16 year old male. 6'00". Currently 220 lbs.
On May 31st, I weighed 235 pounds. I have been off and on diets for the past three years. I've always been big, but when I was told I'm actually obese, I knew action had to be taken.
By making healthier food choices, eating much smaller portions, and exercising more, I weighed 207 pounds this past Friday. I kept with it. Didn't stop ANYTHING. I then bounced back to where I am now.
I find this is the norm. Anytime I diet, I start to make progress. Then for no reason, I gain it back. It always gets back to where I started, and usually surpasses that. I don't want to weigh 235+ again, and I see myself going back.
I'm currently averaging 1300 calories a day. The majority of what I eat is healthy, I'd say! I get a lot of exercise. As of July 17th, I cut out any beverages that aren't water or milk. I never eat more than 150 calories of "sweets" a day. This had been working perfectly, and without problems!
Why am I going back? Please help me figure something out so I don't end up back there...

You're eating too little. I'd be shooting for 1800-2000.
