Ghostwrite... Yes, nuts, especially peanuts are high in calories. When you have them on your menu you should only have a small portion of around 1-2oz per meal. So it is not wise to have them as the main part of any meal as you will be left hungry or be tempted to over eat with them. I had to cut them out of the plan alltogether as I did not lose if I ate them.
I suggest generating a new menu without the nuts and see how you get on. Also, if you have cheese go for the low fat kinds. Select the leaner types of sausage if those are on your menu and trim all visible fat from bacon and meat before cooking. Even better if you can stick to lean proteins such as chicken and fish with lots of fresh fruit and veggies when generating a new cycle as doing so will definitely speed up your loss. Good luck!

Thanks for the quick answer Lorraine! :)
I will generate another menu without the nuts... I didn't have cheese on any of my menus, but I will try to add more fruits! Didn't have bacon and sausages either..
Oh well, I bought a lot of cashews and peanuts for my future cycles! ahhaha, I will share it with my employees!!!
Don't eat 'em - Talking to myself! ;)

Ghostwrite... Quite the contrary, I ate, and still do eat, lots of bacon and sausages! But I always choose the best/leanest sausages and trim all visible fat from bacon. Though to be fair I also eat a lot of chicken and fish. I hope omitting the nuts works for you.. which I am sure it will

Ghostwrite... Some suggestions to make this menu more interesting and less repetitious:
For meal one, day one, you could have chicken salad if you don't fancy tuna salad as chicken is in the combo.. or as you also have a bowl of green vegetables in the combo you could make a roast meal of chicken with any green veg such as green beans, cabbage (or other green leafy veg), peas and a drizzle of fat free gravy.
Where you have sausages and eggs you can add tomatoes to make it more of a meal as salsa sauce is allowed with ANY meal and that is made from tomatoes, onions and peppers... Or you could add the onions and/or peppers as well as the tomato, slice some cooked sausage and make a delicious omelette. Remember, you don't have to scramble the eggs.. you can prepare them any way you like such as poached or boiled etc.
Where you have just ham and turkey slices, you could sub those for chicken or other lean meat and you could also add peppers, onion, tomato and a little lettuce so you have a mini salad. Though any dressing you use should be under 10 cals only (we are allowed drinks up to 10 cals) or stick to the allowed condiments listed in the rules.
For meal 2 on day 4 where you have chicken/ tuna salad and a bowl of mixed veg, you could make a chicken stir fry using any mixed veg but NOT sweetcorn or potatoes... (I often make a chinese stir fry using beansprouts and a fresh chinese veg pack from the supermarket) Use a little light soy sauce and some pam spray to stir fry.
Remember you can sub tuna for ANY other fish including salmon and cooked white fish. I love haddock or cod with salad.
I hope this helps to make your meals a little less boring.
Just a thought.. Did you know you can hit the back button as many times as you like when generating a menu until you get one you are happy with?

Good evening!
I'm not even going to attempt any fancy writing as I spent so much time yesterday and it got me nowhere!
Is anyone watching the Super Bowl? I made wings and ribs and munched on them throught the day. I decided to kind of take the day off a little bit but I wasn't bad...I just didn't stick to the plan. There was a little fork in the road sort of speak when I was cutting the Carvel ice cream cake for the kids and I REALLY wanted to have a slice. So I said to myself 'what's more important...a slice of ice cream cake that I won't remember the taste of tomorrow or feeling great when I put my summer clothes in in 3 DAYS?' That actually worked. I had a small bowl of frozen blueberries with almond milk and that's it. Just have to do this talk EVERY time there's a fork in the road.
Zas, did you end up doing your workout today? If not...tomorrow for sure!
Ghostwrite, I also agree about the nuts...their serving size is usualy 1oz and if you're eating more which is really easy to do, you are consuming lots of cals...even if they are healthy!
Ok, I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. I'm going to be busy this week...I'll pop in here and there but I'll be here in spirit!

It's almost 2am and I am up nursing my chocolate labrador trying to keep him comfortable until he can see the vet in the morning.. looks like it's going to be a long night as he will only rest if I sit stroking him. Two years ago he had an accident which smashed his rear left hock. He had major surgery on his foot, ankle joint, knee and a ligament repair. He had a bone graft on the ankle joint which was held with a metal plate and 8 screws but the plate and screws had to come out a few months later once the bone started to knit as his body rejected it and wouldn't heal. Anyway, it took a year for him to fully recover and he has been his old self for over 12 months now and doing everything normally. Until this morning... we awoke to him limping on 3 legs, holding up and unable to bear weight on the leg previously injured. Though he is only 4 years old I thought maybe it was aching with a bit of rheumatism as it has gotten so cold here at the moment but as it's sunday and the vet's are closed until monday morning I kept him quiet and made him rest to see if it improved. But by 10pm it was obvious he was in a lot of pain as he was restless, panting and very uncomfortable. Also the ankle joint had swollen quite a bit so I called the emergency vet. They told me to give him 3/4 of a paracetamol tablet and place a cold compress on the joint to keep him comfortable until morning when he can see the vet. I am almost positive that the ankle joint repair has broken or failed in some way and I am devastated. The paracetamol seems to be working as he is asleep beside me with the cold compress still wrapped around his ankle... so at least he seems comfortable for now. My dog is my constant companion and is everything to me.. it is breaking my heart to see him like this

Thank you so much, Lorrianne for answering my post. I thought I was going crazy. So there is no sign in just the bookmarked generator page? Wow I thought there would be a little more to the diet. Do they ever add foods? Can't really complain as I'm on day 6 and lost 7 lbs. Most in most 1st few days. I would love to join you ladies if it's ok.Are pickles allowed? I saw someone post a recipie for tuna with pickles.Any helpful hints would be great as I seem to keep the foods pretty bland. Thanks again for your speedy response.

Icemaidin1.. That is correct.. we don't 'sign in'.. there is just the bookmarked generator page. Yes, you can have pickles as long as they are not high in sugar... ie just the veggies with vinegar.
Gotto take my dog to the vets now they are open! It's been a very long night.
Be back later.

Lorrianne as you know I am new to this. I have never joined a forum before and when I read your latest post I just want to say how sorry I am about your dog. I hope he's felling better soon. My son brought rocky, his puppy, into our lives last year and she is very precious to us as well. My thoughts are with you. I hope he's back to himself very soon.

Zas thank you so much for your reply. As a newbie I have so many Questions? I saw Lorriane write something about veggies or a small salad. Is that allowed with any meal or only if it specifically says veggies? Again any helpful hints will be welcome. I'm definitely going to try the pickles with the tuna. I'm so afraid to use too much mayo I almost choked on it (only Kidding) just very dry.

Hello, everyone. Thanks for remembering me, Anita.
Last weekend was a busy one and I realized that I am the opposite of people who need to keep busy in order to stay on track. This diet requires my full focus as busy means skipping meals and grabbing french fries on the run just to calm my queasy stomach.
Then Monday, I had an auto accident, and these things are no fun. I had just dropped my little one off at school and was going my usual daily route which has a 4-way stop. I stopped. Then 2 other cars stopped. I went. Then 1 of the 2 cars started going and hit me. It's been a week of aches: head, neck, shoulder, back AND insurance. Car is totaled. Have to get another one.
On top of all that, I got sick on Thursday. Though I warded off my little one's cough and chest congestion for almost 2 weeks, it hit me like a ton of bricks when my stress levels were high due to the accident and my immune system was low. I swear, if I didn't know any better, I'd think that my kids deliberately lick every lightswitch and doorknob at school to bring home sick germs as often as they do. So, I've been losing sleep due to this persistent cough, but that's not all I've been losing. I've been losing weight. But, wait, it's not due to following FL4I, it's because I've been too busy and sick to eat.
The only good news I have to report is that the scale I ordered arrived. I guess it's time to start using it, but I'm just too unwell right now with zero energy.

Good morning!
Lorraine, my heart is breaking for your doggie...I hope it's something not as serious as his repair breaking! Please let us know what the vet says. Yesterday it was my labs 9th bday and it was a little bittersweet for me...she's getting up there in age and I can clearly remember the teeny tiny puppy we brought home. She's my companion too esp now that the kids are in school. She jumps in my car and refuses to get out. So I take her on errands with me and she waits in the car patiently.
Zas....do your workout! I'm about to do mine even though I don't feel like it! I have such a hard time getting out of bed...I just love my bed!
Oh yes, I forgot about Dexter's Miami post....we're going to Orlando. And I hate to disappoint you but they don't film in Miami! I read all about it a couple of months ago. Some footage they take from various parts of the country but the action part of the show is filmed in LA! Got us fooled pretty good, huh?
Sarannea..I'm glad you're ok from your car accident! Well look at the bright side...you're getting a new car! lol I'm glad you are losing weight. Hey, my kids have been sick too...they all skipped school 2 weeks ago and thena couple of days ago my daughter was sick AGAIN. Tis the teason of colds!
icemadin - welcome to the diet and the forum. I did not see your question about pickles but I assume you're asking if they are allowed. I think you're safe with the ones w/o added sugar. I used to eat pickles b/c I can't eat meat/chicken w/o anything. The only concern may be sodium and retention of water but I don't remember that it affected my weight loss. Good luck!
Ok off to workout I go!

sarranea.....wow ...that was some week.... ....was wondering where were you off to.....hope your kids are feeling better now...take care ,keep warm.....and yes good luck with your scale...
icemaiden.......yes shoot away with your questions.... ......most of us eat a little salad or some vegetable...and also as salsa sauce is allowed with every meal....so you can add onions tomatoes and pepper too !!! mind it keep it to the minimum...ie do not eat a plateful of veges...as that may slow the loss......
elina.....just completed the workouts..... ........ya i guessed so...Hollywood is in LA , and most shows or maybe all could be filmed there.....lol.......its just Miami and Dexter ....lol.....going nuts here........ .........the other day i realized we have his car....ford explorer !!! lol

Icemaidin1.. As we are allowed the condiment salsa sauce with ANY meal (including fruit day) and that is mainly made from tomatoes, onions and peppers, we deduce that we can have those veggies with ANY meal and is the reason why we can make the quick tomato soup to help us get through fruit day.. (recipe on recipe thread).
Plus the diet rules state that we can also have any drinks up to 10 cals each throughout the day. Sooooo, as lettuce is only 1 cal per 6g serving and cucumber is only 8 cals per 52g/1/2 cup that too is ok to add to any meal. In other words.. any foods or drinks below 10 cals per portion you can add to your meals as long as the total of the combined added foods together are no more than 10 calories. For instance... if you have say, ham and turkey combo on your menu, you can add the tomato, onion and peppers as that counts as adding salsa sauce which is an allowed condiment. But you can also add a few slices of cucumber and a couple of lettuce leaves as those two veggies in small portions combined would be less than 10 cals (the allowance of a drink) in total. Of course you should NOT also have the 10 cal drink with this meal but you can drink water and wait a couple of hours before having any allowable drinks up to 10 cals if you really feel you want it.
Lettuce and cucumber are so very low in calories I don't see any problem adding them to meals. I have ALWAYS added them when I had protein only on the menu such as fish or meat and I lost a lot of weight very quickly

Don't be afraid to ask questions... we were all where you are once and are happy to help and support you all we can Have you read the diet tips and guidelines thread? Some great tips and ideas to get you started.
Sarranea.. Sounds like you really have had a very tough week! Poor you!.. Concentrate on getting better and don't worry too much about the plan right now... we will still be here when you are feeling better
Doggy Update: I was lucky enough to find the vet on duty this morning is the same orthopedic specialist surgeon that operated on my dog 2 years ago when he had the injury! He reckons that the repair is rock solid, stable and not the problem. He thinks it is a sprain ABOVE the repaired ankle and has prescribed an anti inflammatory and painkillers with lots of rest. He is confident my dog will be back to normal within a few days but to take him back on monday if he has not recovered by then. So fingers crossed hoping that he is right. Max had an anti inflammatory/pain relief shot so at last he is comfortable now and sleeping in front of the fireplace. I only managed to doze for an hour last night so I'm gonna try to nap now
Be back later x

GOOD MORNING EVERYONE!
I HAVE COMPLETED MY FIRST WHOLE CYCLE AND BEGINNING A NEW ONE TODAY! I HAVE TO SAY THAT I AM QUITE PROUD OF MYSELF B/C THIS IS PROBABLY THE LONGEST I HAVE STUCK WITH ANY PLAN IN OVER TWO YEARS...I'VE REALLY BEEN STRUGGLING FOR SOME REASON....BUT NOT SO MUCH ON THIS PLAN! IT LOOKS LIKE I GAINED ABOUT 4 LBS BACK THIS CYCLE. I DID NOT STUFF MYSELF, BUT I ALSO "ENJOYED MYSELF" ON MY OFF DAYS, AS I HAD A COUPLE OF DIFFERENT EVENTS THIS WEEKEND.
I AM GOING TO USE THE SAME MENU THIS CYCLE AS LAST, BUT SUBSTITUTING ALMONDS INSTEAD OF CASHEWS AND LOW FAT COTTAGE CHEESE INSTEAD OF FULL FAT CHEDDAR (IT WAS UPSETTING MY TUMMY). SO, I AM REALLY HOPING THAT THE WEIGHT LOSS CONTINUES FROM THIS POINT! IT SEEMS THAT THIS DIET IS PRETTY LOW CARB SO I AM SURE A LOT OF THE WEIGHT LOSS IS WATER...HOW DO WE KNOW (IN THE BEGINNING ANYWAY) IF IT IS FAT LOSS AS WELL??? THANKS GUYS! ~NUTMEG

Nutmeg... Congrats on a very successful cycle and sticking to the plan . If you gained 4lbs back on your choice days am I right that your loss at the start of this 2nd cycle is around 9lbs? I am sure that some of it was water but definitely not all... you will have also lost some fat in that amount of loss. On your next choice days to minimize any gain.. if at all.. stick to the principles of the plan, ie eat 4 times a day at least 2.5 hours apart. Don't eat in between meals. Drink all the water (at least 8 x 8oz glasses.. 10 if you can). Eat only until satisfied and never till full. Also on top of these rules stick to fat/sugar free or low fat/sugar products, lean proteins, lots of fruit and veggies and keep treats to the minimum.. perhaps allowing a treat (in moderation) at one of your meals for each choice day. That's what I did, and still do, to maintain my weight (those rules are my bible!) and I was fortunate enough to get through all my choice weekends with NO gain, thus reaching my goal weight very quickly (40lbs loss in 3 months and reached goal.. total of 60lbs loss in 6 months 20lb loss whilst maintaining!) Remember, on your days off plan you need to practise maintenance for when you reach your goal weight because if you don't 'learn' how to maintain, and go back to eating the way you used to, you will more than likely just gain it all back. Good luck with your new cycle and congrats again on your loss.. .well done you!

girls!
First of all, have a Happy Week all!
Sorry I was MIA yesterday..I just didn't manage to find time between making pizzas, 'chou' pastries (cream cakes), bread and seeing my husband. So, you have all now my full attention!
Wow, this board has been super busy!! Very nice!!
Butterfly, new cycle for us today!! Well, I can't believe that you are not good at dancing! Perhaps you haven't found yet the type of music/dance that suits you! If we ever meet up, I will do my best to 'convert' you to belly dance and to flamenco! lol Thanks for all the info about the metabolism types...I am curious to see where I belong...not much lean muscle here and it seems that my body cannot use carbs as a fuel, but for storing fat instead! I will try to get hold of that book in our library. The meals you had during the maintenance sound SO yummy! That yummy that it doesn't feel a 'punishment' (dietwise) eating them! I have to work on that frame of mind too! Judging from what I did the past 3 days, I need loads of work still! Hey that guilty-free syrop sounds SO yummy!
Lorriane, wow! thanks for all this colourful activity in the forum! Oh, I think of you so so often! Made a huge pot of your soup, had some today, thanks a million for that brilliant idea. Sorry to hear that your was unwell. Hope the medication works well and you don't have to see the vet again.
Elina, today finally IS the day for me to try Si6! Weekend was so quick and today I start a new cycle, so excellent opportunity to start my workout too! Thanks, I will definitely come to you with any questions! And not to worry about the email, we talk daily from here anyway :) Oh, that's very nice you describe your 'resistance' over cake. I should learn how to do this too! Almost ready for FL?? You taking kids with you too??
Anita, my colour twin, how is your girl?? Hope she is much better now! So funny what you wrote about spongebob .."11 yrs and still going strong" lol! Back home my little cousin has an obsession with the 'Ninjaturtles...and they SO an old thing!
Zas, we really missed you! Even on the same day you left! Hope you had very nice time! Back to FL4I reality, you will lose that lb! I will start my exercise today! I am so unfit, I hope I will be able to sit down afterwards without feeling a granma! lol
Ghostwrite, keep it strong. We all have good and bad cycles...I know from my experience. Just follow Lorriane's advice and you should be fine! :)
Icemaidin1 welcome to the diet and the forum! I have nothing to add to the excellent advice the girls posted. Good luck with the diet!
Sarranea, sorry to read you had a car accident and a cold afterwards. Glad your scales arrived! Hope you feel better soon and take it easy! Health goes first!
Right, time to workout now! byeeee

Hey, GIRLS!!
WELLLL........ I DID it!! I stayed POP for all 3 days! AND...drumrollll..... for the FIRST time, I actually weighed at the END of my choice days and NO GAIN!!!! Woohoo! I am super super happy w/ that! The birthday party was especially tough with homemade nacho chips (deep-fat fried) and guacamole (had some of the guac w/out the chips...w/raw veggies). THEN.... Super Bowl Sunday, hubby asked me to make hot wings and my dip . Also made pizza for my little guys. I had a big salad first and then a few wings with a tablespoon of the dip that I added a little water to, then I just poured it on my wings. Worked like a charm. Whew! It sure took me long enough to master this choice days thing. But NOW...I know I CAN do it!!! I have done "okay" on my other choice weekends, but never 100% POP!
Icemaiden ~ I don’t know if you live in the states, but if you do…. Many stores have sugar-free varieties of sweet/little gherkin pickles and pickle relish. They have Splenda in them. Two brands I purchase: Kroger and Mt. Olive. I use the sugar-free pickle relish in my tuna salad, along with Miracle Whip Light. This mayo. is lower in carbs and calories than the allowed condiment ketchup. SO… if you have access to it, I would use that. It makes an amazing tuna (or chicken) salad. You can also use chopped onions and chopped celery in it. I also put a tiny bit of mustard in (another "free" condiment). If you happen to get a meal with chicken and eggs or fish and eggs, you can also add chopped, boiled eggs to it. Then, put it on lettuce roll-ups if you like. It’s also really good on top of grilled onions and/or tomatoes. Grill/roast/broil the veggies first with a little garlic powder, salt, and zero cal. oil spray. Then, top them with a dollup of your tuna salad. Next, broil that ‘til heated through. “Sort of” like a tuna melt .
Sarranea ~ Glad to see you BACK! Goodness, you POOR thing! So glad your accident wasn’t more serious. Hope your sickness goes away soon and you can bounce back stronger than ever! Take care of yourself!
Nutmeg ~ Hey, you ARE still with us! Great! I can SO relate to your struggle! This is the ONLY plan that has worked for me long term (since July 2011) and I have tried a LOT. When I started my first cycle, I was 219 pounds. I am now 156 pounds. This plan WORKS. No matter WHAT….keep going….you WILL succeed and with each cycle, you will learn something new, get stronger, better at it, AND thinner! Once you figure out about how much your average loss is per cycle, then you can set a long-term goal for yourself according to what your goal weight is. On your next choice days, you’ll have to be more careful because future cycles will not show as high a loss usually, and you won’t have as much “wiggle” room on your choice days. As far as “how you know” you’re losing fat…just WAIT….you’ll KNOW when your pants start falling off of you! LOL! Good luck on your next cycle! Stay POP (perfect on plan) OH! AND….don’t forget… ALL 80 ounces of WATER on your choice days
ZAS ~ Welcome back, girl! We missed you!! That is AWESOME that you only gained a pound! Good going! That’ll be gone in NO time! Also, you said: again I will say that as you don’t weigh after cheat days , so you have lost a lot more !!! You confuse me when you say this to me. LOL! How have I "lost" more... if I "gained" it back on choice weekend? I just can't see "counting" pounds that were gained back as another "loss". LOL! I only count the pounds that "count"....the ones that don't come back and get me on towards my goal. You also said: Hey your book info looks cool…..so which category am I in ??? my parents don’t have either those 3 mentioned diseases !! To know for 100% sure what type you are, it takes a blood test (hdl/ldl cholesterol), BUT...there are guidelines and descriptions in the book to help you figure it out without the blood test. Also, you still could be the same metabolic type as I am. It's just that if you or your parents have any of those diseases, it confirms that you are in that category. Since yours do not, you would have to go "the next step" to figure it out. I'll post more on this later.
Eva ~ We got snow, too! It was supposed to be rain, but they changed it and it was all really heavy, wet snow! Here’s a pic I took of my walking path...
So, I take it you are feeling better? Is your voice back to normal? Hey…NO pictures of yummy food on here, please ! You CAN however put it on the recipe board along w/ how to make it. Just specify that it is for “choice” days. LOL!! HAHA! Me?? Belly dancing! Now THERE’s a picture! LOL! I can “dance”, just not very coordinated at it! When I was young, I used to do country line dancing and square dancing. THAT… I absolutely LOVE! There just isn’t anywhere around here to do it anymore. Good luck with your Si6 and your new cycle!
CIA ~ Did you get to try out the cauliflower pizza crust? SO curious about that! How was your Superbowl Sunday? Hey, did I miss your weigh-in? Sorry if I did! Come check in with us
Elina ~ Well, started watching more PB’s that recorded (dvr). Something is seriously WRONG though and I can’t figure it out! I am watching them in order, but each show starts out with a “last time on PB”….and what they show is stuff that was NOT on the LAST show I watched! Then, that part will be in the NEXT show. It’s weird and confusing and terrible, like getting “spoilers” before I watch the show! I don't know WHY they are all mixed up like that. So, I found the episodes at the library in widescreen and ordered those. So, did you start packing for Florida yet?? So excited for you! Have a GREAT time and take some pictures for us!
We are SO going to MISS you!!
Boston ~ How was your Superbowl Sunday? Did “your” team win? You must be feeling better by now…from your “friend”?
Ghostwrite ~ You got your monthly “friend” too..uggh. You said: I think it was not a good idea to do a cycle during my period. I totally get what you are saying, BUT I think you’ll have to figure out a way to plug through on a cycle, no matter what life throws at you. It is absolutely a work in progress and you’ll get better at it as you go and next time, you’ll be more prepared for what to expect. Just keep going, and you’ll be fine . Just don’t get discouraged and quit. You did almost all of your cycle pop though, and only gained a pound on your choice days, AND you did a lot of cycling. SO….. I would say, all things considered…you actually had a very SUCCESSFUL cycle. One more thing… please don’t get mad at me or take this the wrong way….but…I HAVE to say it. You CAN do the plan while in a hotel. I know, because I did the plan through our whole family vacation AND on a business trip with my hubby….in hotels. It does take some planning but it CAN be done(even w/out a fridge). Every hotel I know of has an ice machine w/ free ice. You can take a cooler with those frozen blue ice things with all your food for the time you’ll be gone. OR…you could take an empty cooler and go to the grocery once you reach your destination (if you have time). When the blue ice things thaw, you start getting buckets of ice at the hotel to keep your stuff cold. Now, if you were talking about meetings you have to go out to restaurants for, well… I did that too. Almost every restaurant I went to had fl4i options for me. Save your protein/veggie meal for the restaurant meals. OR…even if you have an all protein meal, you can still add a small lettuce salad with tomatoes and onions and add this to grilled chicken breast, broiled/baked fish, or an omelette/eggs meal. Some restaurants have plain, steamed veggies too…if you need to replace your potato/rice side with something. Almost every restaurant has cottage cheese, too. Several times I have taken my low-cal salad dressing with me in my purse, other times I order vinegar and oil then put some vinegar in a small bowl or cup and add a little Splenda, salt, and pepper…yummy on salad. Once I ordered room service and got a spinach frittata with egg beaters and grilled tomatoes. This particular hotel had several “low-carb” choices on the menu. SO… I REALLY hope this didn’t come across as **I** am so GOOD! LOL!!! My intention is ONLY to try to HELP and give you options. Please don’t take it the wrong way! It’s just that, if your job will continue to require you to stay in hotels…my thoughts are that you’ll need to come up with a plan…to well…stay “on plan”. JUST until you reach your goal weight…and you want to get THERE as soon as possible, right? Then, when you reach your goal weight, you can just make wise, healthy choices and follow the fl4i “principles” to maintain what you’ve lost when you are in hotels. You also talked about the nuts. My conclusion on that is only to eat almonds, walnuts, and pistachios (the lowest calorie nut and you eat less, because you have to “de-shell” each one….so…you are forced to eat them slower). Almonds especially have been proven to HELP with weight loss and walnuts are great for your omega 3’s. The trick IS to not eat too many. However…even if you eat 2 or even 300 calories of nuts in ONE meal…if that is your total for that meal, it should not affect your loss at all. Plus, research AND my experience shows nuts actually keep you feeling full longer that many other foods. SO…you have to experiment and figure out what works for you, since every body is different. SO…I would not totally “rule out” the nuts just yet. Up to you, though. Nuts have been my saving grace on this diet sometimes, as 1) They take care of my snack cravings 2) They are super-portable and can be eaten basically ANYWHERE! Just measure out your portion ahead of time and put the jar Also....CHEW-CHEW-CHEW....eat 'em SLOW. Ok, I’m done .
Anita ~ How is your little sweetie? Is the weather nice out there? Did you get to enjoy that walking this weekend? Did you get a good cycle generated this time? Good luck with it!
Lorraine ~ Awww! Your poor pup ! How is he today? I know EXACTLY what you went through last night. Just went through something similar with our “old man”. SO-SO glad the ankle repair is still holding strong! Maybe Max stepped in a hole or something when walking with you and you didn’t realize it, who knows. That will be different and lonely for you walking without him, huh? I hope he gets back to 100% quickly… for you AND for him!
Welll..... time for lunch, here. Talk to you all LATER!!

Cycle 3/Day1 Greetings lovely losers!!
Whew. Didn't have time to check in on Friday -- ended up losing 3.6 pounds, bringing net loss to 11 pounds... Jumped on the scale this morning and gained 1.4 pounds over the weekend... and I wasn't even that bad. I stayed pretty much on the low carb track, but the quantity and variety wasn't exactly on program. We hosted a dinner party on Saturday night to celebrate the birthday of a friend. She is on Atkins so we stuck to a low carb fare, except for the French 75 champagne cocktails. DH made Memphis rub spareribs (charcoal grilled for 1-1/2 hrs then oven baked for 2-3 hours), a salad with vinaigrette dressing and roasted cauliflower, served with Chianti Classico. For dessert I made a almond flour pound cake (sweetend with Splenda) topped with homemade lemon curd (Splenda again), whipped cream (Splenda again) and fresh blueberries. OMG -- it was delish!! The "flour" in the pound cake was 100% ground almonds! Didn't miss the sugar or flour at all!! A real keeper!!!!!
We had enough ribs left over to munch on during yesterday's game along with a beer. Yum! (Hmmm, I think I am beginning to understand where that 1.4 gain came from!)
I didn't make the cauliflower pizza since I used the head I had to make the roasted cauliflower (chopped into about 16 med-sized pieces, brushed with olive oil, sprinkled with sea salt and garlic powder, baked for 20 min, or until the cauliflower edges begin to turn brown).
Elina, I liked the story of the ice cream cake... WTG! Good for you to be able to talk yourself off the ledge like that. I have a guy who works for me who doesn't eat any of the sweets around the office -- they just don't interest him. Yet he stuffs down a half dozen cheap, Little Debbie powdered sugar donuts every morning for breakfast and still stays skinny. (This is me screaming down the hallway.) Makes me crazy.
Keep your eyes on the prize and have a great week!
Cheers!!

Lorraine - I'm so sorry to hear about your baby, fingers crossed this is as simple as the Dr thinks it is. FL4I should hire you on as a counselor as you hop right on it when someone asks a question and you provide very solid info
Icemaidin - so glad you decided to join us here. Looking forward to getting to know you better :o)
Nutmeg - We are proud of you as well!! Excellent job on sticking to this new way of life, you will reach your goal in no time.
Elina - Did you go out and purchase a new bikini for the beach? I'm so jealous...I wanna go too! I have to report my workouts to the Fitness Guru so here goes today I found some Pilates videos on you.tube and will start doing 30 minutes a day plus biggest losers boot camp 40 minutes, plus 3-4 miles of walk away the pounds as well as my daily walk around the lake....phew sounds hectic just typing it. Is this a pretty good routine? I also found the dance video I was asking about awhile ago on the beach body website, its called hip hop abs. I think I am going to order that one before I order slim in 6. Do you get credit for any other videos or just slim in 6?
Zas - Great job on your 1lb gain. You are doing such a fantastic job, I'm really proud of you!
Sarranea - Sorry to hear about your accident, accidents are never easy to deal with. Hope you get over the body pain and cold soon.
CIA - Congrats on your 3.6 loss! Your husbands spareribs sound so yummy
Butterfly - on your incredible "gain free" weekend! I'm really happy for you, your goal is getting closer and closer. The weather here has been weird...yesterday it was almost 80 degrees today its around 72 and tomorrow its going to rain.
Eva - Good luck starting slim in 6, you will wow us with your results next week! I'm jealous of your snow....can you please send some my way
My little Sweetpea is still sick. Her fever finally left late Saturday evening so we didn't have to take her back in. I'm waiting for her Dr to call so we can see what he wants to do since she is still wheezing. Yesterday she spent the day being spoiled by her Gramma which she loved. BF and I ended up having a last minute Super Bowl gathering at my house and before we knew it we had almost 40 people over. We ordered pizza and had tons of finger foods. I ate a couple of wings from Wings N Things and that was it. It was funny to hear people saying how we were both "glowing with love in our eyes". BF and I made a bet on who would win and of course my team won so I'm super excited to collect my prize!
Time for me to get my Pilates done for the day. I will post again later. Stay POP!

P.S. I forgot to mention that my weigh in this morning only shows a 0.6 weight gain, I'm super stoked about it!!!

MY MARVELOUS MONDAY, here! LOL! I say that, because this is the night when my house is QUIET for a couple of hours. Daddy took the little boys off to basketball practice (he's the coach ) and my older two are also at their basketball practices. Oldest still away at college. So.... all I hear is the dog breathing while he sleeps and the hum of the computer. It's SO strange! LOL!
CIA ~ 3.6…WAY TO GO! That is a great loss for you and 11 total…WOOHOO!! You are on your way, girl! Plus, I bet that 1.4 pound gain will be gone within a day or two! That could EASILY be water weight gain or “waste”. Have a cup of senna tea (right, Elina?)! LOL! I agree with Zas…those roasted cauliflowers sound AMAZING! I so love cauliflower…almost like a potato substitute and I love mushrooms, as a meat substitute! I especially adore portabellas on the grill with sautéed onions! Mmmmm ! You made me laugh…"screaming down the hallway ! The guy that works for you sounds like he has the metabolism called carbohydrate-efficient. That book I mentioned says those folks are usually tall and slim and they usually excel at endurance exercises and sports. They carry less muscle mass but they have a great aerobic capacity. So…send him running on all your errands! LOL!
Anita ~ Sorry to hear your baby is still sick. Glad the fever left, though. Hope she gets better SOON! Wow…you are like a different person since your Mr. RIGHT came along! That workout regimine…how long of a workout are you talking about, girl? That sounds like over 2 hours! Are you going to do that every day? WOW! I am impressed! Oh, and ONLY a couple of wings??...with all that food sitting there in front of you! WAY TO GO! I agree with Zas… a .6 gain…is NO GAIN at all! You surely cannot count THAT ! Hey...I love the new you in italic blue (ooh..I'm a poet! lol)!
Zas ~ Sorry to hear you were hungry today...and probably like this poor lady... Good job staying POP anyway! That is TOUGH to do! You need some of my 10 calorie chicken broth and ZERO/Miracle noodles! Did you make the tomato soup yet? That is extremely helpful on fruit day to keep you satisfied and feeling full. When I first did fruit days without it, I also got hungry between my meals.
Well...time to go work out. Hmmm... is that REALLY what I want to do in this peaceful, quiet time? Nope, not really ! LOL!
EVERYONE!!

Thank you for answering yet more of my questions. I'm glad the pup is on the mend. On past diets i would make a sort of stew from canned tomatoes onions, red and green peppers, zucchini some garlic powder and pepper let it simmer and it would thicken. I'm pretty sure thats ok for veggie day but is it too much to have 1/2 or 1 cup of this with meals? Also I skipped a meal, not purposely, just ran out of time, followed strictly otherwise and gained 1 1/2 overnight. I guess if could be water fluctuation. How often should I get weight on Fl4I. I was so excited the 1st three times i got weight then was so surprised this morning. Today is veggie day I'll see how I do on the scale tomorrow? Thanks Again

Good evening!
Ok first please tell me which emoticon website do you guys use? I found such cute ones but they are for email only. My one computer has smileys on the toolbar but I couldn't find the same thing for my laptop. I WANT FANCY POSTS! lol
Butterfly...I am so happy that a) you weighed yourself after cheat days b/c you really should know how your body reacts to 'regular' eating b) that you didn't gain....see Lorraine is right! and c) that you were able to practice maintenance....it gets easier, trust me. After a while you'll be watching all those people eat the bad stuff and be like...UGH! Gross! You have to find something that you can have as a substitution when you are in a situation where there is desert. I used to bring chocolate vitatops (100 cals) down the shore and while everyone was having brownies, I'd have that. or I had a bag of frozen berries down there...if I have something sweet then I'm not dying for the other stuff I should not eat. When I have time, i will try to write more in detail about what I think about your books and things you mentioned you read....I wrote TWO posts for you all fancy but lost them :(
Zas, so happy you worked out. What week are you on? How do you feel? Is it getting easier? Do you find that it's boring to do the same thing every day? When I was focused doing it, I was determined and I couldnt wait to see the results each week.
Eva...did you do it? Is that why we haven't heard from you ?
Lorraine, so happy the pooch is ok (more or less). It's so sad when they are in pain...they can't tell you how they feel. Hey wanna hear a funny story about my dog? I don't remember if I already wrote it or not...it may be a repeat.
She is not allowed to climb on furniture, only one couch that we recently allowed her to go on b/c she's so cute looking out the window on it.
Last week a friend of mine was over with a midsize dog that immediately got up on the couch. Well of out of the blue my Cassie starts climbing up onto my lap to also sit on the couch! She is 75lbs too so not exactly a lapdog. I honestly saw the thought process 'that dog is sitting on MY couch so why can't I?
We just celebrated her 9th bday yesterday...it's a little bittersweet as she is getting up there in age...she's our first baby and I can't even imagine life without her. I know, I know it's silly to think that way but still...
How old is your baby?
CIA - I want that recipe for flourless cake! :) Please let me know when you make the pizza from cauliflower...I saw these type of recipes before but never tried them. I also made ribs yesterday...they were sooo good!
Anita - yes, if you order from Beachbody, please order through that link I sent you...It'll help my stay 'active' as a coach :(. Actually whenever you order, your order gets credited to a random coach so this way I'll be yours. I would really appreciate this. Your workout plans sound just fabulous!
I hope your little girl gets better soon! My kids have been sick on and off for 2 weeks now! UGH!
No bikini for me! I don't have one! I do have to find one of my granny bathing suits (with a skirt)...there is a huge pool at the hotel.
Icemaidin - you can weigh yourself as much as little as you want. I personally can't go one day w/o it, Butterfly on the other hand only weighs in twice a month! When I'm good, I hop on and off the scale all day long..that's not good either! And as far as adding your little veggie concoction - I would be very careful at first...you want the diet to work for you. The girls here use tomatoes/onions and peppers b/c those are the ingredients in salsa which is allowed by the diet.
Well I better go start packing!

Hi Elina, This is the recipe I used: http://www.cdkitchen.com/recipes/recs/155/Lowcarb_Almond_Flour_Pound_Ca53205.shtml
The cake is easy to make and turned out very moist. I used Bob's Red Mill Almond Meal/Flour. I liked it because they use blanched almonds so the meal/flour is yellow. Trader Joe's also sells almond meal/flour made from whole almonds so their's is brownish (cake has a color similar to banana bread) and is also very delicious. (I haven't used it but had a piece of cake at a friend's house last summer.) I used a 9-1/2 inch spring-form pan. Should have put a cookie sheet under it because butter leaked out into the oven. Had to run the self-cleaning setting yesterday to clean up the mess. Will definitely make this again!!
Butterfly, you are right. The new lbs could be many different things, which is why only I get on the scale on day 12 and again on day 1. There was a time when I would get on the scale 3-4 times a day -- drove myself crazy!! Way too obsessive. LOL! And just think, you're no gain may have actually been a loss!!!
Cheers,

icemaidin1 wrote: Thank you for answering yet more of my questions. Ask as many questions and as often as you like/need to. Don't feel bad in ANY way. We have all "been there" and we are here to support you in this journey! On past diets i would make a sort of stew from canned tomatoes onions, red and green peppers, zucchini some garlic powder and pepper let it simmer and it would thicken. I'm pretty sure thats ok for veggie day but is it too much to have 1/2 or 1 cup of this with meals? Hopefully Lorraine will "chime in", but as long as you are not past "full", I think it should be fine for veggie day OR with a meal. Also, make sure the canned tomatoes do not have added sugar. Also I skipped a meal, not purposely, just ran out of time, followed strictly otherwise and gained 1 1/2 overnight. I guess if could be water fluctuation. This has happened to me a couple of times and it did not seem to affect my loss one way or the other. It most likely IS water fluctuation, or like I mentioned in a previous post..."waste". You'd be surprised how much those two weigh! How often should I get weight on Fl4I. I was so excited the 1st three times i got weight then was so surprised this morning. Today is veggie day I'll see how I do on the scale tomorrow? Thanks Again Like Elina mentioned, I personally do NOT weigh DURING my cycles. This is a very personal decision that only YOU can make, because everyone is affected differently by the dreaded "scale". *I* do not weigh, because of the very fluctuations you are talking about. I would much rather not see that at all , but that is just ME. I get discouraged, even though I KNOW in my head that it is most likely water or waste. I personally do MUCH better when I wait until the morning of day 12. Some of these ladies think I am absolutely crazy , I know! LOL! Now, when I reach my goal, that will be a whole different story. Which I can understand Elina's weighing all of the time (since she IS at her goal weight). I plan to weigh every 3 or 4 days when I reach my goal. We'll see though, what actually happens . One thing to consider is, I know I've seen it posted (can't remember who?) that on most cylces, they lose sometimes 2 or 3 pounds right at the very end of the cycle. You'll just have to figure out which way works best for YOU . Take care and good luck!

Butterfly...I am so happy that a) you weighed yourself after cheat days b/c you really should know how your body reacts to 'regular' eating So true! b) that you didn't gain....see Lorraine is right! THANKS and isn't she always right? and c) that you were able to practice maintenance....it gets easier, trust me. After a while you'll be watching all those people eat the bad stuff and be like...UGH! Gross! Hmmm....I hope you are right! You are forgetting that the sweets aren't what bother me . If you notice, when I talked about the birthday party, I talked about the homemade deep-fried nachos and guacamole dip....not the cake or the icecream. Now, this particular cake was homemade and always delicious, mind you. BUT...it's not the kind of food that I would need to "talk myself down off of the ledge" with...as CIA would say. I love that saying! lol! SO...anyway.... for me.... I guess I would have to take along a low-carb snack, a few nuts, air-popped popcorn, raw veggies and dip, turkey pepperoni, my Cabot lowfat cheese, feta cheese , or something like that. When I have time, i will try to write more in detail about what I think about your books and things you mentioned you read....I wrote TWO posts for you all fancy but lost them :(
Oh, shoot. I hate it when that happens! Before you leave the web page, do the ctrl/A, ctrl/C, and then ctrl/V it all into a word document. THEN... you will at least still have all of your words. Sometimes the emoticons won't re-post, but you won't lose the conversation. That's usually how I do my posts anymore (word doc. first). That way, I can add-to it when I have time or when someone new posts. I am anxious to hear what you have to say about the books. The Goglia one seems to be getting more complicated (and less like "me") the more I read it. The Fat to Skinny seems a bit too extreme for maintenance (lack of virtually any grains at all, OR beans/legumes). He does mention adding them in gradually when you reach your goal though, to see how much your body can metabolize and not gain. Have you read the new S. Beach book? I haven't read the old OR the new one yet. That's next. I am waiting for it to come into our library . You are most likely in bed right now (where I should be), so I'll just say, Good MORNING and Happy Packing! ttyl!

CIA ~ You JUST reminded me that I bought almond meal in my last food co-op order. Totally FORGOT about that! I got it to try it in black bean burgers. I was wondering if I could come up with a recipe for when I have beans and almonds on a meal. It probably wouldn't work without eggs, though. Not sure if I've ever had all three of those come up on a meal before. I was thinking black beans, diced onions, garlic, peppers, eggs, almond meal, salt, pepper, cayenne, and maybe even some miracle rice. Then dry-fry or broil them? Not sure. I'll have to experiment on a choice weekend. Thought they would be good with a roasted red pepper sauce (with feta cheese, maybe? ). Sheesh, I need to go to BED! LOL

You know, I've already mentioned the poor air quality here in SoCal. In fact our pediatrician says that it's common for kids to be put on allergy meds at a young age in this area. Disgusting, huh? I've heard that the best thing to control or reverse upper repiratory ailments is to live in a higher altitude, like the mountains. This would be my dream, so that I can enjoy the latter part of my life. But I'd settle for any altitude with cleaner air. I'm just so tired of headaches, congestion, wheezing, coughing, sneezing, blowing, spitting (ick!), gagging, experiementing with OTC and Rx allergy meds. Even Benadryl doesn't cut it anymore. My teen gets chronic bloody noses, and my tot sneezes up storms. Oh, if I had known about the problematic air quality in this climate, I never would have gone to college here.
So, for what it's worth..."SWF, mother to two *wonderful* children (the most joyous hardship I've ever had) seeks really nice guy who lives in a clean, beautiful part of the world to rescue us and live together in allergy-free peace and harmony, happily ever after."
How's that?

Hello everyone!!
Day 2, had my breakfast so far, very nice and I will survive well with the tomato soup handy if needed! I did my Slim in 6 exercise routine yesterday, it went very well, better than I thought and it is just 35'! The only worry I had was for the resistance bands not to break in pieces when I was stretching them! I know it may sounds stupid, but I was really concious of them not to break and come in to my lovely face ...lol...it is more of a phobia I think, but today, just in case, I will use my hubby's weights.
Zas, my diet twin, we can do a wonderful POP cycle and we are only 1 day apart! Are you in week 5 in Si6?? Have you take your measurements on day 30 and if yes, any changes?? I really like it so far! I just hope I don't get bored... Any recipes you want, just ask, happy to pass them over. I have tried to bake as less as possible (because I know me ) but poor hubby, it is not fair for him! He was ecstatic with the chou and the pizza! (easy to please hheheh)
Anita, I started Si6 yesterday, went very well, as I said to Zas, I hope I don't get bored...cause I am always very enthusiastic to a new thing! Hey, I am actually thinking of trying the Hip Hop Abs once I complete the Si6! OMG, did you see that guy's abs?? How did your Pilates go? I like Pilates! Your fitness routine sounds amazing! Good thought to do all these! That sounds a hectic routine to me ( especially the boot camb), but I am sure it will pay off. Glad you little one is better and so pleased for you and your man
Butterfly, wow! That pic is amazing! You live in the woods, don't you! I remember before you mentioned you have a meadow around the corner! How beautiful! Hubby took pic of me 01:00 in the morning in the snow! I just feel like a child when I see snow...coming from Greece, we don't get it that often in Athens, so I become so so happy whenever I see it! Country line and square dancing?? Never heard of those dances, but would love too! Oh, I hope that you can find a place where you can practice them, since you love them!! Thanks, I will do my best in this cycle and good luck to you...I am sure you will do very very well
Elina, I didn't know I could have put you down as my couch when I ordered the Si6! It went well yesterday! That well, that I even think of getting another programme too. But I think I better hold my horses for a while...in case I get bored... Did you say in the past that the Brazilian Butt thing is not so great?? Is it again a 6wk thing?? Hey, I think you should get a bikini, I am sure you will look a yummy mummy in it! So you are leaving us tomorrow? Is it for a week??
CIA, thanks for posting the link to that recipe...it seems very interesting. I will try to calculate the calories in it.
Have a good day all

Icemaidin.. The zucchini soup sounds great and fantastic for veggie day.. you could add more veggies to make it even more satisfying. I'd be cautious of having it will your meals when not on veggie day, or don't have veggies in your combo, as you don't want to take in too many extra carbs and calories. As I said previously, stay steadfast to see how well you lose with this cycle and if you have a good loss then you could experiment a little with your zucchini soup on your next cycle.
Your small gain overnight is not due to fat gain. It is just the calorie shifting process working and your body adjusting and coping with fluid and waste and is perfectly natural. Weighing daily I know can be motivating to see the loss but it can also be disappointing and destructive when you see such gains and can trigger a compulsive 'eating episode'.. which is why it is better to only weigh at the beginning and end of each cycle.. day 1 and day 12... if you possibly can.
Eva... Glad you enjoyed the soup recipe and so nice to hear that 'you think of me often'.. that is very sweet.. thank you! Good luck with fruit day today but I'm sure you won't need it
Butterfly... I'm am really chuffed that you managed to get through your choice days without gaining.. but as you have never weighed after choice days before I suspect you have unknowingly accomplished this before. It does make sense to weigh after choice days as you need to know whether you are learning how to maintain your loss. And you have just proved to yourself that you CAN do that! And that's fantastic! It means that you are more likely to keep it off when you reach your goal.. which in my opinion is just as important as dieting.
You and Elina made me chuckle when I read your comment about 'me always being right'... lol.. maybe I should change my avatar to a old wise owl instead of the mother hen?? hehehe
CIA... Congrats on your loss.. well done you! Don't worry too much about the small gain over the choice days it will soon disappear again with this new cycle. Beer will always make you gain a bit back. My hubby lost almost 35lbs on fl4i and the scales never budge and he stays the same every week that he weighs.. EXCEPT for when he has a couple of beers... then he always has to do a couple of days on plan to get off the 2-3lbs he gains every time! Yet he seems to be able to nibble biscuits and potato chips most days without gaining a single ounze! Good job he doesn't drink beer very often!
Anita... Thank you for the lovely comments... lol.. ME a counselor.. now there's a thought! Congrats on your no gain.. such a small amount really is not a gain.. just your body adjusting as it does throughout the day, every day! So well done on maintaining! that is fabulous!!
I hope your little girl feels better soon.. please give her a hug from all of us.

Elina.. I don't use any particular website for emoticons.. I just type into google whatever topic I want an emoticon for such as hug smiley gif and then click image search. I then save the image to photobucket and copy the url to my message where I want to use it.
Happy 9th birthday tor your pup and I hope he has many, many more! My Max is just 4 yr old. He is still lame but much more comfortable. He's content enough sleeping by the fire mostly but I think that is due to the drugs he is on.
Sarranea... How is your cycle going.. are you still losing? Did you manage to sort the sleep eating? I laughed at your 'man wanted ad'.. lol.. but wasted here with all us women
Happy fruit day to those on day 2.. don't forget you can make the warming quick tomato soup to help get you through.. (recipe on recipe thread).

Morning all, I am still depressed about the superbowl but I am surviving. Had a fairly POP weekend, didn't have carbs but subbed a lot of my proteins and had a lot of wine and soda water... So I am up 1 pound. But today I am drinking tons of water to get rid of all and going to be POP for the rest...
Did anyone see Hungry Girl on foodnetwork this weekend? She made a chicken amoure, which is a stuffed chicken breast with laughing cow cheese (low cal soft cheese) with portabella mushrooms, red peppers... It looked so yummy and 98% POP I am thinking of making this for hubby for valentines day. Check it out if you didn't see it...
I am so excited everyone seems to be doing well... The loses are great and workouts. I think it is time I start working out.... Maybe I will join the slim in 6 band wagon, I do have it....Ill try to motivate myself to start on Monday...
Hope everyone continue to have a great day. Lorraine, I hope doggy is doing better. Anita I'm thinking of your baby,.. and welcome to all the newbies and everyone don't forget we need lots of for a successful cycle...

We live on a long strip (4 acres) of open land (with several trees and a fruit orchard), there are meadows on each side (the one in the pic has lots of bushes and some big trees... and my walking path), then there is woods behind our house that also has part of my walking path going through it (just beyond the yard) and another small woods on the other side of the house . I remember before you mentioned you have a meadow around the corner! How beautiful! Thank you. We really love it here. Zas, I think the workout is max 35'. I did the 2 extra workouts too..so a good 1hr spend with Debbie today! I feel a bit sore today every time I use the stairs. I took my scary pics and my measurements today...I am very curious to see what I will achieve. I am glad you are motivated and you will continue for life with exercise!!! Wow, that's a lot of cooking!! I have never tasted sweet corn soup, does it taste a lot like sweetcorn?? (what a question!...I am asking only because I am not a lover of it).
Butterfly, thanks for the calorific values...I just need to read better! What's the matter with me?! Well now I think about it..I wont sacrifice 262cal for a cake (even though it is low-cab)...I can have 3 eggs instead! Wish I could find the 10cal chicken broth here!

Yep, I got to thinking about that. If you are stewing all the veggies, the calories and carbs would r ise significantly higher than if you use fresh tomatoes, onions, and peppers (& mushrooms ) in say, a stir-fry. Plus, with the added zucchini...your carbs would be way up there. See...Lorraine IS always right! teehee Butterfly... You are very welcome . I looked at the chicken broth I get and it is actually only 5 calories per CUP!! The WHOLE carton is ONLY 20! It is Private Selection Organic. I purchase it at Kroger groceries. Amazon has College Inn Light and Fat Free brand. That one is ALSO only 5 calories per cup! Can you get that where you are? Any fat-free canned or boxed chicken broth is low in calories. I think the most I've seen is 15 in a cup. Look around and see what you can find where you are. I love it in the evening or whenever I need something savory to fill and warm me up. It takes the edge off when I stay up too late and my meals are all done. I drink 6-8 oz. heated up with a little seasonings. Mmmmm. You could always add some water and more seasonings, too. Okay, now I REALLY have to go get ready for the b-ball games! LOL! c-ya!

My dearest twin,
we are all human and sometimes it is natural to feel a bit low...otherwise happiness would have no meaning. As for little tiffs, we all have them...no man is perfect (lol)...we love them and that's why we accept their good and bad side, as they do the same for us. You are such a good mom for not showing this to your daughters because of their exams. But I am sure they would be happy to share with you all your heart. I also feel for you for missing your son...hope he can visit you soon. I miss my family too, as they are far away from me, but mainly I miss my best friend, my sweet mother, who is so away and so close to me at the same time...she left us...
I am also so prouf of you for choosing the right food! You are doing so well!
Hope you manage to relax a bit, not to forget how precious you are to your family and friends and off course, to us, your FL4I friends too.
Sleep tight my dear

Good morning!
I am all dressed, packed and ready to go! Ok how is this for motivation? or...reason for therapy....I worked out! I woke up at 2am and got up and did my workout! I really wanted to but I thought that if I don't wake up on my own, I'm not going to force it. But I did wake up and I did it! I intend of working out while I'm away...got my DVD player packed up and my DVDs!
Zas....:( I hope you're feeling better today. Men...you know how they are. I'm just glad that you only had cottage cheese! I think that's a victory! You can vent here all you want...we all have those men, we all understand!
Eva...I started to write a post but was too tired to finish it before bed....PLEASE don't have an attitude that you will get bored with Si6! NO! You won't be bored ! you will do it every day for 6 weeks and you will see results! Think about me...I did it in a hotel room, I did it after coming home late from a trip...woke up in the am and did it! It's only 6 weeks, c'mon! And there will be moments when it will be boring and you'll want to quit but you have to work through that! Have your eyes on the prize!!!
Butterfly...first of all...so sorry that you are seeing 'previews' of unseen episodes! Just close your eyes. Are the episodes playing in order though?
Secondly..I'm sorry...it's me that craves sweets! Ok so I got a solution for you you salt craving diva! Pop chips! Ever try them? they are great! And dip them into plain greek yogurt...chips and dip! there you go...pack them if you are tempted by nachos!
Bostonchick..you have slim in 6? C'mon hop on the wagon!!!
Ok...I gotta run so I can't address everyone but I wish you all a POP day! I'll check in...hopefully my tablet will work with the wifi there and I'll be able to post from sunny FL!
