Hey,
Just checking back. Have to update my food for the day. Add half a grilled cheese sandwich. My soup was great calorie wise. Chicken breast, broth, carrot, celery, onion and fresh spinach. Really good and filling.
Ok, off to TURBO! I may have to modify my work out for me knee, but that is all. I'll check back after my work out!
Oh, ITS SNOWING IN COLORADO AGAIN! Good grief, we wont thaw out until spring!

hiii!!! i'm here! we're here! this is so exciting! i'm so glad you found this! i've actually been to this website before, but never knew that you could create forums! this is soooo cool!
so i went to the gym today and did an hour long spinning class that was just so amazing and then i did another 10 minutes on one of the cybex (like an elliptical) machines. 550 calories :). what'd you do today?! it felt so good to take a shower after i was done working out. i can't wait to do turbo!
i woke up at 8 this morning and felt so much better than yesterday. i don't feel any of the nasty symptoms that i did yesterday, thank God. Chris took off work, too, and woke up at 1 pm! lucky boy! i went to California Pizza Kitchen and got a bbq chicken salad (no dressing, so it was all just salad and bbq chicken pieces cut up in it).
here are the rest of my eats today:
b- 1 c. kashi cereal with 1/2 c. soy milk
s - 1 c. kashi cereal
l - salad and lindt chocolate (2 servings)
s - 1 c. kashi cereal
d - not sure yet
i'm still not sure if chris and i are going to do anything for our anniversary tonight because he's sick still. we'll see, though! 7 years today! i can't believe it! i haven't really gotten him a present for our anniversary yet. i'm giving him the extra nintendo wii remote that i'd bought, which i mean, i don't see it as really a great present because it was already something that i had just decided not to return, and he knows about it. and then i got him a mini calendar for 365 days that has 365 dumb george bush quotes, lol, which he was looking at in december and thought it was kinda funny. my present that i told him i was going to get was a nintendo wii game, which i'm still going to get, but i just wanted things to actually give him on our anniversary.
k, well he just called me to tell me he's coming over now! girl, i'm excited!!
talk to you tomorrow hopefully!

Yea!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Your hear!! ( I came back to edit my post, but left my mistake. I'm HERE, not HEAR! haha what a dork ) I'm so excited. And it posts right away!
I did my Punch and Kick video, but had to keep it a little bit at a lower pace, but it feels awesome to do Turbo! My knee is better! I must of twisted it or something. I won't be able to do a squat for a while, but I'll keep up. Oh we need to go back and get that one rotation that includes the ball!
Have a wonderful evening and Happy Anniversary! I hope we meet some awesome ladies that love to Turbo Too!!!!

good morning! how are you?! yep! i'm here! i had the best night last night! it was so much fun! he blindfolded me and took to me The Melting Pot fondue restaurant, and we had 4 courses of amazing food! it was sooooo good! and we video taped some of it and we just had the best time! i typed a post before, but i lost it, so i'm gong to abbreviate what i wrote until later, lol.
we had champagne, though, and it really did a number on us. between the food and champagne, i passed out after we came home. the whole dinner took almost 2.5 hours! it was amazing! you definitely have to go!
k, well i'll talk to you later! great job working out yesterday!

Good Morning my friend!
Oh your night sounds like so much fun. Lyle and I HAVE to go to that restaurant sometime!!!!
So what are you doing today? I'm taking today as a rest day and tomorrow I'll do the treadmill. I was moving wrong in my chair and my knee hurts! #%@&! #%@&! #%@&!! I'm sick of this. I'll go to the Dr. next week if it doesn't get better.
My eats for today are more on the fattening side, so I'll have to really use portion control. Lyle has been craving some things.... so I'm cooking for him. He wants pork avocado burritos. I'm marinating the pork, it is very low fat. Then I'll makee up some green chili for them. That is basically pork, tomatoes, chicken broth, green chili's, so not to bad . but he also wants tacos. He must be having sympathy cravings from my daughter in laws! Who by the way are both not feeling well! Tough these first few months being pregnant. Anyway, so I'll make him his yummy stuff and will just be real careful. I also think we will eat early, like around 3:00 or so, so that will help.
Are you doing Turbo today? Or is this your rest day.
Hey and I wanted to say, I see there are a lot of people looking at our post. PLEASE please join us. We are very motivated and are in for the long haul. We love Turbo and when this rotation is over we have another one (which we need to go find)
Have a great day my friend,
Katie

Hey buddy,
Just checking in. Gosh I have been cooking all day! I'm basically cooking Lyle a good Mexican combo dinner!
He rented The Wicker Man for us to watch. Have you seen it? And you know what? Today has turned into a Jammie day for me. What a bum!
Oh, the news just showed a huge avalance outside of denver! The CDOT said it was the biggest they have seen. Went right over the highway. So far they are getting everyone ok. We have just had so much snow. That would be my worst fear being in something like that.
How are your eats for the day. Lyle went to get us stuff for Margaritas! there is this recipe. Oh here I'll copy it real quick.
INGREDIENTS
- 1 (12 fluid ounce) can frozen limeade concentrate
- 6 fluid ounces beer
- 6 fluid ounces tequila
- 4 cups ice
- 1 lime, sliced
DIRECTIONS
- In a blender combine limeade, beer and tequila. Fill blender to the top with ice. Blend until thick and smooth.
- Salt the rims of 2 large margarita glasses. To do so, pour salt onto a small plate, moisten the rims of the glasses on a damp towel and press them into the salt.
- Serve the margaritas in the salted glasses and garnish with slices of lime.
I know it sounds crazy putting a beer in it, but we have had it before and it is wonderful! then you have to add a dash of Grand Marnier! But man that stuff is expensive! We will be asleep by 7:00! hahahah
Hope you had a wonderful day, see you tomorrow,
Katie

Hey there,
Here my are eats for today.
B- One egg, two egg white scramble. one ww toast and one small sausage
L/D - One small potato (starting tomorrow, no more white stuff boo hoo so I will be eating only sweet potatoes) and steak.
Hope your having a great weekend! tomorrow is Cardio one??? For anyone reading this, we HATE Cardio party one, so we sub it with the total body blast.
Hope you can check in later, if not see you tomorrow!

good morning! what's going on my friend?! you DEFINITELY have to go to The Melting Pot with Lyle some day! it's definitely one of those "special occassion" places, at least for us it is. we're not ones to spend 100 bucks on dinner for 2. if we end up spending 30 bucks, it's "pricey," lol.
so your knees are STILL hurting?! that's awful! definitely go to the doctor! if you want to wait to start on week 9 because of your knees, let me know! i'll just go to the gym. no biggie for me! honestly!
pork avocado burritos?! i've NEVER heard of those! are they good? and that's so cool that they're low in fat?! how did they turn out? i bet they were great!
i didn't do turbo at all this weekend. this week 8 has really thrown me for a loop, lol. it's been one thing after the other, and i just didn't do more than a few days of it. i worked out in one way or another, but i was sick, and my knees were hurting, too. i say week 8 is cursed, lol. i went for a two hour walk yesterday in our woods with chris. it was so great to just walk around in the woods. it was so peaceful and sweet. we had a lot of fun.
i've actually never seen the wicker man before. how was it?! it looked really scary to me! i saw "lady in the water" and "little miss sunshine" this weekend with chris, though. they're both alright movies.
there was an avalanche?! that's so scary! you said everyone was alright, though? it's so crazy that you guys have the worst weather right now, and our past weekend, it was high 60s. twisted!
my eats for the weekend were alright. i ate a lot, but most of it was really healthy stuff. i didn't notice any weight gain really, so that was good.
here are my eats for today:
b - 2 60 calories eggo waffles with sugar free syrup (1 tsp) and a bite of honey dew melon
s - string cheese
l - 1 oz. corned beef, 2 slices t. bacon, 1 slice cheese, salad, on light wheat bun and an orange
s - fruit or soy nuts
d - chicken kabobs! yum yum!
how about you? what are your eats like for today?
your marg. mix sounded yummy! if i didn't hate tequila, i'd try it, lol. i'm glad you guys enjoyed it!
k, well it's time to work for me!
i'll check to see if you posted soon!

Good Morning my friend!
Hey, your weekend sounds like so much fun! And I would love to walk in the woods! I have noticed that people around here are kinda cranky! Everyone is just sick of this weather and guess what? The forecast for next weekend???? SNOW!! The up side? We have been so dry that this moisture will be very welcomed. In fact we have not had our boat out once last year, the lakes were all just to low, so maybe this summer we can get it out and play!
So how were those movies? I have wanted to see both. Oh Sonia, The Wicker Man was freaky! there is a twist at the end, you should watch it. It isn't a movie I would want to buy, but very entertaining! Your sure on the edge of your seat.
Hey guess what I had this morning? Steak and eggs! hahahah Very filling. We bbq'ed last night, made rib eyes. I only usually eat half, so had the other half this morning. Very filling!
My eats look like this.
B- Small steak and one egg
L- Salad with grilled chicken. I'll measure out 2 ounces
D- Grilled hamburger with out the bun, lettuce tomato and onion. Oh and a pickle!
Snacks will be a apple!
And thank you for waiting for me with my knee. It is better this morning. I think I'm going to do my turbo, I'll just modify with the squats. Then I'm thinking a couple of miles on the treadmill. When I walk it doesn't hurt at all, it is just the squatting. And I don't think the Turbo was at all responsible because I have never had any discomfort doing my work outs, I just think I turned it wrong sometime????? Its a mystery! lol!
Hope your having a great morning! See you in a bit.
Katie
Oh and do you see how many people have been here? Wonderful but hey, chime in people! We would love to have more turbo friends!

Well let me update my snack. 1/2 cup refried beans with a smidge shredded cheese and jalapeno?????????????????????? AM I NUTS!! I saw it in the fridge and just could not resist! The beans were 70 calories, the cheese probably only 50. I think I must be having sympathy eating issues for my pregnant daughter in laws! hahahahaha
How is your day going?

hey there! i think this color is so cute! lol! i'm so easily amused! ha. my weekend was definitely a lot of fun. i couldn't have had a better one. i thank God so much for all the blessings He's given me. i just feel so blessed that i get to spend time with the people i love, and that we're all healthy and happy. sappy, yep, but that's the kind of mood i'm in right now, lol.
i just got back from lunch! i had less than an ounce of lean corned beef, 2 slices t. bacon, no salad, on a light wheat bun, but i had about a cup of raw carrots with a little light italian dressing. mmm! i'll have to have my orange in a little while for that sweet craving.
so people are cranky there?! can you blame them???? they're stuck in their houses! i'd be so ticked off! and the fact that there's MORE snow, that's just another wrecker. the whole boat concept, though, for the summer is good, though. you should definitely have plenty of water to go out on! that'll be so much fun!
the movies i saw were okay. i liked little miss sunshine more than the other one. i'll haev to see wicker man! i'll request it from my blockbuster online account! thanks for the recommendation!
did you really have steak and eggs for breakfast!?! hahahhaha, i bet that tasted really good! i thought that was something people only ate in the movies at diners late late at night, lol.
your grilled chicken salad looks really good. don't forget to add some another snack to your day! at least two! i want a hamburger tonight, now that you mention it! with baked fries! yummy!
as for working out, if you're having these knee troubles, don't do the treadmill. i know you want to and you want to lose more weight, but in the end, if you have a bummed knee, you won't be able to workout for a long time, and then there go all the fun turbo workouts! definitely modifying with the squats is a great idea. i think you're on the right track with that one. i just know from firsthand experience that the treadmill can be really a silent killer of the knees.
how do i see how many people have been looking at our site? i still have so much to figure out! definitely come join us people! the more the merrier!
hahahaha, i just read your sympathy eating post! at least it was semi healthy! i think you're on the right track! keep doing what you're doing!
my dad is going well. i'm kinda doing a little work here and there. i have a.d.d. right now, lol. i'll talk to you soon!
i love how i can see through my email when you post on here! this is awesome!

Hey Girl,
Just finished up my salad! Yum! I got it from McDonalds. I looked it up and it is only 240 calories. I used my own dressing. I use seasoned rice vinegar and a small amount of blue cheese. Terrible, but that is where all the calories are from. So now I'm nice and full. I'm going to do a few things around here then it is turbo time. And thanks, your right, I will stay off the treadmill until I'm healed. I'm just so ready to work out hard!!! I love it when I can work out from 2:00 to 4:00!! But I'll take care so that it will heal and I can again. With the Turbo, I' just don't squat and bring the intensity down. BUT I HATE HAVING TO DO THAT! hahahahah
I also just made my menu for the week. Generally I shop on Mondays, but I have stuff we need to eat, so I'll go on Wednesday. I need to call my mother in law and see if she needs anything.
Hey, I'm going to walk across the street and take some photo's of the house and stuff, then when it snows again you can see. I talked to my mom this morning and she said she heard a report that we are suposta have the worst winter in 100 years. Crazy!!!! I bet the skiers are loving it! Have you snow skied? Ohhhh the stories I could tell! lol
Ok, going to get things done, I'll chat with you after my work out.

that's so crazy! i was JUST trying to find the link to post something to you! that's awesome! that's so great that you had your salad! i bet it was so nice! i just a had a little piece of chocolate (white chocolate covered cashews - two of them), and it was great because it was just enough sweet stuff to satisfy me, and most of it was nuts anyway, so i feel full from them, too.
by the way, i think using your own dressing was the best idea! it really makes it guilt free and good for you!
and trust me, i know it's hard to not get going with full intensity, but it's better to heal first, and pump it when you're healed! :)
i can't wait to see your pics! ha, that face is so weird. i saw it on the side and just had to comment on it. it looks high, lol.
i've definitely been snow skiing before, but haven't gone since i was 13 i want to say, at the oldest. you have stories!?! tell!
ttys!

I had to put some more air in my ball, but it is ready! I know you will be leaving for home soon, so have a good train ride! And your snack?? DELISH!!!!!!! And just 2? Good girl! I don't know if I could have stopped at just two, I'm very proud of ya!
See you in a bit,

HEY! lol, thanks! it was easy to stop at 2 because i dropped the third on the ground and stepped on it by accident, lol. i need a nap!
i'm taking this gym class tonight called ZUMBA, and it's like a latin dance class, so i'm so excited! my friend and i have been looking forward to it for weeks now! and then it's turbo time! fun!
you're right, too. i'm almost done and will be going home! i'm so excited, too! i need caffeine! lol.
i'll talk to you later! have a great night and a great workout and eat well!

good morning! oh my gosh the latin dance class (zumba) was so much fun last night! i went with my friend and we were SWEATING! they actually have dvds for the class, just like turbo jam does with turbo kick (the gym version). it was a lot of fun. we did 40 minutes on the cybex, too.
oh! so last night i was talking to my mom and i was showing her the outfit i was going to wear to work the next day, and as i was leaving the room, she asked me if i was eating?!?!?!?!! and turned around and smiled and was like, "do you look that skinny?!?!?" lol, and i was so excited, b/c i'm definitely eating! ha.
at the gym, i got my body fat tested, too, and i'm 22.9% body fat, so i'm between trim and healthy, which i'm psyched about. my goal is that next time they do a free reading and measurements, i'm officially trim, which is 20% body fat or below. there's one more level below that, just to let you know, and i'm sure it's like, "you're a skeleton," lol, so i'm not aiming for that one. ha. so they took my body measurements, too:
arm: 9"
thigh: 20"
hips: 36"
waist: 26.5"
pretty interesting. and my weight was 113, after dinner, with clothes on, so i'm thinking i probably weigh around 110 to 111. my thing, though, was that i really can't imagine losing much more weight. maybe 5 pounds more of fat, but i mean, most of me is turning into muscle now, so i feel like i'm always going to weigh more than the 100-102 pounds i used to weigh before, so it's something i've come to terms with for sure, and i honestly don't mind. as long as my booty is tight and my abs are flat, i'm good! lol.
i set my alarm for 5:15 this morning, and it never went off! i was supposed to do booty sculpt and cpr and then go to work, but i woke up, on my own, at 7:05 am, and i was so confused b/c it's never light out when i wake up! so i missed my first train that i usually take, and had to take the later one! yikes! i'm going to work out tonight, though.
we're finally having our family dinner tonight at a restaurant, so i'm excited for that. i'll workout after we get back. should be fun!
how are your knees feeling? and how was your workout? i miss seeing chalene in the morning when i wake up! lol, but now i have to get a new alarm! i always just used my cell phone, so this stinks that it doesn't work anymore! that means no more sleeping on the train for me either!!! poo...ha.
so my eats for the day look like this:
b - 2 slices light 7 grain bread with 1.5 oz. turkey meat, 1 slice american cheese, toasted with spray butter (yum!) and a hershey's kiss (it was on my dresser from last night, lol)
s - string cheese
l - 2 oz. lean corned beef in a ww pita with carrots and salad dressing (light italian) and a little salad to put in my pita, oh, and a slice of cheese and 1/2 a grapefruit
s - a little chocolate (i've decided that if i restrict myself with this, it makes it 10 times worse, so i might as well have a little to satisfy my cravings, then i'm good - you should do the same with mexican food!) and 1/4 c. soy nuts
d - mediterranean food! we're going to a new restaurant so i'm guessing i'll be getting some sort of beef, lamb, or chicken! yum! and portion control will be exercised for sure!
k, well i can't wait to hear from you! ttys!

Good Morning!
Oh that is funny and terrible about your snack and dropping one and stepping on it!!
So how are you today?
I have to tell you something I think so funny. I have told you about my Salt water tank. Well yesterday it was so funny. We have a porcupine puffer, I’ll insert a photo, he is getting so big and funny. He will only eat if you hand feed him. He is eating scallops and shrimp now. So last night I was feeding him and he got a big mouth full of water and spit on me! I bet it was about ¼ cup of water! I read on the internet that they get playful and will do that. It was so funny to see him do that, little stinker!!!
Well here are my eats for today.
B - one slice ww toast and one egg
S- ½ apple
L- Salad and small bowl of squash apple soup (I made it a while ago and froze individual servings. It is just squash, apple and chicken broth)
S- other ½ of my apple
D- Bean soup! I totally don’t feel like it, but I have all the stuff, really low fat too.
Hey, I see you just posted, I’ll post mine and go read yours.
I need to check and see what our work out is for the day. Did you get your yesterday? How are your weigh ins going. I’m staying steady at 175. I REALLY want to get into the 160’s! But when we started this I was steady at 178/178 so at least I am lower.
Ok my friend, see you in a bit,
Katie

HHAHHAHAHAH! HE SPIT ON YOU?! that's so funny!did it go on your face? and is that really your puffer down there? the quality of the pic is so great!
to be honest with you, regarding turbo, i haven't done it since wednesday, so i'm dying to do it! i can't wait for tonight. that's why i was saying miss waking up to chalene, lol. the thing with me, though, is that i know i wont' fall out of doing turbo. i just had a series of events that prevented me from doing it, and now they're gone, and i'm getting a new alarm, and am ready to workout!
your eats look really good. those beans are going to fill you up! i think that, like you said, even if you don't really feel like eating it, it's really good for you. have a little something that you want, too, though, so you feel happy and satisfied at the end of your meal :).
i just had my chocolate and string cheese as my morning snack, lol. i have it at the wierdest times!
how's the snow situation over there? getting better at all? or did it actually snow more like you were saying it was going to?
ttys!

Hey,
I just read your post. I'm so excited about the class!!! Zumba?? It sounds like so much fun. Can I get these DVD's?? Are you going to get them? I can't wait to here.
And your body fat is incredible!!! I'm so proud of you. and your measurements, your so little! And I know you have worked your A** off to get there, so good for you!!! I took my measurements years ago, it was a little frightening! hah! But I should do it again.
And your right about your chocolate! If you crave it, just have a little bit. And don't they say it is actually healthy for you? Dark chocolate? Yea!!!
Have a great morning!!

hey! go to zumba.com
it's really cool! i feel like i'd have to get the dvds to learn the moves better because it's dancing. just like with turbo. there are certain moves that you just have to do over and over again to get, especially if you've never seen the dvds before, you just don't know how to break down the move. the twist (example) was really hard for my sister to get at first. i'll have to check to see how much the dvds are, and if they're reasonable, and have a good return policy in case i hate them (for some reason), i'd think about getting them. check it out, though, and let me know what you think.
ha, thanks about the measurements! i dont' really know what to compare myself to. i wish i knew what i was like before, when i had my "ideal" body, but i'm really happy with where i am right now. just a little more! and i think that your beign down even 3 pounds is just wonderful! i mean, think of all the muscle you've turned into fat! that weighs way more! and people wouldn't be commenting, telling you you lost weight if you didn't actually look like it, ya know?! so you're doing so well! definitely take your measurements, too! i think you'll be pleasantly surprised! you still working towards the leather jacket/chaps??
i should definitley go for the dark chocolate. i actually still have christmas candy left (which never happens! lol), so i'm chomping on that until it's done. my sister's boyfriend gave us this dark chocolate bark candy though, with almonds in it, and it's SO good! when i finish my candy, i'll have to start eating that. mmm...
k, well i'll talk to you soon!
Sonia

Hey, good job with lunch. I got my almost zero calorie soup I think I’m going to roast up some chicken and put that in it for protein. I will have a very low calorie day going!
It feels so good when people comment, doesn’t it. And hearing that helps me to stay on track!!!! So thank you!!
Well I’m off to clean the fish tank. Oh, that picture was on a web site. My puffer lays in the back of the tank most of the day sleeping. I still think that is so funny that he squirted me!

0 calorie soup?! amazing! i know you said, "almost," but still! that's awesome! the protein idea is a great one, too. it'll hold you over for longer, especially since you aren't consuming many calories.
i think that's hysterical about the puffer, still. what a fun little fish!
obviously, i'm playing around with the colors right now, but i'm having fun, lol.
k, well i'll talk to you soon!

Hey,
Wow, that soup with the chicken was so filling! I couldn't even finish it!
Oh, Alicia sent me some really cute photos of my grand kids! I'll forward them to you. Soooo cute!
did you ever watch The Last Comic Standing? Well the winner, Josh Blue will be in Colorado Springs. That is only about 40 min. away from where Zach and his family live. Anyway, he will be performing next Saturday the 13, which is actually Zach's birthday! So I got him and his wife tickets!! We planned to be in Pueblo on Saturday to baby sit, but WERE GETTING MORE SNOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Luckily this area has been declared a disaster area so were getting government funding to help with the removal of the snow. I just hope Zach can get to Springs to see Josh Blue. He is so funny!!!
Well I'm going to do some ironing and then its Turbo time!!!!!! Today is 3t? I will manly do the arms because I can't squat! But my knee is getting better.
Oh, I was watching t.v. while eating my lunch, I turned it over to the foodnetwork and Rachael Ray was making this yummy looking meal that looks very calorie friendly. Here it is:
Turkey Cacciatore Burgers on Portobello "Buns"
Recipe courtesy Rachael Ray
See this recipe on air Tuesday Jan. 09 at 2:30 PM ET/PT.
1 1/3 pounds ground turkey breast, the average weight of 1 package
Salt and pepper
6 crimini mushrooms (baby portobellos) stems removed and finely chopped
1/2 red bell pepper, seeded and chopped
1/2 yellow onion, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, smashed away from skin and finely chopped
3 tablespoons tomato paste
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
1/2 cup grated Parmigiano-Reggiano or Romano, a couple of handfuls
Handful flat-leaf parsley, chopped
Extra-virgin olive oil, for drizzling
4 large portobello mushroom caps, stems removed
Coarse salt and black pepper2 cups arugula leaves, coarsely chopped
1/2 pound fresh mozzarella or fresh smoked mozzarella, thinly sliced
Sliced red onion and sliced yellow and plum tomatoes
Preheat oven to 450 degrees F. Heat a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat.
Combine meat with salt and pepper, chopped crimini mushrooms, chopped bell pepper, chopped onion, garlic, tomato paste, Worcestershire, crushed red pepper flakes, cheese and parsley. Score and form meat into 4 large patties, 1 inch thick. Drizzle extra-virgin olive oil on top the patties then fry 5 or 6 minutes on each side in a hot skillet.
Place portobello caps on a small baking sheet gill side up and drizzle extra-virgin olive oil on them. Roast the caps 12 minutes. Remove them from the oven and season them with salt and pepper. Turn oven off. Top each cap with about 1/2 cup arugula and a burger. Cap burger with mozzarella and place back in still-warm oven. Melt the cheese 1 minute. Transfer burgers on "bun" bottoms to plates. Top with onions and tomatoes and serve.
doesn't that just look yummy??
Ok, off I go. See you in a bit,

Hey buddy,
I know that you will be going home soon. Have a great night!!!! I'm getting ready to do 3 to right now! I'm still full from lunch! **burp**
Oh and guess what? I ordered this beautiful jacket from Newport News. Well I had not heard anything from them so called to see where my jacket it. They said it was delivered and signed for yesterday from a Sisson???????????????????? WHAT!? I personally know my UPS man, I can't imagine him going somewhere else!! So they are going to "investigate". What ever, just send ME my jacket. Why would they let a Sisson sign for Bickel?????? So that is a bummer. I didn't want a problem, just my jacket.
Have a great night!! Are you going to Chris's? have fun.

i never watched a full episode of The Last Comic Standing, but i remember who Josh Blue is. That's so cool that he's coming to your neck of the woods! Sounds like he's really doing well for himself. And i think that's so awesome that you got tickets for Zach for his bday! It seems so far away, but it'll go by so quickly!
so your town is getting government funding now?! that's amazing that it's gotten to that point! thank God you guys dont' have to bare the burden by yourselves!
and you're correct! today is 3t! easy day! i can't wait to do it when i get home! im' going to dinner with my family, then going to the gym for an hour, and am doing 3t when i'm home! so excited! yes! let me know how your workout goes!! and definitely be careful for your knees. no lunges either!

Hey Girl,
Oh man, Lyle didn't get home until after midnight last night. What a day he had, so after eating and such it was after 1:00 before we went to bed.
Now I'm up, showered and going to get my mother in law and take her to the store.
I'll write you when I get back. Going to be one of "those" days!
Have a great morning,
Katie

hey! no way! i was JUST posting to you when i saw that you posted! we're on the same time! i think that's hysterical! so lyle got home that late?! that's terrible! he must be so exhausted! you make him better ;)? hahhaha. sorry, i had to.
have fun with gwen today! you're such an angel! :)
my night last night was alright. i'll email you about it more, though. i got chicken marsala for dinner and it was really good.
so i woke up this morning at 5 am, which was the first time i'd done that in ages! and i didn't want to work out! i really felt like i was just losing it. i got changed, though, and got my butt downstairs and did p,k,& j and 3T and i still have ab jam to do! i'm going to the gym tonight with my friend, too, and we're going to be taking another zumba class! yay! and then we'll probably get on the cybex elliptical machine again for a while longer. burning tons of calories today!
here are my eats for the day:
b - 2 blueberry eggo waffles with sugar free syrup, 1 cup light soy milk with 1/2 scoop whey protein powder
s - 18 soy crisps, cheddar flavor! mmm! (110 calories)
l - 2 oz. lean corned beef, 1 slice cheese, carrots with light italian dressing, whole wheat pita, and 1/2 grapefruit
s - either 18 soy crisps again or 1/4 c. soy nuts (we'll see!)
d - not sure yet
have a great day! can't wait to hear from you!

hey there! so i just finished my lunch and even though i'm not hungry anymore, i want more! i have my soy crisps underneath my desk, but i'm making a deal with myself to at least wait until 2 pm before i eat a snack, and if i still want it, then i'll eat it.
tomorrow, i have my first appointment with my doctor in THREE WEEKS! it's been forever! that's 60 bucks i saved by not seeing her, though, lol. i feel like i'm doing just fine, too. i'm almost positive i'm going to change it so that i see her every other week now. it's just money saved, and i'll still be getting help. what do you think, though? do you think that i'm ready for not seeing someone weekly? i feel like the holiday time shouldn't really count because it's such an extraordinary period of time. your opinion matters to me! let me know :).
so about zumba, are you going to ask for it for your bday, or get it for yourself for your bday? i'll get it when you do, if you still want to get it :). i haven't done any of the turbo ball dvds in forever! tomorrow is only fat blaster for our workout! what an easy day! i think i'll add ab jam to that so i'll get that in tomorrow instead of tonight after i get back from over an hour and a half of being at the gym. ya know? and i'll probably do it with weighted gloves, too. fun!
next monday, when it's CP1, we should do one of the ball dvds! what do you think?
oh, how was your workout yesterday? you doing alright? not in pain? hope not!
k, well i'll talk to you later! hope shopping went well!

Howdy!
I’m baaaccckkk! We were at Wal-Mart forever! My mother in law is so sweet I can’t stand it. She is a great roll model for me with my daughter in laws! It is so snowy and icy that I do not want her to venture out alone. And she is so sweet, I’m glad to take her. We got her bills all paid, bank stuff done. Now I have to get my bills paid. I’m so tired! I hate to complain because Lyle is back at it! Poor guy. But he just keeps plugging along.
Hey, I’m doing ok with my work outs. I can’t wait until I’m jumping around like crazy, sweating my butt off and not worrying about my knee. It IS better, I just think these kind of things take a while. So like you said, were here for the long haul and if I have to baby it for several weeks, then I will, and the Turbo is so awesome, you really can get your work out in and be careful. Its just that I know the routine so well I want to PUMP IT! Hahahah.
OH here is my “girl complaint” Da** I had my nails so pretty and getting so long. Was shopping and jammed my finger and broke off my nail. It is the middle one. I can’t stand to have long-short-long nails. Just drives me nuts, so I have to trim them all down and start again. I know, no biggie hahahah But I love them nice and Purdy! J Makes that hunkin ring Lyle got me look good!
Oh Sonia, I really think that you could go every 2 weeks. From the first time we got together with Turbo, I can really hear a difference in how you treat food and your feeling about your body! I head loads of positive talk! And if you want your chocolate, you just have a little and don’t beat your self up. I promise though if I hear from your posts that you need to go back to once a week I will tell you. What do you think? Can you feel the difference?
Hey, I have that turkey burger cooking right now! I toasted the portabella mushroom, yum! It smells so good. The recipe made 4 burgers, so I’ll be set for the rest of the week! I’ll let you know how they are, but I know they are going to be great!!
Ok girl, I’m off to eat lunch. I can’t hardly keep my eyes open!
See you in a bit,
Katie

hey there! that's so awful that you broke a nail! i can't stand that! i mean, my nails are pretty long, but they're not beautiful by any means, so i really shouldn't be too sad when i break them, but it still stinks! i don't blame you for cutting them all off now.
those burgers! YUM! i bet they're going to be amazing!!!! so you're not going to share? lol.
i just had probably 2.5 servings of soy crisps, which is a little over 200 calories, so it's not going to break me. and with all the working out i'm going to do, it's nothing in comparison.
so based on how i think i feel, lol, and what you said, i'm definitely going to go forward with the 2 week span for my appointments! thanks for the advice! it'll be good to save 40-60 bucks a month, too :).
k, well i'm going to listen to some investment stuff and i'll talk to you later!

i thought your fish was so cute because i think of your little ones in your tank! too bad they don't have a naughty puffer in there!

Yes, we were doing Yoga Booty Ballet together. I fell off after about 8 weeks of it though. Now I'm doing Turbo jam. I just started today so I only have the original set of videos. But I will definitely come around and check on you guys. I see you have been doing really good with working out and the food. I am impressed that you are on week 9 of the rotation. I'm hoping that by week 9 I will be able to get the Max Results set and add to my rotation.

hey! what was it about YBB that made you not want to stick with it, out of curiosity? i think i'm going to try my free live dvd just for fun, to see if i'd like it. i doubt it's anything great, compared to turbo.
are you going to start with the beginner version or advanced? take it easy at first if you need to, and dont' worry, you'll get all the moves!
so what are your stats? height, weight, weight you want to lose, etc. if you don't mind sharing.
i'm five feet, 110 pounds, and when i started, i was 115-116. i can fit into almost all my old clothes now (when i was 102-104 lbs), so it's definitely muscle that's making up some of that extra weight, that's what i'm sticking with!
good luck with turbo! you'll love it!
katie - night! have a great workout! and take it easy!

I actually LOVED YBB. I think one thing that stopped me was the rotation in the package. After a while you end up working out for like an hour and a half. I didn't have time for all that. Then I wasn't seeing the weight loss I wanted. But I was seeing changes in my body. I know my tummy was tightening up which is one of my biggest problem areas. I think YBB is great for maintaining but if you are really looking to lose a lot of weight, then you might need something a little more intense. Of course that could have changed with the newer workouts they have now. I still only have the original set.
My stats:
Height: 5'7-8
Weight: 244 (YUCK!!!)
I need to lose about 85 lbs.
By the way, a friend of mine has the Zumba tapes. She let me borrow them for a little while. They were so much fun!!! I would highly recommend them.

Hey Ladies!
VANESSA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What in world are the chances that were still hanging in there!!! I got kinda sick of YBB what, 2 years ago?? Went back to the treadmill... I'm happy to say I have maintained and lost a little. I'm holding around 174-175! I so can't wait to get out of the 170's!!
I had the slim n 6, but got board of that too! My daughter in law now has it. Oh Vanessa, so much has changed, Here in a couple of months my last son will be married! I have 2 more grandchildren coming, which will be 6 in total (Yes, I'm only 44, Geeze my boys! :-)
I saw Turbo Jam on a infomercial and thought, Now That looks like fun! Got them and got onto the BB site. I know from before that the boards keep you here! I was fortunate to get on a board and meet which will now be my life long friend, Sonia! And my friend (you) found me??? It is meant to be. NOW you will get to your goal. Sonia is awesome and keeps me in line! hah! We post our eats for the day and update if we add on. It keeps me honest because I don't want to have to post.. SNACK, 4 COOKIES! HAH
I love love the Turbo Jam and have all of them. I have had to be careful because I somehow hurt my knee, but it is better. We left the BB site because the posting was so slow! I mean we would post and it would take 4 hours to post. Well when you need your buddies to help you at that moment, 4 hours just didn't cut it. So I went looking for a weight loss forum and found this one! How did you get here??
AND YOU DID THE ZUMBO?? We were thinking of ordering them and incorporating them in our rotation.
So fill me in on your last 2 years! hah!
Sonia, have a wonderful evening! Lyle just called and is going to be late which works because I have not done my work out. So my shoes are on and the DVD is in and I'm ready!!!!!! I totally feel lazy, but I'll be proud of my self when I'm done.
Sonia, would it work if we got the zumba in the end of Feb? Give me a chance to get some Christmas stuff paid off first. I actually just paid off 2 credit cards today. God that feels good! I have one that we used last year for vacation that REALLY needs me! hahahah
Hope you all have a great night! How fun! Vanessa's back!
Katie

hi ladies! how are you guys this morning?! hope you're both doing well!
vanessa - that's really cool about YBB that it's good for maintaining. it's good to know. i put in the live dvd that came with turbo last night and it looked pretty fun. i can't see the guy actually liking working out with them in that video, though. he's just so well, not graceful, lol. i only watched the first 10 minutes or so, but i'll check it out again later.
katie and i were looking into the hip hop abs dvds, but i think now we're looking for zumba! we both have bdays coming up, so i'm thinking that's what we'll be getting :). how often did you do the zumba tapes? i just took a gym class for it and it was really fun. i thought there was going to be another one last night, but it was street jazz, which was like, hip hop dancing (dancing like justin timberlake basically, lol). it was a lot of fun, but i'm not used to memorizing routines because i never danced until a few years ago, and that was only in a gym class at night a few times a week. it was a moderate to light aerobic workout. i was sweating the most when we actually had to do the routine. so much fun.
katie, you know it! life long friends forever! :) i was so ticked off the other night because my mom took down our christmas tree and i never took a picture of it. as you can obviously tell, i'm not very good with taking pics and i'm even worse at posting them. sorry!
so wait a second!!! you had 4 cookies?! i thought you didn't have a sweet tooth?!?!?!?! hahahhaa. what kind were they? i bet they were so good. send them my way! lol.
here are my eats for the day:
b - 3 (60 cal each) eggo light waffles with 1 cup soy milk and 1/2 scoop whey protein powder
s - orange
l - 2 oz. lean corned beef, 1 slice cheese, cherry tomatoes and carrots with light italian dresssing (less than 2 tbsp), whole wheat light pita, and 18 soy crisps
s - orange
d - thai food! i'm going out to dinner with my two friends from college. should be fun!and i'm not even nervous about my portions or eating food that isn't what i'm used to! big steps right here! lol
oh, so i woke up this morning at 4:45 and i decided to just get my bum out of bed and workout a few minutes early. i did fat blaster then went to the gym and worked out on the elliptical cybex machine for 50 minutes on the "weight loss" program. it was light aerobic exercise that whole time. i didn't want to sweat a ton because i'd already taken a shower. i just knew i wouldn't be able to go to they gym tonight because i was going out to dinner. OH! AND i guess i slept on my elbow the whole night, so i couldn't do any intense moves with my right arm, especially "speed bag." very sad. it'll hopefully be better by the end of the day.
what time did lyle end up getting in last night? hope it wasn't too late!
i'm glad you were pushing yourself to workout! i find that i feel lazy almost every morning i got up recently, but after i forced myself to workout, i felt great, and definitely didn't feel like a lazy bum.
for zumba, end of feb is great. just let me know when you're going to order it, and i'll order it the same day so we can start at the same time :).
congrats on paying off your cards! huge weight off your shoulders, right?! good for you!
oh, vanessa, by the way, your stats, you'll be losing so much weight with turbo! just stick with it, and follow the meal plan as much as you can. make subsitutes for things you don't like eating in the plan, and if you want a little snack of something you love, have it, but know taht it's not going to ruin your day, and just eat as you usually would after you've had your little indulgence. you'll drop those pounds in no time!
i'll talk to you guys soon!
Sonia

Katie, it is so funny that I found you! Of course New Years came around and I looked at myself and got disgusted that I am still carrying all this extra weight. I had been seeing the Turbo Jam infomercials regularly for quite a while. So I decided to take the plunge. Well, while waiting for my package to arrive, I decided to check out some info on it and see what people had to say. So I googled Turbo Jam and a link popped up for one of the threads on this forum...you know the big one. So I said let me see what else is on here and I found your thread. I remember seeing kbickel and I was like...NO WAY!!! Couldn't be the same Katie Bickel. So when I saw Katie at the bottom of the post I was floored. So of course I had to post. It's been so long.
The last two years....well, not much has changed. The biggest thing is my husband Greg and I finally bought our first house. We were so blessed to find it and the whole process between finding it and closing on it took 2 weeks. I found it on Craigslist on 11/30 and we closed on 12/15. Moved in on 12/30 so we are still unpacking and getting everything straightened out.
On the exercise front...not much. I also tried SI6. Borrowed it from a friend of mine. I got pretty bored with it too. I mean it's a great workout but to do the same one every day 6 days a week was just too much. So of course I fell off the wagon. It seems all it takes is missing a day or two or for TOM to come to stop me in my tracks. I am determined that it is going to be different. This time is gonna be my LAST time starting something. I AM GOING TO REACH MY GOAL!!! And now that I've found you again we're both gonna do great!!!Last edited on 12 January 2007 07:59 pm by

Good morning Sonia!
I wonder if the guy in the YBB Live tape is the same one that was in the original. I know the guy in the original looked like he was having too much fun. He wasn't real graceful but he worked his booty!!! *LOL*
I really hope I can get this weight off. I think TJ is really the thing to help me do it. I'm not really following a diet, but I am counting my calories. I eat what I want but I make sure to stay in my calorie range and get in the amount of exercise I need to burn the calories. It will be a slow process but slow and steady wins the race.
OK, I'm really going to do some work now. BBL.Last edited on 12 January 2007 08:00 pm by

Morning Ladies!
Sonia, your Hip Hop class sounds like so much fun!!!!! And thanks for waiting until feb. for the Zumba dance tapes. Hey we will have another tape to do instead of Cardio P 1. Today is Fat blaster? Love that one! I could do it every day.
Vanessa, you will love Fat blaster, only 20 min. and it kicks your butt! Which tapes have you done? What is your feeling about them? Are you sore??
Cardio Party one is Sonia’s and my least favorite! I’m not exactly sure why, but we sub different ones in place of that one.
I can’t wait to order the Zumba tapes! And after you said you liked them too. Sonia, thanks for waiting! And your right, getting cards paid off FEEL soooooo good!!! We had a Harley card we used to get some things for the bike so that is paid off!!
Oh here are my eats for the day. I was looking and noticed I didn’t post them yesterday!! But I had a good day. I have been snacking this morning! And I’m not even hungry.
Oh, I only used eating 4 cookies as a example, I didn’t eat them. I was just telling Vanessa that posting our eats keeps you from eating them as you would not want to post them. Luckily I don’t like them!
Vanessa, how exciting buying your new home!!! Moving is so much work! Unpacking! Lyle and I moved 6 times before we finally bought our home. We actually only have 7 more years and the darn thing is paid for! So many of our friends are where we are in our lives and they are moving. I’m like NO WAY! I’m staying in my little house!
Ok, here are my eats:
B- 2 egg whites, one egg scrambles with a turkey patty (the one I cooked up yesterday)
S- 4 potato chips, about 20 Fritoes! And a ww cracker ?????????????? Good grief!
L- Salad with 2 ounces grilled chicken
S- ½ Apple
D- Shake and Back chicken breast, Lemon Broccoli
Weighed this morning, down ½ pound. 174.5! I know, I weigh every morning. I went a week one time not weighing and I went up. It just keeps me honest.
Oh Sonia, Lyle didn’t get home until a little before eight. Then got called out at 1:30! And has been out ever since. He is exhausted. The weather forecast says were getting a little snow but very very cold! That is bad for the RR because the rails break. Poor guy!!
Ok, better get my day started. Hope you both have a wonderful morning! And good job Sonia on your exercise already! Your rock! Vanessa, what are you doing today for exercise??
Together we will meat out goals!!!
Katie

hey guys! how are you?! it's lunch time for me and then i'm off to my appointment so i'll be MIA for a little while.
vanessa, i'm not sure if the YBB dvd i have is the same as yours, but i think that's hysterical that the guy in your dvd was having a great time. it just seems like guys dancing provacatively is SO out of place, ha.
and yep, you will definitely lose all the weight you want to! turbo will help you for sure, and we will, too! start planning what you're going to eat ahead of time, and write it out on here, so that way, when you break the "plan," we can help you, give you advice, give you props, :), etc. it's also a good way for us to see where you could need some help, like if you don't eat breakfast, START TO! ha.
katie, my class was definitely fun! not the most intense workout, but fun. and no problem on waiting. anything for you, lol.
fat blaster today! have fun! i know you love it! and it definitely goes by so quickly! i think that's what i love about it most. it seems like it's over in a flash, but i'm sweating like crazy.
that's so cool that you guys had a harley card. i'm sure it made sense. you probably got great discounts from it! congrats again on the pay off:).
hahahha, i totally thought you ate 4 cookies and i was so shocked! lol. i figured they must have been mexican cookies, hahahaha.
oh ya, congrats on the new home vanessa! that's amazing! im' looking to buy a place by the end of the year. we'll see how it goes!
your eats look so healthy, katie! i bet your breakfast was really good. it's so funny because when i'm eating lunch, you're probably eating breakfast. and your snacks, that was probably a serving size, so no good griefing for you! lol.
yay! 1/2 a pound!?!?! that's great! i haven't weighed myself today, but i'll have to do it tomorrow. see where i'm at. should be interesting, lol.
poor lyle. he must not sleep well at all! i hope things get better for you guys son!
k, well i'm getting ready then i'm off to my appointment!
talk to you guys later!

I only bought the original set so I have:
- Learn & Burn
- 20 minute
- Turbo Sculpt
- CP1
- Ab Jam
- Booty Sculpt
I love the fact that the rotations are only 4 weeks. I know I can work that! Hopefully after the beginner and advanced rotations I will have enough money to get the Max Results set which includes the Fat Blaster, another CP and 2 more workouts. I think I'm just gonna stick with strictly TJ for now unless I decide to go to the gym one day.
I feel really bad for Lyle having to be out there in the cold like that. And working so many hours. That is not cool at all! I hope he gets a break soon.
