Hi all,
Ok, Im gettig desperate now. I am currently 26 years old, 162lb and 5'8" tall. I know I am not overweight (according to my BMI) but I would like to drop to 140lb (10 stone) which would be my ideal. I know some people may think that will make me a very slim, but I was at this weight a while ago and didn't look too thin. I have basically been dieting on and off since early 2009, I was 203lb and have lost 41lb over 2 years, but now I really need to lose the final 22lb ready for my winter holiday and Christmas. I am really just trying to get a little help, whether it's a little advice or a diet buddy to assist in my journey, possibly someone in the same position as me? I seem to be having major issues with exercise at the moment, I can't afford the gym so need to get off my bottom and go jogging etc at home.
Thanks in advance :)

As we get closer to our goal results slow down and we need to be a bit more precise about what we eat because it becomes easier to 'erase' a calorie deficit with a careless mistake.
Based on your stats, you should be eating 1700-1850 calories assuming you are male (female 1530-1680).
It is unlikely you'll be hitting your target range without actually counting calories or planning what you'll be eating.
Exercise will help too. In Milton Keynes budget gyms start at £15 a month but as you say outdoor exercise is also available (I cycle 30-40 miles in a typical week just getting around).
Check out the tutorial if yu have not already.

I have an answer that I know will raise eyebrows...
I also had a hard time losing that last 10 lbs and what I ended up doing was fast 1 day a week until it was gone. Took about 6 weeks (or 6 times). It wasn't a fancy fast. I got the idea because I had a colonoscopy once and the doctor had me fast the day and night b4. I could have all the beef broth, diet jello, s/f popsicles I wanted and it was pretty easy so I thought I would try it once a week to see if I could "force" those last few pounds off me. It worked.

Nat: No need to be desperate. But once you are down to your lower body fat, it does get a little harder to move. And your body may be just too use to the routine you have been following.
You may have to trick your body into giving up the last of that fat! Change up your routine so it can't figure out what you are doing.
Change your food mix: have only protein at lunch and only carbs at dinner
Change your calories for the day: if you normally eat 1500 a day, change it to 1800 today and 1200 the following day.
change your exercise routine: If you have been running 5 days a week, change it to 2 days a week and do strength training the other days.
Have a high fat meal at lunch and then only veggies for dinner.
If you always eat cereal for breakfast, change to egg white omelets
If you are a coffee drinker, change to tea.
And while Smarty suggested fasting for a whole day, you could do a moderation of that and fast for one meal a week.
Good Luck
