Well, since I started the thread, I'll go first....
I'm a senior I.T. Project Manager with a 10 year old daughter who really keeps me on my toes, thus keeping me pretty young.
On April 19th, my little brother is getting married (actually, he ain't so little cause he just turned 39 today!). I purchased my bridesmaid dress one size too small as an incentive to lose weight.
I joined FL4I in the latter part of February. I am now into my 3rd Cycle using Beyond Calories.
My total weight loss goal when joining FL4I was 30lbs, but to achieve the look and feel that I want, my actual weight loss goal is really about 40lbs.
After a 15 lb weight loss (as of today), I can now zip the dress, but it's still a little tight. Hoping just before April 19th, I will be able to zip it, breathe in it, and do the "Electric Slide" for my FL4I buddy "Jcjon22".
I am a very undisciplined individual when it comes to food (love that sugar!). So, if I can do it, you can too!!

Hello. My name is Katie. I am 25 years old, single mother to a 5 year old boy and the love of my life named Nathan. I am currently going to school to be a medical assistant. Not my dream job, but something I have to do. I know I am going to further my education in the medical feild but not sure as to what. I want to work with mentally ill people.
I got pregnant when I was 19, and before then, I had been a vegitarian for 5 years. When I was pregnant my aweful craving was meat!! I blew up to 80 pounds heavier in 5 months. I have been on so many different diets since then, but I began this diet only being 15 pounds lighter than my all time highest weight, 250! This is the best diet I could have ever found and Its been since Feb 18 that i've lost more than 15 lbs! My goal is to be 150. When I was 170-180 I looked good, so I will be extatic at 150. I haven't set a goal date, it will happen when it happens.
And, I'm so glad I found this site!

this is me and my son about 3 years ago. I don't have many pics of myself =)

Hi all! I am new to this diet and this forum. My bestest friend Reeldreamr found this diet and support group and we are taking this journey together. I have struggled with my weight my whole life and am looking to take off these last 16 lbs to bring me to my goal weight of 135 lbs. I was about 200 lbs 13 years ago, but never actually reached my ideal weight. I have a wonderful boyfriend-the love of my life- and want to look and feel my best always. I want to be the healthiest I have ever been so I can feel sexy & confident in a bathing suit, have my pick of wedding gowns and be in tip top shape when it comes time to start trying to have a baby. I carry most of my weight in my hips, #%@&! and thighs and it drives me crazy! LOL! And I want to finally win this battle! This has to be one of the hardest things any person goes through-so I am glad we all have each other to lean on! The pic I attached is from a wedding I was in this past June, so fairly recent.Attached Image (viewed 1357 times):

I will try to attach a Picture today. I am also a single mom. I have a seven year old. I started gaining weight a few years ago and tried every diet available til I found this one last year and had success with it. I am back this year to try to finish losing the weight once and for all.
I have tried adding a pic but it does not show up. It says it is an attatchement and you have to open into another page. How do I make it show up on this post?
m
Hopefully with Rayna's help I can add a picture of a normal size soon!!!

Hi everyone,
I am a 40-yr-old mother, have been happily married for almost 18 years, and have 2 boys (8 and 10) and 2 almost 3-year-old pups. I work from home as a freelance editor, love cooking (eating ), reading, playng tennis, being outdoors, etc.
I have been carrying around the same stubborn 25 pounds or so, up and down, by 5-10, for 7 (?) years. I guess the highest nonpregnant weight I've gotten to is 170. When I started FL4I, I was 159. Now I'm 142. My original goal was 135, but I'm tending to think that it should be 130 now, as my body doesn't carry weight the way it used to .
It is nice to get the inside picture on all of you helpful and supportive folks .
(I'm afraid my Internet comfort level is not ready for picture sharing; sorry to be old-fashioned--too much Dateline or 20/20 .)Last edited on 28 March 2008 06:17 pm by losingwt

Hi I'm Sunshine !
I am a 55 year old mother of two sons and two daughters...a grandma to an 8 year old and two 4 year olds....and a wife to a wonderful man for 34 years. I like to hike, travel and read.
I started fl4i the first week of January 2008...I've done four cycles of fl4i and two cycles of Beyond Calories...I am now 9 pounds from my goal!! Hooray!
I was an overweight kid from an overweight family and went to WW when I was only eleven. I have had to carefully watch my weight, diet and excercise my whole life to keep my weight from creeping back up. I've tried most of the plans. When I hit midlife those plans stopped working for me and no matter what I tried I would quickly stall out on my weight loss. These diet plans really shake up the metabolism and work for me...my loss has been slow but I have lost pounds and a lot of inches. This forum has been a tremendous support to me...I love the camaraderie, accountability, information, inspiration, encouragement, understanding and belly laughs I have found here....It is so nice to not be doing this alone! My goal is to find a new way of eating that will maintain my best weight for life.

Hello,
I'm Shopaholic (46) , and yes, I do like to shop.
I'm originally from Germany and live now in Los Angeles since 12 years.
I have a lovely 15 year old daughter who just started puberty- life is not the same since, but I will keep her anyway! A funny, handsome hubby who is always in good shape, that's a reason for me to try to get there too, and a cute little bunny who likes to eat, like me.
I had a hysterestomy 2 years ago and since then my weight went up-up-up!!! Just before christmas I reaches 154 pounds, that was more then I weighed when I was pregnant. I decided to give WW a try. I checked online to see their program and stumbled upon WL4I. It appealed more to me than WW and I downloaded it right away and started the next morning.
I am now on my 5th cycle and I will stay on it until I reach my goal between 130 and 135 pounds. I'm now around 142 pounds and the weightloss is getting slower with every cycle, which I think is normal. I will do this plan in a modified form for hopefully a very long time.
I'm very sure that one of the reasons that I can stick to the diet is this forum. I'm glad that I found such wonderful companions on this food mission.
Thank you, to all of you .

Hi Everyone! My name is Sarah, I am 27 years old, a wife to my amazing husband, Jesse, and a mother to my beautiful 17 month old son, Cash.
I began packing on 8-10 lbs a year from 20-25 years old. At 26 I gave birth to our son and the battle of the bulge began! I weighed in at 185 lbs after having Cash and it has been an up-hill struggle to loose the pounds and get into a healthy weight range. I want to be a slimmer and healthier version of myself so I can be the best mother and wife I can be for my family...and for myself!
FL4I has taught me to think about the food that goes into my mouth...not only the portion size, but the quality of the food. I have completed 2 1/2 cycles with the Diet Generator and lost 9 lbs and 4 1/4" from my total measurements. I fell off of the wagon a little over 2 weeks ago, but have climbed back on a few days ago and am now using Beyond Calories to reach my goal of 135!
WE CAN DO IT!

Hi everyone. My name is Liz. I am about to turn 33. Sunshine told me everyone was getting to know each other here. I thought I would drop in. I live in Hawaii with my hubby, 14 yr old daughter, and 7 yr old son. Life3 is crazy right now, has been ever since January. My hubby got orders for Afganistan for a year, then I fractured my leg rollerskating. (Old school skates, not rollerblades) :) I was depressed enough from finding out my hubby was leaving for a year... but now I cant do anything for myself. (You should see my floors... they're aweful!!!) Enough whining!
Im not currently doing the diet, I think Ive gained weight since breaking my leg. I am relying on a 14 yr old for food... They had organic Oreos for breakfast yesterday. Its going great! (My daughter looked at the nutrition info and found they were more healthy than poptarts!!!) Oh well... I just wanted to pop in and let everyone know my status, and thanks so much to everyone who has been messaging me. Im sorry I had some of you worried. I can get around more now, so I can get to the computer easier. Ill be around.

Hi! My name is Dawn and I go by Amjacie, gotten from a combo of my kids names: Amber, Jacob and Gracie: 18, 16 and 5 years old.
My family owns a "Cheers" type bar and grill and just celebrated our 20 year anniversary.
When I had Gracie 5 years ago, I gained 80 pounds! I have tryed all kinds of diets and none have worked long term for me. I have high hopes for FL4I! I am currently on my 2nd cycle and have lost 10 pounds so far.
I am enjoying meeting everyone here and I think the support system here is wonderful!
This is a joke pic of me at Disney world a few months ago.

Hello Everyone.
I am 47, mother of three teenagers and married almost 20 years.
Like many I have been a yo-yo dieter for years, gain weight with each pregnancy and before I could loose it..yep I was pregnant again.
After my third child, I went to the extreme...started walking six miles a day with three children, teaching aerobics every day at the local Y.... I burned through tennis shoes about every three months, but boy was I skinny. Well, sadly I have always had a problem with finding the middle and tend toward complete apathy or over indulge. I developed plantar fasciitis about 12 years ago and that stopped me in my " mommy training for the Olympics state of mind" I started putting on weight again and could not figure out a way to loose it without exercise. Then I found LA weight loss and was able to loose without too much exercise...been there 4 times over the past 12 years, you think I would get it. I actually stayed the same weight for about two years and then last August my abdomen started getting larger ( doc said from hormones) and I put on about twenty five pounds in about six months. Horrible I know but I just gave up again.
The really crazy thing, I seem to do this every year or two, loose weight in the last part of winter keep off until the winter and start over again. It makes no sense, plus the older you get...wow is it hard to get off those extra pounds.
The good news...I started this diet, found the forum and asked a billion questions when I first started. The first week, thought I would never make it, as I am a starch person and not a protein lover. I am at the end of my third cycle now, down 16.5 pounds and have this great forum with all these wonderful people. I really, really want to not repeat this cycle anymore. I want to loose about 15 more pounds, maybe a tad more and I am adjusting to this diet very well.
Okay, that was way more than you wanted to know I am sure...but maybe it will help someone who thinks this diet will not work. My doctor even said I could not take this weight off given my history...well when I go in for my check up, he will be surprised.
My picture is of myself and my three kiddos December 2006, I do not have a recent picture of all of us at the same time. Imagine that with teenagers. They are 14, 16, and my son is almost 19 and heading for the marines in May.
Thanks so much to all of you for your encouragement and help along the way.
Thank you Rayna for re-sizing my picture

Hi Everyone, Anyar was kind enough to re-size my picture so now I can finally do this post.
My name is Fran and I live in Massachusetts, I am 56 years old and I love this forum. I was always thin until I hit about 35 and then the pounds starting adding up. All of the women in my family are quite heavy so I know exactly where I am headed and I need to deal with it now before it gets any further out of control. I have tried a lot of weight loss programs in the past but this one really seems to fit with my lifestyle and the support on this forum is phenomenal.
I have a grown son and at home now it's me, my husband Frank and my mother--she's 93...enough said about that. Meal planning is fairly easy as Frank is not fussy and will pretty much go with the flow and my mother eats entirely different food than we do anyway. So for me it's a little easier than those of you with small kids still at home.
I get quite a bit of exercise, mostly walking this time of year. I am training for a 60 mile cancer walk which I have done several time before so I try to get out every day and on week ends I try to walk at least 10 miles each day. After the walk in May that will slow way down but I always walk. I also enjoy leisurely biking and of course my favorite activity is hiking.
The picture is a recent one of me with my 3 dogs, Summit, Scruffles and Scooter. They walk with me up to 7 miles, beyond that I think it might be too far but they love to go hiking and have been in the white mountains in NH as well as the Berkshire's here in MA.
Well that is probably way more than anyone ever wanted to know. Sorry for going on.
Hiker

Hi everyone,
I am a 28 year old mother of three boys.
I have been on this diet off and on now for almost 2 years. I first started just before I got pregnant with my third. I have a wonderful husband who is very supportive and encouraging. And three energetic loving boys, ages 6, 4 and 1.
The start of my weight climb started when I was 21 and first married. My weight on my wedding day was something around the 145 mark. (Im 5'7) I was very happy there but I have always wanted to be around 130. Pre-college I was about 115 lbs. (A bit low for my body type and height)
After our honeymoon I BALLOONED up to 170 lbs and then lost some and got myself down to 154. I then got pregnant, kept getting pregnant and 3 babies and 3 miscarrages later I was sitting at 209 lbs (That was a year ago) Today I got on the scale and I was 182. However I have been bouncing between 185 and 170 for quite a while now. I do have great success with this diet. I tend to lose about 15 lbs per cycle and maintained 175 lbs for about a month until this past weekend. I have a really hard time doing a cycle, taking my cheat days and getting back on it. My lowest weight was in November which was 164 lbs. It's a total up hill struggle. Im hoping to get to that shortly after this cycle.
Something else that Ive realized is that I think I have IBS. But when Im on this diet I eat GREAT and my body functions really well. When I go off of it....bad things happen .
Today I am starting day one again and as long as I can stick with it to day three Ill be fine :)
I am a stay at home mom and I have two bussinesses. I run a dayhome and I am a photographer as well. I generally eat what is on the menu as it states it. It works well for me that way

Hi, I am a 30 year old project manager. I have been researching FL4I for a week or so now. I am planning on starting the 11 day program April 7. I don't know if this is okay or not but I was thinking of doing Beyond Calories Tues-thursday this week to get me started (i am anxious to start the program ASAP).
As of this morning, I weighed 178.5 - I am the heaviest I have been for awhile. My goal is to get below 150. I am 5'8 and medium build.
I have a husband and a dog but no kids. I have tried Weight Watchers, La Weight Loss, Healthy Inspirations, Adkins, South Beach . . . etc. I am hoping this program will work for me. Any tips and advice is welcome.

Hi Audree
welcome, come over to the general forum and you will find a lot of helpful hints and support. I too have done la weight loss, I lost with that but this easier to follow and you will loose weight if you stick with it. This is so much cheaper

Hi Everyone:
I am Alleyne, 42, Married with two sons, 16 and 10. I am a Administrative Assistant. I have been dieting I think all of my life. I am currently on my 4th cycle. To date I have lost 15lbs. (10 of them on FL4I) I think my progress is a bit slow, but I am pleased with the results, because I have not been that faithful to the diet. (busy weekends).
So my goal is to lose 43lbs - (28lbs) more to go so far. I know I will accomplish this with this plan because this diet works.
It has been so helpful to read all the threads about everybody experiences.
Anya: Thanks for your assistance with the picture.

Hello,
My name is Danielle, I am originally from San Diego but was transplated in Tennesee in 2003 when my Navy husband was transfered. We like the slower pace of life here so we decided to stay after he retired.
I will be 40 this year, thus the diet. I want to at least be fit and trim and finally lose this 30 lbs that I have been yo yo'ing with for the past 10 years.
My life is pretty boring but I guess that is better than stress and drama. I do not have any children, I do have a lot of pets though. Cats are my fav. I love there attitude. I work on the Millington, TN military base doing data entry.
My husband and I love to go to the TN River on our pontoon boat. I love to camp and be outdoors as long as there is water.
KUDOS to Rayna for helping all of us with our pics.

Hello All. My name is Dee. I am 45 years old. I decided it was time to lose some weight when I hit 152 pounds which is my cutoff point to get serious since it is the heaviest I have ever allowed myself to get. I am 5'5" and 152 makes me look chunky.
I usually stay around 132 - 138. Then stuff happens, I get bored or depressed and the weight starts climbing on. Usually, I change my attitude when I get around 146 but this time (and it happens about every 4 years), I just let it go and now it's time I get back on track and do something about it.
I usually do Atkins, but for some reason I just couldn't get back into the diet. Next, I decided to try Jenny Craig and found there was a center near my home. I actually got on the internet and searched for the phone number when I saw a sponsered ad for this diet. After reading about it and not finding anything really negative, I shelled out the $$. Glad I did too. I found out Jenny Craig can really add up with all the prepackaged meals and such.
So, I set my goal for 135. I have 17 pounds to lose. I'm hoping for at least 5 pounds per cycle. Wish me luck.
I'll post a pic when I take a new one. All my digital ones are old.
Dee.

Hi-
Just wanted to introduce myself- I am 4o yr. old single mom- I have a 14 yr dgt who is a vegetarian, I live in upstate NY-
This is my second go at fl4i- I tried it in early 2006, but the food choices at the time were such bizarre combinations, I didn't stick with it- even though at that time I did lose 7 lbs -
The last time I was at my goal weight (180) was in 2000- at that time I did Atkins- but, it doesn't seem to be working for me anymore- I don't know if it is because I am now 40 yr old, or if my body has become accustomed to it- I am now stuck at 230 lbs.- I was 240 and lost 10 lbs between Jan- Feb this year, but have been stuck ever since- I am DESPERATE for this to work this time- I really want to change- I am so happy to find this forum and support- Thanks everybody! Good luck to all!!!

I got a friendly PM to make a post or my account would be deactivated. So here goes.
My name is Courtney. I am a 32 year old single girl. I work full time as a Business Analyst and live in St. Louis Missouri. I feel like I've been on and off some diet since I graduated from college. I originally downloaded the DG several years ago when it was the old version. I was somewhat successful with it back then but I got off track like usual.
I came back to the diet a little over a month ago when I realized I needed to buckle down and get serious about losing weight again. I tend to get gungho on any diet for a while then I just get sick of it. I was excited to see the new menu choices although its still very much the same as before (just no pasta or burgers).
So far I've done 1.5 cycles of DG (had to start over because I got off track due to personal issues in the middle of the first cycle). Then I moved on to BC (Thanks Anyar! I don't know why they don't let you buy it seperately). Today was my last day of BC. I plan to take a few days off and get back on DG starting Saturday or Sunday. I don't feel that BC was very successful for me. I don't feel like I've lost inches and the scale has only gone down a couple pounds. We'll see tomorrow I guess. I also got sick of trying to figure out what to eat each day. It really requires a lot of planning with those 6 meals. I'm sure some exercise would have helped but I've been lazy. I need to get back on my treadmill.
Since I've been back on this diet for a month, I've been lurking on this board. I'm more of a reader than a poster but I will try to jump in more. And like everyone else has said, fruit day sucks! The first time I did it I was ready to eat my cat...I was so hungry.
I'm off to bed.

| Welcome Joni. It really varies for everyone as far as which diet works faster. I haven't tried BC yet, but from most experiences I have read about DG is faster. Come join us in the general discussion and I'm sure you will learn more from the many members and advice =)

Joni, don't feel stupid, we make up abbreviations and expect everyone to know. DG is diet generator and BC is Beyond Calories. Basically they are the 2 different FL4I (Fat Loss 4 Idiots) diet choices. Most people go with DG which is the one you pick food from a list and then the computer generates from that list your meals for the 11 day cycle. BC has a wider choice of foods and you pick from different groups however there are no cheat days, very few condiments, no frozen yogurt etc. It is really just a matter of which one you prefer. Hope this helps.

Hi...My name is Nena. I am 40 years old and carrying about 40 more pounds then I like or need. I am 5' 9" and started the diet weighing 206.4. I ran across this diet plan while researching other diets that deliver the food to you. The name tickled me. I have been overweight since I had my first child 14 short years ago. I also have a vibrant 3 yr old as well which keeps things interesting around our house. I am on my first cycle of the DG plan. Today is day 8 and I am acutally feeling really good about the outcome. I can see a difference in my belly already. I don't feel bloated all the time. Also, I don't know much about forum life but I felt the urge to join you guys as you seem to be able to help each other. Well, I will let you know the outcome of my first cycle on Sunday.

You'll find plenty of help on the site whenever needed, and many wonderful site members.
Be sure to check out some of the topics in the forum, and consider dropping into the "FL4I - General Discussion" (last page) thread to introduce yourself and let us know how your diet is going so far.
Good luck.

I'm Ro, I'm 27 and I'm a MOM. I live in atlantic Canada on a farm with my husband and 16 month old son Tucker...and our neighbors who are actually the farmers.
I mostly just spend time learning and exploring with my son, but I'm also half owner of a small business that is part cloth diaper service, and part cloth diaper manufacturer. My business partner is my neighbor on the farm, and she has a son the same age as mine, and a 3 year old daughter....so, it's a bit of a hippy commune around here!
My goal is to get back into my pre-pregnancy clothes before I get pregnant again!

Hi,
My name is Diane I am 44 and live in the UK. I have 2 off spring a daughter 21 and son 24. I have been married to a wonderful man for the past 26 years. He has said he has been married to 8 different women all ME sizes 8, 10, 12 , 14 , 16 , 18 , 20 and 22
I am on day 7 cycle 1 of this diet and already lost 6lb
4 years ago I lost my brother and in that 4 years I have gained 77lb. I lost the motivation for everything. I used to be an exercise instructor, as well as holding slimming classes . Believe me just because you know alot it does not make it easy!!!
My height is 5 ft 4 and I was 193lb (13stone 11) and my goal weight is about 8st 6 (118lb). I am now determined to get me back again, and from what I have read on this forum, I have confidence I can do this.

Thanks to Rayna I may actually be able to post that pic. Before I do, here are some salient facts:
I'm 52 (yikes!), have lost 30lbs with FL4I... work out pretty much every day... I write for a living (mostly for TV). Huge Springsteen fan. Married. Sorry girls! No health issues of my own but wife is not well and father had a heart attack yesterday. So dealing with that. Here now, I hope is the pic.
All best,
Larry

Good morning y'all!
I'm kinda' new to this program. I actually thought I had posted my brief bio here but apparently NOT! Started out on BC on 3/21- lost 7 lbs; switched over to the DG because I couldn't fit 6 meals into one day- not on my schedule.
I am 55, improving with age, on my second husband of 4 years, living in VA, but home is a Mayberry town in LA (Lower Alabama!). I have 3 grown boys, 27, 23 and 17 (graduating 5/19 in AL - CAN'T WAIT TO SEE THIS!) and THE MOST BEAUTIFUL GRANDDAUGHTER IN THE WORLD, all living in Alabama and I MISS THEM SOOOOOOO MUCH!!! Not too crazy about VA. Working on that! LOL!
Anyway, I NEVER had a weight problem until I hit 49- I went to bed one night at 135 and woke up the next morning with a 20 lb bag of potatoes stuck to me! OOPS! Anyway, I lost that on the Adkins' diet right before I moved up to VA and got married. I found out real quickly what EVERY FRIDAY NIGHT pizza will do to you, not to mention the hamburgers and French fries and icecream. My husband is an all meat and potato guy, anything red, anything white, he'll eat it. Needless to say, my body can't handle that. I grew up picking peas, green beans, speckled butterbeans, squash, etc. I didn't even have my first McDonald's until I was almost 18 years old! (They were kinda' new back then LOL!) Anyway, I have spent literally HUNDREDS on diets to no avail- not even Adkints worked anymore. But this? People- if you are just looking at this for the first time and haven't decided yet? JUST DO IT! It's the best thing since my grandchild was born! It really does work and the greatest are the people here. I don't know if I could stay motivated without all of y'all. As I like to tell people:
"Well, butter my butt and call me a biscuit- I have ARRIVED!"

Agl... I am struck in particular by the fact that you picked "speckled butterbeans". I have no idea what speckled butterbeans are, but I just love saying it!
Welcome to our little party. Try to post a pic if you can.
And stay away from those potatoes!

Heather... just wanted to say welcome and that you look great as you are. I know we all have ideals and beat ourselves up when we don't meet them, so go easy on yourself and be patient. It will happen for you.

Fran, just catching up with some posts. Love the pic. Mass is a great place. I have much affection for the New England states, being a Montrealer (now displaced to Ontario). I get down to Maine every summer, pass through NY, NH, VT, MASS and love every second of it. The Berkshires are so pretty - but why is it always POURING??? And the traffic on the I-95, yikes!!!! Or is it the I-90? It took me EIGHT HOURS to get from Albany to Old Orchard Beach last August. Should have been 3.5. I kept thinking - where are they all going?!
Anyway, visiting the U.S. is always worth it. The best people anywhere. And I've been all over, so I should know.
Best,
Larry

My name is Denice Daley. I am a married, 27 year old and have a 1 year old tom cat. I run a wedding gown shop in Málaga Spain. My current goal is 75kg, and I was at 109kg on the starting grid. I have, to date, lost 3kg. which isn't marvelous, but it is a working progress, as I tend to cheat too often.
See you on the GD!

Hi everyone,
I had posted this in the new members forum but I think it may belong here instead. I sure wasn't looking to post my picture in every thread. :)
I’m new to the forum and this is the beginning of my second cycle. I’m 45 years old, 5’1” with a fairly small frame and 133 lbs (when I started Cycle 1) and would like to get to 115. I lost 6-7 pounds after the first cycle and put back 3-4 on the cheat days. I have some concerns about this which I will address in the general discussion.
I was previously on the South Beach Diet. If you are familiar with it ,it has 3 Phases – fast weight loss, slow weight loss, and maintenance. I I initially did quite well with it and then modified it to add a 4th Phase, slow weight gain. I stuck with this phase until now, where I am well over my goal of 115. I do believe SBD is a very healthy way to eat long term but right now I’m looking for something a little quicker. I was hoping to lose as much as possible before my vacation on June 1st.
My name is Chris, I'm married, have no kids, and live about 2 hours north of New York City. I like to ride my bike, taking pictures, traveling, and eating out. I’ve managed to combine all of these passions a few times but it can get quite pricey if I try to do it too often.
The picture of me on the left is on a biking trip when I weighed 115 and the picture on the right I’m probably 130+.Attached Image (viewed 540 times):

Hi ,
I am 44 years old and a single mum with a lovely son and 2 other furry children (my dogs-a whippet and a greyhound). I live in Edinburgh, Scotland and I am a Chaplain and LP for the Methodist Church. I am offering myself for Ordained Ministry and will begin candidateing this Autumn (yes I am one of *those* but I am quite laid back and have been known to go disco dancing in spandex).
I have about 70 lbs to lose and I am on day 4 of the 1st cycle. I used this programme about 3 years ago, was successful until I fell of the wagon and gained it all back again . I am a big framed woman (I like to say voluptuous) and have always been overweight, all my life. I am ALWAYS the big woman in the group and will never be a supermodel, but I am fine with that as I am who I am. I simply want to have more control over my food habits and would like to feel better about myself.
I know I can do this and I know it will be difficult at times, but life is a journey and this is yet another path I need to travel on. Good luck to everyone here .

Hello to All!!
My name is DeVon Wiley, and I am 20 years old. I have a 3 year old son named Tristan. He is very smart and active. I gained quite a bit with him and after the delivery it just "stayed around"
I was born and raised in Oklahoma and now I am raising my own here. Not a bad place to live. I would like to move sometime in the future though. Somewhere that has mountains or big palm trees would be good. Would love to visit California and look for houses. (but anyways ) My life is pretty normal, I go to school, I work as a dispatcher for r/s assitance. (gets pretty hectic let me tell ya) I am about 5'3 180 lbs. EEK! Pretty embarrasing. I have been told I "carry" it well. I don't care how I "carry it" tho I want it gone lol I am trying to loose about 30lbs, that will put me at 150lbs which is an okay start.
I started researching this diet in June 2008. I've heard alot of success stories and alot of people stating that they lost 10lbs or even more! I was like this sounds like the one but I wasnt sure if the people were just saying that or if it really worked lol. After a couple months of reading and researching. I decided to go with the the DietGenerator where you eat 4 meals a day and you pick the times.(that works for me) My days are never the same so a diet that allows me to pick what times, and what I am eating is great! Needless to say I started about 3 days ago. I haven't lost any weight as of yet. But I will, and when I do I will keep you updated with my results.
Nice to meet you ALL, and keep posting.

Hey Everyone,
I just joined in, and wanted to introduce myself a bit. This seems like such a great forum and support, and has gotten me really motivated. I really feel like this forum is what I need to keep myself going so I can get to my goal weight. My name is Anny, I'm 33, recently married with no kids (I'm an art teacher for a middle school - so that keeps me busy enough for now!!) I never had a weight problem and when I was younger was below normal weight. In college, I filled out and stayed at about 125-130 during most of my 20's until I ruptured a disk in my back doing yoga. Over the past few years I have yo-yo'd between 140 and 170, and have now somehow gotten up to 189 ---YIKES!! My goal is to get back down to 135 -- the weight is really not good for my back, and I'm really embarassed that I have put on this much weight. It seems like an impossible goal, but I know I can do it! I really want to enjoy all the outdoor stuff I love doing when the weather gets warm.
It's nice to meet you all, and I look forward to getting to know you!
With Peace,
Anny

Hi all.
Started in GD yesterday so thought now would be a good time to introduce myself.
I am Helen, I am 26 years old and from the UK. Emigrating to Colorado next year to be with my brother, his wife and his little girl Anja. I am very happily Married to Matthew, we have been married for almost 3 years and together for almost 10. We have no children and no desire to have any. We have lots of fur and scale babies though. Gladys, our American Staffordshire Terrier, who is 10 in July and just been diagnosed with Cushings Disease bless her. Then there is Ernie and Victor the cats, 5 and 2 respecively. Bob the Cali King Snake, he is 10, Betty the leopard gecko, she is 4, Hovina the pac man frog, she is 3 and we have 3 parrot cichlids and 4 milawe cichlid fish.
Anyway on to the reason I am here. When I met my hubby I was 143lbs....I had recently lost 34lbs with weight watchers. Then I got comfortable and content and over 1 years have ballooned to my heaviest weight ever which is.......240lbs!!
I want to lose 100lbs to get back to a UK size 12. I am 5 foot 6.5.
Fruit day so far is going well, not hungry and have had meal 2 of 4 so am hopeful for the rest of the day. I am on the vegetarian version so no sandwich for me on fruit day! Just 4 meals of fruit haha!
I am excited to be here, Weight Watchers just wasnt structured enough for me, but this is great, I know what I am eating and when and can shop accordingly. I am only doing a 10 day cycle this time as I want Sat, Sun and Mon to be by "off days" plus its my birthday a week on Sunday so will be going out for a family meal on the Sat so a 10 day cycle this time will put me where I want to be for the future months until I hit goal.
I have Jillian Michaels (trainer from biggest loser) 30 day shred dvd coming from my brother for my birthday. It is 20 mins a day.....no excuse not to do it at 20 mins, so I wil, as of April 7th be incorporating that along with the GD.
Look forward to getting to know you all and sharing this journey

I joined last year, but really didn't post much. Had great success with diet and lost 10 pounds in 11 days. Followed to the letter and hated all the water and fruit day, but loved the result. Am starting this diet again on monday. Will be difficult over the Easter holidays. Need to lose at least a stone (14 lbs) but 20 lbs would be better. Could use some support. Loved reading all your inspiring stories.
