Hi everyone! Newbie here, and I am stuck. Here's my story:

22 years old/female
140lbs 5'6"
Bust: 34"
Waist: 26"
Hips: 37"

My whole life I have battled my weight, and within the last 10 years I have gone down at least 60 pounds without even trying, it just happened.

I work fulltime at a physical job that has me speedwalking around, lifting, pushing, pulling for my entire shift and have done that everyday for the last 3 years. So I'm pretty used to that daily exercise. I decided 4 months back to kick it up a notch so I can lose that last bit of fat I have hanging around my hips. I bought an elliptical and started really watching my food. I began to record all of my intake calories as well.

It's been 4 months since my "change" and I have not lost ONE POUND. I am still 140lbs. My body is a lot stronger, and I can see it in the mirror so I have lost fat and gained muscle.. Which could account for the scale not moving. Which I'm okay with. But c'mon - GIVE ME ONE POUND! I figure 10 pounds and I'll be good. It's all in my hip area.

Is everything stalled because I'm already at a healthy weight so it's harder to lose the last few? I feel like I either have to kill myself with the cardio or starve myself to get this weight off. I've tried so many different things. For a long while I ate perfect calories with good wholesome foods. And nothing! So recently I've been introducing some worse food into my diet, see if anything even changes with that and nothing happened, still 140.. I work out at least 6 days a week, and that is both cardio and weight training PLUS my 40/wk job. Has my body adapted to that and I have to go even harder now? Am I doomed forever? What is possible left to try??

Thank you in advance for any advice!

Is it possible you're not taking in enough calories? You don't want to go below your unadjusted RMR since you're at a healthy weight now. Not eating enough can certainly stall weight loss.

Oh gee, I sure hope that's it!! It could be possible though. I work graveyards and only have some sort of granola bar for lunch, so I'm really only eating from 8am-noon. I suppose it's hard to fit my whole day's calories into those few hours. Also I never really thought of my activity level and how I may need more calories to compensate for that.. True? I'm so afraid of gaining weight.. Since my weight hasn't moved, I don't know which way the needle is going to go on the scale.

Edit: I just did some research. Before I was eating whatever I wanted and didn't have any 'extra' exercise, and didn't lose or gain weight. Then I switched to eating less calories and upping the exercise. Hm...Suppose you are right. Because technically if I didn't change my eating, I should have lost weight because I was burning more calories. The problem was that I did too much at once and it put me in too much of a deficit. Innnnteresting.

I just wanted to write and say, although i don't have an answer for you, I understand the frustration of the 4 months with no weight loss.

What helps me is knowing I have made a lifestyle change for the better and I am healthier than i have ever been.
i read an article once that said the average supermodel cannot do even one push up.
It sounds from your measurements that you look lovely already. I am proud of you for your 60 pound weight loss-that is amazing!
Remember its about being good to your body and being fit. The weight will follow after fitness. Just keep it up!!
The only suggestion i had was 6 mini meals during the day to keep your metabolism up. I think its possible you have a deficit as well. How many calories are you eating?
Good luck and don't give up!!

Thanks for the reply! I am quite happy with how far I've come. Strength wise, my whole body is so much stronger now. I can balance on the back of my neck with my arms at my sides and have my legs straight in the air. That's cool! I guess I'm just a tad frustrated because I'm so motivated to succeed right now and really get the best body I can get. I'm going to keep doing what I'm doing no doubt, couldn't stop now anyway.. makes me feel too good! I'm hoping to get started back up in rollerblading, that will be a nice change in exercise and maybe it will trigger something new. The spread of meals is hard for me since I work 11pm-7am and only have some sort of bar for lunch and do the majority of my eating after I get home, and then I sleep until I go to work again. I started tracking my calorie intake again, and today I've had 1450ish which is pretty average for me. I did a whole workup of my BMR and all of that yesterday and with a deficit, I'm still not sure if I'm eating enough or what.. Why does it have to be so complicated? I wonder if eating directly before sleep is the big problem? Hm..
