| Ok, this is more of an advice type question. I'm a receptionist--I am the keeper of the visitor's and staff candy. My job is boring, and the projects I havea are boring. It's not fabulous candy--how do I stay away from it?

If that candy wasn't there, there would always be the candy machine. Or the 7-Eleven. Or something. It's up to you to resolve not to eat it. Period.
Personally I find it easier to totally abstain from something than to tease myself with a little. I don't necessarily mean that you shouldn't ever have sweets, but never have the candy at work.
You have to find what works for you. That's what works for me.

you could start using candies you dont like, like i dont like fruit flavour, so i would put in some orange or cherry candies, and i wouldnt eat them...better, if youre allergic to something like peanut butter lol
i would just try and refrain, by giving myself other treats, like healthy snacks, or fill up on water so you dont want any, or use lipstick and dont eat any because it will mess it up...
good luck!

| Thanks, both of you for your ideas--I've been trying the healthy snack option this week and most of last week. I think I had a tootsie roll (Midgee :) 10 calories each) on Friday. But, other than that, it seems to be going well. Lipstick is a good idea too :) But that would be better if there were something like chocolate cake, or brownies in the reception area :) Or whole candy bars--or giant cookies--or . . . Pie, with no knives or forks!
