justamom - what do you mean "JUST a mom?" Moms are the BEST! I have a 5 year-old who keeps me running 24/7. I don't know how you do it with 3! And the fact that you quit smoking! You should be commended!
I lost the 20 pounds in just over 3 11-day periods...about a month and a half. I didn't lose as much each time as many other people we read about. The first 11-days I lost 7 pounds....another 7 the next period and then only 5 the last time and an additional pound after that. The first 2 times I stuck to the diet rules but didn't do enough exercise. The last one I substituted some meals with others, didn't drink enough water....got a little too care-free. But I'm still down 20 & holding.
I joined this group in late August. You can go back and read some of what I wrote. I plan to start my 4th round within a week or so. I have to do some traveling and work which would make it tough to stay on the plan right now. This program has worked very well for me. I haven't experienced any hunger. I'd like to lose another 55 pounds and then maintain it. The fact that it comes off quickly - keeps me motivated. I also like the fact that you can eat any amount you want, as long as you stop before you are full. I've tried all the major (sensible diets) but even with exercise saw very little results. I have also worked out religiously in the past, but have not seen much as far as weight loss...felt better though. I want to get off of the blasted blood pressure pills! My doctor put me on them 2 years ago and they make me miserable, besides the fact that I've gained 20 pounds since I started them.
On the 3 days off I eat what I want, but try not to over do it. If it's something I really like I try to just have a small amount (especially sweets). But then I also noticed that I'm making smarter choices in what I eat on those days. I just realized that I haven't had anything fried since I started the diet in August.
I've searched all over trying to find testimonials for this diet...only found a few. We are eating well balanced meals and drinking water. I think the reason for the rapid weight loss is the concept of alternating the types of meals and therefore boosting the metabolism. As I’ve said before, this time I can actually see that I have lost fat, not water weight.
Good luck to you Super Mom!

| Hi, on my third day - but not clear on a few things - the meal #'s - do you have to eat in the order that it specifies? The diet I generated gave me a hamburger for meal #1. Also, can you swap one day for another generated day 3 etc.... looking for tips - also, not willing to give up my morning latte and have still lost 3 pounds!

Hey guys.... I need help! End of Day 3 here and feeling miserable :(
Been following the diet religiously....drinking the water.. walking 45 minutes a day... no alcohol... no sweets.... food really boring.... BUT as yet nothing... if anything I seem to have put on a lb or 2!!! how is this possible?? And I'm nowhere near that time of the month either to justify possible weight gain.... this is soooo frustrating!! how come everybody else manages??
I know it's early days but usually I always shed a couple of lbs during the first few days of a diet!!
Somebody stop me before I go in search of something good....

glovest - 3 pounds in 3 days!!! That's great :P I only lost 4 the whole 1st round As for the order of the meals - I don't think they want you to switch them around. I think the idea is to have a higher calorie meal first one day and then last another day, so you can trick your metabolism. One morning I ate a turkeyburger and mixed vegetables for breakfast!

Hi!
Heaterguy - I am sorry the diet did not work out for you. I was also feeling very tired and did not have a lot of energy the first time I did the diet. This is my second time and I am not as tired. Good luck with the diet you are on now. I know you can do it!
justamom - I gained 4#'s back over the three days off as well. The first day I gained nothing, the second day 1# and the third day I had some Chinese food (I peeled off all the deep fried coating) and I gained 3#'s!!!! I was disappointed but I was still down 4 pounds. I am on day 3 of my 2nd time and I am down 2 of the 4 that I gained back, making me down 6#'s. I am not hungry this time on the diet, but I still crave the things I really love, like bagels, cake, junk food, etc. I have never been on any diet that these cravings went away completely. However, on this diet I can watch other people eat these things and not want to wrestle them to the ground for a piece of their cheesecake! I miss those food items so I don't know how long I will be able to continue this diet (months?, maybe not for me). I think on the days off it seems to work if I have only a taste of those forbidden foods!
daahling - I know you must feel frustrated about not seeing any results so far. What I found the first time I did this diet was that I lost 4#'s in 3 days and then I went up and down a # for the next week. I lost another 4#'s near the end of the 11 day cycle. I know you're not supposed to, but I usually weigh myself each day. Maybe we should only weigh at the end of the 11 days so we don't feel as frustrated if it's not going as well as we would like. I bet your scale will probably show a weight loss in the next couple of days. Maybe your body type is taking a little longer to show you a result on the scale. Don't give up! You can do it!
glovest - I have never switched a full day for another full day. I have substituted a protein for a protein with no ill effects. I think each time you generate the diet, it is different. On one set of menus that I generated, the fruit and veggie day was day 4. On another set of menus it was day 7 so I think based on your food choices it generates the menus in a certain sequence. We are given 4 meals a day to eat in any order we want. I eat the meals in an order that works for me. For instance #1 Chicken, #2 Cottage Cheese, #3 Mixed vegetables and #4 Flavored Oatmeal. I eat the oatmeal for breakfast, then either the cottage cheese or the mixed vegetables for meal 2, and then for meal 3 I eat either the cottage cheese or the mixed vegetables (whichever one I didn't eat) and for the 4th meal (which I eat as my evening meal) I eat the chicken. The handbook does not say you need to eat the meals in the order that they are generated for each day. Sometimes you can't if you are away from home. I am sure my co-workers would think that I have really lost it if I showed up with my blender to make an orange and pineapple smoothie or a banana shake.
jewellover - Congrats on your weight loss!!!!
To end on a positive note, my husband told me today that I look skinner! Hang in there everyone, we can do it!!!! :)

Hey! Day 4 and woke up with renewed enthusiasm. Even though I still haven't lost an ounce.
Question: Seeing as I am sick of eating the same tuna salad every day, can I jazz it up by throwing in some garbanzo beans (chick peas)? I mean they are protein after all...
What do you all think?

Hi! I'm new to the boards and am on day 8 of the diet. I am liking it...to a point. I have lost 3.4# so far, which doesn't seem like much compared to everyone else. I never seem to be able to keep up with "statistics" on diets. I have been very good about my water and food. A couple of times I've had a little nibble of something forbidden, but very little. I am also having trouble finding time to walk! I do my best but it is dark when I leave for work and dark when I come home. I have an elliptical however, we also have 3 dogs in the house...2 of them puppies. I can't imagine what life will be like once I have kids because the dogs are enough work! Any suggestions on how to get my exercise in? I live in the country and walking in the dark scares the #%@&! out of me! Also, it's usually about 8p.m. when I get home and I leave for work around 5:30a.m. Also, I most definatley drink all of my water each day, but have trouble on weekends. If we drink Crystal Light...does that count as water intake? It says we can drink things less than 10 calories but it only says pop doesn't count as water for the day. I'm just wondering because water gets boring!
Daahling - I would say no The other day for my omelette, I had a few potatoes (that I baked like french fries) because I was so starving. I convinced myself it was ok because it does say any vegtables you can think of in the handbook...however, I was up .4# the next day... I know it isn't a lot, but that is the only "mishap" I had that day, so I blame it on that.

glovest - If you go back and look at the rules of the diet...you have to eat all 4 meals, but can eat them in any order you wish. You're not supposed to switch meals from one day to another because they are in a particular order...remember how they talked about tricking your metabolism?
daahling - hang in there! I'm certainly not an expert...but try not to look at the scale until the 12th day. I avoided the scale the first 2 11-day periods and was pleasantly surprised at the end. This last time, though, I got on the scale every couple of days, didn't see much improvement and got very discouraged.
NewlyWed - I may be wrong but I think I read that you need to drink all of the water recommended. Crystal Lite and diet soda don't count as part of the water. I've seen this before with other diets. There is something about the chemicals in these different drinks and depletes the water in your system. One thing that helps me is to always carry water with me. If I don't have it nearby, I forget to drink it. I have a bottle in my car, one on my desk at work. I get a case of 20oz. bottled water and have them stashed all over. It also helps to drink a bunch of it before you have a meal.

Hi!
I just wanted to add in my .02. My mother and I found that on the day you are suppose to have fruits & veggies I gained 2#s (that day is sooo hard) so I stopped doing it. I just eat the regular foods but, I have only 3 meals that day it has worked so far.
As far as the water I drink ALOT about a gallon. I found that if you put a little sugar free Koolaid (I use tropical punch flavor)and a whole lot of water it goes down a whole lot easier. Hope that helps.
Lucebianca- Thank you for the great comments about being a mom. I wouldn't trade it in for the world. It's just sometimes I feel like that is the only thing that I am with school, housework, kid's activities, etc. The payoff is I have the 3 greatest girls!!!!:D

Justamom : Hi there! I'm a single mum myself and believe me I do understand how hectic the daily grind can be!! I only have 1 daughter and she's great... 7 going on 14.. yep.. the "I'm dying to be a teenager" stage!! I find it such a hassle to juggle my job, my part-time freelance research work, housework, cooking, seeing to her home work, and co-ordinating babysitting etc!! This diet is soooo what I don't need to be fretting about at the moment either... but I am horrified when I see the extra 12 lbs or so I've managed to accumulate over the years, but especially this summer... too much good living here in Malta lol!! We go out more, bbqs, more drinking, and so it goes! Added to that I spent 5 idyllic days in Rome last month, and believe me, it was Carbfest 2005!!!!
This evening I prepared her favourite chicken nuggets and oven-fries for dinner and it was torture for me!! Ok ok so i nibbled a couple... so sue me!! hehehe .. I was otherwise positively angelic today having walked 45 mins this morning, drank my 2 litres, had a fruit salad for breakfast, melon and only a few tsps of the cottage cheese for lunch, and a grilled chicken breast at 7.30pm... so I will skip my tuna salad today to make up for the nibbling of the fries and 1 chicken nugget!! I hope that will balance things out.
I love this site... I find it very consoling to know others are going through the same stuff I am. My boyfriend says he misses our dinners together, but there's not a chance in #%@&! he's going to touch the fodder i'm eating. Sigh I miss his dinners too, cos he's one great cook!! Oh well... day 5 tomorrow beckons and my only consolation is that there's no tuna salad on the menu YAY!! Ok ok there's still the chicken (i can't believe i've eaten chicken every day this week!!) but looking forward to the mixed nuts.
Good luck everyone... I hope I start getting the results you all seem to be getting. Cos otherwise i'll have to change diets and probably go back to my previous method of Food Combining.. which is also a pain in the ****.

Thanks!
I knew I was dreaming about the Crystal Light thing. I know on other diets it doesn't count as water either. I believe I learned at a WW meeting that it's something with the sweetner in it that holds in the water and actually makes you more thirsty???
Justamom- About the Koolaid thing, I guess that is what I was doing with the Crystal Light. I was just sprinking a little into each jug of water...not near the required amount. Just something for a little bit of flavor I guess! I get kind of sick to my stomach if I drink water early in the morning, so that was helping that issue a little bit.
Thanks for everyone's help! Anybody have any weight loss results to share??? Has anyone done this and been able to keep it off? It seems like everyone has just kind of started. I'm hoping this will be my saving grace and help me loose this last 30 pounds!

It's me again.:P
I just wanted to share this GREAT bit of inspiration with everyone. I just went shopping for this weekend away w/the girls (no kids!!!). I went from a size 22/24 to a size 16 in pants and 14/16 in tops. I had to try on 20 pairs of jeans because I kept on tring 18s and they didn't look right...stupid me, they were too big! One of the 16s I brought home and tried on for my husband, he said they were too big. Bless his heart!!! This is a huge thing for me I haven't worn a size 16 since before my oldest was born 10yrs ago. So keep plugging at it the results will show sooner or later!

Next time you all post I'd be curious to hear how you found this forum.
I'd figured via my website, but I see that you can find this forum searching Google for Fat Loss 4 Idiots. Surprised me!
That explains why some of the forum members don't even know about the website... the forums are just a part of it. So I put some pretty easy-to-notice red links at the top of the page under the logo.
Just curious,
Peter

Peter - I found this sight by searching through Google, and I am so glad that I found it. Reading everyone's stories really gives me inspiration!
All the protein sometimes makes me kinda of sick to my stomach, so sometimes I have a little something extra at the end of the day. Nothing overboard, just maybe a bowl of Special K cereal with low fat milk, and I have still been losing weight. I have been off and on the diet for about a week and a half and have still managed to lose 5lbs. Which I think is good especially beings I sometimes add something extra. Even went off the diet for a couple of days during that time.
I have a minor kidney problem, and I read that too much protein can be hard on your kidneys. They only found that in people who already had kidney problems, though. So for those of you who don't have any problems, I wouldn't worry. I just make sure to watch my protein intake.
Sounds like most of you are doing great. Keep the good work!

| :)Hi, im just checking in, finished my 1st 11 day diet and have lost 11 pounds, i enjoyed the diet but there were hard days, i congratulate anyone that has done this diet to the end because it's quite an extreme change to your old eating habits, near the end i had to substitute some of the foods with other things on the menu and it still worked out, love drinking the water and taking walks to help lose the weight, now i have 3 more 11 day diets to go, then im going to tone up with weights that i have, well thats the plan anyway...now that im on my 3 day cheat, i really dont feel like eating junk food, ive had a little and thats all i could really handle, im kinda glad though that im not stuffing myself with chocolate like the old days, looking forward to starting it again as it wont take as much wilpower like last week, anyone that gets through the first can do anything...KEEP IT UP! ITS POSSIBLE! KEEP GOING!

Peter - I searched weight loss for idiots on google and then I looked in Diet & Weight Loss Forums by caloriesperhour.com out of curiosity. I am so glad I did!:)
I love reading everyone's comments. It sounds like everyone is doing pretty good and I would like to congratulate us all! I also think the first time you do this diet is hard, especially if you are not used to a restrictive diet.
Here is my dilemma, this coming Monday is Canadian Thanksgiving. We are celebrating at the inlaws on Sunday. Sunday just happens to be fruit and veggie day for me. Any thoughts on how I should handle this one? I don't really care about not eating cake and pie, but it is nice to have mashed potatoes, gravy and turkey all at the same time! I don't really want to only eat turkey because then I will have to explain the diet thing to a generation in my family that just doesn't get it. I am considering skipping the whole dinner at the inlaws. Any suggestions?
I also don't really want to mess up the diet after working so hard. I am down 8#'s right now and I don't want to gain a bunch back on Turkey day!

| Hi wannabeless - You can't skip thanksgiving! I would recommend enjoying yourself, but watch your portion sizes, and maybe drink some extra water. Maybe you can offer to bring something to dinner, and then bring something like a veggie tray. That way you can try to fill up on some vegetables and then you won't be tempted to overeat the other things. It is up to you, but you should enjoy turkey day! :) Hope this helps some. Day 5 and I may have seen a slight drop because from 55kg I was hovering close to 54 this morning.. but am not very sure because my scales are somewhat erratic. I really should invest in electronic ones.
Today my lunch was mixed nuts... I thought I'd died and gone to heaven.. but am not sure whether I may have eaten too many. I bought a 75g packet and ate it all.. is that too much?? I didn't feel stuffed, because breakfast this morning was pretty miserable.. just a few grapes (as I'd run out of melon) and a really small portion of cottage cheese (don't know why I chose this option because I'm not that fond of it).. so was starving all morning at work.
What do you think people? 75g too much?

| Peter - I first searched the internet for diet plans. WL4I caught my attention. Then I went on the MSN search engine and looked for "testimonials on WL4I" and found the Calories Per Hour forum. I have never participated in one of these before. When I started there was no track record of anyone trying the diet...but a lot of curiosity.

| Kelsmit - I am a college student, but I am not on a school meal plan. I am low on cash, though, and I think this is one of the cheapest diets out there. To access the menu planner, it is only $27 for 90 days and then to buy food, it is fairly cheap. You don't have to buy a lot of exspensive foods. Meats include your choice of tuna, chicken, lean ground turkey, and a few sandwiches. Other than that, it is basically eggs, fruit, vegetables, cottage cheese, and mixed nuts. You eat 4 times a day and as much as you want. The reason for the planner is to tell which days to eat more protein and which days to eat more carbs. It does produce great results, so if you think you can afford it, it is worth it. Last edited on 8 October 2005 02:19 am by gonnaloseit

| Day 6 - Saturday - My fruit and veg day, and just had a nice fruit salad for breakfast. Meeting my mum for lunch, so hopefully will grab a salad somewhere... thing is, no dressing?? Restaurants here don't offer no-fat dressings.. guess will just try sprinkling over some balsamic vinegar. Tonight going out with boyfriend, my daughter and his son and daughter... taking them to watch a show then no doubt they will want to go for pizza!! Looking forward to that as much as I would root canal treatment! Naughty Me has been weighing myself every day on this diet.. I know I shouldn't but I can't help it!!! So far haven't lost a lb... back up to 55kg this morning, when yesterday it looked like was heading for 54... I can't understand it and it's very demoralising. My only explanation is that perhaps I'm building muscle with all the walking.. yesterday I walked a total of an hour and a half. Boyf thinks I shouldnt be on this diet because I haven't exactly been joy and sunshine, and not enjoying the food options.. we are both really into cooking you see, and he too misses our dinner sessions.. I don't know... gonna try hanging in there a bit more... I am happy for all you people out there shedding the pounds .. seriously I am.. I just wish it would work for me the same way.

| I'm going to start WL4I on Monday. I am wondering if anyone can please tell me if I can just eat the banana and drink the milk for the banana shake? Also, can you please tell me if corn is okay in the mixed veggies? Thanks so much for any help you can give.

| Hi jbjb71! I just drink the milk and eat the banana instead of blending it, and I still have lost weight. I would imagine it is the same thing. I don't think there are any restrictions on vegetables that I have seen. So, corn should be okay. I was wondering the same thing about potatoes. I searched through everything, and didn't find any restrictions on veggies, so if anyone has found some, please let me know.

:)well my 3 day cheat is over and im back on my 2nd round and im actually really glad, 3 days seemed abit long for me and i ate whatever i wanted when i wanted, and all that sugar/fat and calories from chocolate to marshmellows to cinnamon buns to pizza to fizzy definetly affected me with chronic headaches and i dont get headaches! so lesson learnt, next time im going to cut down to 2 day cheat and keep to 4 meals and drink the same amount of water as usual and maybe not just scoff chocolate etc...

| Well, I finished my first session. I will say I was pretty happy at the end of 11 days. I only lost 5.6 pounds, but I never loose what they say so I felt pretty good about it. However, I decided to only have on cheat day this time because I wanted to start my next session on a Monday. So, Sunday was my cheat day. I ate a lot of cookies and that's pretty much it. Those of you that said you didn't want that stuff on your cheat days must be pretty tough. I wanted anything and everything. And it shows this morning. I am right back to where I started. That's right...I have gained 5.6 pounds IN A DAY. I am NOT very happy with myself at all. I am not sure I'm understanding everything correctly. However, I'm starting again hoping this time on my days off I don't blow everything. This diet definately works if you work it...but by the end I'm ready for a little normlasy. Anybody else have to eat ham and pineapple like a million times a week??? I tried to generate a menu with out, but I don't like the other foods!

One wouldn't think that your body could process the cookies you ate and add 5.6 pounds of fat to your body in one day. So just as people have a sudden weight loss from water when they start a diet, this could explain the sudden weight loss from your cheat day. Plus what's in your stomach and bowels.
Also keep in mind that a diet is not just about temporary weight loss, but learning to eat well for the rest of your life. Otherwise when you have lost your weight and end your diet, you will put the weight right back on.

| Hello, well here I go. Today is my first day. I had a fruit salad for breakfast, and on my menu today is cottage cheese - ground turkey and the omelet and pasta. Well I didn't have the cottage chs or turkey yet, and an omelet with pasta sounds wierd. So i cooked 2 eggs scrambled and added them to the spaghetti. I know it is for protein, and actually, you can't even taste eggs. It's good!!! bye for now.

Hi Everyone,
Yesterday I had my Thanksgiving dinner. On my diet it was fruit and veggie day. I ate fruit for breakfast and veggies for lunch. For supper I had peas and carrots (with butter), potatoes, gravy and turkey (2 helpings), and some salad. I felt good but I did not feel stuffed. I did not have the apple pie or the pumpkin pie which was no big deal because neither are my favorite, but usually I would have had the apple pie. I had 1 glass of white wine. After dinner, my husband and I went for a walk for maybe 1/2 an hour. I drank lots of water during the day, but I'm not sure if I made the 10 glasses like usual. So this morning, I got up and felt a little nervous about weighing myself but I had to know if I had blown it. I was very pleased to see that I am the same weight as yesterday and the last few days. Whew!!! So I am very pleased that I survived the dinner at my mother-in-laws place.
Newlywed - The first time I did this diet I lost 8 lbs. On my cheat days I gained 4 lbs. back. This is my second time on the diet and I have lost those 4 lbs. again, but that is all I have lost. On my first cheat day the only thing I did different was that for one of the 4 meals, I ate sugary cereal. That day I didn't gain anything. I drank all the water, exercised and ate 4 meals. I think I had nuts as one of the meals as well. On the next day, I was a little looser with the plan. After all, these were cheat days and I am supposed to be able to eat whatever I want. My cravings for chips and bread and crackers and sweet things have never gone away but I do find it easier to resist them by using this diet. Anyway, on the second cheat day I gained a lb. and on the third day I gained 3 lbs. Must have been the chicken burger, taco chips and the Chinese food. I was very discouraged when I began the diet for the second time. For someone like me and maybe you as well, I think we need to stick fairly close to the diet on the cheat days. Still eat 4 meals, drink the water, exercise (sigh) but have a treat or two in moderation. While discouraging, I think the weight gain is probably water retention from all the salt, known or hidden in the foods that we ate on our cheat days. Hang in there!:)
Is anyone else gaining weight on their 3 days off? Just wondering.
daahling - when I eat nuts, I eat salted mixed deluxe nuts and I eat as many as needed to fill me up. I am not sure about grams but I figure I probably eat 4-5 ozs.? I have not had any ill effects from this so far.
For everyone - I am finding this diet pretty boring at times. Some days I really have to work really hard at it. I have about 30 more lbs. to lose and I'm not sure I will be able to continue on this diet long enough to lose that amount of weight. Some days I feel very discouraged when I think that I cannot eat alot of the things I really love. I know we have cheat days and I am supposed to be able to eat these things then, but if I lose 8 lbs. and then gain 4 lbs on the cheat days each time, it is discouraging for me. I am on my second time now and Friday will be my first cheat day and I'm not even looking forward to it. At this point I have lost the 4 lbs. I gained but if I regain it or some of it, on my cheat days, then I am setting up a yo-yo pattern and kind of defeating the whole purpose. I am going to hang in there until the end of the 11 days and see how it goes. I am feeling discouraged as I had hoped to be doing a little better than this.
Sunny - Congratulations on your imagination! I never would have thought to add scrambled eggs to pasta and the fact that it tasted alright, is great. I think you will do well on this diet. Keep up the good work!

thank you all who have written your experiences with this diet! I did some research last week and decided to download the diet, so this is Day one. Now i have found this site im glad i started! I hit 200lb mark and enough is enough, i need to lose at least 30lbs to look great, i am big boned (dont ya love that expression!) so extra weight doesnt mean extra fat! I'm hoping by joining this forum it will keep me motivated and change my eating habits too for a consistent weight loss. Ive enjoyed my food so far today, but have been to the bathroom countless times, must be good though!
question about bread: it says eat oat or bran bread, does that mean Wheat is out?
alcohol: if i drank 0 carb drinks ie vodka and diet sprite, would that be ok or not? anyone tested that theory? its party season coming up and i just wandered about that.
look forward to reading more and the weigthloss you all have had is great and keeps people like me motivated!

Welcome bluefish - I am a fellow 'big-boned' person and know right where you're coming from. I am also very solid. I started writing in this forum around August (you can go back and read). On any diet if most people lose 10 pounds, I'll lose 3.... This diet is different. I have taken off 20 pounds (and holding). I still have a good amount to lose. It takes some time to get used to it...but it works if you stick to it. None of us are sure yet if this works in the long run. I like that fact that you take it off quickly....it gives me incentive. And a lot of it is logical. The water intake, the exercise and staying away from certain foods. This one, though, jumps back and forth between proteins and carbs which kicks in the metabolism (at least it did for me.) It's also saved me money! I work in an office setting where ordering out for lunch is a daily occurance. Everything is fast food and junk, need I say more? I easily spent well over $27 a week on just lunches, much less other meals. You're allowed one alcoholic drink daily (I think) and they suggest wine. I wouldn't go too crazy.
So, give it a shot. I don't think you'll be sorry. Good Luck!

tx lucebianca, i read your posts earlier and realted to your size & frame! According to the BMI brigade i should be about 150, but when i was 170 i looked really good, best id ever looked and that was less than 4 years ago, a marriage and happiness piled on the pounds! My husband is over weight too so hes now back on Atkins which works for him, but not for me, but its good i dont have to cook us big meals now. I just hope i can last at this one, which is why i like the idea of the 3 day cheat break!
well 200lbs today, let see where i'll be in 2 months....very excited!

Hello, well I made it through day 1. I ate the fruit salad for breakfast, eggs and spaghetti about 10:30. I had to run a bunch of errands and hold an appt, so I was late getting home - I was STARVING, so I ate the cottage cheese around 3. Then I didn't feel stuffed, but was not interested in thinking about turkey for dinner, but at about 7, I was hungry for it!!! I did have a glass of wine, and don't have a scale, but here we go on day 2.
It just feels better to be concious of what I'm putting in my mouth, so hopefully it will work. thanks!!

hi sunny
looks like we started the same time, was it only yesterday?!
how much do you want to lose?
like you im in no way full, but i dont need to eat any more as the servings are realistic. The only reason im fat is because i ate too much, simple!
you need to buy some scales or take some photos, me and my husband took some pics of ourselves in our underwear....oh dear , now when i get tempted i have something to stop me, big time!

Does anyone know why it has to be ground turkey? Can you have a turkey breast or some other form of lean turkey? I'm not a huge fan of hamburgers, so the texture of it isn't very appealing to me. I'm just trying to come up with other ways to eat it. I don't mind having it in the spaghetti, it just when it has to be plain or "alone" I should say. Any advice would be great!
p.s. I'm back on track hopefully! I'm super hungry today and no food sounds good, but I'm trying to work with it! Thanks for all of your advice and support.

Hello, well day 2 went great until last night, was out and had a few peanut M & Ms, oops!
I did realize something about this diet, though, when I eat I feel really full and cannot imagine wanting to eat again in a few hours, but all of a sudden after about 2.5 to 3 hours, I am ready to eat again. (instead of nibbling all day). I kind of like it!
With regards to the ground turkey, the first day it was plain, so I fried it with herbs, parsley, red pepper flakes, season salt, garlic powder and pepper. I liked it.
Yesterday it called for ground turkey with mixed veges, so I fried the meat same as above, stir-fried a bag of frozen "sugar snap peas" with mixed veges - added teriyaki sauce and mixed the two together, it was really good.
I'm off to make my "delicious egg omelet" - that is so funny to me! Good luck

Sunny - I have also noticed that when I eat, or right after I eat I am so full I can't imagine eating again! Sometimes I wonder if I ate too much. Then, right around that 2-3 hour range...I'M STARVING! What ever it's doing, it's doing it well! I just hope I don't flup up on my off days this time. I decided that I will have on free meal of whatever I want and other than that, I'll eat sensibly (like I learned from weight watchers) so hopefully I don't gain everything back on my day off! I guess we'll see. Even though they say you can eat whatever you want...I can't!
Bluefish - Congratulations on your weight loss so far! That is so wonderful! I wish I lost a minimum of a pound a day. I hate the days that are less than a pound. Keep up the good work!
