130.  Now it seems like my goal is really in view.  I am not hoping for too much this week, usually when I lose a little more weight than normal I end up having a week or two when I stand still and then go back at losing weight.  This is not to say I'm not trying....1200 calorie all week except for the weekend.  And I should be up to 2 miles for my 5k by this week!  I cannot believe the progress I am making!  I am also going to redo week 2 of the 100 pushup challenge.  I just want to build a little more strength.  Who knows maybe with a little work I can get down to 137, by next week.

Wow I cannot believe I am saying this.  In my mind I never thought I would get down this low - and I am not sure why I was thinking that.  But now that I have gotten rid of those thoughts the weight is dropping and I am doing better than ever!  I am going to be one hot momma when this is all said and done!

Dear Frank,

Something just happened that I thought was interesting.  I have had a hard day becuase I really wanted to eat more, so I decided to eat more at dinner than usual.  So I loaded my plate a little more full but I was eating and about 1/2 the way through the meal I started feeling full, I ate a couple more bites and had to stop, becuase I have trained myself to stop eating when I am full.  To make a long story short I only ate about 600 calories for dinner and was still in my budget of 1200 calories for the day.

I guess all the smaller portions I have been eating are finally paying off.  My body is now used to smaller meals and lets me know when I have had enough.   I have never been like this before - ever.  This is great!  And at the end of the day I am content with what I have eaten and proud of my body for not letting me cheat.

Dear Frank,

Spoiled again in my mischievous plot tonight.  I had a horribly busy day and I am already exausted even before my 2 mile run!  I finished my calories a little over 1200 calories but I wanted more like 1500 calories.  But in the middle of my bowl of pasta I ended up being full - curse you my amazing diet plan that is paying off.  hehe just kidding.  I think it is amazing how my hard work is really paying off.  I am eating fewer calroies and my body is rethinking what a portion size is, and for the better!

It is going to be busy the next little while.  My husband just started grad school.  I wanted to help out a little with money in the house so my husband doesn't have to worry about work and focus on school.  So I started my job today.  I am going to be a part time nanny - works out well because I can bring baby along with me.  I am nannying a pair of twins that are almost 2 years old - it is like watching triplets!  Holy cow it is crazy.  They are boys and mine is a girl.  Lukily they are all very good kids and get along very well.  And it is only for 5 hours at the longest.  But whew!  IT is only 15-20 hours a week- depending on how much they need me each week -  and I get to bring my daughter with me so I think it will work out ok, plus I will be making around 200 dollars or more a week to help pay the bills, and buy groceries.

I'm letting my food settle a little bit before i go run.  And I keep telling myself that I can do it! It will be my first time running 2 miles without stopping.  I am a little nervous about it but it should be a good run.  My motivation for the run is how good I am going to sleep tonight.

Dear Frank,

Last night I got all my workout clothes to change into, and just then my daughter started screaming in her room.  She hasn't been eating the last couple of days so I figured she was sick.  And this morning confirms it.  So instead of going on my run I stayed home and cuddled with her until she went to bed.  Being a mommy comes before losing weight.  Hopefully she gets better soon.  Luckily we will be home all day, so she can get plenty of rest.

Dear Frank,

Another busy day, and even though I wanted to get to 1500 calories at least I was so busy I only got to 1300 and my body is done eating for the night.  Feeling good about it though.  I don't feel as stressed about eating today as I have most days, and I still feel like I ate enough - or even more than enough.  The bad thing is I am exausted so much so that exercising is getting pushed out of the way.  hopefully I jump back on the wagon soon - I miss my runs.  Maybe I will go tomorrow even if I am tired.

Dear Frank,

After this crazy week I have decided to move some things around.  I am changing to mwf running and tts push up challenge.  I think this will work better.  Even though I have not been able to work out this week and I miss it, I am glad I took the time off,  I need some rest.  Things are quite crazy right now, and my duaghter is teething hard core - of course this on top of it all.  Poor baby - I wish those canines would just come in already!

Dear Frank,

Weight up to 139, grrrr but it was a tough week last week - lots of stress, I have spent alot of time thinking how to destress my life and I have already taken some major steps towards it.  So back to my usual week this week.  Aiming for 1200 calories today and a 2 mile run - if the weather allows, if it does not I will do my push up challenge today instead.  Been raining all morning hopefully it will stop by tonight when I have time to do my run.

Busy day yesterday.  We went a visited my husbands grandpa and one of my friends that was throwing a get together that we havent seen in a couple years, then we went and had dinner with our friend that has new born twin girls.  cute cute cute!  She has a son that is 6 months older than my duaghter and they were having alot of fun together.

Will check back in tomorrow...

Dear Frank,

just completed a 2 mile run!  Might not seem like much to some but for me it is huge - this is perhaps the first time in my life I can remember running 2 miles without stopping!  Here I come 5k!  I still have 6 weeks - I am so totally going to make it!

Dear Frank,

Did my push ups today already!  Feeling good about that!  I am going to try and have a more active day by cleaning alot - cleaning and watching baby burns alot more calories than just watching baby.  So on to my cleaning - I think I will tackle the kicthen cabinents first.  We have lived here for three months now and I just want to make sure and keep everything very organized I notice I have alot less stress then.

Dear Frank,

Well yesterday was my 3 year anniversary!  Love it, it has been the best 3 years of my life!  And looking forward to more.  We didn't celebrate yesterday, we are going to wait until this weekend.  My sister is going to take my daughter to visit my parents, so me and my superman get to have the weekend to ourselves.  We got some discount tickets for a local amusement park and are both excited to have some fun!  I stayed aroun 1400 calories yesterday - had a couple extra treats - it was a special day.  Anyway I am feeling a little more hungry than usual today.  I think I will add another 100 calories to lunch to try and prevent me from going on a binge.

Planning on going running tonight.  Another 2  mile run!  I cannot believe I am even saying that though, I have never really liked running until now- and now I am hooked.  Also the scale this morning was down to 137!  haha and boo ya!  I haven't been this low since early early in my pregnancy.  My husband also informed me that my tight jeans were not so tight anymore - not so good for him but great for me!
