I'm 17 years old. I'm 5"3 and 140lbs. I've been exercising for 3 days straight so far. I plan to exercise and eat healthy forever, but I want to do a bit of dieting right now to get into shape as quick as possible. I want to lose 20lbs in a month.
If I use the treadmill at least 5 days a week. I exercise over 60 minutes with a speed of 3.2 - 3.7mph. I also do 100 crunches after my treadmill exercise along with squats.
Here's my typical meal plan:
Breakfast - fruits, milk, biscotti
Lunch - salad w/ a bit of dressing, milk
Dinner - meat (steak, beef, etc. in small quantities) w/ white carbs
I'm thinking of doing the cabbage soup crash diet (7 days) only once so I could lose weight faster. I know it's unhealthy, but I want to lose weight ASAP. Could I do this diet along with exercising for 60mins on the treadmill or would I really overdo myself? After I do the cabbage soup crash diet, would I gain all lost pounds and additional pounds even though I start eating healthy (ex. my typical meal plan) and continue to use the treadmill?
I'll also be consuming ice cream (1 scoop) and/or french fries (less than 20 pieces) in moderation.
By doing this, I think I'll benefit more than I would be at a disadvantage. I'll have self-control, be active, be healthy and learn how to manage properly.

the cabbage soup itself is healthier than some items on your typical meal plan but as you have highlighted yourself, crash dieting has its downsides (What It Takes to Lose It All)
I found a fascinating book about crash dieting that does the topic more service than I could.
