I have a question about some of the recipes. Why do they have cream cheese and a host of other things I thought were not allowed on the diet?

Some say (you can omit this) or change it up the way you want it, but many don't.

I am confused,

I'm approaching day 5 and I know vegetable day is coming up... I'm not quite sure what to do on that day. I'm not much of a vegetarian nor am I very fond of any vegetables. Carrots and green beans (cooked) are only things I like.

Am I just going to have to resort to scarfing down a couple salads that day? Why is a vegetable day/fruit day neeeded in this diet anyway?

Robert... yes, I do the whey protein with skim milk every morning.  And, if my workout comes later in the day, I have some more before the workout sometimes, but definitely after.  Working with weights ups your protein requirements so don't worry about it.

But I do recommend a low carb whey product.  Some have too much sugar.  Did you find "Lean Fit"? on-line?

As to exercise, rigorous weight workouts are great, and if you can find the 30-45 minutes a day to walk that's great, too.  But just a caution: too ambitious a program can have unexpected psychological wear and tear.   3 times a week with weights is plenty.  Your muscles need time to repair and recover and grow.  And if I thought I had to walk 30-45 minutes every day I'd go crazy and probably not do any of it.  So, give yourself a chance to mentally recover as well, and maybe reduce your walking schedule.

Sounds like you're getting plenty of water.   Don't have any more than what you're having, though.

Gotta run!

Robert...do you like chili?  I've got a recipe you'd swear was beef chili and you can probably adjust per your veggie likes and dislikes.  Let me know.  No time to send it, now, but I'll try to post it if you're interested.

I am so sorry I was not here today, but this was a very special day for me.  My granddaughter, Lilah was born today.  Hurry, and go here.... http://www.caloriesperhour.com/forums/forum3/8321-10.html

I promise to try to catch up tomorrow, but I promised my boss I would come in for at least 1/2 day and take care of business and then go back to the hospital.   She is beautiful I don't know how I can sleep tonight... I can't stop thinking about her!  I am so tired as I have been up since 5am, so I am heading to bed in a few,  and after work I will be going back to the hospital.  I promise to try to pop in as soon as possible, but it may be tomorrow evening before I can catch up on all the posts.  I am so happy!  Thank all of you  for your thoughts and prayers.  She is a beautiful miracle! :grin::grin::grin::grin::grin::grin::grin::grin::grin::grin::grin::grin::grin::grin::grin::grin::grin::grin::grin::grin::grin::grin::grin::grin::grin::grin::grin::grin::grin::grin::grin::grin::grin:

Good morning all,

Congratulations Webfairy - your Granddaughter looks gorgeous, I'm so glad she arrived safe and well.

Well I'm on day 8 of the cycle, veg day which I've been dreading, just about to make a chilli and might make a small soup, roll on tomorrow lol.

I haven't weighed myself but I can feel my trousers getting looser - is that possible so quickly or am I just imagining it lol.

Hi Latinluva - personally, as you were so early on in the diet, if I were you I would start from scratch. I don't really have any tips on how to get through the fuit day, you just need to psych yourself up and do it. Also make sure that you eat enough fruit in each meal so that you feel satisfied. The sandwich helps break it up a lot. I had that for my lunchtime meal that day and I made it a good one, keeping within the rules of course. I also toasted the sandwich in my george foreman grill so it was a hot meal which helped. Good luck.

To everyone else, well done on weight losses, and for those that haven't managed don't give up, hopefully it will be a bumper loss next cycle:smile:.

Latinluva~I too would start over. I also have my sandwich at lunch, it just works out better for me not to get hungry. I also have tomato soup for a meal, since tomatoes are fruit, so that only leaves me with 2 fruit meals. I make my own soup or i get trader joe's in a pinch.

Who ever said they wake up in middle of the night hungry>>> well, i guess that stuck in my brain...cause I'm up and couldn't go back to sleep because i was hungry!!! so i just had a big glass of water and a handful of grape tomatoes...so off i go again, i might be able to get a good 4 hrs in.

Sweet Dreams Everyone!:moon:

Gencaf, the diet is not specific about the kind of cheese you can eat. It just says to have "regular cheese slices". The way I look at it, cheese is cheese if there are no specifics. Some of us have been on this diet longer so we experiment for variety to see what works. I recommend you try it and just stop if it affects your losses.

Hey Kitty...I know I wake up hungry in the middle of the night and always try to starve my way through or eat something and feel bad about it.  Last night I had a small handful of peanuts and boy oh boy it really did help me sleep.  I do feel a bit bad but I thought it's better than starving night after night just to end up on a binge on day 5 or 6...so, I'm hoping this will help get me to day 10 of bc.

did you sleep better with the tomats in ur tummy?

GOOD MORNING LOSING!

WOW!  I'm right up the road from you and Gencaf is right down the road from you!

I wonder if your malls down there have a Mongolian Bistro in the food court.  Check it out!  If you like broccoli, you will love this.  You can pile on the veggies in a little bowl- it's an art!  Start with the small stuff like tofu (if you like it), then the mushrooms, celery, onions, then the broccoli, and top it off with the bean sprouts.  Choose your weapon sauce, tell them no meat and they will cook it for you- AWESOME!  That's how I get through veggie day sometimes; HOWEVER, you might want to take some Beanos or the like!:dizzy:  Sometimes, I have a hot air ballon experience!  LOLOLOLOL!

Hahaha yeah Alexandria is about an hour north of me, maybe less with my driving ;). I saw you guys talking about busch gardens in williamsburg.... I was just there last tuesday. I'm a big roller coaster fan so I hit up all the roller coasters 2-3 times.
We do not have a Mongolian Bistro that I know of unfortunately but we do have a soup restaurant nearby. I might try looking for a similiar veggie soup there. Thanks for the suggestions!

Larry --  I LOVE chili (especially meaty chili haha). What is the recipe for the chili you make?

Also I looked up lean fit whey protein powder and it is very similar to the powder i use now... mine has 26g protein 1g fat 3g carbs 130 cals per serving. I mixed it with my 1% fat milk yesterday and it tasted great! Thanks for that suggestion.

Is there a difference with the powder I use and lean fit? Its called whey protein powder from fitness fortress.

I tried reading the book on High Intensity Training but it does not divulge any information about a workout program. Do you have to purchase the book to read about that?

Welcome Latin...I would start over...you've accomplished nothing so far...just be better prepared for fruit day. ...make a fruit salad full of wonderful fruit that you enjoy.  You can eat that sandwich for lunch or dinner.  I would suggest having tomato soup for lunch with fruit if that will be easier for you and then a nice sandwich for dinner...then some baked fruit for the evening.
Latin...this plan is only 11 days...just tell yourself that you can do anything for just 11 days and then make a commitment to stick with it strictly.  After that you can decide if you want to do another do another cycle.  If you are strict you can feel you deserve those choice days.
Just my two cents

Webfairy...you and Wee Fairy look beautiful together:tongue: I congratulated you last night on the chat but I wanted to tell you again just how happy I am to see you holding that precious little bundle in your arms...finally..lol

Ok, I know you are not supposed to :dizzy: but does anyone else weigh daily and if so does the scale fluctuate a lot while you are doing the DG?

I lost quick at first, now it went up again. Ugh? I hate that and am not used to it. No, I am not near TOM it was over last week.

I just wondered about other's experiences. Yesterday was day 5 BTW if that helps.

Thanks,
Laurie

Gen...do NOT weigh if it will discourage you.  For me...the scale bounces up and down by 0-3 pounds.  Food retained in the gut, hormonal changes(this can happen midcycle too), water weight..etc etc.  It is normal for many of us.  BUT...if you are not cheating the losses will show up eventually...and sometimes you'll lose 3 pounds in one day..surprise!!!  But if the scale going up three pounds makes you feel like giving in and not caring:nono: and eating:chewing:...then do not weigh until the end...give a friend your scale to store:grin:  If you are a die hard weigher...keep a chart that tells your weight day by day each cycle...even a graph to see the normal ups and downs.  Even non- dieters can fluctuate...but carb sensitive individuals and women tend to fluctuate more.

Oh  man, you are right Sunshine!  Sorry about that.  I found that forum when I was thinking of buying the plan.  I only went into the "General Discussion" area and didn't notice much spam.  However, I just noticed now he made an announcement about how much spam they are getting.

I noted all the porn in the "Introduce" part, but I didn't look in there until just now.  So sorry!

Congratulations Grandma WebFairy!  She is adorable!!  Enjoy every precious moment of this gift.

Robert, that whey you use sounds perfect.  Is it whey protein isolate?  That's supposed to be the best, but if yours isn't isolate, don't worry.  It'll do the job.

Yes, you do have to buy the HIT book to learn its secrets.  They can't very well tell you all about it on-line - but it's not pricey and it 's well worth the investment.  No matter how long you've worked with weights, you start at the Beginner level.  Don't be fooled.  It's no cake walk.  But you'll immediately cut your workout time in half AT LEAST.

So here's that veg chili recipe.  I would have posted it in the recipe thread but it can be confusing to find (my apologies to the rest of the forum for posting it here!)

Hope you like it, Robert!

VEGETARIAN CHILI (makes at least 20 1 cup servings, great for freezing!)

2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil

1 large cooking onion, diced

4 or 5 cloves garlic, minced

1 good sized zucchini diced

2 med red bell peppers, diced

2 med green bell peppers, diced

2 jalapeno peppers, seeded (mostly - I like a few seeds) and diced

1/2 tsp black pepper

1/2 tsp salt

1 tbsp chili powder

1 tsp ground cumin

1 (16 oz) can pinto beans (drained)

1 (16 oz) can black beans (drained)

1 (16 oz) can red kidney beans (drained)

2 (26 oz) cans diced tomatoes

2 tbsp fancy molasses

2 340gram pouches of "Yves Mexican Veggie Ground Round"

Heat oil in large stockpot over medium heat. Add onion & garlic & saute constantly until soft, about 2 min. Add jalapeno and bell peppers & saute until almost soft, about 4 min, then add zucchini, cook for another minute, stirring as needed. Stir in the diced tomatoes, then add the beans and the spices and bring to a boil.  Then add the molasses and crumble the Yves Mexican Veggie Ground Round into the pot and heat through.  Cover and reduce to simmer for about 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.

SS:sun:

I really probably shouldn't, but I do. I just cannot NOT weigh. I tried giving it to hubby to hide, but then I drove him nuts and found it when he was gone.

I think maybe I am going a little nutsy off the processed foods and sugar. It is really killing me not eating especially the carbs in the morning. The days with oats are better, but when it is bacon or something like that I just feel yucky. I am having a hard time seeing myself ever making it through 11 days without any big carbs. :nono: I love my ww english muffins and such.

I did really well the first 4 days, but then the loss just totally stalled out and now I am bummed.

If you all eat one bad thing that day, do you just get back on the wagon or chalk up the day?

I think for me this is a lot less calories than I was eating and I wonder what my body is thinking. I cannot say I am hungry now, I have gotten used to it. Just not happy with eating like this I guess. I am still getting headaches too for some reason?

Don't get me wrong, I think this is probably better eating (not health wise), as I think my body is sensitive to carbs, but it is so tough. I am a carb addict. Like if you left me alone, especially before I began dieting in January I would just live on them- I could live without meat even and just have fruit, veggies and lots of starch. That is how I got fat.

My old way was no longer working though, (counting calories) so I am going to just have to suck it up. It is harder since everyone else (all 5 of them) in the house is eating delicious things. Hubby wanted me to make him cherry crisp, so I did and didn't even taste it. People have given us zucchini and the kids begged for bread, etc. They are all eating waffles and such for breakfast. It looks so good.

Thanks for all your help,
Laurie

Wow thanks Larry! Just printed the recipe now so I can go to the store and buy the items ahead of time.

Would tomato soup be ok for vegetable day? I like the tomato soup that comes in a can which I'd imagine is processed and is better than real tomato soup.

I checked my protein shake and it says under ingredients: Whey Protein Blend (Whey Protein Concentrate, Whey Protein Isolate) so I guess it does have some isolate in it.

I will buy the book because I know once I go to college in the fall all my exercise time will suddenly become much more sparer. Might as well get used to the regimen now.

Gen...you hit the nail on the head when you said "addiction"!  So treat it like an addiction....don't take a little "swig" of cheat carbs everyday and think you will be OK.  It is really hard...we have all been there.  It takes a few cycles to detox and feel better....but you will.  Find some "replacements" to get you through...eat a bowl of frozen grapes in the evenings, make your milk into a frappucino or latte or cappucino. Sweeten full fat cottage cheese with lemonaide powder, blend and dust with cinnamon...or add vanilla or almond extract or what ever fav flavor, take diet rootbeer and add milk for a float...bake a warm cinnamon apple...make some plans for those emergencies.  I find that eating a couple dill pickles or drinking a tablespoon of organic apple cider vinegar in water cuts cravings.  You can do this...we are here for you.

Hi All,

I have just started on the FatLoss4Idiots diet and have
to say I feel like a new man already. I weighed myself
last Tuesday and was startled to see that I weighed
238lbs. Now I havent had the courage to weigh myself
yet, I am going to wait till the 1st cycle ends this
weekend. I don't know if I have lost any weight yet
but I feel much better and am sleeping better within
the 1st week which is a great sign :-)

I have been having 1 or 2 problems with putting together
tasty meals within the last week as I am a fairly shocking
chef. I am sure there are many others who are experiencing
the same problems on that front like I am. It is the one
downside of FatLoss4Idiots.

This gave me an idea but before I take it any further
I need some feedback as it will require a good deal of work.

I see that there are a lot of people here that contribute
regularly to the forums and I am amazed by the support
that people give to each other.

What I wanted to do was to give back to the community. You
see I have a friend who is a top chef and have this idea
of asking him to put together some recipes. However these
just won't be ordinary recipes.

I was planning on videoing him putting together his
ingredients and showing people step by step how to cook
the meals. What I was thinking of was asking him to put
together a bunch of meals that are specifically built around
the FatLoss4Idiots methodology.

I wanted to know if people would be interested in watching
these videos and trying the recipes that Brian makes. This
also means that I would get some free recipes as well which
shows me step by step how to cook the meals:-)

All I would ask for is people's feedback on the videos,
what they liked, disliked, suggestions etc.

As I said earlier FatLoss4Idiots is having a huge impact
on my life. I have 2 young girls aged 6 and 4 and I have
far more energy within the last week to play with them and
that is all down to FatLoss4Idiots.

This is just my way of saying thanks for all the posts that
I have read and tips that I have received.

Please feel free to PM me if you are interested.

Stephen

Yep, it's 3:30 on fruit day, and I'm pretty sure if I was asleep I would be dreaming about a deli sandwich.  Of course there is no chance of my falling asleep as my stomach growling keeps waking me up!

I don't think it is necessarily hunger pains, I think it is all this fruit...I love/hate fruit day.  It is the hardest for me to stick through, and the one with the most results.

Hi-all!  Hope everyone is doing well, whatever day of the cycle you are on.

PS:  Congrats to you, Web Fairy, that was a long haul, enjoy that grandbaby!

Hey to all you lovely losers out there!

Congratulations, WebFairy!!! She was much anticipated and finally here!!! Savor every moment!

I have been MIA for a couple of weeks. We went back to Colorado for my sister-in-laws funeral and then returned home for the 4th celebrations. I started out really, really well -- my daughter complained bitterly about my all fruit day -- our first day there -- she was going to have non of it! I stuck to my guns and ate only fruit and for dinner had rolled up deli meat instead of a sandwich... then things turned ugly. The next two days, meals were few and far between -- mostly family stuff. I missed the post-funeral lunch at the church since I instead took the kids to the airport so they could get an early flight out... I tried to stay on the low carb side, at least. Then once home, we did the typical 4th stuff with hot dogs and stuff. Sigh. Since I wanted to stay with my SV buddies I opted not to start over, but to just pick up the diet on Monday.

The good news -- I didn't gain any weight. The bad news -- I haven't lost any either. Still sitting at 33 lb loss, so far. I seem to be stuck. I leave tomorrow for a conference in Seattle, so I know that my diet will be compromised again. I stuck with my fruit today (looking forward to my sandwich!). I shopped this weekend at the Farmers Market and got some lovely peaches and strawberries. I also tossed in blueberries and blackberries (very low on the glycemic index) and some store-bought grapes. Delicious!! I will continue to do what I can while at the conference. As you know, they seem serve only doughnuts, bagels, muffins and cookies at those things. Strength!!!

Cheers, Teri

I can see you have been there.  I  have been reading the advice you gave to another person today on planning and some of those things to be ready to have when those cravings just seem  to much to bear, awesome ideas.  I  am going to get back with the program soon, have almost run out of excuses to myself (work has been to busy to stop and eat etc. I am starting to believe I am worth it and I am just going to have to make myself stop and eat) I have started  a bible study that I also believe will help get me past this cycle.  From what I've learned so far I  seem to think I don't deserve to be thin. Sounds silly but a lot of what I am studying seems to fit.   I don't want to overanalyze things, but I do want to figure out why I sabotage myself.  I want to stop, lose this weight for the last time and get off the diet roller coaster once an for all.  I want to be healthy, and a good example to my daughters and grandaughters.  :grin:Just read what I wrote, I think I needed to hear myself say all of that!!  Thanks for listening.  Maybe I need to start journaling!!!  Anyways it is so nice to be able to come here for advice or just a listening ear.  Thank you:rose::heart::rose:

Hello Everyone~today is fruit day and I just wanted to pass along something I have been doing lately. i have been grilling on the outdoor grill... peaches, plums, when I do the BC pineapple...delicious!!!

Had lunch with Cubs today, she looks great and doing well maintaining. We did talk about how much we love food. We both have similar tastes in food. But we are both doing well with maintaining, knowing if we let ourselves go, we would be back to where we were and we don't want that. I think we have figured it out.We don't like it sometimes, but we know what causes our weight gain.
I am going to bed early hoping to catch up for the sleep i missed last night.

Web~How's your daughter and little Lilah doing??

Good night!!:moon:

:sun: Thanks Sunshine! Great tips! We stopped at Trader Joe's on the way home from work today and picked up some pineapple and OJ for tomorrow morning's smoothie -- and  also I picked up some nuts and dried strawberries. for the trip I like the idea of cheese sticks and carrots. I will wait to get there to see if I get a fridge in my room. I am in the Crown Regency and am a Preferred member and we typically get upgrades. If so, then I will find a store in downtown Seattle and stock up.

Stephen (a/k/a Netresults)-

I think this is a FABULICIOUS idea!  AND, I think if this goes over well, instead of putting the chef's recipes innertwined with the recipe thread, we might should create a brand new thread for his recipes alone!

ANYONE ELSE want to chime in?

Great idea!

I've been trying to get my aunt to do the same thing (she already does cooking videos for people suffering/recovering from lupus). However, she is vegetarian and would not be able to make recipes for the meat components of the diet.

Go for it!

Hi sunshine, Willpower Weanie, Louie agl3591 and losinglbs

Thanks for the positive feedback on the videos.

My chef friend Brian who I want to approach
on behalf of the FL4I members already has quite
a following on youtube.

Some of his cookery videos have already been
watched 17,000 times :-) He has a real passion
for cooking and doesn't sell anything at all.
These videos are 100% free.

If you want to go over and check out some of
his videos please feel free to do so. Before
you do that though the videos on Youtube ARE
NOT recipes for people who are doing the
FL4I diet. They are just general cooking videos

He will specifically have to make videos for
us based on the FLFI rules and regulations.
With his flair for cooking though this shouldn't
be a problem at all :-)

Here is the link to his channel on Youtube.

http://www.youtube.com/user/ChefsTips

Let me know what you think. Any additional
ideas/suggestions on how best to incorporate
this would be appreciated

Stephen

PS. I am getting fairly excited now as my first
complete cycle ends this Friday Evening. The
2nd weigh in taking place on Saturday morning.
I will keep you posted.

Someone earlier on asked about Morningstar Products -- just wanted to say I'm a veggie and they are the only brand of veggie burgers and veggie sausages I will buy. None of the others taste as good to me.

On Day 6 of DG today, so far the diet is going great and I've stuck to it just about perfectly, but I'm finding that today I'm eating A LOT. The food on this day does not seem very filling, and I'm stuffing my face. I sure hope this doesn't hurt any gains I've made, especially after making it Fruit Day!!!

Did anyone else experience this?

Not weighing myself until first cycle is over, but have noticed that some of my clothes fit better.

I'm on day 6 of DG (first cycle) as well! Fruit day really cut into my waist size as well... I'm usually a 34 inch waist but I can fit comfortablly into my brother's 32 inch jeans now... something must be working.

I'm getting a little worried now though because I weighed myself this afternoon and I weigh 189.8 lbs (started at 200). 10 lbs in 6 days seems a little extreme to me. Perhaps it is because my fitness was there but my eating/drinking habits were terrible? Also I'm almost 18 years old, maybe that plays a factor.

First time i've been under 190 lbs in god knows how long hahaha.

Losing...CONGRATULATIONS!!!  That is great!  Isn't it wonderful to eat healthy tasty foods until satisfied ...and still lose weight?!  You will find that as you get to your goal the losses will slow...which is good...our bodies know.  The first cycle you lose a lot of carb water retention weight...this also allows the muscle to begin to show:grin:  As long as you are eating until satisfied you are doing OK..no worries.

Thanks so much SS... I've only felt hungry on fruit days because I'm not much of a fruit/veggie eater but other than that I'm only hungry right before I need to eat a meal. I guess the key is I'm drinking a ton of water... (10-11 glasses a day).

This is so easy it's unbelievable. Should I stay on DG for a couple cycles or give BC a try? I think if I'm getting this much success on DG I should at least stay on it for a while.

Robert...stick with the DG if you are doing great....many never go over to the BC...the DG is so easy and it is a great way to maintain your weight loss if you add some complex carbs like veggies or yams or salads to your Protein meals.  Glad you love it!  I have been maintainging great!

I agree with everyone who says how easy this diet is. No hunger, which is just astonishing...And I don't mind the weird food combinations, I eat some odd combinations of food even when I'm not dieting.

Greatly appreciate the fact that the food requires minimal preparation and is easy to carry to work.

Also, I'm used to drinking a lot of water -- I don't drink juice or soda so water is my usual beverage; that part is no biggie for me although I know some people have a hard time with it. (Here's a hint: If you don't like the taste of your local tap water, drink it really really cold. At home I fill up empty bottles and keep them in the fridge, so they're icy-cold when I pull them out.)

I guess the one downside is you can't eat in restaurants, but I think it's best to avoid those if you're dieting anyway. Last night I was out with friends and brought along my cheese and cashews to nibble on, but they were ordering subs and fries and clam baskets and beers and it was a little tough!! But I made it!!!

Nicely done porcupine! It's hard watching people eat nice food while you gotta stick to a diet. It's a true test of your motivation and attitude though.

If we eat out or go get fastfood, I just get the closest I can to the meal. EG: ham/roast beef slices = roast beef sandwich from arbys with the arby sauce (like ketchup so its allowed condiment).

I get the grilled chicken sandwich with no fries (some kind of fruit like strawberries) whenever we eat out even if chicken wasn't on my DG menu (I just replace it with a protein meal the DG compiled).

Been there- done that eating out. It is terrible. I have enough temptations everyday with a family of 6. My kids are constantly eating and wanting me to fix all sorts of things since I started this diet. It is like it has been some sort of cue for them to either eat or request that I fix things I would love to be eating.

In the past week alone I have made zucchini bread, a cherry crisp with fresh cherries for hubby, peanut butter cookies for a function for my daughter at church (yes, there were leftovers), and last night banana crumb muffins. Ugh. How I have wanted to eat these things. Then today my husband and daughter talked endlessly about an upcoming family birthday party and how we should have a taco party and I should fix bean dip! I was hungry just hearing about it! :dizzy:

I have accepted some of it, as I am the Mom and I am a Mom who stays home and cooks a lot for her family. It is just who I am and I do not want to change that. I want them to remember the good cooking and enjoy it. It just takes some getting used to- to not indulge myself. They aren't the ones with the weight problem, I am- so I need to get over it. I do fix lots of healthy things and things I can eat, but of course would love to be eating those things too!

I think it gets easier as you go along. I am finally feeling better eating this way. At first I was feeling bad a lot and had lots of headaches. I also notice I am not craving the carbs as much today so that is good.

Hang in there,
Laurie

On Monday I'm going througth a 2 week Atkins induction phase then I'll go back to FL4I. I just want to break this stall. I've tried throwing in a fruit day and I also threw in a fruit anbd veggie day consisting of veggie soups and eating just about every fruit allowed on the plan. It worked but I know I can't go eating like that for a week.

I'll be around here to give tips to the newbies though. I'm sorry but this stall has lasted 4 months and that's just too much for me to handle. I'm at the point where I'm actually gaining a lb a cycle.

Great job on the weight loss losing!!  That is terrific!

Omayra, so sorry about the stall.  That is very frustrating!  Especially when you feel like you're doing everything right.  I'm sorry I'm not familiar with how much you lost and how much more you wish to lose?

Hello to everyone else and hope that everyone is having a good cycle!  Am a bit nervous as going to an amusement park tomorrow.  I plan on packing cold chicken, cheese sticks, and some grapes for our picnic lunch.  At dinner, I hope I can find some roast beef slices.  If not, I'll probably have more chicken!  Hopefully won't be too tempted by the funnel cakes!

Have a great night everyone!

Jewel,

I weighed 178 at the start of this diet last summer (2 weeks ago was my one year anniversary). By this past Christmas I dropped below my goal weight of 154. I got to weigh 151, which was my weight 5 years ago.

Since March, I hit a major stall. Since I was in the process of moving, I decided to put off my diet until I got more established in my new home. Since then I gained over 10 lbs back and the weight has just kept creeping up. I was 170 by late April, when I got back on the DG, and I lost 5 lbs in a month but for the past 2 or 3 cycles, the weight just keeps creeping up. I only lose the weight I gain on cheat weekends but I find myself being a lb heavier each cycle and this is happening even when I drink enough water! I'm now at one 168.6.

If 2 weeks of living on all protein and low carb veggies doesn't work, I'm going to see a doctor.
