Lar,
Sorry for your losses. It must be hard with everything falling on the same day. Maybe you can look forward to another upcoming holiday?

Golf.. .sounds like my husband.....but not today...nope ...I could not believe it, my kids scattered being the teens that they are. I sit down to watch a chick flick or something on TV and what is on....Golf , basketball , and guy movies ....I guess I will have to wait for father's day and then the chick flicks will be on

Sorry for the hard memories, Lar. I hope you got through the day alright!
Hello to everyone else...and
My weekend and choice days have been a little nuts. :) I spent the night at my sister's on Friday night so I could get up EARLY for our garage sale, which was a bust. Got about five hours of sleep and barely sold anything. Oh well. My subdivision is going to have a sale over the summer, when anyone in the neighborhood can put things out in their driveway to sell, and that's usually a big $$$$ maker. So here's hoping I can unload somemore of my stuff. Anyway, we ended up getting doughnuts the next morning so in addition to my Slimfast shake I had 2 chocolate long-johns! Man oh man were they good.
No lunch because I was so stuffed (and kinda sick), but my family came over Sat. night for dinner (Mother's Day and my stepfather's birthday). We smoked a brisket and had a cheese & potato casserole so bad for you your arteries harden just discussing it. (key point - it has 2 cups of mayo in it). I had a small serving of that, some brisket, and a piece of cake later in the evening. No ice cream. :) But I did have some Snickers salad, which is apples cut up, vanilla pudding, Cool Whip, and cut up Snickers bars all mixed together.
Can we say I enjoyed my Saturday? *urp*
Today is Mother's Day and my husband offered to get me fast-food breakfast, but I told him no, I have a better idea! Let's go to the mall and get Chick-Fil-A for lunch! (my FAV) We are going to buy a new BBQ pit, so it was off to Sears...and ten minutes from our destination I realized...it's Sunday. Chick-Fil-A is closed on Sundays. DAMMIT!
So after cruising the mall for a bit, finding a BBQ pit, and letting the kids ride on the carousel a couple times, we left and went to Chili's instead. I got chicken tacos. Ate about three bites of the rice (turns out I didn't LIKE the rice so that was actually great diet-wise!) and 1 1/2 tacos. I was so full! I picked out the chicken from the remaining tacos and ate some of my daughter's spiced apples.
Dinner tonight was pork steaks (bbq'd), one piece of garlic bread, and some cole slaw. Maybe it was two pieces of garlic bread? I really don't remember. My sister-in-law made a Jello poke-cake and I had a piece of that.
So, all in all...could have been a LOT worse, could have been a LOT better. But hey, it's cheat days!! And I'm totally enjoying them!
I have been *really* bad with my water this weekend, so I came home tonight and downed a couple glasses of Crystal Light. Tomorrow I'll pick up on the water again.
STILL can't find my measuring tape. Guess I'll head to Walgreens tomorrow and *finally* measure. I *think* I've lost a lot of inches, but I have no idea! It would make my lack of weight-loss last cycle a lot more bearable if I knew I'd lost inches instead. *sigh*
Can this post get longer?!
Probably.
But I'll go to bed instead.
Good night all! Hope you had a wonderful weekend!

Morning,
Wow reading your food carrie its so different from here, its like reading food I have never heard of...certainly yummy though. Glad you enjoyed your cheat days.
You say about your garage sales, you should come over here, we have things called car boots, you load up your car with as much stuff as you can cram in, and go to usually a field or hard standing area, open your boot, put stuff on tables and sell. It costs about $14 to stand and folk come in their 100's sometimes thousands to see what they can buy. Last year I was going to about 7 a week, as they hold them in the week as well as at weekends. I got a mirror on Sat for $6, have done it up and listed it on ebay starting at $70, so fingers crossed that sells, will let you know.
Lar (((((hugs))))) anniversarys of losing a loved one, really sucks, I have my brothers looming up soon, and in fact he has 2, the day he died 3rd June and the day we found out 1st july (yes he had been dead for a month before the Korean authorities informed us , I knew something was dreadfully wrong as I was emailing like crazy and not getting anything back from him. He was an English Teacher in Soeul) , I don't know which date is worse as they both bring very painful memories. However on the 1st this year I will be a little closer to him as I will be in the sky flying to go on holiday.
Right back to diet time. Sat and Sun I spent the whole weekend gardening, and I mean heavy gardening, the weather was really hot for this time of year for the UK so ws sweating big time. Yesterday I really didn't feel hungry and all I ended up eating was a large hot chicken salad and solero , hubby went mad saying you have to eat more than that. but I can't force stuff down if I don't feel hungry. The headaches and the heat didn't help either, instant put off.
Rainbow good luck on the new cycle, your doing fab!!!
Everybody hope you are all OK, heres a thought for you .. if you were to have double 1/4 pounder with cheese large fries and a triple choc thick shake and sat on the computer (this is worked out on my height weight and age) it would take 75 hours to burn it off!!! now I know where some of my weight has come on ( although I rarely ever have a take away/ fast food), because I spend far too long with my butt sat in my computer chair!!!

Well, it's been quite a week end for many of us. Sounds like it's been a tough week end for many of us also, food wise as well as emotionally.
Rainbow, I am on the same cycle as you so we do fruit day together tomorrow! Sorry you didn't get to watch chick flicks...next time if you think of it order a couple ahead from net flix or whoever you use. I watched " Painted Veil", it was pretty good. Since it was mothers day I made my husband watch it too (hahaha). He's a good sport and it was pretty good.
Lar, sorry for your losses, it must be hard to have so many thoughts of losses at once. It was my first mothers day without my Mom so that aspect was hard but honestly I have watched her dying for 5 years so for me in some ways it was a relief knowing the pain was over for her.
CarrieB, my week end was like yours it could have been better, but it could have been worse. The sugar got to me.
DianeB, I can't imagine the anger you must feel not knowing about your brother for a month, my heart goes out to you and hope you can heal, but it I am sure it will take time.
I got through the cheat week end, not great but did okay. I actually did quite a bit of gardening ...don't get excited Losing....it was just containers. No commitment but actually digging holes in the ground but I did fill a lot of containers. Actually I did plant my annual peony....I plant one every year and every year I did up the one from the previous year because it's dead. I have no idea what I am doing wrong. I change the spot, I've tried every side of the house, I water it but they always die. It's the one plant I really love and want to grow but I definitely have a black thumb. Oh well, off to start a new cycle.
Hi SS, Wantobe, lose40, Anyar, deedee,AGL, PInk, AMjacie, and anyone I may have missed, there are so many of us now, it's great.

Larry, sorry that the day was hard for you; my husband lost his mother 8 years ago, and I know how hard it is for him...
Rainbow, no new cycle for me. I will be starting one next week. Hope you have a great fresh start!!!!!! And sorry about the chick flick disappointment. It's so rare that I'm alone with the remote, too. I do know, sorry to say, that father's day weekend features a HUGE golf tournament (the masters?). My husband's already talking about it, so that may not be the best chick flick time...If you want a good chick flick, go to see "Baby Mama" in the theaters (hilarious!).
Today is my day 8, also know as VEGGIE day! I am looking forward to it, and I deserve it, as I had not one but two restaurant meals this weekend . I did follow the plan but took some liberties, especially yesterday. We had 16 of us meet in a restaurant for mother's day (1/2 of us were kids--I'm sure they were glad to see us leave!) Anyway, it's a cambodian restaurant, and the rouleaux (spring rolls) are simply heavenly and quite small; I guess you see where I'm going with this. Other than that...
All of you starting new cycles (Diane, CarrieB, Hiker and??) GOOD LUCK !!!
Have a great day, everyone!

Peonies don't like me either so your not on your own!!! I planted one last year and it died and very tempted to try again. I know they like the sun and a well drained soil.
I planted some basil 4 days ago and the slugs have happy eaten the lot!!! so later I am off to get some slug pellets and try again grrrrr.
Hiker I lost my brother coming up to 4 years ago, I am slowly getting there. I will never truely accept his death though or the circumstances surrounding, as it was either suicide or murder. His ashes are buried in my garden next to a beautiful plam tree and we brought a fairy fountain. As time goes on I learn I have to live with this, and David would not have wanted me to grieve for so long, but I couldn't help it. So when I say I want my life back including my figure this is what I mean, this is another step to achieving this. I will get there I am now 100% determined.
Losingwt I love vege day, enjoy!!! I do roast veg with fresh rosemary and garlic its lovely!!!

Hi Diane, I just wanted to say that I'm so sorry about your brother. It sounds indescribably painful, and of course you can't control your grieving, the length of it or anything else about it...it sounds like you have paid a lovely tribute to him. I know that time will heal eventually...hang in there...
On another note, thanks for the reminder about roasting veg; you mentioned that last time, and I knew I'd want to do it for my dinner. Now I won't forget.
Diane and Hiker, you CAN grow peonies! I can't imagine why yours dies, Hiker? Peonies are very picky about the depth they're planted in terms of blooming/flowering. Their crown (I think that's what it's called) wants to be at just about an inch and a half above soil level (but best look it up), but usually their protest is not flowering...hmmm, quite a mystery...I hope this is the year! I love peonies and have just planted 6 in a new bed!!!
It is coooooold here today! Rainbow, you'd be in a parka!!!

It really is cold here today, I even had to put on jeans instead of shorts! It's 50 which isn't too bad but with this wind it seem more like 40. Guess it's a perfect day for a pot of veggie soup.

Good morning everyone! Will have to give a short shout out...so much to do..and so little time to do it...kind of morning!!! Sorry for everyone's sadness...unfortunately my relationship with my mom was not a good one...and my daughter and hubby are in the Caymen Islands, so mother's day was just another day to me.
Totally agree about the planting of peonies as someone mentioned. They are very picky about how they are planted. AND they don't always bloom when you want them to. I don't think mine bloomed for a couple of years. But the bush was there...alive and healthy!
Gotta go to the dentist today and do some errands...believe me when I say, I am not jumping and up down about going, but will be glad to get it over with!!!
Good luck to all those starting new cycles today. I am going to have a mini-cycle this week as Thurs. we are leaving town and I will be at the mercy of someone else doing the food preparation. If I say I am only going to eat chicken and peanuts, they will look at me as if I have two heads !!! So this is going to be a difficult 5 days! Am going to try to stay as close to low carb(better than nothing I guess)as I can. Yet I am so scared I will gain back everything I have lost. Please keep me in your thoughts..I will need all of you!!

Good Morning Everyone,
I'm so sorry to hear of all the loss. I did hear Opera say something really beautiful one time. It went something like this. Your loved one would love you to celebrate the 17, 15 or 50 years you were with them rather then focus on the one day you lost them. I don't know if this helps but I thought it was beautiful. I'm sorry Diane for your loss. You can get you life back. I went through a real rough time these past 4 years and I'm am too ready to get my old self back again (in more ways then one) and I know we can do this.
I ended my semi cycle on Friday and I'm starting a full cycle today. I had to run the DG several times to find some of the combinations I can live with. So here I go. I'm ready to do this full cycle.
Pink - You'll be okay and a semi-cycle is better than none.

p.s. The Mothers Tea, daughters party and Luau came out great!!

Okay, anyone out there who eats Little Debby muffins....I was cleaning out my mothers closet and she had some Little Debbie blueberry muffins that had to be at least 2 years old , she hadn't driven for a few years so the only food she got were things I bought but before that she used to go out for things I wouldn't approve of (although I never stopped her from eating anything) and hide them in her closet--yeah I know weird but she did. Anyway...my point is... I know these were VERY old and they were still SOFT . Now how scary is that.
I don't know how that is possible but I swear it's true so you might want to think about what must be in them before you eat one. I was never a big fan but I am completely over them now.

Diane...so sorry, I cant imagine what that must be like.Your fountain sounds wonderful
Pink...I agree doing low carb is better ...maybe you can still hide a few nuts somewhere and say your full
Hiker...My grandma use to hide banana's everywhere, we would find them rotted under the pillow, in the closet. Must be genetic...we all love banana's.
C-me...glad the party went well
losing...my daughter wants to see that movie, we may have to check it out. We do not go often, it is so expensive
Where is everyone else???????? Hope you all are well
Yep...62 here today and I am in sweats, cant wait to get to FLA in July
Hang in there everyone, have a great day

Well, I was in the middle of my 5th cycle and didn't have the best of weekends. Actually, it was a great weekend, but I cheated several times. The first four cycles, I only remember cheating one time, and that was just extra whip topping on my fruit salad.
So, on Saturday, the cheat was just a few roasted potatoes, in olive oil. Sunday, I forgot to take my diet notebook with me to work, and remembered that I had oatmeal for the first meal, so I ate a bowl of that, and had a sausage patty, because my mom was making an awesome breakfast for the kids. (We own a restaurant) She made eggs, sausage, biscuits, and pancakes. I didn't eat the biscuits or pancakes, other than a bite of my 5 year olds left overs. So, so far I wasn't doing too bad, but couldn't figure out what to eat for my second meal (still at work), so I had some deli meat and cheese roll ups. Still not too bad. When I got home, I finally got my diet notebook, but decided to go to dinner with my kids. My eldest is 18 and was home for the night from college. We went to have japanese, and by then I decided I am eating the fried rice and yummy veggies and chicken, and I did. And later had two sugar cookies, so I decided this morning to count those two days as cheat days and start the diet over tomorrow. This would have been day 8 for me on this cycle. I have not weighed since the day after my fourth cycle, and won't weigh yet, because I don't want to get discouraged for this next cycle. I am surely holding extra fluids right now because it's that T.O.M. so I just know what ever I weigh right now wouldn't be accurate. I plan on eating sensible today and beginning a new cycle tomorrow. That will line up perfectly, because we go to the beach in 12 days! I lost 35 pounds in the first 4 cycles, and have no idea if I have lost anything since. I am just hoping that when I finally weigh on the 23rd, that I will be close to a 45 pound loss. Maybe it will just be 40 pounds, and I know that goal can be accomplished!
I have done so well with this diet, and knew that there would be a time when I would slip up, so I am taking it well, but am not weighing for now.
I couldn't have asked for a better mothers day, except I had to work until 6pm...but the whole weekend was great. I had a wonderful time with my three children. My eldest surprised me by coming home unexpectedly for the night. My 16 year old son cleaned and vacuumed as a surprise while I was at work Friday. That was a wonderful thing to come home to. And my 5 year old was a little angel this weekend! I am blessed!
I enjoyed reading everyones posts and would go longer with a bunch of comments but I have already gone on too long! Just know I am thinking of everyone here on the forum and am behind you all 100 percent to reach your goals! We can do it!
Have a great day!

Hi y'all! Happy Belated Mother's Day!!!
I have been sooooooooooooooooo busy this morning/day, I've been trying to read up on everyone's accomplishments, sadness, etc. By the time I finished reading I didn't know who was on first and what was on second, but suffice it to say, HI! And hope everyone is wonderful today. "Today's the first day of the rest of your life."
Beginning cycle 2 today- I was so proud of myself this weekend because I had stuck to the diet on my first cycle and am down 10 lbs (this includes the BC for 6 days prior), that I didn't want to chance it by doing anything too stupid. The one thing I was looking forward to - CHEERIOS W/BANANAS!!! WOW WAS IT GOOD! And then, of course, the big day - Mother's Day - Barbeque ribs from Shanes- LOCK THE DOOR GOOD. But, I behaved myself- that's all I had to eat last night - one-half rack! No sides, except their famous peach tea which has sugar in it but oh was it good. I have no idea what I weigh and I won't for a few days - refuse to get on the scales, although I don't feel bloated so... we'll see.
I do remember some of you talking about the weather in your areas- 75 degree heatwave in Tennessee - is that you Rainbow A jacket Lord! I would welcome 75!!! Today is 50 something (kinda' like me - 50 something ) and rainy- nasty! It should be in the 70's. Although I really would take 85 and sunny skies back home.
Just finished up some shrimp and turkey for lunch- looking forward to cottage cheese, peaches and a glass of milk for meal 3. Not too bad of a day foodwise!
Fruit day tomorrow- I think I'll "smoooooooooooothie" it all day tomorrow - except for the sandwich.
Hope all are well. I'll check back in a little later- little reading on the side when I can.

Amjacie, Sounds like you've made a sensible decision--and that you really did not do soooo badly this weekend. So you had a splurge; most of us try to be sensible with $, but then every once in a while...It's the same thing with dieting, and you want it to be livable so that it lasts!
Rainbow, I hear you about the movies; I couldn't remember the last time I had gone when I saw Baby Mama (I saw it on my weekend away with friends--and hey folks, I didn't order popcorn...but...I had eaten fried seafood for lunch an hour before ; well, it was choice days, but I don't think I'd do that again...) Anyway, it is expensive, but every once in a while...
AGL, thanks for the reminder about smoothies on fruit day; I've got to do that next time. It would be downright thrilling, actually!
C-Me, I really liked your Oprah quote...
Pink, hope the dentist was bearable; gotta take care of those choppers--but I hate going too!
Hiker, that is scary about those cakes; I'm pretty sure I once read something about Twinkies lasting for decades...again, scary!!!
Well, dinner of veg day is done. I have started this routine of every veg day being spaghetti day in our house. I make ratatouille that my husband and I both eat. Then he and the kids have spaghetti, sauce, and garlic bread too. It's killling me! Of course, I have to taste, I mean, test the spaghetti when it's cooking...
Hope you're all having a good night!

Hey, all!
Just wanted to drop in to say "Hello". I'm actually here every day monitoring the board as part of my moderator duties, but just haven't particpated much.
Been extremely busy trying to get a few websites developed, and have also fallen off the diet and exercise wagon for almost two weeks.
I really want to get started again, but just can't quite get myself in the right mental state right now. But, I think if I can bring myself to exercise again, I would feel much better.
But I do want to say "Congratulations" to everyone that has lost weight!!
Also, welcome to everyone new on the board!!
Most of all ....

Good morning everyone. Just dropping in to say hello and hope everyone is off to a good start. Fruit day for some of us.
Boy the board has been unusually quiet lately I miss all our friends. I know everyone is busy but for all of you who are missing....just wanted to say Hi and let you know we are thinking of you.
I am having a hard time right now just getting motivated, it seems I start each morning with good intentions and then something happens that throws me off track. Well maybe today will be the day I stick to it.
Have a good day everyone.

Good morning all and fruity friends
Rayna...so glad to see you stop in
Hiker, Rayna...I am with you...the motivation sometimes just is not there. I must have a goal of sorts, like going to the beach in July. ...... then I will need another motivator to maintain, hopefully just knowing my clothes fit again will be enough
My biggest goal is to not put put the weight back on again, that would be a first BTW..how is everyone doing in terms of reaching their goal weight??
To those out there that have gotten side tracked ...you can still check in and let us know you are doing okay.
This is the easiet diet to stay with I have ever been on.....and um.... welll...I have been on a few..... .
have an awesome day everyone

Good morning, all!
Rayna, glad you stopped in; also, great to hear you're developing web sites--sounds like the employment situation has improved! When you're ready to hop back on the idiot train, we'll be here
Hiker, I know what you mean about motivation slipping; this cold weather is not helping us remember that shorts and bathing suit season is around the corner either. BUt it is! Soon enough, we'll all be moaning about the humidity; well, at least I will...However, YOU CAN DO IT!
RAinbow, my last weigh in was at the end of my last cycle, and I was 6 pounds from my goal and down a total of 28. I have lost at least 3 clothing sizes. I am a happy dieter! I'm not saying all this to boast (although I am proud)--I just want to remind everyone to stick with it. I've been doing this forever--I'm a senior member after all! I have to weigh in Friday, and honestly, I'm nervous, because I've not been the greatest this time, and I ate like a on my last choice weekend. What if the scale has moved up--I think that's a real possibility at this point...yikes...well, no point worrying about it now, and, drumroll please,
I got through veggie day with no cheating!!!! My veggie day cheating usually amounts to a couple of desperate handfuls of nuts around 9 p.m., but I survived without them this time!
About veggie day, I found this packaged cheese product that's perfect for us. IT's cheese sticks with live active cultures (kraft product). It's lowfat, and each stick is 1 oz. So on the run, it's a good accompaniment to those celery sticks!
Alright, time to get to work! Have a great day, everyone!
P.S. I'm getting a "weight loss reward" haircut today

[size=Hi Everyone,
It sounds like everyone survived Mother’s Day. We took my Mother out to a restaurant with a beautiful view of the Hudson River and later took her sailing. I expected to cheat even though it wasn’t a cheat day. I did go overboard on the wine but the food part wasn’t too bad. Fortunately I had a mixed carb / protein meal on that day so I ordered Filet Mignon and veggies but no starch. I figured steak is good since they don’t smother it with sauces. I also had the salad with the house dressing. Unfortunately (or fortunately for my diet), my Filet was way overcooked, almost well done, what a sin! While it was an incredible waste of money I didn’t eat very much of it so I guess that’s the bright side. I managed to stick pretty close to the diet the rest of the day as well so all in all it was a pretty good day. Now I just have to survive an upcoming Memorial Day party!
Does anyone know if it’s OK to eat water chestnuts? Too much like potatoes? Today is veggie day for me and I have Chinese steamed vegetable leftovers I would like to have.][size=
Amjacie, you lost 35 pounds in 4 cycles! Wow! That's terrific! After cycle 1 I'm down 7, back up 4 or cheat days. ]

Hiker, I know what you mean about motivation slipping; this cold weather is not helping us remember that shorts and bathing suit season is around the corner either. BUt it is! Soon enough, we'll all be moaning about the humidity; well, at least I will...However, YOU CAN DO IT!
Losing, if you meant by "you can do it" you meant I can whine about the humidity when it gets here....You are absolutely right--in fact I am somewhat of a champion whiner about both the heat and humidity! Of course that is not a problem around here this week. All I want is 70 degrees every day with low humidity, oh yeah and plenty of sunshine --is that asking for too much?
I have to second your recommendation about the cheese sticks, they really are a life saver some days. Sometimes when I really can't make it until the next meal one of those will work....don't get me wrong I am not full on a 1oz cheese stick but it's enough to get me through.
Hey, no cheating--getting a haircut just before weigh in

Well, everyone, take care and have a great day! Got a busy day ahead, so gotta get outta here...Hi to Rainbow, losing, Hiker, wanna(I think you did OK on the food), C-Me, and anyone else who sneaks in here that I forgot! Take care...stay strong!!! Drink your !!

To all of you complaining about heat and humidity, you can't say nothin' until you've lived in the Midwest! I think Rainbow and quincy and I have you beat. There is nothing in the world worse than the rain-forest like humidity of the middle United States. In three weeks I'll be complaining about how freakin' hot it is here...at least I hope I am. So far we're just constantly flooding. The amount of rain we're getting is really bad.
I'm on day one of Cycle 3 (D1:C3). I bought a measuring tape last night! Then I realized this morning, I have no idea where is the "right" place to be measuring. Any help there? I'd like to measure today or tomorrow morning so I get an accurate picture of where I am before really getting into this cycle. I think I gained 2 pounds over cheat days, but I *know* my lack of water all weekend plays a big part in that.
So I have my cashews and my Diet Coke for breakfast. Diet Coke is my coffee. I have my Crystal Light To Go packets ready for after the Coke is gone, and I'm going to try to do as much water as I can today since I was terrible with it all weekend.
Amjacie - you have done AWESOME and I wish you wouldn't beat yourself up too much. I would give anything to be where you are right now!
Losing - congrats on the no cheat veggie day! I have fruit day tomorrow and I'm completely scared. I don't do real well on fruit day. Not until the GLORIOUS sandwich anyway!!
Hiker - Hey there!
Rayna - stay strong. You're a big inspiration to a lot of us!
Hello to everyone else...there are so many of us these days it's hard to name us all! I wish you all weight loss.

Good Morning All:
Thanks for all the good words about the bahamas. This weekend it was 91 degrees and the heat index was at 102 - 106. So you can imagine how hot it is over here.
I hope everyone had a great weekend, I had a great one, so happy to start a new cycle today. After that long weekend.
Rainbow thanks for the mothers day wishes, those pics. were beautiful.
Hope everyone else had a great mothers day.
Losing: I think whit monday is some sort of a christian holiday here. All I can say it is another day off work.
Have another hectic week ahead, will check in later.

| Kinda fell off the wagon last week so my cheat days started a few days early and lasted an extra day. But I'm trying to start again. Just had bacon and eggs for breakfast. This diet starts getting much harder when you've been doing it a couple months. I feel bloated and disgusting from everything I've been eating lately. Although Carriebeth I have been wanting a pork steak and haven't gotten around to having one. I can't believe the rest of the country doesn't eat them. Its my favorite barbecue food. Well I'm looking forward to eating some lean meats and nuts.

I know, quincy. I've found it hard to believe too, but they don't! I guess it's just a cut of meat saved just for us? But they're so yummy!
*hugs* We'll get you back on the wagon if that's what you want to do. How much more do you want to lose?

Good Morning Everyone,
Glad to see a lot of you all back on the forum. It's day 2 cycle 3 for me. Fruit day. I was just so happy to start a new cycle and have all the events behind me and not on my behind. hahaha I've lost 2 inches around my belly and 1 inch off of each leg. So I've lost 2 inches around my thighs. Ya hoo. My underwear even fit better. I have not weighed at all because TOM is just around the corner and I do retain water every month. My "big" clothes I'm swimming in so I know it's working. I walked 2 miles yesterday and plan to do my Denise Austin tape with my 5 year old today. So if anyone cheated this weekend, just get right back on the diet and lets lose some pounds and inches. I cheated too, but lets not let that hold us back. I don't call it cheating, I choose to call it a semi-cycle
All I can say is that losing is an inspiration to me and I want to lose three clothes sizes too.
Pink- I didn't know where to measure either I just picked a fluffy part and took the measurements. I know I've lost everywhere because I can feel it when I put my clothes on.
Let do this!!!

Just eaten 2 eggs and some peanuts yay what a nice change to start a different generator!!!
Will try and get on later, after I have been a good wifey and tidyed up the house a bit.

I have a question about making smoothies on fruit day. I found a great website for smoothie recipes, but some of them call for a little bit of fruit juice. I'm guessing that's not really allowed, but thought I'd check. Like this one sounds yummy:
- 1⁄2 cup of sliced strawberries
- 2 apples peeled, cut and with seeds removed
- 1⁄2 cup of blueberries
- 1⁄2 cup of peaches
- 3⁄4 cup of natural apple juice
- 3⁄4 cup of natural orange juice
I know that on veggie day people use V-8 for a base in soups and chili...isn't this kind of the same thing, natural orange juice is just juice FROM the fruit, so long as you don't get the kind with sugar or other stuff added to it.

Hey Carribeth,
Maybe squeeze your own orange juice and skip the apple juice. That's what I would do.

Carriebeth and C-Me-
I think that smoothie sounds delicious! Although mine was pretty good this morning. I did cheat a bit in the ingredients.
1-2 cups of strawberries
1/4 cup OJ (shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh)
1 small scoop (came in the can) protein powder
1-2 cups ice
And that's it. It hasn't hurt me yet - I don't think. It was just enough OJ to make it wet.

Losing, you have done so great....it is not bragging on this site to tell us of you loss, it's called "inspiration".
Quincy, I know what you mean about feeling bloated after going a little overboard, I am struggling to get back on too but each day I am doing better and I am sure you will make it. I think C-Me is right...rather than thinking of it as cheating or worse yet, falling off...we need to think of completing a "semi-cycle" ! I love it from now on I will shoot for a cycle but if not I will consider it as completing a semi-cycle and start a new one.
C-Me, I love the info on the underwear LOL.
DianeB--Congratulations, what a fantastic loss...and you were worried. Nice job
CarrieB--Maybe you could cut down the amount of juice and use a little more ice? What is the website, I love smoothies.

Carrie...I am from the midwest as well. I know what you mean by 'tropical heat and humidity'!!! When my daughter went to college in OK and she would tell people she was from MN, they were !!! For some reason they think MN people should be wearing parkas 12 months out of the year.. and living in igloos...LOL!! Many were amazed that it got to be so hot and humid here in the summer months!!
